Cooper Menzies never wanted to settle down in his first life and he thinks he should stay true to himself in his second. The witches warn that love might cross his path, but he scoffs and tempts the fate they've promised--thinks he can walk away when he likes. Silly Highlander. Valentine has come to Scotland to see if she's been catfished. Her online relationship can only go one of two ways--but Destiny finds a third, and in her dazed state, a Highlander comes to her rescue. She will wish he hadn't...
I started reading these book well before I knew anything about Outlander. My husband and I visited Scotland and Ireland 10years ago. I wanted to see/ feel the ghosts of Culluden Moor. There was so much pain there it was overwhelming. I love these books. Not everything works out as we think it should. But, is works out as it must. Great stories L.L. Muir is a talented , inspiring writer.
Two people, a lonely lass and former ghost wishes to see and talk with a loved one, one more time! With the help of an internet pal and a couple of Muir witches that wish was granted with finding love thrown in! I enjoyed this book and all books by this author who shows a bit of her own magic!
I didn’t really take to Valentine; she was rather unpleasant. Cooper was fun and believable (for a former ghostie). Somewhere in the mix the romance element seemed missing at worst, and very thin at best. Recommended to read, just don’t expect the usual level of romance.
I've been a fan of L.L. Muir even before this amazing series. This book is no exception. I enjoyed how Valentine didn't believe Cooper till nearly the end, but it broke my heart for the reason why. So glad the sisters worked their magic for closures on both of them. It's a bit short but a cute happy ending nonetheless.
Another winner from LL Muir! This book was fun to read, and the ending was perfect! I enjoyed the tour around Scotland, I believe Cooper is one of my favorites. On to the next book but also bittersweet coming to the end of this series. I’ve been reading about the highlanders for a year I will miss them all!
Wonderful story and chcharacters! I loved it so much I really needed the distraction today and it filled the bill perfectly! Deep sighs of love and happiness for both of them! Great job on this series!
This had to be the best of 74 books. It wasn’t long but boy it made an impact. I love the characters, the theme and the idea of taking a chance. Even the cynic in me believed in the Magic of the Highlands.
I love when Ms. Muir writes the story. (should I say the book before just didn't have the same effect on me) loved these characters, and getting back to the ghosties story, which is what makes all these books so entertaining.
Great writing as always. A couple of editing glitches in spots. Didn’t much care for Valentine. Found her rather rude and dismissive of others culture. Cooper at least got closure with his Dad.
I read and lived and loved every single ghost adventure. No improveme It'sNttn. I would not change a thing. I was transported to a very romantic age. I was so happy to share this adventure. Thank you all.
I'm going to miss this series when #79 weds his witch. How these authors can think of so many different ways to get, sometimes reluctant , ghosties is to fall in love or get the lassies to.
There was nothing about this book that I didn't like. True to L.L.Muir fashion It was sensitive and funny. Easy reading. I would recommend it to everyone that I know who reads. Looking forward to more from her in the future.
Cooper was a fun ex ghost. Valentine and him both had se gets but oh the romance bloomed! Loved the reference to Outlander,“Auch, it’s a figure of speech, love. Travelin’ through time by way of a stone circle. Popular movie about it.”
Another good story. Things were pretty shaky after Cooper told his story. Once she met his father's and her grandmother's ghosts, though, their romance grew. It was a very satisfying ending when he showed up to find her.
Excellent as always!! I really liked these characters and the plot of this book. I really need a Highlander of my own! Always looking forward to reading the next installment of this series.
Cooper and Valentines story was excellent. I enjoyed all of it. But you had me worried there at the end. So glad I wasn't disappointed. Great writing.😁
