You've been told you are terminal and nothing more can be done for you. You've heard the word 'hospice' in relation to you. So now what? Do you crawl onto a deathbed and wither away?
Hopefully not.
For me, the time I'm spending in the care of hospice is time well-spent - time that is exclusively about me - about what I want to do in that pain-free moment or day. It is about who I want to spend time with - and about the stories I want to share. It is about looking back at a life well lived - and looking forward to a life still worth living.
I hope my personal reflections bring comfort to you on your final journey.
