Rate this book
Who Can You Go To When Your Marriage Is In Trouble? --- THE GLASSGLOW!

When twenty-something-year-old university graduate Joe's adopted father passes away, he leaves Joe an unexpected inheritance - a curious insurance agency called 'The Glassglow' which only has one client, a mysterious wealthy young woman called Emily.

When Joe finds out that the agency insures that a person’s marriage won’t fall apart, he is beyond baffled. How can anyone, let alone perpetually-single Joe, promises such a thing?

Now Joe must work hard to make enough profit to pay his bills with, or make the business attractive enough to sell it off. But attempting to repair broken marriages, especially with the cast of strange and oddball characters that keep coming to his tiny office in the crumbling building demanding his attention, is no small task and it threatens to fracture his sanity. Could Joe really pull this off?

THE MAGNIFICENT GLASSGLOW INSURANCE AGENCY is a captivating tale set in 1972 British Colonial Hong Kong with a set of great characters, a jet-fueled plot and a wickedly interesting premise.

A strange tale. A namby-pamby 20 year old inherits a peculiar insurance agency. While everyone is pushing him around and screaming that he owes them money for his deceased father (he's adopted). He grew up in a convent orphanage and does have good sense and morals.
When people start getting murdered, he gets accused but also gets a backbone. Along the way he meets new people who prove to be great friends. Set in 1972 Hong Kong, I am sure some things would be more familiar if the reader has knowledge of the cultural dynamics.

The story is well written and deals with Joe Go finding his real heritage.
