The Cavern
Cherie Sterling is an animal control officer in Butte, Montana. She has a unique gift of understanding animals, wild and domestic. She never dreamed that one day, while investigating a case of animal cruelty, she would lose her heart to Smokey, a sickly bear in a filthy cage. She would soon learn that Smokey, the bear, was Ryder Greene, a shifter, and she loved him.
Now pregnant with twins, Cherie was beginning to regret falling in love with Ryder Greene. She was always alone. Ryder spent all his time managing the Ryder Rescue Center, located in the cavern where he was once a prisoner.
Jha Ramandem finds Cherie not breathing in a house filled with gas. After CPR and mouth to mouth, Jha saves her but he is worried about the babies. The attempt on Cherie’s life sends her into hiding.
Ryder can’t find Cherie, and no one will tell him where she is or why. Neither Cherie nor Ryder knew that Cherie was in danger. A special patient, part werewolf, part vampire, staying at the Rescue Center, would save them both.

30 books1,183 followersI was born in Toronto, Canada. I moved to southern California in the mid-sixties. I worked for a record company, a cosmetic manufacturer, and as a school bus driver. I rescued abused horses and raised Quarter horses. I retired in 2010 and moved to New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, with my husband and menagerie of dogs, cats and birds.
In October 2015, I sat down with an idea while watching TV and started to write on my tablet and couldn’t stop.
In March, 2016, I released Bearly Too Old. By then I had written two books and was working on a third when I got brave enough to self-publish my first book. I hope you enjoy my books. They do contain adult content and are intended for 18 years of age and older.

This is the second book in the Cavern series. In this book, Cherie comes to grips what's like to be the mate of a shifter, all the excitement, and the downfalls. Her world is opened up to a whole new meaning of love, trust, and friendship.
Ryder Greene..a man, a black bear shifter. His life had been put through pure hellbut he finally had it all. The live of his life , A friend Luke Adams had helped Ryder set up a sanctuary for shifters in need of care, healing, or just a safe place to go.

A loving animal control officer and the manager of the Ryder Rescue Center sound like a perfect match, or is it? Trouble has come their way in more ways than one. I loved the chemistry between the characters. This story was full of suspense, attitudes, caring, and love. It's a great read.

The Cavern (Special Protection Inc. book 5) by Margery Ellen is a good book. I really like the characters in the book. Ryder Green and Cherie Sterling are a great couple. I give this book 4 stars.

I love romance and happy endings
I adore this story, it's got a lot of different components but most of the conflicts that the characters have are resolved by the end of the story, or they have plans to resolve what they are facing. Ryder was a little weird during a part of the story but it was resolved, mostly. Cherie is awesome in my point of view, emotional though considering she's pregnant that's not unusual for any woman to be emotional due to out of whack hormones. I adore Jha/Jeet, his character is fabulous. I am excited to see what happens next in this series
