Oh Jaro! All the books from the his series are very good and this One is no exception! Fantastic, the tension between them, taking to be Fated mates but at the same time the temptation to really be something more, to taste, to try... It's delicious. Loved it!

Jaro is the sweet cinnamon roll Ardun Daddy we all need! He’s one strong, dependable, honorable, kind, thoughtful and protective male. But he’s also very hurt after his chosen female found her fated mate and left him, taking their son with her. My heart broke for Jaro because he’s a magnificent male and a wonderful father and didn’t deserve the loneliness and the pain. Luckily, Fate has some very interesting plans for him…
Selia is amazing! Not only is she a badass cop, but she’s also the most loyal friend. She’s so caring and protective of the people she cares about and often puts everyone before herself. Even more, Selia might be tough on the outside, but she has such a tender heart. I loved her so much!
I loved everything that happened between Selia and Jaro. The chaos on Ardun brought them together and they became friends. From the start, their attraction was undeniable but neither was willing to act upon their feelings. Until they are sent on a dangerous undercover mission. I loved those two together - they were a badass team and so protective and honest with each other. And I loved Selia for showing Jaro that, despite everything he’s been through, there is nothing wrong with him and that he’s more than worthy of love. Very soon the lines between the pretend relationship and the actual burning desire start to blur. And when they finally gave in to their undeniable need, the passion they shared was off-the-charts hot! Oh, those deliciously dominant and dirty-mouthed Ardun males with their constant urges to steal women’s panties and give ultimate bliss… Jaro and Selia are so perfect for each other and I couldn’t get enough of them!
In addition, the storyline was fantastic. With each new story, we get a different side of everything that’s happening and all the suspense, danger and unexpected turns of events kept me glued to the pages till the very end. Even more, we get to meet new people, too. And I loved Jaro’s son - he’s such a cutie!
Overall, the story is another spectacular addition to the series. It’s filled with fast-paced action, danger, suspense, betrayals, twists, scorching hot romance and magnificent characters!
I couldn’t put it down and absolutely loved every page of it!

Jaro, the male feline humanoid lead, has been hurt by his chosen mate finding her fated mate and leaving him, taking their son with her. Whilst he gets visitation, it’s not the same and he’s felt abandoned and has chosen not to try again, opting to join the Shahra’s harem. Selia, the female human lead, is strong and assertive and stands up for what people need, unless the person in question is herself, then she tends to just give, sacrificing for others. When the matriarch of Jaro’s people asks them to undertake a spy mission as a couple to hopefully salvage relations between humans and feline humanoids, both willingly volunteer. But, the more time they spend together, the greater the attraction between them becomes, even though Jaro is sure she’s not his fated mate because he hasn’t become overwhelmed by her hormones…
This story is dual POV, well written, and a great addition to the series. I’m really enjoying the overlap between stories in this series and the different perspectives on certain events. I enjoyed both lead characters’ temperaments and personalities, and the significant personal growth of both, especially Jaro. I enjoyed Selia’s strong but vulnerable approach, her willingness to take risks, and her physicality. I enjoyed Jaro’s gentleness, the fact that his son was integral to his choices, and the integrity he demonstrated. I enjoyed the physical attraction between the characters, I adored the intimate scenes and the enjoyment the characters found in each other, and the way those scenes furthered the relationship and the story. I enjoyed the continuation of the overarching plot and found that having read previous stories enhanced my enjoyment of the story, though I do believe it stands alone.

This book is part of the Forbidden Mates of the Ardun series of interconnected standalones. It can be read on its own, but I recommend reading the whole series in order, to really enjoy the overarching plot, and get to know the other characters in their own books...
Jaro and Selia became friends during the event following the closing ceremony. Jaro is the father of a 4-year-old kitten, and his ex-mate left him when she met her true mate. Ever since that heartbreak, he has given up on ever finding his true mate, and thinks swearing into the Sharah's harem is the solution to never feeling lonely again... So even though he is developing feelings for Selia, he ignores them. Selia is falling for Jaro, but she thinks she's in the friend zone and that he's not attracted to her. When the Sharah needs them to go on a secret mission, they both agree, even though they will have to play act as mates: Jaro will have to bite Selia to make it look real... this mission brings them ever closer, and feelings grow. How will they deal with their relationship becoming too real? Will the Sharah punish them? Read to find out!
It's a great new installment in an amazing series! I loooved Selia and Jaro: they're awesome and relatable. Jaro had his heart broken before, but he didn't become grumpy or bitter towards women. He always puts Selia first. I also loved that Selia has trouble c*ming: too often, in romance, men simply look at a woman and boom, she has an org*sm... I recommend this book to anyone who loved a good alien romance... 10/10 and 🌶🌶🌶

Selia and Jaro take off on a mission from the Queen to find Jessa and put a stop to her nefarious wrongdoings. Jaro SEES Selia, strong in actions and body. Her habit of putting others first and considering their feelings, brings out Jaro’s caring and protective nature to the forefront. Selia can see what a catch Jaro is and through to the pain that his sweet and friendly disposition hides.
I got the warm and squigglies with this book. The support and care between the characters, whilst trying to fight their desire for one another was wonderful to read. I got a few lovely surprises from Jaro in this book. Once him and Selia finally gave in to their attraction, the sexual chemistry when it got started... whoo. I want a Jaro. My gosh, his is one sexy male. Loved everything about him. I truly loved the mains in this book.
I give this book 4.8 stars. The only things I didn’t like, was Jaro’s choice that made things difficult for their feelings for each other and that it wasn’t a longer read! This has hands down been my favourite book from Ami.

Four letters... D. I. L. F! Now, I fully understand why single-dad romance is so hyped up NO MATTER what the genre.

Both brought together with chaos, they protected each other, became friends. Laid out their card on the table with honesty. The close proximity makes things even difficult to deny each others attraction. The Queen gave them a mission that will involve fake - relationship, bite to mark as mate but One taste is not even enough. They did try their best to stay on friend zone but as the Queen said to Jaro, even the matriarch can't stop the true mate. On top of that burning desire to mate, Jaro and Selia managed to execute such a dangerous mission. I love strong characters. This might sound very bias but Selia and Jaro is my new favourite couple. They're both kick ass!
From Chapter 18 - 24 the best chapter. The action, claiming, the restoration of peace, the reward, the heat! the claiming! the barbs! The happy ending!

Ami has added another amazing story to this series. I love reading all the different POV's regarding the incident and where it takes each couple in this series. In this story we get glimpses of previous couples and that is fun.
Jaro and Selia are friends but both hide their attraction. Jaro is to be sworn into the Harem and Selia wants to support him. They are sent on a dangerous mission, in a spacecraft for two. Oh does that ever lead to the expected steam. A hot quote that I had to reread - quite the impact.

Our author takes us through her action packed, page turner full of steam, doubt, support, danger, plot twists, betrayal and so much more.
I love her wonderful characters and locations whether very dark or light. Great story.

Jaro is hiding the hurt of his chosen mate finding her Fated and leaving him after they had a son together behind a serious exterior. Not only did he lose the female he thought of his but he also then lost his son as well, all of his family. This has left him vey broken but for all that he is a very sweet, kind and protective male. It takes him by surprise to start caring for one of the human females when on a mission. It seems that she is slowly erroding his walls, ones he wasn't entirely aware of. Selia is a female cop and she is also one of the best people to have on your side. She is fiercely loyal of those she considers to be worth it and she doesn't take long to recognise that Jaro is worth it. The thing is when the mission is over will things go back to how they used to be?

Absolutely amazing! I just loved Jaro and was so happy to see him challenged to consider his future by Selia. Both had their own baggage and found in each other exactly what they needed. Their connection was intense and real, their passion was super hot, their love palpable. The storyline, once again, wove so much together about the Ardun beings and human beings relationship with great plot extensions from other novels in this series. I am blown away! Love this and cannot wait for Ikkad’s story. So well done.

This latest addition to the Forbidden Mates of the Arden Royal Guard is probably my favorite. Jaro is a damaged warrior who had a previous relationship resulting in a child, while his significant other walks away from him for a fated mate. His family life is no more, yet he embarks on a mission with a human! And guess who is his fated mate! High intrigue and a hero with a child grace this story…I loved it! The characters are solid and the plot is filled with surprises. Download and enjoy❤️❤️

This time the story starts a bit ahead from the past books. Jaro is a fun yet very hurt character. His journey is not the same as the others yet it filled my heart.
I’m glad that these stories have a HEA. I can’t wait to read more in this series. Catboi warriors are da best!

Neither Jaro or Selina feel worthy of love. He not expecting it to ever happen, commits himself to a loveless situation. She can’t understand why everyone but her is finding love. She thinks it might be Jaro, but why would he be interested when there’s so many others so much worthier? It’s this self depreciating attitude that’s keeping them apart.

This book has a great storyline, with the characters being heartbroken and stubborn and still a happy ending. I can't wait to read more from this author. I received this book as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.

I’ll admit it. When Jaro took his vow I was pretty sure he was going to break my heart. And several times he almost did. He was so lonely and hurt from his past. That’s actually something most of these Ardun males have in common. They all have sad pasts that led them to complete in the games to begin with. Selia and Jaro are truly perfect for each other. So sweet together you can’t help but cheer for them. Fortunately I got to the end with my heart still in one piece but it was close there. No spoilers, just lots of action and emotions. I can’t believe this is the second to the last book in the series. I’ve loved it so much I don’t want it to end. Ami has assured me that while the series will end with Ikkad and Anya’s love story, there will still be plenty of future books starring my beloved Ardun males. That thought makes me want to purr.
