You can read this collection in a few hours or in a couple of days. It depends on your mood. But I suggest you to read the first part, think about it. Then you can finish with the last one and feel the change.

Words have power: power to make you feel every line in this poem, power to remind you you're doing good on your healing process, power to remind you that's not the end of it.

I highly recommend this one!

Firstly I would like to thank @byhopemoore for sending me a copy of her poetry book to review! 💙

This poetry was so raw, vulnerable and true when it comes to heartbreaks. The pain, frustration and heart break was clearly expressed in these poems. there were so many amazing metaphors and imagery used in these poems

I did however find a lot of the poems a bit repetitive and I haven’t dealt with any heartbreak or break ups for a really long time so it was exactly relatable or needed for during this time. But I do highly recommend this powerful poetry book for those whom have been heartbroken. 🌊

Revolutionary! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have followed Hope on Instagram for quite a while and I have always enjoyed her poetry. It is rich in metaphors and imagery and is consistently striking. When I picked up this collection, I knew it would be undoubtedly fantastic.

At the time I was going through heartbreak and I really needed something to articulate just how I was feeling. This poetry collection did just that. In this collection, Hope takes the reader on a journey of healing which reminds them that, in actuality, healing is one of the most beneficial and revolutionary things a human can do to soothe their soul and calm their conscience. The language is beautiful, the descriptions are unique and lively and the emotive nature of the language made me feel so seen. So appreciated. So acknowledged.

I would give Hope’s novel five stars because I just couldn’t put it down. I finished it so quickly and even dog-eared the pages containing my favourite poems to come back to.

Overall, wow! I am never going to stop coming back to this collection and I promise you won’t be able to either if you read. So impressive and so revolutionary! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book is so beautiful, powerful, and heartbreaking. Reading it felt like an intimate reflection of my own life and I couldn't put it down. Also, there are so many poems inside this book, bigger than I expected, in a positive way.

It made me feel things that I thought would never be felt again. The poems are so well written, they will touch you deep inside your soul. Hope Moore is a brilliant poet and you will find yourself hit by an emotional tsunami while reading this book.

Breaking Waves is a must read for anyone looking to heal their broken heart. It's a perfect read for any poetry lover who needs a heartbreak fix!

I read this book a month ago and still have it in my heart, it was one of those that stuck with you for a while, especially it was my second official poetry book i have ever read and it was just my style of writing, delivering the thought with simple words but for sure so deep that really hold your soul so tight.
for sure this book has taught me alot about the healing process and how to get through the hardship and how to see the brighter side and just focus on the bright side and what have you learned through the process of the heart break, cz for me for sure i have really learned alot about how relationship works and how it can be damaging and toxic sometime even when you have thought it might have been the right one, cz nothing ever last forever and when ever you feel that you are being used it is better to just walk past this relationship even though it hurts like hell, just do it and ended it all, make a book out of your pain and gain some money instead cz no one ever deserve the pain we might feel with them, we need our freedom and our senses too , so never compromise yourself for person who doesn't deserve you..

here are some of my fav poems :

bUT HERE ARE SOME OF THEM

Blissfully

At a point, I felt blissfully lost.
I was discovering myself again. With every wrong left turn, Each step still felt right. Wherever I was going,
It wasn’t back into your life.

Saved

I slowly became empowered. By him and the heartache.
I dug myself out of the ruins. I took control of my fate.
My power saved me.
Self-love saved me. Wisdom saved me. Without the heartache, Where would I be?

Hope

I found comfort in pain. I was stuck in the storm, Drowning my soil, Preventing my growth. Until I found happiness, And fell in love with hope.

Disaster

What a beautiful disaster it is, To fall blindly in love.
To bear the weight of heartbreak. And bloom like a rose,
When you were once withering.

Lie

You lie like its air. As if you need it,
To simply breathe.
But no, you need it,
To keep control.
You buried the truth.
So I’d stay with you.
Lying is your control.
Why lose me?
When you're a lie away, From paradise.

Break

We were so in love,
We made cupid jealous. Somehow, we grew thorns. Our words became harsher, Our hearts drifted further,
And our minds needed a break.

Gaslighting

You called my concerns childish.
You blamed me and my feminine.
I’m thinking too much.
I’m being too emotional.
You were the king of gaslighting.
My mind was your throne.

Candlelight

You became darker, As I became lighter.
I thought you’d follow, Soaking up all my energy. So we could both shine,
Like a Diamond ring. But you didn’t.
You fell deeper into the dark. No matter how many times,
I set fire to my wick,
You blew out my candlelight.
