Who are you, really? And what would you do to make sure no one found out?
After a tragic accident that derailed her life, Sarah Foster finally feels like her life is back on track. She’s just purchased a house—a former school for troubled children—and plans to renovate it herself. But when she begins to demolish it room by room, she uncovers some disturbing things left behind in its walls.
And then—suddenly—she disappears.
Assigned to her case, Detective Cassidy Archer is skeptical at first. With a history of instability, Sarah may have left on her own. But as Cassidy learns more about Sarah and those closest to her, it becomes clear her disappearance may not be so simple after all.
I enjoyed the story quite a bit and although I solved the mystery, it was still fun to keep reading.
From an editorial standpoint, there were several times that the first person vs third person point of view was skewed in the same sentence and found a few sentences missing a word.
Would certainly read more from Sophie Shulman.
My thanks to the author, the publisher(s), and GoodReads for the Giveaway!
I loved the storyline, I was able to solve it, which was fun. I didn't necessarily like all the back and forth time periods, but it also wasn't horrible. I'm just not a fan of jumping around. Definitely would read this author again.
I received this book from a Goodreads giveaway. It was a pretty good story, but, there were a few distracting errors when the author switched from third person to first person. I do recommend this book, though.
