The fifth exciting Western adventure in a series from Casey Nash!
Not all the killers who plagued the frontier were so obvious. A few like John, Elvira, Kate, and Finley didn’t wear six-shooters low on their hips or go around shooting anyone who looked at them crossways. But killers they were, nonetheless. Eutychus Bly will soon find out just how cunning and cold-blooded this family is.
When two men are found dead at Drum Creek, Governor Hoppe sends Eutychus Bly to investigate their deaths and reports of over a dozen missing travelers along the Osage Trail. Will Range Detective Eutychus Bly find the evidence he needs to convict the killers? And will he then be able bring them to justice?
Join Lawman Bly aboard the train to Cherryvale. When he arrives, he will waste no time doing what he was sent to do. But be warned, it’s going to be a bloody venture before it’s all said and done.
Eutychus Bly is a range detective, trained by US Marshall Jubal Stone. There are mysterious happenings over in Drum Creek where travelers on the road are disappearing. One of them is a Senator's brother. The townspeople are understandably uneasy and the senator wants answers. The governor sends Eutychus to help the local law solve the crimes. What they found is much worse than they expected.
This was an excellent western story. Casey's tales just keep on getting better. I've enjoyed every one and would definitely recommend this one too! It was full of action for both Eutychus and his son Del. If you choose to start this one you'll find it hard to put down just as I did. Happy Trails.......
Gently moved to an exciting conclusion. Mystery ladened western and like most of the genre it makes some historical fact within its adventure. Some romance and murders. Clean. Scant positive Christian references.
ThiS story brought to light that serial killers did their dasteredly even in the 1800. A must read of the range detective cleaning them up and sending the the fires of hell.
Very good reading, I always like reading western but Casey Nash does a great job in writing them to keep you interested to not want to stop reading. On to the next one.
