And on the eve of the NFL draft, a crafty sports agent enters the picture to entice Burnside to keep things quiet, until his client can sign a huge contract. The story leads Burnside into the world of startup companies, and the entitled people who run them. He finds a twisted trail of age-old grievances and shocking betrayals. And it wouldn’t be a Burnside mystery if he didn’t manage to also upstage the police, as his investigation is always a step ahead of theirs, creating yet another thorny path for him to navigate. These books are captivating and I couldn’t put them down. What an amazing author Mr. Chill is, so detailed and takes the time to explain many police procedures so that you understand what is truly happening and will take place. Thank you to the author for giving me really great stories to read. Looking forward to reading more of his books.
Mr.Chill writes in a way that makes you care about the characters. That is not easy. None of it seems contrived. The different stories are all believable and interesting.
