This is a short story telling a story about various different characters and their love lives. I’m not very used to reading short stories I must admit, I normally read longer novels. It was quite a quick read and ok too so I gave it 3 stars. I think I would have liked to learn more about certain characters but I know that short stories cannot be very long so the chapters can only be short ones.

I like romance novels and love stories as a genre normally and this story despite being short was an ok read.

I loved this book so much. It’s a collection of 10 short stories that will have your emotions running. This book portrays heartbreak, grief, love, drama, and so many other topics!

All the characters are well written and I loved all the twists.

In short, these short stories are well worth the read and will have you feeling many different emotions. I definitely recommend this quick read and I look forward to reading more of this authors work in the future.

A collection of ten short romantic suspense stories with unexpected twists and turns. The distinctive narration makes it relatable. I was impressed by the author's excellent writing style and unique stories. They are enchanting, uplifting and heartwarming. You are drawn right into the tales by the author's flawless weaving. There is no doubt that they will tug at your heartstrings. There is a mix of emotions throughout the stories. There are confessions, drama, secrets, obsessions, heartbreaks, griefs, uncertainties, memories, mysteries, and suspicions. Despite the simplicity of the language, the emotions are accurately conveyed. A few break your heart, and others make you nod your head in agreement as if you had witnessed a similar event.

This anthology of 10 short “love”stories, set in New Zealand, took me by surprise, as some of the love stories were anything but.
The characters were well written, and the plots well thought through.
All of them had a twist in the tale, and kept me hooked to the end.

A water sports fictional story about Lucas and the narrator.The story tells of Lucas's obsession for water sports and his childhood life.The story apart from being a sport story also in addition to the sports of swimming ,looks at the concept of trust as it mirrors the narrators doubt if he could trust Lucas with his life.The benefits of technology such as the mobile phone in emergency is also seen in the story.

SYNOPSIS
The fictional story is about the narrator and her husband Rex as she is seen worries over her husbands infidelity and looks forward to attending the ball with diplomats and their wives in attendance.We see her trying to be strong after the deaths of loved ones and her husbands emotional response to death.

A story about the narrator and Charlotte and their Christmas Eve event date.It looks at dishes and the food vendor business categories and the present to the narrator from Charlotte as a Christmas surprise gift.Raises questions on where and when to unwrap gifts.

A historical fiction on Maori leadership,Interrnational relations, language and culture tolerance.It looks at interfaith mediation by Tuai the Maori leader,colonialism,wars and breach of right to own property.The story mirrors the ancestral link of the Tuai and their link to the British.

A fictional story about the narrator Grace and other characters such as Oliver and her friend Maggie.It tells of the narrator and the stalker at the Picton ferry and the narrator feeling aloof and having no sense of belonging in his family as the narrator informs Oliver of the stranger stalking him as Oliver is in doubt.The story also looks at Grace and her older half brother Rua who she met for the first time after they lost contact while he was a baby.

STORY EIGHT-MISTAKEN.

This fictional story looks at the life of the narrator,Bruno and their neighbor,Mrs Howe even as there is suspicion of infidelity by the narrator of Bruno due to narrators own personal experience and broken marriage.

A fictional story about the narrators critical mum and her dying day under his watch with his recall of the last moments;travails while oneaeth and their exchange of the place of mother and child with growth and development.Raises questions whether a parent can pass on their childhood emotion and memories to their own children.
STORY TEN-PRIVATE ARRANGEMENT
SYNOPSIS
A fictional Story about the narrator and Ronan and the narrators marriage to Conrad,starting a family with news of constraints of having their own children or having sex.The story looks at their plan to settle their difference and tackle their situation while looking at recovery and convalensing after accidents.It raises questions on legality of denying a child it's paternal belonging and whether tainable to resolve childlessness in another home.It also looks at whether children make a woman settle down and drives her away from sex.Raises questions further on child's sex preference and spouse consent to infidelity as we see Conrad consent to the narrator having a child out while he is paralysed in other to solve their childlessness.

This book is a great collection of unique and compelling stories.

There are some things that could've been better. In some parts, the editing needs a little improvement. Flashbacks are sometimes hard to distinguish from the present. At the beginning of the book, having one quote instead of many would have been more impactful.

But overall, the plot is well balanced, there's not too much to process and not too little to leave unresolved issues. Each chapter has the adequate type of narrator needed for the story.

This collection is a wonderful mix of twists and turns that leaves the readers with a variety of emotions and makes them want to read more.
