What do you get when your father’s a centaur and your mother’s a powerful magician?

A unicorn shifter…

You’d think being the only known unicorn shifter in the world would have a few benefits. Like, people treating you kindly or getting special treatment from the council. Not in my case. I'd be lucky to get a piece of bread thrown at me.

My name is Celestia Rainbow, and yes, my last name is fucking Rainbow.

Shifters assume that I’m kind by nature, but trust me: I’m fierce, short-tempered and have the mouth of a sailor. Add in my stealthy fighting skills, advanced magic casting, and swift movement, I'm someone you wouldn't want to mess with. But everyone looks at my shifter side – my ditzy, peaceful half, sprinkling magic dust, and on a mission to end world hunger.

Regardless of my dual personality, I’ve sworn to become a huntress at Aslan Academy. Now that I’m of age--my lucky twenty-fifth birthday just happens to coincide with the entrance exams--I’m ready to prove my worth.

Too bad I’m grouped up with six sinful looking men.

Time to prove to my community, classmates and this attractive bunch of weirdos that unicorns can kick ass too.

CELESTIA is a new REVERSE HAREM, paranormal series. Recommended for 18+ audiences, containing mature sexual content, violence and strong language.

UNICORN. REVERSE. HAREM. STORY.
Where have you been all my life?

u·ni·corn
ˈyo͞onəˌkôrn/

1. a mythical animal typically represented as a horse with a single straight horn projecting from its forehead.
2. perfect and best animal ever.

- As a unicorn trapped in a human body, I felt very connected to Celestia.
- Celestia Rainbow has naturally purple, pink and gold hair. Hashtag so jealous.
- Sleeping rainbow dust, please.

description

- There is a story.
- There are guys.
- There is a bit of fighting.
- But who cares? There is a unicorn.
- Hashtag magical.

description

Okay, okay.

Celestia Rainbow has been bullied all her life. People don't believe in unicorns (so narrow minded) and couldn't find anything more interesting to do than abuse a little girl.
Her mom wasn't there, her dad wasn't there, her life was pretty shitty and at the mature age of nine she wanted to kill herself. Luckily, a great and powerful master stopped her in time and took her as his student.
Years later, approaching her 25th birthday and having the emotional maturity of a twelve years old, she is accepted to Aslan Academy, the most selective as fuck school in all the dimensions. There she teams up with six powerful outcast shifters that immediately succumb to her magnificence. Making it the only acceptable instalove of the century, because duh, she's a unicorn.
But of course, not everything is love and rainbow (it so is) and unknown people are trying to kill Celestia probably because they're so jealous she's a unicorn.

description

And then stuff happens and that might include a harpy/phoenix familiar, some dual personality syndrome, a very late birthday party, a bit of kissing (twelve years old mentality, remember), and things I already don't remember. It might also end of an annoying little cliffhanger.

But SHE'S A UNICORN.
And that's all that matters.

Next please.

I Gabrielle do so solemnly swear to never again read Yumoyori Wilson from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us part.

I gave it a fair shot and managed 75% but after losing count of cutie pie and pixie boys and ....barf barf skim skim I could take no more. Not to mention this was deja vu from the starlight series, split personality AGAIN

I'm sorry fans of her work but something just does not click with her writing for me. The obsession with over explaining everything is really tiring to read. I don't need to know how the water felt in the shower, what the teacher was wearing or how beautiful everyones smile is, it's unnecessary filler.

So thank you for those hours of my life that I will never get back, I've leaned my lesson this time.

Not for me

Ugh, guys let me just be honest I hated it, I mean I carried on just wishing somehow I'd grow to like it, maybe because I really wanted to but unfortunately it had that eye rolling appeal. It was just goofy as all hell, cheesy, and down right childish writing. I'm very disappointed. It was like a bad Harry potter meets shifter story

Not a good book

This book had potential, but it’s a miserable flop. Here’s why:
1. My biggest complaint is that the characters are 25+ years old and act like fricken 15 year olds. The writer just doesn’t really have the concept of age appropriate characters down. I mean, really, by 25 sexual tension is much more complex than what was written here and Celestial was super immature (not to mention her harem of guys were also basically teenagers). If you want to write YA, then do that and don’t confuse the rest of us with adult ages.
2. The nicknames weren’t cute. They were annoying and go along with the whole immaturity for the characters. Cutie Pie isn’t a nickname. It’s a term of endearment that we use for CHILDREN. Not adults. Pixie Boy...well, let’s just say, if your writing children, that’s fine, but when it comes to adults, not so much.
3. Each and every tragic backstory was almost completely unbelievable. Adults don’t treat children that way. Children are physically designed to create feeling of protectiveness in adults and parents don’t just abandon their children for their jobs. It’s not even emotionally possible if you love your kids to abandon them to basically being an orphan just to go work somewhere no matter how important you think the job is. I mean, seriously, the tragic backstories of this book were just well beyond suspension of disbelief.
4. The writing as a whole was immature. Not a lot of surprises with the vocabulary (if any) and a lot of repetition or emotionally inaccurate descriptions. And the entire plot was ridiculous. The ending was just a right hook out of nowhere and ridiculous. Basically the writer wasted 99% of the book on a plot that didn’t exist for real. Just stupid.

Would I recommend this book to anyone? No. No I would not. It’s too YA to be interesting to the mature reader and too mature with its sexual themes to be appropriate for children. And it also just isn’t a good book. I wouldn’t want my kids thinking this was what good writing was like. I would want my kids to enjoy exceptional and age appropriate writing so they know what to expect from not only the authors they read but from themselves if they want to put pen to paper.

Super YA vibe. All the main characters sounded early teen. I can’t believe I made it thru the entire book. Just wasn’t in the mood for a super simple YA type book.

This has been popping up on my "recommended for you" list for months, and I finally got intrigued enough to read this unicorn shifter story. Unfortunately, this felt like it should not have left the internet - this is very much wattpad vibes. While there are no typos, the writing feels incredibly juvenile. The characters are all pretty weak, the dialogue felt unnatural, and the story was convoluted. An interesting premise/initial concept, but not great execution imo.

I did not finish this book due to its poor structure, confusing storyline, and poor writing. There were a ton of inconsistencies throughout the book, which made following the plot almost impossible. At first I thought it was because of the split personality issue, but that was not the case. I constantly found myself flipping back to earlier portions of the book to see if I had misread or misunderstood something, and I kept finding that the characters were just that inconsistent. So, for example, she says at the beginning of the book that multiple mates are common, and she jokes that she’s going to get 6 boyfriends at school. She then meets 6 guys at school and is shocked at the idea of multiple mates, and she has never heard of someone being with more than one person. Likewise, and this is important for the character's back story, The writing itself is also quite juvenile. I do not believe for a second that the main character is 25 or that her friends are also in their mid- to late-20s. The dialogue is also excruciating. All in all, it was hard to follow, the back story kept changing, and the writing itself was not good. I liked the idea of several different types of shifters, including an awesome unicorn, but this book absolutely did not do it for me. There is fortunately another RH series that has a male unicorn (ceraptor), even if he isn't rainbow-colored...

Dude...

There is No fucking Way These characters Can be 25.....

If they were 16 it would be considerably more realistic.

The whole Dual-personality didn’t work for me.

The whole patting her on her head to calm her Down? Wth..... who the fuck past a 25 yo woman on the head?

In the middle of January I was contacted by one of the employees from The Indie Academy, who was asking if I'd be interested in reading any of Yumoyori Wilson's books. I'm usually always up for reading some new books, but lately my beloved Reverse Harem genre has let me down, so I was a bit hesitant. But of course I agreed.  Once I got in contact with Yumo she openly invited me to request any of her books, that I wanted to read. While I was browsing her many books, I saw this and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to read about unicorn shifters. One of my all time favourite mythological creatures. A creature that's highly underused. In my oppinion there should be a lot more unicorns galloping around in paranormal books. But alas that's not the case, so I just have to read about them as often as I can.

From a very early age Celestia Rainbow has been on her own. Due to obligations her parents left to go to other dimensions, for jobs and higher callings. As upstanding citizens in their shifter dimension, they entrust their daughters safety to the townsfolk, who unfortunately doesn't want anything to do with her. As a unicorn shifter her parents did tell her to keep it quiet, but as children tends to do when asked, Celestia blurted out the truth. This caused the shifter community to not just neglect her, but to abuse, physically and mentally hurt and bully her on a daily basis. The only one who seemed to be there for Celestia was  one of the dimension's legends, Master Magnor. With this high level of training, she's incredibly advanced in magical spells and academics. She also has another side, Sia Rainbow, who is an expert at fighting, martial arts, and all physical things. Together they make one badass shifter.

But aside from Mastor Magnor Celestia & Sia only have one other being in their life, their harpy-phoenix familiar, Arielle. So, they dream of being accepted - and being a huntress of the prestigious Aslan Academy, could bring them just that. If she can pass the initial trials, prove her worth, she will be assigned to a team and one step closer to her dream. Of course Celestia & Sia pass the tests, and on the day of their 25 birthday, they are assigned to team M (which they start calling team Misfits) along with 6 guys.

Finn (a pixie)
Hunter (phoenix)
Caio & Cairus (twins, and tiger shifters)
Theo (bat shifter)
Orion the mysterious (now that would be spoiling

From reading other reviews I've noticed that a lot of people are criticising the immaturity level of Celestia and her team of 6 amazing guys. And I just don't get it. To me it makes all the sense in the world, that these outcasts haven't matured the same as someone who's grownup embraced in love would. Naturally, they're all a bit hesitant and inexperienced - but at the same time, they're happy that they've found like minded people who doesn't feel sorry for them or ignore them, but actually understand the pain and hardship each of them have been through. For me that made the story all the better. And to be honest, it's refreshing with a reverse harem book, where the relationships build slowly.

The split personality personas of Celestia & sia are each truly amazing. Yumo has done a fantastic job in creating different personalities, and sticking to them. Where Celestia is insecure, kind, understanding, loving and grateful - Sia is the fiercer side of the coin. She's accepted her fate is different to Celestia's, and her only true desire is that Celestia finds love and happiness. Whilst this could seem like this fabled unicorn shifter, is setup to be another special snowflake, it couldn't be further from the truth. And that's part of what makes this such a great read.

For me this is the perfect first book! It's all about world and character building. We get under the layers of their back stories, and learn what makes them tick. At the same time Yumo is doing a great job, at creating suspense. Add to the mix a cliffhanger ending, and the recipe is completed.

Although I enjoy this authors ideas, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Again she has another split personality character in her books. I'm a little over this concept. Also the interaction comes across quite immature considering their age is around 25. The banter is very teen like. Saying this the story is quite well thought out but the other problems take away from this. Maybe she needs to slow down a bit as she has the potential to produce some well written stories if a little more thought was put in. Also I understand the struggle the author was trying to portray in the prologue but in this case I was quite put off by it that I almost stopped reading before I got to chapter 1.

Nope.

Didn’t like this one. It feels like all the books from this author follow the same template. The story was slow and dragged a lot. It was a bit of a mess, more teenage melodrama than adults. None of the characters grabbed me. Slightly interested in Finn but apart from that it really wasn’t worth reading.

Review copy kindly provided by the author in exchange for a honest review
On paper, this series, readers will reminder readers of a couple of other series of this author which is set all set at various magical Academies. However the characters of Celestia are unique like her other characters that Wilson has introduced to readers since she started writing. These characters and the storyline make it unique from any other series of this author
Celestia like many of other Wilson’s heroine is a woman complicated by her past. Celestia has mental scars from her upbringing. A girl who wanted to be loved as her parents were busy saving the world. Unfortunately her village didn’t do its job like they hoped it would until Manor took her in and trained her.
Like many other series, this starts at particular time of her life, a turning point which set up the book. Celestia is about to turn 25 and which means she can attend the Aslan academy if she is successful . After being the outsider for so long, she is ready . However readers have to wonder, is Aslan ready for her.
Celestia is a woman on a mission and it shows. She knows how to handle things and despite her back story. She has a tenacity that shines throughout the novel. She rise above the flames to speak and her men are perfect considering that each fit a piece of the puzzle. Readers will love the guys who understand Celestia in an instance and more than ready to handle what to come
Given that things haven’t been easy, readers should be buckled in for the ride. Thisbook definitely slow burning despite the length of the book which covers a lot of territory . This is an action drive book instead and readers are going to be in for a treat

Celestia Rainbow is a rarity, a unicorn shifter. She's been on her own from an early age, bullied to the point of not being able to withstand anymore, then taken in and trained by one of the dimension's legends, Master Magnor Rune. She's incredibly advanced in magical spells and academics. She also has another side, Sia Rainbow who is an expert at fighting, martial arts, and all things physical. Together they make one kick-a** young shifter. Celestia dreams of being a huntress and has been accepted into the prestigious Aslan Academy. If she can pass the initial trials, prove her worth, she will be assigned to a team and one step closer to her dream. No problem, even when her team happens to also include 6 hot, tempting, young men.

A fabled unicorn shifter, a wonderfully complex leading lady, six hot guys, a great adventure; what more could you ask for in a book! Celestia is insecure, desperate for love; she's also kind, overly accepting and understanding, grateful, and loving. She reminds me of one of my favorite literary characters of all time; Anne of Green Gables. Sia is fierce, desiring only that Celestia be happy. She's strong, protective, and doesn't put up with as much abuse. They put up a confident front but they just want to feel that they belong. Two sides of the same person. Throw in a glittery rainbow-loving, ditzy, earth-hugging, free-love after-effect of magic overuse and this is one of the most multi-faceted characters Yumoyori Wilson has created to date. Her relationship with her familiar Arielle and her Master were both touching. Who knew "Bru-REE" could mean so many things! The guys were equally complicated. Selfless Finn, protective Hunter, the funny twins Caio and Cairus, mysterious Orion, and kind, caring Theo. Team Misfit. They each have troubled, painful pasts that drew them together as friends. Now they are the perfect fit for Celestia.

This book is one of world and character building, backstory, and story setting. It's also packed full of adventure and a touch of romance. There's humor, suspense, and heartbreaking moments. Along with a captivating story, this book deals with heavy issues such as bullying, depression, and suicidal thoughts. It also shows the characters overcoming the adversity, growing closer, getting stronger. This is a great start to a new series. The book ended with a surprise twist that has me looking forward to the next one already!

Didn't go anywhere. Drags..

I was excited to read this book because the blurb sounded pretty cool.
>A 25 yr old who goes to an academy to be a huntress = shadow hunter vibes = ✔️Yes please!
>More than three hot guys wanting her = ✔️ Where do I sign up?
>She can shift into a freaking unicorn? = ✔️So awesome!

Yeah sounds pretty cool right? Well the book didn't really deliver. I mean I didn't even finish the book so it could have gotten better but the story was just kinda boring. The author takes so much time in the first few paragraphs going over the heroines background instead of slowing going through it during the whole book.
Also, the whole having two personalities and taking turns thing was a little weird at first to me and it just made it harder for me to get into the story. I understand that usually in books shifters have their inner "beast" and they can SOMETIMES take over but it's usually brief. So having every other chapter be either isa or celestia made it a little hard to get used to.

Also, can we talk about age for a second? Celestia is suppose to be 25 yrs old and the other students are around the same age or older..yet their characters seem like teenagers. The whole thing felt like a YA. Really wished the world and characters were more mature maybe then I would have enjoyed it a little more.

It fell shot for me

Oh man!! I tried but it just fell short for me. I love RH and after getting so many good recommendations from the Facebook group I decided to give it a try. But what’s up with them all being 25 years old and acting like they are 16 and in high school. I honestly thought this was going to be more like college with mature and more badass characters. I wish there was more of Sia in it...her personality was way BETTER than Celestia’s which is too girl next door/innocent for me.

Also where is the hot stuff and relationship development? I know this is a slow-but but if you are gonna write a slow-burn then you MUST have a interesting story to keep your readers hooked. But all there is to it is somebody trying to kill the MC, which she manages to get away from it every time without a scratch. Once you read through the acceptance test I think you can just skip to the last chapter of the book because nothing else interesting happens.

To top it off I felt nothing for the relationship, no chemistry. The way they met and just clicked and kind of became BFF from the get-go it was too unrealistic to me. The whole thing was just boring and slow paced for me.

Well. I have some thoughts on this book. I both liked it and kind of hated some parts of it.

I thought the plot line was okay, but could have been better - it moved slowly at times and kind of jumped around randomly in time and events.

The romance left something to be desired. All these characters were supposed to be about 25. They acted closer to 14 or 15 year olds might. I didn't like that. Also, they all immediately loved Celestia. I do like that she had people who cared about her, but also, SHE COULD DO NO WRONG. That I hated. Like, a LOT. She seemed irritatingly perfect with few faults that weren't really faults if you know what I mean.

Celestia was okay, but such an odd mix of young and innocent and her dark past. They reconciled oddly. I didn't like how she was only friends with the guys. While her whole faults that aren't faults thing was annoying, I did root for her at times, even when I thought she was a Mary Sue (how are people this perfect?!)

This being said, I'll read the next one due to the cliffhanger. I liked a couple of things in the book.

Somewhat disappointing

First of all let me say that I have read and purchased all of Ms. Wilson's works except this one. I will read the rest of the series before I decide to invest in it. Now, onto the review.
You can read the book blurb to get an idea of what the book is about. This is my overall opinion of the book. The characters are supposed to be 25 but their dialogue and interactions are much more juvenile. The MC resembled the MC from another book very very closely, to the point they both have basically a split personality disorder. The only difference in the MC split personalities I could understand is that the other book's split personality made much more sense.
The fight scenes were very good and I enjoyed them. I thought the variety of shifters was awesome. I also liked that this is a slow burn with the MC taking the time to get to know each of them.
Overall I will recommend this book but just be aware that it reads more like YA than adult RH. I will use my KU to read the 2nd book in the series to determine if I will purchase the series.

Amazing

OMG my mind is now blown. This book has some of the most incredible world building that I have ever read. On top of that are the characters that are so well developed you feel like you have known them your whole life rooting them on as they get going. Celestia has so many sides to her that my mind was blown. If you want to enter of world of magic, wonder, amazement, and more then you so have to read this book!!! Team Misfit for life! If you can't tell I loved it so it gets 5/5 stars.

Now I hadn't heard anything about this book or author before, I randomly stumbled across it on Amazon and was all ✨️ohhh prettyyy✨️ and I thought, I'll just read a few chapters to break up some review reads. I honestly did not expect to love this, I had zero expectations and wow. This spoke to me on some deep level and you betcha I'll be grabbing the paperback and also waiting patiently for book 2 to drop in a few months!

This is a coming of age fiction, and I would say its appropriate for all ages. There is a romantic element but it is in a sweet way with the focus being on friendship. It hints at becoming a why choose in the next books.

Celestia, the female main character, is a unicorn shifter. She is sweet, a badass with her magic and fighting skills, but also very, very alone.
She knew from a young age she was a unicorn shifter but was told never to shift in front of anyone as everyone believes there are none left and she would be hunted as a result. Since she can't prove it, the entire town bullies her relentlessly. She even considers ending her life due to it. Her parents are powerful and had to leave for magical duties when she was a small child and they believed the town would look out for her. They were wrong.

However, the powerful Magnor takes her in and trains her daily as she wishes to become a huntress and become accepted into Aslan Academy, the elite hunter and huntress school where she can learn to take down the forsaken. She is still without friends until she is in her mid 20s. She has her familiar as her only friend, and Magnor has taken on a fatherly role to her.

When she is accepted to Aslan, she is put into a team with a group of other *misfit* shifters and they instantly bond. They have all had similar traumatic experiences but they are all drawn together and build an absolutely beautiful friendship together.

The way the book ended had me in awe and shocked - I did NOT see it coming and I absolutely cannot wait to jump back into this story. This is not a complex or epic fantasy story - but the underlying storyline is so important and beautiful.

Well I give this book 1 stars even though it doesn't deserve it
When I read the plot I was so happy to find an interesting book with a badass girl that want to prove to the world that she is a force to be reckoned with and I quote "I’m fierce, short-tempered and have the mouth of a sailor. Add in my stealthy fighting skills, advanced magic casting, and swift movement, I'm someone you wouldn't want to mess with" .but what I found is a childish girl with a 25 years old adult body. I found that She is all talk and no action specially after meeting the guys
The relationship between her and them developed so fast with imidiat trust and instantaneous attachement
They all have a tragic past but they all are willing to tell her their secrets .
What don't understand is the
•how is it possible for the guys to know each other before the exam and end up in the same group
•why at first she was confident in herself when confronting Vincent but she turned into a scared pappy with a tail between her legs in the exam
•And how come that they are willing to share her like it's the most normal thing in the world without any straggles with jealousy and possessiveness towards the girl that they love
Everything was so fast and boring with silly jokes about "d**ks " and stupid Nick names with giggles and fainting all the time like some damsel in distress (soooo not badass)
I couldn't find it in me to finish it, I tried but no no I'm sorry I'm not into a child playing dress up
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

This book in one sentence: Celestia is a unicorn shifter, but since no one believes in unicorns, she's been ostracized and abused all her childhood, until she and her split personality get accepted into an elite magic school where she meets six good-looking dudes and sexual tensions arise.
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐
Steaminess: 🌶️
Would I recommend: This book is kinda ridiculous, but fun regardless. There's some weak points in the writing, I felt like the dual personalities was really under developed. The friendship with her team members are too automatic and not built up enough. I would keep reading the series to see where it goes.
Tropes: special-snowflake, all-the-boys-lover-her, good-vs-evil

I really, REALLY wanted to like this book... Unicorn and beautiful cover and all... I even read the second one so it could change my mind... Idea was marvelous, world building could be original with interchangeable dimensions and all kind of magical beings, the main character had all the components of becoming interesting and likeable but I just couldn't get past the delivery: from so much potential I got simplistic writing, non stop giggling, no logic in a plot and irritating lack of details and introduction to the universe author kinda built but really just skimmed over probably thinking 'ok, it had to get done - let's move to 12 year-old level of dialog Yupeee!!' ugh! :(

I can't. This just wasn't good for me at all.

I didn't like the switching POV of the Mc. She's got a second consciousness in her. It was confusing to read and the other consciousness tbh, was annoying.

I didn't like that she attracts her boys so blatantly, like a hardcore insta.
The world building was confusing as well, and the Mc was a bit of a mary sue regardless of how we're 'told' she's tough.

I might come back to it later on but for now, it's not my cup of tea...Beautiful cover though..

This is what I did. Borrowed it on KU, read about 12%, deleted it.
THEN I read raving reviews in the RH group on FB. Re-Borrowed it, read it until the end.
BUT. There's just something about this author...
May it be another double personality? All her books have it. May it be the heroine's poor-me attitude? I just can't stand it. May it be all that unicorn-y things? I don't know. It was just a bit over the top.
BUT I really liked that cliffhanger-end. And Arielle. Bru-REE!

Yet again a brilliant read from this author. The characters are unreal. They make the settings and the plot fuller. Now, don't get me wrong. I love the out of this world (pun intended) world-building and amazing story lines. It's just that the characters are fricking exceptional.

Take Celestia, the fmc, for an example. At such a young age, and no one else to take care of her, she's already facing the ugliness of bullying and stupidity of narrow-minded beings. At 3% into this read, she pretty much broke me already. But then after that fateful day, she's given a chance to rise from the brink of death. And rise, she did. She grew up beautifully; she grew up strong and smart. She was most amazing during those entrance exams! I could practically feel the adrenaline myself while reading her in action.

She broke me again when the guys decided to adopt her into their team. When they realized she could be their everything but she herself felt nothing. I noticed how she mentioned a lot of times how dumbfounded she was that the guys befriended her at all. Unfortunately, for all her remarkable physical & mental strength, her extraordinary magic as a rare unicorn shifter...she had yet to see her current self as she was. And I would be looking forward for her (and the guys to help her) bolster self-worth and emotional strength.

Then there were the guys. As usual, they were all dreamy and kind and funny.

Special mention to the legend, Magnor Rune. I know how Celestia worshiped him since he 'saved' her from herself. But obviously, the old man also found his own salvation in Celestia. it's the most beautiful thing in the book. plus i ugly-sobbed that time when Celestia was leaving for the academy.

PS I don't how Celestia does it...with the parents situation. I know, guys...I know. I know that they are responsible for the greater good and all that jazz. But yeah, it doesn't lessen any of the pain I felt on behalf of Celestia. I kind of resent them for not being there when she needed them the most. And isn't that the tragedy of the century? In my eyes, they will always be the absentee parents. Great (greatest?) authority figures they might be...great parents they weren't. (But I'm not above giving forgiveness if some time they're able to redeem themselves.) Celestia, you rock! Your understanding at such a young age where most needed tender care and affection? I can't even fathom.

PPS Have I told you all how I love Magnor Rune? Greatest man ever!!!

Omg this book was so totally amazing! So much building and releasing so many ups and downs! And all the emotions I went through that I actually feel like I just ran a fast pace marathon.
Yumoyori Wilson had me crying before I had even finished the first chapter! She had me laughing, squealing, growling and crying again, it was a constant cycle all throughout this entire book!
I have to say this amazing book has become one of my absolute favorites and I most definitely look forward to reading book 2!
So if you haven’t figured it out yet, that is a big HECK YES I definitely recommend this book because it’s AWESOME!! Yumoyori Wilson definitely rocks with her story weaving skills! So if you haven’t read any of her work yet then I suggest that you do because you will not be disappointed in your choice!

Unique, fun and sparkly.... but a bit repetitive

Celestia and her split personality (Sia) finds a way to survive her brutal upbringing with the help of a mentor. She gets accepted to take a test to get in to a school that will teach her how to fight the forsaken, creatures made of darkness. This book is how Celestia/Sia gets to this school and how she fights her way to get accepted in to it.

I liked this book because it is different since Celestia is a Unicorn shifter with sparkles, she is powerful and she puts boys/men to shame that deserves it. So yaay for girlpower!

The issue I had with this book is that Celestia reminds me to much of Makoto in Starlight Gods. The language and the insecurity issue the MC feels is repetitive to how it is in Starlight Gods and Earthala series.

So yeah the book is unique but it´s also the same.

However it is funny and made me laugh out loud!
