Marcel takes a big risk by telling Sofia his greatest sin. Can he trust her to keep it a secret? Or maybe it’s time to confess his crime and submit to whatever punishment Edna deems appropriate? Three miserable centuries of living with guilt and remorse are long enough. Once the dust settles on the Kra-ell crisis, he will gather the courage to put himself at the court’s mercy.
This series is huge and so complex, it’s well written gripping story and I can’t wait to read what next the author has in store for us. It is well worth the read.
I really enjoy reading The Children of the Gods series, I love the newest characters and finding out who the newest fated mates will be, but I also want to be updated on all the other couples. The storylines are so interesting especially learning more about the Kra'ell and the Gods history, Ive read all 67 books and can't wait to see what the future holds for Annani's clan, will anymore surviving God's come to light?
This was a the third book for Marcel and Sophia wrapping up a lot of their initial storyline, however, we are not done with this couple. Most of the last portion of this book focuses on getting to Jade and freeing the Kra-ell under Igor’s control. Not only do we get this action, but we also get some more Kra-ell/the Gods history. There is so much more to this set of storylines that I’m hopeful it will take us through the next few couples stories. Can’t help but continue to love this saga.
I was fortunate to read an advanced copy of this book, but my thoughts on the story are my own.
𝑻𝒓𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒔: Paranormal romance, fated mates 𝑹𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈: 🌟🌟🌟🌟💫 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒄𝒆: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 𝑷𝑶𝑽: Multiple, both the main characters, secondary characters & previous main characters
The book count for this series may seem daunting since this is the 67th book, thankfully the way IT Lucas organizes the series is by having the books are set in 3-4 books in a mini-series that revolves around a main couple. There are often side characters & couples that you will see develop along side the main couple. The series does have an overarching storyline that continues through all the books so it is best to read them in order. These books are also told from the POV of multiple individuals, even many of the side characters or members of previous highlighted coupled. Each chapter clearly identifies who is telling their story so it is easy to follow.
This is the third and final book for Marcel and his mate Sofia & I am really excited about where this series has started to go. This book gave so much more insight to the Kra-ell and even the history of the gods. I can’t wait to see where it will go next.
Dark Gambit Reliance KU 347 pgs **** 12/7/22 Marcel & Sofia
4 stars. Loved this book. This book is more about getting to Jade than anything else which is a great break for me because it is exciting! All the main characters play a role in this great escapade, and I loved it. Marcel & Sofia came near the end of their story but there’s still some too come, maybe in the next set of stories. Finally got to meet Jade and I sort of liked her thus far but her story is yet to come. The Guardians finally got some action which is good since they haven’t had any in the past 65 books! I have fallen in love with Tovan but am tired of Mia having to keep waiting on her legs to grow back however, Tovan loves to carry her around. She fusses about it but he doesn’t care. Good final book to Marcel & Sofia.
Marcel and Sophia’s story line is great and I love seeing each of the characters find their true love mates! But what I love most about the Children of The Gods series is the on going story line, the fact that none of the prior love matches are just forgotten but part of the entire series as a whole. Because everyone is important! I love this series so much and no matter what I am reading as soon as the next book is available I drop it to read this series! I still can’t wait for the Goddess to find her lost love but in the mean time finding love for all the other clan members is amazing!
Phenomenal as always from the first in "The Children of the Gods" series to this #67
Phenomenal as always from the first in "The Children of the Gods" series to this #67!!! Each and every book in this series is one of the absolute most exciting, romantic, Sci-fi adventure series of this century! Each and every book is full of unique twists and unexpected turns that keeps me on the edge of my seat, heart racing, adrenalin pumping, alluring, intriguing, and steamy romance that make these stories like a virtual vacation from real life. I love them all and hope they keep on coming!!!
Bravo I.T., this book was very well written and love when the Clan plans and executes a rescue. Jade is a fascinating character and can't wait to read about her love interest. Marcel and Sophia have finally bonded and working on her transition into being immortal. Should be interesting to see since she is a quarter Kra-ell. Can't believe we are up to book 68 in this series because you can't put these books down. I usually finish reading them in one day. Keep up the good work I.T., you are awesome!
The misuse of scriptures in these books leave me flat. The stories are good and for the most part well written, with that being said writing about an alien culture and hiding them among humans was all that was needed. Keeping the Bible out of this, would have made the stories even better. That being said other than that, I still like Kalugal best of all. Syssi drives me crazy, but she can level Kian out, love Amanda and Dalhu and I believe Annani is completely ignorant of where she comes from.
I simply cannot get enough of this series, it is epic, so well written and I fall in love with each sets main characters. Another great read that has meant I've done nothing but look at my kindle for 8 hours today, utter bliss and I cannot wait for the next installment.....how it's possible for 1 supremely talented author to do this many books in a series, so quickly and not lose the magic is beyond me!
Wish I had a job reading books for a living. I love the fact that when I read I can see in my mind the story being told like watching television.
This book was really interesting to read. It makes me wonder if what’s happening could really be something that could have happened. Yes I like to think that it is possible, but part of me knows it isn’t possible. Ok I’m ready for book 68. Love the series!
There has been plenty of talk bc about Jade, and some brief encounters, told various things about her, but this was the first time we actually spent time with her. Her agreement with Tom to tell him what she knew about. Their history was quite enlightening. In her version. The gods certainly were not the nicest. It’ll be interesting to see how this all progresses. I’m looking forward to the upcoming books!
Not my favorite book of the series, I don’t care for Sophie’s character, she is a little bit self absorbed. I really hate evil villains like Igor. I’m to empathetic and the edge of danger gets to me. I’m trying to get to a point to read the next three books. I know things work out but it is still hard to read. I love all the other characters with an exception to a few. This is still a good story none the less.

I started this series a year ago and couldn't put my reader down. I have read every book and can't wait for the next one. I always preorder and when this book showed up on my reader yesterday, I had to finish it today. I eagerly await the next book and can't wait! I am heavily invested in the characters and want to know what happens and if they catch Igor!
This series just keeps getting better and better. We're 67 booms in and its still as exciting and intriguing as it was at the start of this series. I can wait to hear what's going to happen in the next book... Watching Jade finally get her revenge, them finding the one male who will show her the meaning of love, is going to be awesome!
I'm enjoying this book very much. I'm glad to see where Marcel and Sophia's relationship is headed. The interactions of all of the characters Is fascinating. I love the story line all throughout all of these books. As always I cannot wait for the next book to come out. Do yourself a favor and start at the beginning you won't regret it!
Another great book in the saga. Once again I had a hard time putting down the book and finished it way too fast once again. I am enjoying the continuation of these characters, their stories, and love having them pop in and out throughout the story. Just keep them coming, please.
With the clan gearing up and getting ready to embark on another dangerous mission, this time to save the Kra-ell, hybrids and humans trapped in the compound by Igor - will Turner's plan work and can they actually trust Jade... and back in the village does Darlene finally make it through her transition... As always I T Lucas- great story...
Couldn't stop reading, look forward to the next one! enjoyed all the story lines in this series.
I feel this series is for adults only, due to the sexual intrigue. It has great story lines in each book. I have enjoyed reading and learning about all the characters. Couldn't put any of the books down, always wanting to know what happens next!
Dark Gambit Reliance is book 67 of I.T. Lucas' The Children Of The Gods series. The story unfolds wonderfully. Jade is shown in a less tyrannical light. Marcel and Sofia's relationship moves right along. Toven and Mia also become more useful to the clan and the Kra-ell. I can't wait to see what's next as the characters integrate more.
Wow! Finally some of the gods' history! A lot of things make more sense. Oddly,bi found I actually had to re-read that scone before I could move to hook 68. Apparently it was just too much new information for me to retain while waiting for the next trilogy to begin. Can't wait for more!
I.T. Lucas has done it again! Continuing the storyline pulling characters together, knitting them seamlessly together, I never even give poor Finus a 2ND thought but seems like "The Fates" or Lucas certainly has.
Loving the series, the characters, the humour weather dry or not you never know what's going to happen next.
With two transitions and a compound taken over. Jade gets some revenge on her captures after 20 yrs in captivity. Now will they capture Igor or not. Cliffhanger for next series but great ending for the trilogy of the Gambits

I’ve been hooked since book 1… every additional installment has drawn me further in. New characters, travel and hidden dangers. This author has a unique perspective and draws you into her fantasy world. You will enjoy the journey…
This is the best trilogy in a while. Lots of action and progression of the story. And it good to finally get some answers about how they all ended up on Earth. Presumably with Jades story we will hear even more
I've been a fan for a bit and this story just keeps getting better and better. So many questions answered and the so many more came to replace them! I'm definitely down for this!
I tried to make it last longer but its just too good. I needed to know what happened. Now, I have to wait for the next book. 😵 I love these characters & their world. It definitely keeps me enthralled. 😀
This is the conclusion of Marcel and Sofia's story. I don't like to give spoilers but I will say Jade and the kra-ell are in this story and we learn a lot about their and the Gods history. Another great addition to this series.
