Rimani sempre vicino a me".
Oh finalmente Kowloon sembra tornato in pista! Bello bello.
Finally, some answers. It's as though the mangaka suddenly remembers she can't string her readers along forever and the story has to actually move forward. Frankly, it's too little too late. Like I've said before, these reveals raise more questions than give any answers. Unfortunately, I'm committed to hate-reading until the very end so I will most definitely pick up the next volume.
The artwork is nice and the love story is actually pretty cute and the mysteries getting deeper on what’s actually happening it’s interesting to try to figure out what Reiko Really is
this might be my favourite volume so far. so many twists, new characters and we finally found out reiko's cause of death. i love this series more and more with each volume.
This series keeps getting better with each volume! Finally, we’re getting more answers, though they come with even more questions.
I love the characters—they're all intriguing, especially Kudou. What does he know? What is his purpose, or rather, his decision? What is he after—feeding his nostalgia or something deeper? He’s definitely my favorite character. The contrast between his sadness and his moments of happiness makes him very relatable. While I want him to just be someone trying hard to live day by day, working through his grief, there are moments when I can’t help but distrust him a little. Why? I’m not entirely sure. Maybe it’s because, despite knowing what Kowloon really is, and choosing to live there, he still won’t allow himself to get closer to Kujirai. I can’t figure out if it’s his guarded heart that unsettles me or the fact that he puts himself in such a vulnerable position over and over again.
The same can be said about the rest of the characters. It’s never completely clear who is a villain and who isn’t. Everyone has secrets… everyone seems to have ulterior motives for who they are and why they are where they are. I love the intrigue, though it kills me to have to wait for each new volume! Hahaha.
I can say for now that I absolutely love Miyuki and Gwen, and I’m rooting for them as well, even though I thought they were going to be completely different characters when they were first introduced. What a gem of character development and storytelling this manga is.
I can’t wait to see how things will play out with each character, and whether some of the non-villains will turn out to be something we could never have foreseen, like with Miyuki and Gwen.
As for the protagonist, Kujirai, what can I say… I’ve been rooting for her since page one! If you’re a fan of romance and mystery, this is definitely for you. If not, read it anyway! It's easily one of the best mangas out there—no doubt! <3

This reviews up to Vol 7 - 12, which was the latest available at my library.
The manga turned into a bit of a scifi premise, which I figured it was headed towards anyway, but to see it turn out makes me feel a bit uneasy. The scifi portions of it is fairly light, and there's a bit of a central mystery, but I'm afraid the turns are just not very interesting. The authoress is either slow playing the central mystery, or have run out of ideas to move the plot forward.
I think fundementally, its mostly that the background is interesting, but is not strong enough to be a central character in the series. The charactesr are interesting but not so much so that they can make up for the lack of a plot. i kinda now know why no one can make a "slice of life" comic or series last more than 5 chapters or so. Real life really is that boring! Its designed to be! If real life was exciting, we'd probably end up dying or something. Boring means you live another day. seeking excitement sometimes means risking your life. Biologically speaking, no long lasting species is really risk seeking because it just doesn't make reproductive sense.
With that said, I'll continue reading becuase the premise is still intriguging and I want to see how the authoress spins this. I don't have great hopes and still think "After the Rain" is a much better book.

We (very slowly) learn a little more about the original Kowloon City, and the duplicate inhabitants, but not enough to be fully satisfying to me. Reading this one volume at a time is maddening enough, I can't imagine reading this one chapter at a time.
I like that Kujirai is .
The little hints about the sinister Hebinuma group is starting to bother me because we have no concrete information about it after seven volumes so far!
Well that pretty sums it up, this story is simply amazing !! The mystery, the characters ohh the famous city are all so well developed by now that I just want to keep reading this story over and over again. It is a really good mystery with some solid groundwork already laid out. I suspect it will only get more interesting from here onwards.
Still fun and engaging, we get to discover a few more things about what's going on with Reiko and Kowloon.
However, it did feel like taking half a step back, in that the narrative got a bit confusing with some dual characters (aka, I'm not sure anymore if there's actually two of them at the same time, so differently they behave on occasion).
