CW: on page sex scenes, non-con binding spells, violence

If insta-attraction, enemies to lovers and forced proximity is your thing, then this might just be for you! It's fast paced and very easy to read, despite the long, chunky paragraphs seemingly saying otherwise. There are also minor errors in punctuation, tense and whatnot, but they're easily overlooked and nothing another round of proofreading can't fix. I certainly wasn't deterred, and I breezed through the chapters far more quickly than anticipated.

Raelle and Arandir are both interesting characters. Arandir's especially dreamy, which goes to show that the author knows the reader market quite well 😉 There's more to them than what we're initially made to believe, and while I understand that this is a romance first and foremost, I found the backstories and worldbuilding particularly interesting that I wished some of the scenes weren't so rushed.

All in all, To Kill A King is quick fix for fantasy romance lovers and a cozy read this season!

An Amazing Book That Goes Deeper Than The Surface

This was one of my top fantasy romance novels. It was very well written and a short book that stayed interesting from the beginning until the end. The scenes were described very well to allow me to feel like I was there, especially in the beginning where you have the conversation between Elle and Arandir.

You start off with Rapelle who is an assassin and about to fight for her family and kingdom to make things right. You have King Arandir who has all the women wanting to be his queen but somehow he creates a Union Spell with Rapelle. Chapter 4 to me starts to show a different side of Arandir and how the Spell has been working in more than one way through the book. The story has magic, fighting, sad moments and many heart felt moments. A book truly worth reading as you join the two and see how things turn out with the fight between the them.

A nice short read

After reading the synopsis, it immediately hooked me in. While there were still some grammar and spelling errors, it did not deter from the story. There were times when I felt some scenes were a bit rushed, but I enjoyed some of the plot twists and world-building till the very end. Had some decent steamy scenes as well. An overall nice read.
