I've been writing since my teens. In addition to writing for several newspapers and magazines in the US, Europe, Asia, and Africa, I've written two books on leadership and a number of fiction works. I'm also a published poet, photographer, and artist. I write in several genres, reflecting my broad reading tastes. I spent 20 years in the army, retiring in 1982 and becoming a diplomat. I've worked in about 10 countries and traveled to about 30 more, mining each for material to write about.
Slow moving story line. We spend a lot of time within the main characters head. He is a recently created werewolf and a great deal of the story is spent at controlling his darker-self. The book ends rather abruptly, leaving a few plot lines unresolved. It appears to be a setup for future chapters. There are some delightfully macabre descriptors of the carnage of an attack. But there isn’t much horror or suspense in between those moments. We need more monster! There are racial slurs and violence against people of color. There is brutality of both man and beast. There are some typos in the electronic book. Cannot recommend.

The only thing better than one werewolf is two werewolves. The West is not a good place to be - unless you are a wolfman. Someone has to do what's right even if it is something not right. I would recommend reading the first book in the series since the reader had to be able to understand what is going on in this book. I recommend them!
It took no time to get into the book; while I never want to be near a werewolf, I live reading stories of them. The characters were well described and interesting!
I’m hoping there is more of this story. I want to find out what happens to the crooked Marshall and if any of the other crooks that burned Enricos ranch are alive.
