It is estimated that as of now, about ONE-THIRD of the population of the United States is obese and the life expectancy of our children is less than that of their parents!
Medical News Today reports that Researchers indicate that the United States has about 81 million people overweight and 113 million are obese! That is a total of 194 million people overweight or obese in a population of 338 million. That is over 57% of the population and growing all the time. (Pun intended.)
Type 2 Diabetes, stroke, heart disease and cancer are just a few of the diseases related to obesity. Clogged arteries are showing up in our children.
It is estimated that 719,000 knee and hip replacement surgeries are performed yearly.
The American Heart Association released Heart and Stroke Statistics for 2021. According to the report, cardiac arrest remains a public health crisis. There are more than 356,000 "out of hospital" cardiac arrests annually in the United States, and nearly 90% of them are fatal. More than 2 million stents are placed each year.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released the statistics for the United States and estimates that more than 130 million adults are living with diabetes or pre-diabetes in the US. That is more than one-third of the population! Type 2 diabetes among children is climbing worldwide!
This should strike terror into the heart of every caring parent.
How did this happen and what can we do about it? That is what this book is about. In this book, I will take you on a journey to see how my husband was able to avoid knee surgery and regain his health through a change in food alone.
I share my recipes with you and the things I use in my kitchen. I share with you the method I have devised so that I only need to cook about one weekend a month.
I also share the "History of Food," why and how I believe we got this way. This isn’t rocket science, so, anyone can understand it. If you are sick and are wondering if a change in diet could help, you may find your answers here. This is a different perspective and one I think you will enjoy. I sincerely hope you will join me on this journey.
We can save our children. Wemust save our children.
