“Lily,” Rhett says gently, “I wasn’t trying to imply-“
He stops when her breathing picks up, looking back and forth between the two of us. She’s panicking and us towering over her like this is causing it.
Rhett looks over to me, “Fallon…”
“Baby girl, no.” I tell her, and stop when she holds her hands up to us to ward us off.
Choking on a sob, we watch as she squeezes her eyes shut and begs us, “I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have spoken to you like that. I swear, it won’t happen again. I’ll stay up here and I’ll be gone by morning. P-Please…”
I can feel the same look of horror that’s on Rhett’s face, spread over mine. The fuck did those bastards do to this girl?

This is an insta-love, age-gap ménage, MFM (older men/younger woman) romance with possessive and protective men and a very innocent woman.
This novella was worth every minute of heartbreak from the first 1/3 of the story. We love a good redemption arc and Rhett and Fallon got exactly that. Lily’s character development was sweet (honestly almost wish this was a full length novel. I love these characters SO much). I can’t wait to have all of these in paperback sitting on my shelf
I love me a little novella and this was perfect! I loved the angst at the beginning and how the characters progressed!! This threesome was so cute and I loved both guys! Go read this now!
this is really more of a personal preference thing. i know that this is an escapist fantasy and i get that people enjoy this book! i myself enjoyed reading about a heroine who struggled with food.
however, im DNF'ing, and I'll just state my reasoning.
the heroine is a terrified, completely sexually inexperienced, abused, basically homeless foster kid with an eating disorder, who just turned 18. she's basically the most vulnerable a person can be, and has SO much going on and she needs SO much therapy. and i know, i knooow, this is fiction, and i get that people enjoy this book. i just have a hard time reading about 2 men in their thirties (according to my calculations*), who she depends on for food and a roof over her head, immediately pursuing a relationship with her. like, what part of seeing a starved, abused, fearful 18yo makes them interested in pursuing a romantic and sexual relationship?? and then they figure out that she's a virgin, and it turns them on so much that i found it unbelievably creepy given their circumstances.
idk, i think ive just gotten to that age (mid-20s) where romances centered on a vulnerable teen heroine getting together with grown men is no longer romantic and is more tragic and would make me want to have said men shot if it were real life.
*it's mentioned that it's been 15 years since the heroes moved out of their parents' house. assuming they moved out at 18 and 19/20 respectively (there's a small age difference between the heroes), that would place their ages at 33 and 34/35.

I LOVED this quick sweet read. I read it in a day, and the only thing I was honestly disappointed about was how short it was! Super sweet, a bit spicy, and covers a lot of genres and tags in one fell swoop for a quick read. Traumatized Heroine. Ménage (MFM) Age Gap “Good Girl” treats Bossy Men Found family Misunderstanding (with quick clear up) And more!… Honestly surprised how well it was done with so many tropes it tried to incorporate while still being well read. I just wish there was MORE! More information on her past, more information on the men’s past, more interaction with her, the men, and the foster family. Just more! Still a great standalone read though.
This was a short read MFM. Fallon, Lily qnd Rhett. A misunderstanding that leads to something more. The story was good but I really wanted more. Just the right amount of spice for the length. The last book of the Innocence Series in which all the FMC are innocent and sweet.
