Olivia, a struggling songwriter, is pressured by her publisher to co-write with the man she despises--mega-star Luke Travis. To complicate things, Luke is holding back a secret.
Olivia is determined to make it as a songwriter, proving her mother wrong. After a reluctant move from L.A. to Nashville, she has all but depleted her savings. To avoid heading back home a failure, she agrees to join Luke on tour to help him write songs for his new album. Luke pursues Olivia romantically, but because they are as different as night and day, she rejects his advances.
Olivia discovers Luke is keeping a secret. Will it change everything? ★★★★★ A hilarious and very romantic comedy book guaranteed to keep you laughing, crying, and turning pages.
This is the perfect book for someone looking for a quick, fun, non-spicy romance! I honestly wasn't expecting to like it as much as I did.
I didn't rate it 5 stars because I felt like the conclusion was a bit rushed and didn't have the best build-up. I'm so glad I won the giveaway for this book! This author just got a new fan 👀
out October 19, 2022. on KU if you have that service. check it out. i love comedies. comedy. general humorous fiction. humorous fiction. fun times. i did laugh. will you?? depends right??! what are you looking for in a book? for me ...humor, laughter, makes me curious, where will head? mysteries are always a favorite and i don't think that you be in that genre pre se (who knew that was how you spelled that, i thought it was presay?? hope you get my meaning there. read. go on.) but it is fun to see what an author can come up with??! forgot to say this was a Goodreads giveaway. fun times. love reading.
In the beginning of this book I really did not like Olivia, and her character felt immature to me. Howver, Luke was a good character, and round about Seattle I started rooting for them. The bus scene was fun.
Holy balls the tension!! The enemies to lover!! I literally ate this story up! And how nice Luke actually was. GODDDDDDD. I LITERALLY SCREAMED DURING THE BUS SCENE. God and for Liv to find out that she got his whole persona all wrong
For me there was way to much details in the book that was unnecessary. Was a good book and I loved how it was the girl that did the chase, but there was a lot more potential to be had with the story. I loved how much research she put into getting the subject right. All in all a good book and I'm glad I read it.
This story had a bit of everything. There was humor, happiness, anxiety, sadness, hope and triumph. Olivia shows us that if you are dedicated, work hard and are not afraid to make a fool of yourself, your dreams can come true.
