There was less tension but I feel it was forced that Ayase has feelings for the mc. Even in her diary is not really explained what makes him so attractive besides just being nice to her. He helps her and has qualities she admires but that's all haha
Perhaps the mc has it even more forced due to having the idea of pseudo incest implanted because of the media.
Anyway, the personalities of each one although flawed (unrealistic, contradictory to their 'smart' personality) are more entertaining that common archetypes. I guess it could be that they are actually well written given their background and development so far.
Vol. 4 has alternate POV chapters so we will dwell on Ayase ideas and feelings instead of a brief summary at the end. This should have been done since the beginning instead of exploring with the mc... but wouldn't the mystery disappear? What about if it was the fmc instead?

Saki Ayase has gotten a job at the same bookstore as her step-brother Yuuta Asamura. Also there is Shiori Yomiuri, a college student who is friendly with Yuuta. Saki has noticed a change in her attitude toward Yuuta - i.e. she feels jealousy when Yuuta spends time with Shiori. And then comes a pool party invitation from Maaya Narasaka which Saki and Yuuta finally decide to attend. They had fun there, but Yuuta realized his feelings toward Saki had changed. So will the two ever get their feelings sorted out and verbalized? Maybe in the next volume.
Taking place a month after the first day in summer break, here the third person begun to appear in the step brother-sister relationship 🤣 Seems like the contract would end soon for the two already have the seed of... 🤣
