What happens when best friends promise to share their dating stories--the good, the bad, and the never swipe again--as part of a book on love? A lot of humor, heart, and HEAs.
When Sam (known online as Dr. Love) begs her roommates to help provide stories for her upcoming book, they were all too happy to agree. Mostly because they didn't think they would HAVE stories. No big deal. But throughout this series, one by one, Sam's friends find love with a friend's brother, a boss, a fake fiancé, a friend, and an enemy.
Fall in love with the friendships as much as the leading men in these laugh-out-loud, closed door romantic comedies.
This collection includes five full length novels and one holiday Falling for Your Best Friend's Twin, Falling for Your Boss, Falling for Your Fake Fiancé, Falling for Your Best Friend, Falling for Your Enemy, and The Twelve Holidates.
Emma St. Clair is a USA Today Bestselling Author who loves sassy heroines, witty banter, and love stories with heart and humor. She has an MFA in Fiction and lives in Katy, Texas (go, Tigers!) with her hubby, five children, and Great Dane. Her favorite place to write is tapping on her phone while on the elliptical machine. No Emmas have been hurt in the writing of these novels. (Yet.)
I’ve read all the books in this amazing collection and they are fantastic! You’ll laugh, swoon, and perhaps even cry. Emma St. Clair does a fabulous job creating amazing heartfelt characters who are easy to relate to and find themselves in the most hilarious situations. They are also adorably flawed.
There’s all the favorite tropes like best friend’s little sister, the boss, the best friend, and even enemies to lovers. Each romance is clean with nothing more than tantalizing kisses. She also includes some pretty cute animals like baby goats, turtles, and dogs that add to the humor. This is definitely one collection you’ll want to pick up!
Book 2 Falling for your Boss Falling for your Boss was an entertaining and fun novel. I actually listened to the audio version as I "read" along with the ebook. I loved Lorana Hoopes's narration as she brought Zoey to life. Kevin Eiger did a nice job as Gavin but I was somewhat disappointed with his voice inflection for other characters. Nevertheless, this novel was everything I have come to expect with the Love Clichés series. It was, in fact, a laugh out loud rom-com that delivered strong characters, a great storyline and a sweet HEA ending. 5 stars
Book 3 Falling for your Fake Fiance This was such a fun read, a series about five female besties navigating life and love. This book focuses on Delilah, an employee at a pet-sitting business. While walking a great dane, she comes face to face with Thayden, a wealthy young lawyer she met at one of her BFF's weddings. After losing her job, Thayden hires her to walk and care for his dog, none other than the great dane on the end of her leash. Thayden recently lost his father and will lose his family's law firm if he fails to marry in 3 months. When his mother gets involved, Thayden loses all control over his future. Since this is a rom-com, we all know there will be an HEA ending for Delilah and Thayden. However, this novel has a twist at the rehearsal dinner that is positively hilarious! You, the reader, have the best seat in the house!!! Emma St. Clair has written a funny yet heartwarming story that will leave you smiling. The next book will follow Harper, and I can't wait to get my hands on it!
Book 5 Falling for your Best Friend Falling For Your Best Friend is the story of Harper and Chase, friends who want more than friendship but are afraid to move out of the friend zone. Emma St. Clair pens a book which addresses a long-standing friendship that is complicated by an undiagnosed neurological condition. She treats her character (Harper) with respect and dignity, yet with compassion and empathy. In doing so, she shines a light on a romance with specific challenges. As a reader, I found myself cheering for this couple as they move forward into a romantic relationship. I fell in love with Harper who has spent her life feeling out of step. Chase is my hero. In his eyes, the things that make Harper different, are just part of who she is. In short, I loved this novel. It is truly a feel-good love story that gave me the warm fuzziness! 5 stars.
Book 6 Falling for your Enemy This is one of the best romantic books I have read in a long time! It made me laugh, and yet, there was an innocence throughout the book that pulled on my heartstrings. While it features Rhys and Sam, the other characters from this series play prominent roles, too. The Epic-logue was bittersweet and took the reader forty years into the future. There is a quote at the end of Ever After (the movie starring Drew Barrymore and Anjelica Houston) that speaks to the fairytale ending of happily ever after; instead, it closes with, "the point is, they lived." These friends weathered some rough storms in their lives but their friendship bonds remained strong. Emma St. Clair penned a fabulous book that wrings emotions from the reader. Falling for Your Enemy made me laugh, smile, cry and sigh. I highly recommend reading this 5-star series. It is definitely worth investing the time it takes to read as you immerse yourself into the lives of these wonderful friends!
I had ARC copies of the books in this collection, but this is my honest and voluntary opinion. Falling for Your Best Friend's Twin I enjoyed reading this book. Emma St Clair did a great job with the characters, their back stories, and current struggles and the way they worked through them. The plot was interesting and held my interest. Falling for Your Boss Emma has another great romantic comedy in this series. The twists and turns she included in the plot really add to the interest. Gavin doesn’t think he wants to get married, and Zoie doesn’t think she wants to be a parent. Funny how things can change with the unexpected entry of a child. A really good book! Falling for Your Fake Fiancé Emma St Clair has another winner with this latest book in this series. I think each book gets better. Two people from totally different backgrounds are thrown together here and find they have many things in common. Neither thinks they want to get married yet they agree to do so and once they do they realize they really want it, but have a lot of issues to work through. Great read. Falling for Your Best Friend Another great book in this series by Emma St Clair. In this one she explores a woman with sensory challenges and does a great job. It makes you think about issues in a different way, and she incorporates the challenges she faces and how she overcomes along with her best friend who will do almost anything to help her. The plot with its twists and turns is interesting, and I would recommend reading this book. Falling for Your Enemy Emma St Clair has written a fantastic ending book for this series. It has just the right amount of humor, and life problems, plus I like the epilog of the four friends 40 years later. This book features Rhys and Sam who begin strongly disliking each other, but must take a road trip together to promote their books. There are lots of interesting things happening in this book. The Twelve Holidates. This book was a hoot. A great RomCom by Emma St. Clair. Taylor starts by trying to surprise her boyfriend by dressing up in a life size Christmas stocking and waiting in his apartment, but the surprise is on Taylor when he comes in with another woman. She cries on her best friend Weston’s shoulder and he picks up the remaining dates to cheer her up, but also to get her to notice him. I highly recommend reading it!
Emma St. Clair writes the best romantic comedies. I find them hard to put down. These heart warming stories are funny. I love these characters focused on family and friends.
Falling For Your Best Friend's Twin is enchanting. I was invested in the story and really wanted to know who was sabotaging the app. I love both Zane and Abby.
Falling for Your Boss is a very enjoyable romance. Zoey is more than a decade younger than Gavin, but they seem perfect for each other.
In Falling for Your Fake Fiancé I loved Thayden and all he went through to convince Delilah that he actually loves her. The dinner scene with Delilah's mother is a hoot!
The Twelve Holidates is a sweet, funny, Christmas novella, perfect for a quick relaxing break. The Christmas Eve dinner is hilarious and perfect. Grandma is a hoot!
In Falling for Your Best Friend Chase's stable to farm dinner date had me in stitches. Kudos to Ms. St. Clair for having a heroine on the spectrum and portraying her so well. I love how Chase adapted his life style to Harper's. I love how Harper was determined to get a handle on her emotions.
Falling For Your Enemy is a wonderful blend of comedy, an outstanding road trip, a grumpy hero and has the genre's best epilogues. Sam and Rhys are sent on a book signing tour before the books are written. They are both such flawed and nuanced characters.
This box set is amazing!! I'm definitely one to love reading books that are part of a series in order, and having them all in one place was so nice. Done with the first book? Turn the page and there's the second book.
This series is all about a group of girlfriends that met in college and become roommates. One friend writes for a relationship advice column that leads to a book deal, so she solicits the help of her friends to find love stories to share. Little did they know this would set off a chain reaction of each of them falling in love and finding their own happily ever afters.
Emma St. Clair has such amazing characters that you easily fall in love with, but are still relatable and human. Seriously can't say enough about this series!
This group of stories is spectacular. The people inside are so fun to spend time with, and though the subject is Love Clichés, the writing and stories told are anything but. I loved spending time with these characters, loved how they all support each other - and I’m excited to listen to the whole series again on audiobook. Time well spent.
This has been an d notable week for Mr reading this series! It has qq some real life experiences, but some hard to believe but truly funny or enjoyable story lines.DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!
Cute series that was a quick, light read…clean, no smut, fun getting to know the group of friends and see how they change and grow. The epilogue at the end of the final book was a fun peek at the group 40 years later.
