James and Katherine were perfection. This book brought a smile to my face and a lightness I wasn't expecting at times. And when it got deep, Lily Collier was there, reminding me why I love her, her Alpha mate, and Collier. And why I most definitely love this author's work. Kudos. I can't wait for the next one.

This is book two and it’s the second chance for James and Katherine. These two dated previously but their feelings were so strong and it scared Katherine. She pushed James away when he asked for her hand in marriage. Now years later, both of these two kept tabs on each other. There is a court case, involving a few Collier teenagers, that requires both their attention to save the boys. This is a good story with a happy ending. Read On!

This is a Fated Mate story with a twist. James and Katherine are the fated couple you didn't know you wanted but so happy you got.
It is a page turner with lots of heart, heat and comic relief. The characters come to life on the page and you fall into their world. I completely enjoyed it and looking forward to the next in the series.

The first human and shifter romance in this world
This book was a one sitting read for me. James and Katherine appeared in a previous book together and it was clear there was something there. Well, Julie Trettel delivered on that promise and I am thrilled.
James is the Sheriff of Collier County/Pack and Katherine is the CPS representative in the nearest town. A juvenile case involving a few Collier Pack kids bring them back together years after Katherine ended their pre-college romance due to James’ intense focus on forever and his quick marriage proposal.
James was willing as a younger man to leave pack life and live a human life with Katherine. Now, he knows he can’t turn his back on his pack and his responsibilities means he can never have Katherine with the secrets he must keep. He knows he is addicted to Katherine and manages he need for her with controlled exposure and detoxing when needed with no contact. Being in close proximity with Katherine for the case breaks his years long control.
Katherine regrets asking James for the space that caused him to give her all the space. There has never been a man that measures up to him and there probably never will. Working with him on the case makes two things clear to her; James is definitely the one for her and he is ghosting her.
The road to HEA for James and Katherine is sweet, funny and so worth the wait.

I feel like I have out grown these books... not that I am young, I just mean over time I have moved onto different styles of books, more spicy, dark action etc.
I found Julie a few yrs back when I started my audio journey and I binged everything and really enjoyed them. Then I ran out of her books and moved on to other stuff. I found I still wanted to listen to her new stuff out of loyalty. I find the books are all the same, there isnt much variety from book to book which is a little boring. I would love to see (hear) something different, a different direction maybe. I havent looked into it but maybe these are targeted at a younger audience?
If you like Julie's books and still want that style then you will loved them. What I did like were the narrators, I have always liked these 2 :)
In saying all this I know I will still listen to the others, as they seem short, but I will speed up the reading time.

This book was everything I didn't realise I needed in the collier world.
The serious, straight talking yet dependable James and dedicated yet seemingly frosty Katherine have their moment in Julie Trettel's latest six pack book. With the return of favourite characters this book truly has everything, from boozy wolves, naked trips to jail cells, the return of ladies night, the perfect level of steam and a chosen love like no other, this book is a must read!
Once you start you won't be able to put it down, so get your kindle and blanket ready for a satisfying read.

I loved James and Katherine. Julie's Westin world has been shifter mates up until now and it was fun to read her twist on a human true mate. ***Spoilers*** I loved that Katherine felt the bond, though the strength of her feelings overwhelmed her. What seemed like a simple miscommunication resulted in frustrating years apart. James didn't let her in and didn't seem to realize that even later on in the book. I loved how the Six Pack was so supportive once they found out about the bond. Thomas never questioned it and Lily pulled her right into the fold. I thought there would be more issues with Allen or Dixon, but that wasn't a bad thing. All in all, this was a very satisfying look through Collier Pack with some glimpses into how the human world views a pack territory that is protective of their secrets and suspicious of outsiders.

Wow loved James and Katherine’s story, different but lush. Once again Julie Trettel pulls you into their world and keeps you there, I absolutely love these books and love the world she creates. It kind of makes me want to be there. Loved the story, plot and writing, the characters are fabulous, the great thing about this series is how they all blend into each others lives, and the banter is great. Some angst in this story but overall it’s a lovely read and true mates. Some steamy moments, nothing crude, and some very cute moments. I can’t wait for the next read in this series, and anything Westin/Collier, I love this shifter world.

James and Katherine’s book was so amazing. I have to say they are in my list of favorite couples ! There were so many hilarious parts with Lilly and also with the 6 pack members. It was so great being back in Collier pack! Thomas and Lilly were absolutely great on this book! If you didn’t preorder this book, then you need to make sure and get it. This book did not disappoint Julie has written another amazing book and I’m so glad to have the chance to have gotten an arc copy!

Julie has outdone herself with this one. Never a disappointment and if you've read all her books in the Westin world these two have been a long time coming.
A One True Mate with a twist but still loveable and true to the theme. James has quickly become one of my favourites (though I love all the OTMs).
Guaranteed happy ending, smiles, laughs and appearances from old favourites such as Thomas and Lily.

“His Chosen Mate” is from the new ‘Six Pack Shifters’ spinoff and really is fantabulous!! What an amazing page-turner that I did not want to put down at all! I honestly don’t know how Ms. Trettel does it, but each 5 star must read gets even better with the next new release!! ... I was thrilled to find this in my Amazon KU membership, so I can honestly recommend this to all adult 18+ fans of fiction, and I can't wait for more, but of course I always will!

Pack sheriff James Blakely’s wolf decided CPS worker Katherine Carter was his true mate. But James had no idea how that could possibly work since Katherine’s human but decided he’d live human to have her. Katherine thought their relationship was too fast and was suspicious of James’ secrets. Katherine rejected his proposal though no man before or since thrilled her like as much as the thought of James.

Wow, this was SO bad I couldn’t even finish it. By the 55% mark I was s u f f e r i n g. I just couldn’t! DNF! And I usually have a hard time DNF-ing books because I get fomo 😂 But this one.. I just don’t care.

A pleasant surprise
I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this particular book in the series because of the details of who Katherine is but it turned out to be such a sweet story with filled of so much love that I've really enjoyed it in the end!
Unsurprisingly this Six Pack series is keeping the promises of the previous series in the Westin- Collier world!
On to Austin's book !

This was really cute. Neither of them could move on and just kept circling each other for years. James was conflicted between her and his pack so it was nice to see it turn out well. It's your normal lowish angst Julie Trettel book, though I honestly expected a lot more conflict from the co-worker, but there was none. My biggest irritation is that the police officer storyline was never really resolved, we just hear he had a warrant out after what he did to the kids and that was it.

I could not wait for James and Katherine’s story! They had been introduced in a previous book and I could not figure out how in the world Julie would bring them together. I laughed, I teared up (something very uncommon for me), the book had all the feels. It was great to see Lily and Thomas again, so much so that I decided to reread their story afterwards. Perfection once again, Julie Trettel!

Totally loved his chosen mate, I couldn't put it down and plan to reread it again at the weekend. Without spoiling it for others I love the part where Katherine went to have dinner with her mum and dad, I laughed out loud at her dad. I have wanted this story since I first read broken chains so glad to learn the history between James and Katherine. A beautiful love story between human and shifter

This, in my opinion, is Julie Trettel’s best work, and that’s saying a lot because she is such a gifted storyteller. Getting to visit Collier and see another of the infamous six pack finally woo and win his one true mate was wonderful. As always Lily and Thomas provided some great moments too. I absolutely couldn’t put this book down and was so sad when it was finished

This is an amazing story, James and Katherine were perfect together. It was interesting to see a slightly different version to mating. It’s so good to be back in collier pack. This is funny, cute, heartfelt, challenging, dynamic and a little emotional. I’m definitely going to be reading it again, I loved it!!

If you haven't read Julie's books, they are a great read. You will find out so much more about the family and packs. Yes packs that all work together and come together when needed.

Might favorite world
I've never been good at reviews so this is just how i feel about this book. These books by Julie have become my favorite getaway and this story was amazing! I can't tell you how many times I cried over the issues these two characters went through. I would recommend these books, all of Julies books to anyone that loves the shifter world!

Outstanding!
I fell in love with James immediately! Katherine was perfect for him, and seeing their store unfold was enjoyable. After seeing previous interactions between this couple, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this being the first human/shifter mating was an excellent twist to the series. Julie Trettel did a fantastic job, as always!

Julie has outdone herself again! Such a great read. James and Katherine were so cute! I loved reading about the way they handled navigating life while being from two different worlds. Can’t wait to read about the rest of the Six Pack members!

First thing first Julie this book is one of the best one get. I have been curious of James for the first time I read about him. The book gave me all the emotions. It was amazing how a relationship between the shifter and a human worked to make the perfect true mate.

I went into this book not thinking that I would actually like it, But it turns out that I really really enjoyed the story behind Katherine and James. I only gave it four stars because I still don’t like the whole premise of chosen mates even though he had all of the meeting signs for a true mate.

Unexpected!
I am a very big fan of anything Julie writes but I was not expecting to love this book as much as I did. While it was subtle in its differences to the stories we’ve read, it is different. I am so excited and upset to have read and finished this book so fast!

I liked James and katherines story it was intriguing, evenful, dramatic, revealing, passionate and emotions. I loved who the two bounce of each other, but I did get a little stuck in the middle. As there insecurity kept being repeated. But still an enjoyable read
