It’s been over twelve months since the world was struck by a zombie type of virus. Society collapsed. There’s no power. No internet. Barely any supplies.
The undead lurk the streets, killing anyone unlucky enough to stumble in their path. The lawless thrive and they can be just as dangerous. Then there’s the New Order, a form of government, they stalk the towns and take or murder people.
When the New Order attacked, they took Ness, she’s the only family I have. I vowed to get her back. There’s a group of us, misfit teenagers, and to rescue Ness I will need their help. But some of us barely get along. And I don’t know in this new world if you can ever really trust anyone.
I will have to risk everything to try to save her.
Andy Barnes lives Tasmania with her husband, Nick, and their two girls, Pirri and Inika. When she isn't glued to the keyboard, a steaming cup of coffee and a choc chip cookie by her side, then you can usually find her running her children around, from one thing to another, or outside enjoying nature with the families labradors, Tilly, Caddie and Pepper.
4.5⭐️ Certainly the second book did not disappointed. I just did not give five stars because of the FMC self loathing became a little too much. The “I’m not pretty” “He wouldn’t be with someone like me” or “I’m not worth of love” over and over again becomes very repetitive. But besides this one thing this book was just great.
The FMC still really strong and smart, besides the self loathing, but the poor girl has a terrible mother so some emotional issues are to be expected. MMC is equally great. Side characters got their spotlight as well. The action scenes were really good. The amount of romance was perfect. The slow burn hit the target.
But I do have a complain, please I beg that we can get more books. It feel unfinished and I need more. There are too many things that needs an ending. They going to live in the shack, HEA doesn’t cut because Danny will probably inform their location. Besides Luna has become kind of a legend now. So yes, I definitely need more story so that all loose ends will come together.
WHAT TO EXPECT: ✔️ Friends to Lovers ✔️ Post Apocalyptic ✔️ Slow Burn ✔️ Fighting Zombies ✔️ Action Packed ✔️ Dystopian ✔️ Found Family ✔️ Tough FMC ✔️ Grumpy / Sunshine (She’s the grumpy one) ✔️ One Bed ✔️ Protective Hero

The Lucky Ones Die Twice is the continuation of They Just Won’t Bloody Die. Luna is determined to get Ness back, all while both Luna and Flynn struggle with their attraction to each other, not wanting to cross that friendship line.
Every day is a struggle in this post-apocalyptic world, and it is refreshing to see the FMC is the grumpy/strong one who seems to be leading the pack in surviving, even at her own risk at times. Flynn is a likeable MMC, though frustrating, in his slow-burn approach to handling his attraction to Luna while still trying to protect her whenever he can, just as the author intended. Just like their friends, I just wanted them to figure it out LOL. The story flowed at a good pace and held my interest to the end. I am giving The Lucky Ones Die Twice a rating of 4 / 5 stars.
Holy crap on a cracker that book was incredible. Again, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time reading it and felt so much anxiety for the characters.
The battle scenes are intense and so detailed. You feel like you’re actually there witnessing it all go down.
The book has so many good twists and turns, so many shocks that you won’t see coming. The author is incredible at foreshadowing for these shocks and intense moments.
Also, that ending!!! Omg. My jaw dropped. I NEED more asap! Thank you so much to the author for sharing her stories with the world. I’ll definitely be checking out Andy’s other work and hoping she writes a third book in this amazing series.
Andy Lee has become one of my favourite Authors every single one of her books ive read ive loved, and this series is no different. It felt like there should be another book or im hoping there is to this series as theres so many things that seemed unfinished

Book 2 - was Immensely Suspenseful and enjoyable.
Against all odds to mount a rescue - is wonderful declaration of humanity by the main character.
Only a few individuals or small bands of survivors are left living. The lack of trust & care is rife. But the ability to band together is tested in this storyline, how what changes that feeling. This book was fast paced and easy to read. cheers
