The carnivore diet is the ultimate elimination diet that has helped millions of people all over the world regain their health, wellness, vitality, and confidence.
Comprised only of bioavailable, nutritious animal foods, and in opposition to the NWO vegan propaganda, the carnivore diet is here to nourish every cell and organ of your body.
Meat has been a staple 'superfood' in the human diet for millions of years. Anthropological evidence indicates that our early ancestors were apex predators and even more carnivorous than hyenas and big cats. That was only about 30,000 years ago.
Since then, our diets have drastically changed due to the invention of agriculture about 7,000 years ago and within the last 100 years or so, the introduction of millions of synthetic food additives, the development of a year-round produce supply, and the hybridization of fruits and vegetables, making them higher in sugar and lower in nutrients.
This book explores what foods nature intended for humans to eat, and gives compelling evidence as to why and how humans are anatomically and physiologically designed to be primarily meat-eaters.

I have just finished "Carnivore Diet For Beginners + Cookbook: Reduce Inflammation, Maximize Weight Loss and Performance With a Zero-Carb, All-Meat, Primal, Ketogenic Lifestyle ... 40+ High-Fat Recipes + 7-Day Meal Plan)" by George Kelly, reading it on my tablet thanks to the Kindle Unlimited subscription of my girlfriend.
This is the second book by George that I've read, and again, I'm amazed by the professionalism and scientific explanations that are found in the book. This book presents the wellness benefits of the "all-carnivore" diet, which is similar but a little more extreme than the keto diet. Apart from the thorough explanation of the diet, George provides +20 pages of example recipes to be followed and ends with a great FAQ section about this diet.
I only missed a couple of things to make this book even better, such as some images of the recipes (people love to take a look at what the result of a recipe looks like in cooking books), but that can easily be added by the author if he releases an update of the book. Another thing that I missed is that saying that this diet finally produces better energy levels than a diet based on carbs demonstrates that the energy released by the keto diet is greater than the energy released by a glucose-carb diet.
Overall, a pretty good book, serious, and well presented.
Disclaimer - I am a vegetarian that follows veganism at times.
I liked the applicable insights and the pros alongside what and what not when following a carnivore diet. What threw me off was it talks of spices that are plant based.
Book takes a politically correct stand for all other diets. It gives enough details and comparisons so the reader can make calculated choice.
I highly recommend if you are also interested in learning and taking up a carnivore diet approach.
Carnivore Diet for Beginners was an interesting read. I've read about many diets lately and I always find the different methods fascinating. I had recently red a book promoting raw plant based and this one is a complete contradiction.
What I liked best about this book was the thorough explanation of not only how this diet works and why, but the author directly compares it to other diets and points out the pros and cons of each. I especially liked the comparison to the Keto diet and how the two can actually complement each other very well.
There is a chapter that describes all of the common and essential vitamins in great detail. Why you need them, where to find them and how much of each one you should get (broken down into women, men, pregnant, etc). Though there was more information in this chapter than I felt I needed, I think many will find it a great resource.
The last section of the book has about 40 recipes. There are actually 2 pages dedicated to how to boil an egg, which I found funny, but between you and me may be the only one in my skill set. Overall, recommend if you are interested in trying this diet!
I was intrigued when I came across this diet-cookbook which, in these days of vegan-this and plant-based that, goes totally against the grain in advocating the eating of animal-only products. As both my husband and myself have digestive issues I'm always on the lookout for some type of diet plan which might help, and as my man enjoys meat I thought this might be a contender.
Author George Kelly has the correct credentials for writing such a book, as an RDN—registered dietitian nutritionist. It’s a well-organised text, beginning with information on the Carnivore Diet, followed by a description of the differences between the Carnivore and Keto Diets, a comparison with a Vegan diet and an explanation of the benefits of the Carnivore Diet for those suffering with autoimmunity issues. The middle section comprises Carnivore Diet recipes, before a section of FAQs and a Conclusion to wind things up, with an excellent section of References, should you wish to delve any deeper into the already-excellent research which George Kelly has carried out.
Despite all these positives, however, I don’t think this household will be undertaking the Carnivore Diet any time soon, despite the excellent suggestions for how to ease yourself into it gently. I’m afraid that I’m too conditioned into the idea of a balanced diet to give up my carbs, my chocolate, my wine—yes, wine being made from grapes is plant-based, so out it goes. Don’t let me put you off, though. There are some excellent recipes here, and I think the Cheese Crisps and Pepperoni Chips may grace my table sometime soon, along with a Carnivore Charcuterie Board—which we already enjoy from time to time.
It's an interesting read and fascinating idea. You could do far worse if you’re looking to swim against the fashionable tide of vegan-eating to lose weight and improve your health.
Thanks a lot, George Kelly. Just when I thought that eating meat was a giant no-no, your book comes along and gives me pause. What’s a hopeful vegetarian to do in an age of contradictory health studies and health-related Netflix documentaries that seem so sure of themselves?
Carnivore Diet for Beginners + Cookbook greatly exceeded my expectations, which weren’t much after seeing the highly specific book title and raw-looking, animal-laden food items on the cover. Yet as I became sucked into the fast-moving chapters, it was hard not to be swayed by many of Kelly’s points. In fact, I began wondering what it might be like to try this sort of diet for a limited time, perhaps a month or so.
That’s because I do think there is some truth to some of Kelly’s claims about the health benefits of this type of diet. It’s hard to dispute that exclusively eating meat lowers a person’s blood sugar, and I’m inclined to believe that it would also lower one’s inflammation and blood-sugar levels. Kelly also says, rather convincingly, that eating a meat-only diet helps to reverse autoimmune symptoms and cleans up the gut. Beyond the supposed benefits of the carnivore diet, his book has more solid, practical advice than I thought it would.
Kelly is a registered dietician nutritionist who writes in a clear and straightforward way. Just when I was beginning to wonder whether he was going to write about some of the questionable aspects of eating meat, such as studies showing the correlation between the high consumption of red meat and higher cancer rates, he did indeed go into that territory. As the book went on, I noticed he was undeniably fair and even considerate in how he presented his information.
Kelly also talked a lot about the pros and cons of a vegan diet, which I didn’t expect. It was interesting and informative to read about the nutrients people miss out on when practicing veganism, but Kelly is also honest about the nutrients lacking in meat, writing, “There are certain vitamins, like vitamin C, and minerals, such as potassium and magnesium, that are abundant in fruit and vegetables but in short supply in meat.”
There are commonalities between a carnivore diet and veganism according to Kelly, but no matter how you eat, it boils down to the following things when trying to attain good health: getting quality protein, staying away from foods rife with inflammatory properties, eating foods high in nutrient density, avoiding processed foods, avoiding sugary foods, eating healthy types of fats, and staying away from too many unhealthy carbs.
I would add that moderation is key regarding anything you eat, drink, and do in life, and that perhaps no strict diet is the ultimate answer.
The carnivore diet is a no-nonsense endeavor that I imagine would be difficult for many folks to abide by. The all-meat dishes would eventually become dull, I would think. But Kelly has qualitative evidence (not included in this book) from enthusiastic individuals who have succeeded greatly with this way of eating, no different from a Netflix special I watched in which athletes gushed that veganism was the key to their health and vitality.
Like I said, what’s a health-conscious vegetarian to do?
The book gets a few points off for a hardcore cookbook section that felt out of place (carnivore black pudding contains lamb liver and dried pigs blood in it – yum) and some punctuation errors here and there. But otherwise, Carnivore Diet was nearly a five-star read for me. Who’d have thought?
I really learned a lot from this book. As a fan of low carb and ketogenic diets due to gut biome issues, the carnivore diet was something I had already heard of before reading this book, but I hadn't read about it in depth prior to this. There was much I didn't know, like foods such as pemmican and that eating offal repairs the corresponding tissue in our own bodies because of the bioactive nutrients. I thought it presented a really balanced view of the diet in comparison to keto, veganism, etc. and also covered the downsides, such as how it might be hard to get enough vitamins like Vit C. Including pros and cons gave it a non-biased informative view, which I think is essential to let readers become knowledgeable without bashing other diets, which I've seen on some carnivore websites or social media platforms. Some of the recipes sounded great, and since I'm already on a keto diet, trying these out will be no problem. The only one I was confused about why the cornbread was named as such, when cornflour was not part of the recipe.
Although written in an accessible way for a general readership, there was some scientific or specific health-related vocabulary from time to time that I thought might confuse some readers; SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) is discussed in relation to eating honey, for example, and this is a term I wouldn't have known about if I didn't happen to be a sufferer myself.
Downsides of the book? While it's obvious that grass-fed organic meat is best, the recommendations including links for beef and bison were for farms in the US; for readers such as myself in GB, I guess more research is necessary. Crowd Cow, Honest Bison and Butcher Box all sound fantastic; just wish we had them here in the UK.
Back to the positives, my favourite point made that sums up arguments in favour of the carnivore diet is this: 'If the experts' claims about meat being the "bad guy" were actually true, then why are we suffering unprecedented levels of chronic/autoimmune disease, despite minimizing its consumption?' Since meat is so demonised in modern cultures across the world, it's refreshing to read a book showing the many benefits of meat, including how nutrient-dense it is and the bioavailability of its vitamins, but also in a way that promotes eating clean, whole foods and giving options to those still wanting to include other foods, like caffeine for example. Although I personally will continue on keto, which works best for my lifestyle, thanks to this book I may try 'cycling' between keto and carnivore diets and see how that works for me.
First, the positives. It’s cheering to come across a book that bucks the currently fashionable anti-meat / anti-animal products dietary trend. There’s a lot of detailed information about the nutritional contributions meat, fish, dairy and eggs make to our diet, a useful primer of most vitamins and minerals found in foods, and references to the beneficial and adverse health consequences which may flow from dietary choices. There are also interesting and informed comparisons of Carnivore / Paleo / Keto regimes and a welcome assessment of the limits of vegan diets.
While I initially felt cheated by the frequent use of ‘research shows’ or similar with no footnote or other apparent source citations, I then found a comprehensive list of references at the end, chapter by chapter, with numbers which should presumably have been presented as footnotes in the text but weren’t in my Kindle Unlimited edition. So the references are there, but perhaps the KU version needs to have live links added.
Finally on the plus side there are some interesting recipes for those who want to try a 100% meat diet, and also some unusual but delicious sounding desserts based on eggs, cream, butter, honey and vanilla — although a purist might question their description as ‘Carnivore’ dishes.
But I have a couple of significant caveats.
First, there’s a lot of repetition of the above mentioned information about vitamins, minerals, of which foods are sources of which nutrients, of perceived strengths and weaknesses in the various regimes discussed, and of the health consequences of both diets and specific foods.
Second, I feel that the book would benefit immeasurably from an edit focusing on finding the first use of scientific terms or acronyms and ensuring that they are explained or defined at that point, or alternatively in a comprehensive glossary. There are many examples of such terms and acronyms that are not defined when first mentioned and are then sometimes explained on subsequent use, though regrettably sometimes not at all: DHA, SIBO, electrolytes, glycogen, betaine HCL, omega-6 fatty acids, ketones, EPA, erythrocytes, myoglobin, hemoglobin, amino acids, FODMAPs, glyconeogenesis, nephrotoxic. Some of these terms are more esoteric than others but even so it’s surely desirable that a book clearly directed at a generalist audience wanting to know more about an important subject should be scrupulous about explaining technical terms on first use.
So in summary a timely book with a lot of interesting information but which could benefit from a judicious edit.
Meat has long been considered a vital "superfood" in human diets, dating back millions of years when our early ancestors were formidable apex predators, surpassing even hyenas and big cats in carnivorous habits for thousands of years. However, our eating habits underwent significant transformations with the advent of agriculture, more recently, the introduction of synthetic food additives, a year-round supply of produce, and the hybridization of fruits and vegetables, altering their nutritional composition.
This book delves into the exploration of foods that align with the natural dietary preferences of humans, providing compelling evidence for our anatomical and physiological inclination towards a primarily meat-based diet. In this accessible Carnivore Diet Guide + Cookbook for beginners, you'll uncover the multitude of benefits associated with the carnivore diet, its potential for weight loss, muscle building, and simultaneous body recomposition. Additionally, the guide outlines how the carnivore diet may contribute to the management or reversal of various chronic and autoimmune conditions, including Hashimoto's thyroiditis, Grave's disease, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), ulcerative colitis (UC), Crohn's disease, eczema, psoriasis, and more.
Kelly, a registered dietician nutritionist, communicates information in a clear and direct manner. Throughout the book, I observed his unbiased and considerate approach in presenting information.
Surprisingly, Kelly delved into discussing the advantages and disadvantages of a vegan diet. Exploring the nutrients people may miss in veganism was insightful, but Kelly is candid about the nutrients lacking in meat, stating, "There are certain vitamins, like vitamin C, and minerals, such as potassium and magnesium, that are abundant in fruit and vegetables but in short supply in meat."
Kelly notes similarities between a carnivore diet and veganism. Regardless of dietary choices, he emphasizes key factors for good health: obtaining quality protein, avoiding inflammatory foods, consuming nutrient-dense foods, steering clear of processed and sugary foods, incorporating healthy fats, and limiting unhealthy carbs.
Highlighting moderation in eating, drinking, and lifestyle choices, Kelly suggests that there may not be a one-size-fits-all solution in strict diets.
The carnivore diet, portrayed as straightforward, might be challenging due to the monotony of all-meat dishes.
I wish the book had pictures. This kind of book would have benefited from visuals.
If you've ever been curious about the carnivore diet or are looking for new ways to incorporate meat into your meals, 'Carnivore Diet For Beginners + Cookbook' is a must-have addition to your culinary library. This comprehensive guide not only introduces you to the principles of the carnivore diet but also provides a treasure trove of delicious recipes that will satisfy your carnivorous cravings while ensuring optimal nutrition.
One of the standout features of this book is its clear and informative breakdown of what the carnivore diet entails. Whether you're a beginner or someone looking to fine-tune their approach to meat-based eating, this book covers everything from the health benefits of a carnivore diet to potential challenges you may encounter along the way. The comparison with other diets like Keto and veganism offers valuable insights into the nuances of dietary choices and their impact on overall well-being.

The inclusion of a 7-day meal plan and detailed grocery lists is a game-changer for those embarking on the carnivore diet. It takes the guesswork out of meal preparation and ensures that you have everything you need to stay on track. The recipes themselves are nothing short of mouthwatering, offering a variety of options from snacks and appetizers to main dishes and desserts. The carnivore pizza and carnivore birthday cake are particularly noteworthy, showcasing the creative and delicious possibilities of a meat-based diet.
Even if you're not planning to fully commit to the carnivore diet, this cookbook is a treasure trove of culinary inspiration. The recipes are innovative, flavorful, and easy to follow, making them suitable for anyone looking to explore new flavors and cooking techniques.
Having dived into this comprehensive guide on the carnivore diet, I found it to be a remarkable resource that compellingly challenges mainstream dieting principles. As someone who appreciates a fresh perspective on nutrition, this book provided an eye-opening exploration into the potential benefits of this zero-carb, all-meat lifestyle, including inflammation reduction and weight loss maximization.
The author, a registered dietitian nutritionist, is convincing in his arguments and skilfully addresses complex dietary concepts. However, readers should be prepared for some health-related terminology that might be challenging if one is not well-versed in dietary discourse. Regardless, it's clear that the author's aim is to inform and educate readers to make well-founded dietary choices, presenting an unbiased view of carnivore dieting.
Aside from the persuasive narrative, the book is replete with over 40 high-fat, carnivore-friendly recipes, which are simple to follow and minimalistic in their ingredient lists. The inclusion of a 7-day meal plan is an added boon, providing a robust starting point for those intrigued by this lifestyle change. One note of caution, however, some recommended resources, particularly those related to meat suppliers, may not be accessible globally.
While I enjoyed reading the book and appreciated its depth and breadth of information, I also value a balanced diet, and hence, would not be transitioning to a carnivore lifestyle. However, I found the exploration of this contrarian dietary path fascinating and the cookbook section particularly intriguing, even though it may not align with my personal dietary preferences.
In conclusion, this book delivers a novel take on the carnivore diet, backed by research, and packed with practical tools for those bold enough to venture into this unconventional dietary journey. It's an informative and thought-provoking addition to the ever-evolving discourse on nutrition and health. Although the carnivore diet won't be my path, I definitely appreciated the journey through this book.
I read this book after reading the author's bodybuilding guide. It was an interesting read. I am a pretty open-minded vegetarian. I prefer to eat a lot of eggs, cheese, and vegetables. Obviously, my approach is at odds with that discussed in this book. That said, it was fair to a great extent and offers a sound approach that may work for many people.
The primary takeaway is that people would be wise to eliminate highly processed foods from their diets. Personally, the idea that it's an NWO conspiracy to ban meat is possible in the context of promoting terrible processed foods. However, to that end, I'd say those types also seek to eliminate organic healthy vegetables, replacing them with synthetic vitamins and minerals created by large companies.
Many people eating a Western processed food diet are probably far better off opting for carnivores because meat is undoubtedly very nutritious. This book details this in detail and offers many good recipes that may be suitable for people interested in it. The science behind promoting meat as a highly nutritious food seems true and researched in detail.
However, some of the anti-vegetable "science" in this book is questionable. The idea that "antinutrients" (and such) cause autoimmune issues is most likely untrue, particularly when most are associated with killing cancer cells. There's some "Paul Saladino" guff, but honestly this author seems far more educated than him. Still, it is a fact that totally eliminating carbohydrates for protein kills testosterone levels.
The keto/carnivore diet probably suits inactive people looking to get in better shape without losing muscle. That includes many Americans, so I think this book may be very useful for many people. Further, those who do not have sufficient gut microbiota to digest fiber may prefer this rigorous diet. Of course, I must also wonder how anyone can afford to eat an all-meat diet in this economy, but perhaps that is beyond the scope of this book.
"The Carnivore Diet for Beginners + Cookbook" is a practical guide to starting and maintaining this way of eating. It’s not just as simple as just eat meat. The author, a registered dietitian nutritionist, presents a well-researched and balanced view of the diet, discussing both its potential benefits and drawbacks.
The book begins by explaining the principles behind the carnivore diet and how it differs from other popular diets like keto and veganism. I appreciated the author's unbiased approach in comparing these diets, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of each without pushing a specific agenda. The section on the potential health benefits of the carnivore diet, such as reducing inflammation and improving gut health, was particularly interesting to me.
When I’ve tried diets like this things can get a bit same so I appreciated the inclusion of all the high-fat, carnivore-friendly recipes. As someone who enjoys cooking, I found the recipes to be straightforward and easy to follow, with minimal ingredients required. The meal plan is a helpful starting point for those new to the diet, providing structure and variety. Sometimes you just need someone to tell you what to do to avoid overwhelm.
I’m in the UK so some of the resources are off limits to me. There’s seems to be a lot more choice in the USA but I suppose I have to be thankful I’ll ben eating meat with a lot few growth hormones in them.
The book is well-written and informative guide for anyone interested in eating lots of meat. While it may not be for everyone, the book offers a balanced and evidence-based perspective on the potential benefits and challenges of the carnivore diet, along with practical tools and delicious recipes to help readers get started.a
‘Carnivore Diet For Beginners’ by George Kelly is an extremely well-written and balanced discussion of the benefits, side effects, and methods required to adequately implement and supplement a carnivore diet. It carefully describes the foods to eat versus those to avoid and how to ease oneself onto a meat-only diet. Much of the focus of the book is on the chemicals, nutrients, vitamins, and enzymes derived from various food sources that have positive versus negative effects on our bodies, and how a carnivore diet can help to eliminate many of the pro-inflammatory effects of various breakdown products from fruits, vegetables, grains, and particularly processed foods. Additional points cover the potential benefits and detriments of including raw milk, honey, bone broth, and organ meats within a carnivore diet. Particularly useful to those thinking about taking the plunge towards a meat-based diet are the suggested methods to ease into the full diet, and various recipes for meals, snacks, and weekly menus. I was particularly impressed with the author's fair description of the differences, pluses, and minuses of keto, and vegan, as compared to the carnivore diet, and how each diet affects physiological processes like glucose- and ketone-based metabolism and energy generation, as well as vitamin, mineral, and enzyme deficiencies. The author has studied these issues extensively and writes in a manner that is accessible to lay readers. My only concern was that the section on evidence for realizing the long-term health benefits of a carnivore diet lacked any discussion of controlled clinical trials and relied solely on anecdotal reports. Otherwise, the book provides a lot of detailed nutrition-based scientific information that will be useful to those considering carnivore or keto diets for improved health.
Revolutionizing Health: A Deep Dive into the Carnivore Lifestyle with George Kelly's Latest Work Navigating the sea of dietary trends, George Kelly’s "Carnivore Diet For Beginners + Cookbook" stands out as a lighthouse for those venturing towards a radical shift in their eating habits. My recent exploration of this book, courtesy of a Kindle Unlimited subscription, unveiled a treasure trove of insights that resonated deeply with my quest for a healthier lifestyle.
Kelly masterfully articulates the principles of a zero-carb, all-meat diet, drawing upon scientific evidence to highlight its potential in reducing inflammation, aiding weight loss, and enhancing overall physical performance. His professional and meticulous approach in dissecting the nuances of the carnivore diet, as compared to its ketogenic cousin, offers readers a well-rounded perspective on the benefits of meat-centric nutrition.
While the absence of visual recipe illustrations and a more explicit discussion on the energy efficiency of meat over carbs were missed opportunities, these minor gaps scarcely detract from the book's substantial offerings. Over 40 high-fat recipes, coupled with a thoughtfully curated 7-day meal plan, equip readers with the practical tools necessary for embarking on this dietary journey.
The inclusion of a comprehensive FAQ section further enriches the narrative, showcasing Kelly's foresight in addressing potential queries and concerns, thus making "Carnivore Diet For Beginners + Cookbook" an indispensable guide for those intrigued by the promises of a carnivorous lifestyle. Through his scholarly yet accessible writing, Kelly not only educates but also inspires a reevaluation of conventional dietary paradigms, making this book a pivotal read for anyone looking to revolutionize their approach to health and well-being.
I’ve always looked at the Carnivore Diet as some unimaginably difficult diet that only the most disciplined of people could partake in, but after reading Carnivore Diet for Beginner’s I can honestly say that I’m seeing a world in which I too could partake in this diet. This book is written in a way that is to the point and full of useful information. There weren’t many times where I felt the need to skim past pages (other than the recipe section, though I will be going back to these in the future if I do ever start the diet myself). The author clearly knows what they’re talking about as they navigate between the pros and the cons of the carnivore diet. Some of the things discussed are ways in which to get through the rough early stages of the diet, how it compares to Keto, and some of the alternatives to foods you are used to that can be had using this diet. My favorite parts of this book were the one’s focused on how this diet can benefit the one who is following it. For someone to sacrifice so many of the foods and drinks that we know and love, there would need to be a reward. And it’s good to know that the rewards from this diet don’t just come in the form of being in better physical shape. There is also a mental sharpening and emotional sharpening that make the diet seem even more beneficial than I initially thought. If it wasn’t for this book, I would have probably just kept the idea of a carnivore diet on the backburner of my mind. But now that I’ve read this, I’d say it’s getting close to time for me to start this endeavor. (Even if the initial weeks seem as if they’ll be awful to get through.)
In the book Carnivore Diet for Beginners, the Author, George Kelly outlines everything you could want to know about this specific diet. As we all know, the diets we each choose are very personal and vary greatly. This book goes in to very specific details of what the Carnivore diet is and how it compares to other diets. For example, Carnivore vs. Keto and even Carnivore vs. Vegan (which are on very opposite seeming diets). The beginning of book covers the basics. What exactly is the Carnivore Diet. Perhaps that seems like a no brainer, but it’s actually a little more complicated than just eat meat. He outlines the specifics of foods, spices, snack and even how animal products like cheese and eggs factor in. In addition, the author answers very clearly many questions a newbie to this diet would have (How often you should eat, how much you should eat, both negative and positive symptoms of the diet, and what to consider before starting this diet). As you learn about this diet and it’s benefits, you will also learn where it may leave you deficient in nutrients or vitamins and how to get those into your diet. This is also one the topics he goes into detail on when comparing different diets to this one. Later in the book he includes some recipes, which i found helpful. There weren’t too many and weren’t too difficult to manage. Occasionally, I found the book to be a bit redundant, but more often than not it was helpful. I always need to hear/read things more than once to really remember. All in all, this is a great book if you want to learn all about the Carnivore Diet and if it would benefit your lifestyle.
In an age where dietary trends come and go with the wind, the carnivore diet stands out as a lighthouse for those navigating the tumultuous seas of health and wellness. Championed by millions across the globe, this diet isn't just another fad; it's a transformative approach to eating that strips back the complexities of modern nutrition to its most primal essence. By focusing exclusively on nutrient-dense, bioavailable animal foods, the carnivore diet serves as the ultimate elimination diet, cutting out potential irritants and allergens that plague our bodies in the contemporary food landscape.
But it's more than just about what it removes; it's about what it provides. Every bite is packed with essential nutrients directly from nature's most concentrated sources, offering complete nourishment for every cell and organ. This diet boldly challenges the prevailing NWO vegan agenda, presenting a stark alternative that emphasizes the innate human need for animal-derived nutrition.
Adherents of the carnivore diet report profound improvements in health, wellness, vitality, and confidence. From sharper mental clarity and increased energy levels to significant weight loss and improved digestive health, the testimonials speak volumes of its efficacy. The carnivore diet isn't just about eating meat; it's about reclaiming one's health and rediscovering the joy of thriving, not just surviving. In a world filled with nutritional noise, the carnivore diet offers a clear, uncomplicated path back to the basics of human health.
For someone who is completely new to the carnivore diet, this book has been an extremely eye-opening and life-changing guide. Doing a deep dive into the tenets of the diet, rooted in historical context and scientific evidence, this work puts contents in a both available and engaging format for the beginner.
It's also full of minute details about organ meats and ancestral nutrition, proving their immense health benefits. If the recipes in this book are delicious, they are also very diverse. That easily makes one's transition to this diet both enjoyable and simple. The 7-day meal plan and grocery list are excellent ways to break into this kind of lifestyle and answer common concerns about sugar cravings and nutrient deficiencies.
This is a book that merely radiates the passion of the author and his meticulousness in detail, so much more than being one to provide diet guides; this is a holistic approach toward well-being. Comparisons among the carnivore, keto, and vegan diets bring to light certain perspectives that enhance readers' insight into different dietary approaches.
One small criticism would be that there are quite a few text-heavy sections that can get a little overwhelming. Inclusion of more visuals—pictures of recipes or probably some infographics—would help in making the text readable.
All in all, this should be a read for anyone looking forward to getting information on the carnivore diet and some practical advice to begin this journey towards optimal health. Highly recommended!
The Carnivore Diet For Beginners + Cookbook was an interesting read, and a hot topic of debate in my household. I tend to stick with more of a balanced diet approach, but my husband cycles through keto and carnivore dieting, and it's really helped him. It was great to learn that this IS a sustainable way of eating and often great for people with autoimmune issues, IBD/IBS, inflammation, enhances cognition, and aids in weight loss.
I thought the section on honey was really interesting as well, and knew it was antiseptic, but didn't realize that it has hydrogen peroxide in it (about 900x weaker than what we'd put on a wound).
It was also good to learn about the differences between the keto and carnivore diets - but only using salt (no other spices)!? I'm not sure I could do that. My only feedback is that some portions of the book seemed a little repetitive. Specifically when talking about similarities between the diets - how they both cause brain fog at the beginning, etc.
I LOVED the recipes included at the end of the book. I'll definitely be making the bone broth, and my husband loves his pork rinds.
While I agree that these diets aren't for everyone, I also feel like it's not up to us to judge what diet might work for others. If you feel great eating this way, then...keep doing it! And kudos to you, because it sounds like it takes a lot of discipline. Great read if you're ready to learn more about nutrition!
In this book, you’ll find yourself on a journey through the ancient echoes of our evolutionary past, a primal exploration into the health benefits of a meat-centric lifestyle.
The author masterfully dissects the historical context, emphasizing the significant role meat played in our cognitive evolution over millions of years. The book boldly champions the carnivore diet, presenting it as a path to optimal health and wellness, aligning with our evolutionary design.
The narrative, however, encounters a few hurdles. While the information is a succulent cut of carnivorous wisdom, the book’s organization resembles a mixed grill – flavorsome but lacking a cohesive structure. The extensive FAQ section, though meaty with scientific detail, occasionally leaves readers wandering down familiar paths.
The carnivore diet is defended against its skeptics and presented with nuanced benefits beyond the buzz. The book portrays carnivory not merely as a dietary choice but as a holistic lifestyle, echoing the primal beats of our ancestors.
Yet, the richness of the content comes at a cost – a weighty read that demands thorough digestion. The absence of a more digestible structure leaves readers yearning for a more streamlined culinary journey through the world of carnivore healing.
A feast of information, but the lack of a well-defined recipe may leave readers longing for a more organized presentation.
Humans are omnivores. Society tells us not to eat meat because of the cholesterol and fat, that it isn't good, and to try to eat plant based. I can vouch that a plant based diet does not work. I was a vegetarian for five or six years and got sick and anemic. Meat contains nutritional value, and to deprive yourself of that can be detrimental to your health. I got listeria from eating raw vegan food. It's better to cook your food and get rid of the bacteria. Going full carnivore would be the opposite. I have become more open minded. This book has definitely given me incentive. This book contains health information on how to get the nutrients you need from consuming meat. Especially if you are lacking nutrients from limiting or restricting meat, the book goes into detail how you can up your vitamin intake. The book goes into how to cook all the parts of the meat including tongue and liver. No part of the animal goes to waste. Even the bones can be used for broth. The recipes on here range from common everyday bacon, steak, lamb shanks on how to cook Elk and even a recipe on how to cook Kangaroo.
The book is well researched and is not just a recipe book. It talks about whether or not the carnivore diet would be appropriate for children or others. It defies the social norms, and reminds us of our basic primal existence. Even if you are not a carnivore, when it comes to good health, this is a must read.
My friend and I both suffer from autoimmune diseases and lately she swears by eating a meat focused diet. And although I know she eats certain veggies, so she must have a more paleo approach, I picked up this book because I was curious about what this kind of diet might look like for me.
Written by a dietitian nutritionist to help people restore health and vitality by illuminating inflammatory foods, this book addresses one of the stricter meat-focused diets.
I believe the hardest part of following this diet at its most strict would be living without fruit and vegetables. The author breaks down different stages that help to make transition less shocking and there is a section of blending this diet with a keto diet when needed to make it easier, say when you travel, so that you can stay on a low carb diet at times when you cannot cook for yourself.
I enjoyed learning what an amazing thing honey was and that it could be included in the diet. The idea of giving up sugar overwhelms me, but adding honey might help chill out my cravings.
After reading, regardless if I take on a carnivore diet, I am going to add more gelatin into my diet.
The book includes a series of recipes to make your life easier. Of the recipes I am most excited to try the pepperoni chips, the bacon weave, and the cheesy air fryer meatballs.
Carnivore Diet for Beginners by George Kelly is chock full of information.
An intriguing look into a controversial diet, Carnivore Diet for Beginners could have benefitted by having pictures or a change in formatting where the recipes were presented. This would have broken up the blocks of information/text which sometimes felt overwhelming and dry.
I liked the tone of Carnivore Diet for Beginners. It very much reads like an explanation by a dietician regarding the pros and cons of the diet.
It also explores similar diets such as the popular Keto diet. Comparing and contrasting both the most similar (Keto) and the most different (vegan) was an interesting addition.
Technically, the writing is well presented. The editing was on point, and the addition of source information at the end lends credence to the proposed diet. I would challenge anyone interested in this lifestyle change to ensure that they've both researched it fully and discussed it with their doctor.
Overall, Carnivore Diet for Beginners is an interesting read. It is full of information and does a good job of presenting George Kelly's opinions on the matter. My only critique is that it would be an easier and more enjoyable read if the author had added pictures of the recipes or at least changed up the format in that section. This would break up the sheer text format of the rest of the book.

This book is fantastic, with clear directions and simple meat snack ideas. My view of the carnivorous diet has been completely transformed after reading this book. Perfect for newbies as well, with tasty foods to try and meal plans to stick to throughout the regimen. I would imagine that cutting out all produce would be the most challenging aspect of this diet plan if followed religiously. It was interesting for me to learn about the benefits of honey and how it can be used in a healthy diet. Its mention of spices derived from plants baffled me. The book addresses typical concerns, such as preventing vitamin deficits and moving off a ketogenic diet, while shedding light on the advantages of combining regular nutrition with organ meats.
The author's thorough explanation of the diet and its advantages, as well as comparisons to other diets and their pros and cons, was, in my opinion, one of the book's strongest points. I found it rather intriguing that there were similarities to the Keto diet and that the two may complement each other.
The author goes above and above by including a meal plan so that readers may try out the whole concept. Rather of abandoning his readers, he actively sought to resolve their issues.
I will start by saying that I don't follow a carnivore diet, but I was still interested in a book on this topic: "Carnivore Diet For Beginners + Cookbook" by George Kelly seemed to be just what I was looking for. In addition to introducing the carnivore diet, the book outlines its advantages (at least from a theoretical standpoint) and compares it to other dietary regimens. The author appears to be quite knowledgeable about the subject of nutrition and the carnivore dietary regimen, where only animal products are consumed.
In addition to explaining the science behind this dietary regimen, the book also presents some delicious recipes. Although I don't think I will convert to this dietary regimen, I was very impressed by the ease and passion with which everything was explained. Furthermore, the recipes are still useful for everyone (and I will almost certainly try them).
It's also great to finally read a book that explains in a simple manner (without using overly scientific or incomprehensible language but still remaining rigorous) the principles of this diet, and above all, finally an author that avoids demonizing the use of meat as is now fashionable in most of the Western world.
