Well, guess you can't outrun who you are. Samm / Eve returns to her home town after receiving a panicked call from her sister Violet and fiance Fernando. Samm's family are witches and knowing her sister's dislike of non-magical men and her past antics, she is worried about her fiance's reception in Bigfoot Bay. After arriving in town, she finds her fiance is now a frog and her sister missing. Now she is stuck in town hiding her chameleon frog fiance and solving murders while plotting how she'll strangle her sister when she returns. With the help of her ex-boyfriend and best friend, Samm finds herself becoming more invested in the town than she wants. The more time she spends there, the more secrets are revealed, but are they secrets or just the blinders she's worn being ripped off?
Being normal is overrated. Why she wants to be is beyond me and one of the most annoying things about her. With all she is seeing and what everyone keeps telling her, you would think she would stop fighting who she is. It has been 13 years and she thinks her sister is still the same person she was at 10? Maybe Samm has not changed but everyone has to grow up at some point.
This was a fun’s et of books. Samm (Sammara) is a witch who left her family home years ago in order to have a “normal” life. In her case, that means she’s broke, and living in a tiny apartment in Chicago. But she does have a cute fiancé. But a strange call has her rushing back home only to discover her sister missing and her boyfriend turned into a blueberry eating frog that can morph into different colors, sizes, and forms. In order to get her human boyfriend back, she has to find her missing sister. And that’s not easy.
The world building is excellently done. Samm is interesting in that she is clueless as to what her home town is really like - as in being a witch isn’t as strange as she thought. Not with a best friend who’s a fairy and others in the town who are leprechauns, goblins, and more.
I really enjoyed the stories, but got a little frustrated as the mystery concerning her sister and Fernando (the frog boyfriend) does not conclude. Which means you need to continue on with the series in order to find out what happened to them. Other than that, they are fun reads.
Samm left Bigfoot Bay and her witchy heritage behind at the age of 13. Now an emergency call from her sister involving Samm’s fiancé has brought her back. Unfortunately neither Violet nor Fernando are to be found and Samm keeps finding herself embroiled in mysteries. Luckily she has old friends around to help her out. Samm is a fun character - a little frustrating at times but very likable, and surrounded by a great cast. I especially like Sage.

Samm is back home in Bigfoot Bay to solve multiple mysteries. The subplots of a missing sister and how to turn her fiance from frog back to a person are constant in the background. Each of these three books adds another mystery that keeps the pages turning and the sleuthing at top level. Loved the characters and was hooked from the very beginning. Great binge read now that there is a boxset. Well done.

This was a fun page turning paranormal series. I had read book one already and was excited to see that the three books were put into an omnibus so I could read them all straight through. The mysteries were twisty and the paranormal activity was fun and I loved the slow reveals of the town secrets with a slightly oblivious main character.

A witch who doesn't want to be a witch and tries to ignore it but gets dragged into that world again. This is a fun, cozy and sweet box set. I had already read the first book and loved it. I sure am going to read the rest of the series: I want to know what else will happen. The books are on my wish list, yay. This was actually painful to read. Nothing actually happens until page 102. Supposedly the protagonist is a witch who grew up in a paranormal town but she doesn't believe anyone else could be a witch and she doesn't pick up witchy clues. The mystery of the frog is never solved. Nor is the mystery of violet. Which is the only reason I kept reading the first book. I was duped.
I'm a huge fan of paranormal mysteries, witch mysteries included so it is natural that I absolutely love this box set! Such great characters, lots of suspense and intriguing storyline support my statement. Can't wait for more!.

First 3 books in the series and they were all great reads! Samm ends up back in the magical town of Bigfoot Bay after being away for many years. Her fiance has been turned into a frog and her sister Violet has disappeared. Really great reads and in onto the next books into the series. Where I gave the first book four stars, with the mention, it’s very promising, I’m giving books 2 and 3 five stars! Because the author delivered on that promise! Super fun, super exciting. This author sure can tell a story and I was completely immersed in the books. I’m so glad I found this series!
An entertaining trilogy of novels about magic, gnomes, witches and fairies. Eve lives in Chicago, but has to return to her hometown, Bigfoot Bay, when her sister is missing. I liked the characters who were skilfully crafted by the author. The stories were sheer escapism and fun to read.
These mysteries kept me guessing until the end of each book! The twists and turns of the stories & the characters are wonderful! It's been great getting to know Eve, Sage, Griffin, and Fernando - as well as all of the other people in Bigfoot Bay!.

This was a great set of books. I couldn't believe I got to read all three in a row. That was just fantastic. I really, truly enjoyed the story line in these books and I was enraptured very early in the first book. This was totally worth the read. No doubt that you'll love it!
