Though the Mage witch, Skye, has a gentle heart, demonic forces have enslaved her, forcing her to kidnap Paenther, a powerful and dangerous Feral Warrior. Even chained and naked, Paenther is a cunning prisoner who seduces her, body and soul, turning captive into captor.
Paenther's pride demands revenge against the enchantress who emerged from the deep woods like a sensual vision and enthralled him, even as she makes his body burn with passion. Despite his fury over her treachery, Skye's gentle beauty calls to his soul, calming the wild chaos within him, and stealing his heart. But when evil threatens, Paenther and Skye's only chance at survival is to trust in one another...and the power of love.
Pamela Palmer is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Feral Warriors shape-shifter series, the Esri Series, and (coming in 2012) the Vamp City series. Pamela now calls the suburbs of Washington, D.C. home.

I am having a really hard time rating this book. I have up til now liked the Ferals. I am not one for public sex...not sex in a public place (elevator, bathroom, etc) but sex 2 feet from others, while they watch. Not unless it's an erotic story. This is paranormal romance, and I was surprised in the first book that the heroine had to have sex with her male while the other Ferals all touched her. Then in the second, the same thing, but here, in the third book...wow. The hero has been tortured and raped by mages in his past, several hundred years ago, and Paenther still holds that anger and hatred of mages. Who wouldn't, right?
Enter Skye, a mage who enchants him with sex, and then uses sex to capture power to give to her master, the cruel soulless Birik. Well, even though Skye is as much a captive as Paenther, she still doesn't do anything to free herself. We find out that Birik started raping her at age 8 and allowed the other sorcerers to do the same until she started using her powers for evil. Okay, that's awful, really, I mean my God. But then she rapes Paenther. okay...just because the male is being taken against his will, doesn't make it any less rape.
And meanwhile we love Skye for her gentle innocent self, but still...
Skye finally helps Paenther escape, and he drags her with him, but Birik can punish her with beatings and torure without being anywhere near her. So the Ferals eventually trust her, and she can mate with Paenther but it felt hollow. I liked Skye, I liked Paenther, I believed their love for each other. but the rape scenes, while not violent, and Paenther "wanting" it, but still saying no...I mean I want to write Pamela Palmer a letter and tell her "No means no!"
and I may be overreacting, but it's hard for me to see a girl who was beaten and raped for 40 yrs or so willingly rape another.
I think the rest of the story was good, I mean I read the whole book, and I liked the main driving action, but I just can't get past the whole raping him for power for a mage she knows has no soul, and will never keep his word? Come on, Skye. Also, she is able to use her enchantress powers to save Vhyper but not Foxx? I don't buy it. It didn't flow. So I have difficulty rating this book, and I gave it 2.5 because I read the whole thing, and it kept me interested, and I like the characters.
Passion Untamed had everything wrong I’ve come to expect from this series.
- Horrible covers: It’s so clear he’s wearing a wig! And that pose! I imagining he’s saying…"Boo!"
- Hero (or heroine) kidnaps the heroine (or hero): Another kidnapping! How swell! In this case though, the heroine is the one that grabs the hero and keeps him against his will. This was the worst kidnapping of them all because the guy was in chains and raped to boot (when a man says ‘no’, it’s NO, even if he has an erection.) I wasn’t as furious as in that other book with male rape because in this case, Skye was clearly under duress. But I found it weird that when Paenther attempted to do the same the author called it rape (he didn’t go through with it) but when Skye actually raped Paenther, the author just said she ‘forced herself on him’. Why the change in language? If it was rape in one case, it was definitely called rape in the other.
- Public sex: This wasn’t especially sexy either.
- Heroines get horribly hurt: Poor Skye was used as a punching bag, she was molested by the villains, and had magic curses that sprang every night. She also had the worst backstory I’ve seen in a long time, but I wasn’t very touched by her. Probably because she gave in to the villain – I know she was in a horrible situation but I would have liked her to at least have a spark of defiance.
- The other Ferals want to kill the heroine (literally): Everybody gave Skye the stink eye until she does something that proves she’s trustworthy. Although I liked the message “judge a person by herself, not by her race”, I thought they gave in too easily, specially because she was messing with their animals.
- Hero has annoying nickname for heroine: Paenther calls her ‘Beauty’, even in dangerous situations. It made me think of her as a mare or a loyal dog.
- Villains kicks the Feral’s asses…until the last minute: These Feral warriors are so overmatched by the villains! The villains capture them easily and seem to have all the cards. It’s a miracle the Ferals win at the end, because their plans always suck and go terribly awry.
On top of everything, I felt that given Paenther’s backstory (he had been kidnapped, tortured and raped by a female Mage before), it should have taken a lot longer for him to trust Skye. I know he had flashes of distrust now and then, but still, I thought he came around a bit too easily.
If I felt this one was so weak, why am I continuing the series, you may ask? 1. Rob Shapiro is kicking ass with the narration. I love how all the Ferals’ voices had stayed consistent from the beginning. 2. I like steamy PNR in audio and this definitely fits the bill. 3. I got the audios free from the library. 4. I don’t take it very seriously so my emotions aren’t engaged – I usually laugh at the stupid shenanigans instead of being enraged. 5. I’m intrigued by Jag’s story. He’s so freaking annoying that I sort of like him. I really want to know what’s his deal.
So I can’t say I recommend this but it’s sort of working for me.
I have listened to the first two books and didn’t really think I needed to listen to them to understand the jist of this one. And in a way I was right.
For the most part series like this repeat the main plot points so I caught up alright.
I really enjoyed Skye and Paenther’s story. They both need saving and they end up saving each other it was pretty intense. The fight scenes were incredible they got my heart pumping.
Skye’s compassion and empathy shine through the pages she really is the star of this book.
I LOVED the narration Rob Shapiro is a favorite of mine.
Most people give this series a bad rap because of the charters names. Well, to me they are at least easy to pronounce unlike most books.
This whole series has lots of rituals and most of them involve sex.. I myself like the different rituals in this series, to me its separates them form the rest of shape-shifting series or at least none I have came across.
I normally steer away from books with quite a bit of abuse. I don’t like pain or, to read of pain in animals or humans, this book has both. If you can get by the abuse please try this book it kept me turning the pages just to see what happens next, most books like this I just put down and never pick back up but Palmer keep things interesting and doesn’t drag.
Skye is a mage or a witch she is the enchantress of animals, she has been abused by Birik form the young age of eight you say why did she not leave well, she has tied over and over he holds something over her, you have to read to find out what that would be I can‘t give everything away. But Birilk has Skye to kidnap Peanther so, he can become more powerful, That’s a little bit of Skye side of the story..
Peanther’s animal is a panther of course, but he has himself been abused by a mage named Ancreta more less tortured is more like it.. Because of the mage Ancreta he is losing his panther this is where Skye comes in she can help him connect back to him again, but it’s a long journey before she gets to do just that.
This book was a fantastic read for me.. I will be waiting for Vipers book, I think Palmer will make it very interesting especially after reading this one.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I liked this book, I really did. I liked Paenther and Skye and their romance was sweet and hot. But the names kept tripping me up. I kept thinking I was reading a paranormal romance starring the Thundercats. Ho!
This series needs to be read in order. Paenther was kidnapped in the previous book. The author does a little rehashing to let the readers know how Paenther ended up the Mage’s prisoner, but there is more detail in Obsession Untamed. Paenther loathes the entire Mage race, with good reason. He and another Feral was once held prisoner by one. This Mage tortured him and two of his fellow warriors. He had two very simple goals then, escape and vengeance, now he has those same goals again. He is still in pursuit of Vhyper and the Daemon Blade. Skye is a Mage and the readers learn very quickly that she has little control over her life. I do not believe one can call what she has a life. She has been abused and her magical ability has been used and exploited since she was a small child. I believe that it was the events in Skye’s life that made the romance of this book seem pushed. For someone who had been tortured and should require years of therapy she fell in bed and in love with Paenther too quickly and way too easily. I had this feeling that she saw the idea of a better life and jumped for it. One of my favorite things in a romance is the pursuit. I like reading the how the characters chase and woo each other. I didn’t get that with Paenther and Skye. Their relationship just seemed like a convenient means to an end. I did enjoy the fact that as a reader I was given some history as to some why’s that I have been very curious over. The readers learn a lot of Mage history with this book. In the previous two books we know that the Mage are behind most of the problems that the Feral’s have to face, with the exception of the Draeden & Daemon Blade.
*****spoiler/warning/heads up*****
Couple of the sex scenes were a huge turn off for me. One of the characters did not consent and it involved a blood ritual. This creeped me out, it involved an unwilling person & an animal blood covered penis. I have read some other reviews for this book and it seems that other people read the scene differently.
“Rapture Untamed” by Pamela Palmer: The human world could never understand who and what lives among them, if they did…Goddess help them!
Ferals can shape-shift into animals, whether it be big cats, an eagle, wolf or snake to protect the human race from the Mage, Draden and Daemons—beings that are hell-bent on destroying the humans and Ferals.
Jag (Jaguar) the bad-ass Feral who never has a kind word for anyone, finds joy in annoying Olivia, a Draden-kissed woman. More than beauty, she possesses very special powers that she has had to keep secret for centuries. If anyone found out, she would surely be destroyed by either of the tribes whether it be Feral, Mage, Draden or Daemon since she is dangerous to all.
Unfortunately, Jag figures out what she is and since she’s never given him a second glance—something that causes him great angst, despite the fact that he loves a challenge—he decides to use his newly discovered information to make her his “slave”. If she chooses to defy him as she has done all along, he will tell the others of her lineage and she would be destroyed either by death or ostracizing her causing her to live eternity, alone.
Things progress differently than Jag ever imagined they would and things shift faster and stronger than he can from man to animal form.
This book was brilliant! I thoroughly enjoyed this and coming from a devout fantasy novel hater, that says a lot about this book. I love it when someone proves me wrong—especially about myself. Palmer took me through a gamut of emotions at every turn. I found myself smiling and my heart thumping uncontrollably in all the right places, making it impossible to put this book down. Bravo!

This, the third of the Feral Warriors series, has sexy 6'6" tall warrior shapeshifters, mages, an archsorcerer, daemon wraiths, an unwanted attraction, a loss and love found - everything a good paranormal romance could need.
Paenther takes the lead this time when he is captured by a mage witch again - much to his chagrin - he's gotta stop letting little paenther lead him around. She's the enemy but she somehow eases the rage he's lived with for about 300 years.
Skye, the heroine, is a young mage with an affinity for the Earth's creatures who is being forced to use her gift for evil by a power hungry mage who has kept her captive, beaten and abused for 30+ yrs. He's broken her will but not her spirit.
Helping to create the darkness of the first half of the book, Vyper is found to be enchanted and Foxx is acting rather strange as well. On the other hand, there is a really cute scene where the women in the house bond over episodes of "Bewitched".
Even though this is a very good story, it is my least favorite of the series but that is also a credit to Palmer's ability to create characters that are so real the reader cares so much for them. My heart just kept breaking as I read more about Skye and her treatment. Skye's character is such a good and strong willed woman.
In this one, I cried sad tears and I cried happy tears in between being "hot and bothered" {grin}. Because of this, I think Palmer decided to give us not one, but two HEAs with this book.
Paranormal romance, urban fantasy and shapeshifter fans shouldn't miss this book or the series.
This one really hits all the emotional cords. Skye's enthrallment of Paenther brings back memories of the first time he is capture by a witch and what she does to him causes a rift between him and Skye for most of the book. Even when he starts to fall for her after escaping their imprisonment, Paenther has a difficult time fulling trusting her because of what she is. To me Skye was more the victim here. She was taken away by the evil Mage Birik when she was just 8 years old because of her strong powers. He did horrible things to her for over 4 decades and I wanted Birik taken down more for Skye than Paenther. After experiencing nothing but cruelty from Mages, the other Ferals are very hostile towards Skye. It was sweet the way that Paenther stood up for her against men he considers his own brothers. These two had a rocky journey to be together from the start and in the end it made it that much more enjoyable.
The Ferals take a hard, personal hit in Passion Untamed I didn't really expect. I'm curious to see how they'll recover from it as well as seeing how a certain Feral will act now that the darkness in him is gone. So far, each book in this series is better than the previous one. This is a very addicting PNR series.
I have really enjoyed this series. Here's my breakdown:
The pros: * The hero and heroine had such great chemistry - I truly felt their connection and appreciated it not feeling like insta-love * Smoking hot sex and passion! * A fast paced plot
The cons: * I tired of everyone constantly being suspicious the heroine - Paenther continually compared her to Ancreta (a witch from his past that had hurt him.) All of the other Feral Warriors were just as bad with Skye. Not only did they doubt her, but they were just MEAN to her without actual cause. It really started to piss me off as the story progressed and she was nothing but honest. It just seemed to be too much when she had really given them no reason to be so distrustful of her as a person. At a point I was hoping she would break free from that judgmental group and find happiness on her own! I was glad when she was finally accepted by all. * I feel its overpriced at its current listing price of $7.99 - it felt more like it should have been around $2.99-$3.99 range.
Overall, I really liked this read and will defiantly check out the rest of this series.
As book 3 in this Feral Warriors series, I enjoyed it so much more than book 2 (only problem I had in book 2 was the gory stuff against humans, was too much violence). This book really gave more history in different ways to the Feral Warriors and the Mages and what their history. Skye and Paenther's story. Skye was so refreshing in her demeanor and how she looked at life. The trauma she went through and still did, made her stronger without making her look like she's super 'human' (mage) than some other heroines I've read in books. This was so refreshing to read. Paenther's history with two Feral Warriors during this story, gave so much more of the past and theirs stories as well. I guess this 3rd book of the Feral Warrior series by Pamela Palmer just left me with a great feeling! Now I think we have to wait 8 months (June 2010) for Jag's story)!
This is the third installment of the Feral Warriors series and it doesn't disappoint at all.
We meet BP and Skye. BP being the black panther shifter and feral warrior and Skye being a mage enchantress.
This book provided real insight to the mage world and dark power they are using and how they are able to source it. We learn more about the second in command of the feral warriors and learn why he is second in command with his never leave a man behind attitude.
Skye and BP are constantly drawn together even though they face the trouble of her being a MAGE and him being a feral warrior and they fall head of heels in love and are willing to gamble everything for one another.
In the end we see a fabulous fight scene and get our HEA with BP & Skye.
This was a fabulous book and maybe my favourite of the series so far. Everyone MUST read it!
Stayed up way too late to finish this book, and I can't regret the morning after headache I have thanks to Ms. Palmer. I know paranormals are the big thing right now, but take the time to read this series. It's different, vibrant, and the characters are believable. There is no sudden, I love you, moment. There is real struggle not to accept the feelings, but to learn to live with them in a dangerous and changing world. If you don't feel Paenther's pain and Skye's loneliness then check your pulse. Of course, when they get together you won't have to because it will "skye"rocket (hee, hee).
I am starting Jag's book today, and other than Vhyper, he's my fav so expect super grumpiness tomorrow!
This review may contain spoilers, so fair warning, upon reading the review. Also my tags may have spoilers in them so be forewarned before checking out full review.
First Impressions Passion Untamed is the third installment in the "Feral Warriors" series. And this is where we see the continuation of the Feral Warriors. I would recommend reading this series opposite in how I have been reading it cause I have been reading it out of order and yeah you want to read this in order so the serial plot events makes much more sense to you as the reader. I really loved the way in which this story was written. If you love full on angsty romances....then look no further than this one with Passion Untamed. This features some evil mages who are true villains, a plot to keep you on the edge of your seat, an angst filled relationship, a sexy alpha male for our hero and a more softer heroine which was quite refreshing.
First Line The newly marked Feral Warrior, Black Panther, prowled the wide, flat stone overlooking the raging Potowmack River.
The Main Protagonists The Hero: Paenther The Heroine: Skye
Summary Mage witch Skye, has been held captive and forced to do horrible things since she was eight years old. She has very little choice in the actions that she takes, and would do anything for a chance to escape, little does she know that her chance would be with the Feral Warrior, Paenther. Paenther, finds himself captive in mage bound chains and forced to be seduced by a woman who confuses him constantly. He sees a sense of innocent and a tortured soul in her eyes, but see her determination and her will to survive. Paenther and Skye find each other in the bottom pits of chains and seduction, but them being together won't be so easy as defeating the evil mage masters...
What I Loved There were many aspects to this story that just quickly really worked for me. I truly loved their angsty dynamic. I loved the whole premise of the hero being the captive and the heroine being in a situation to do things against her will. You see how much he hates her but at the same time can't deny the attraction that he actually holds for her. I loved the chemistry between these two. Their relationship was so fascinating to me. The heroine's personality especially drew me in so quickly. I loved her gentle nature, her connection to animals, and her sweet tortured soul from the abuse that has been committed against her yet through all of that you see this inner core of strength that was so inspiring. A type of strength that is more fiercer than any kick ass heroine. I loved the way in which this author wrote this character and how she easily resonates and matches that with Paenther.
What I Struggled With The narration wasn't the easiest, I might switch to finishing this series with physically reading if I am being honest and see if it works better that way. I think the narration might be keeping these books from being five stars. I do wish that there was more couple time of swoony moments though, I loved the action, but I would have enjoyed a bit more relationship focus.
Narration I really loved the narration in some respects, but it could just me finding it a bit distracting at times.
Overall View Passion Untamed was a sensual paranormal romance that delivers in the tension, the suspense elements that leaves the reader with a thriller vibe and a story to make you swoon in happy tears in the end in such a satisfying way.

This is officially the very first book this year that I stopped reading. :o( I just did not ENJOY reading this. The hero had real potential, but the heroine was a miserable excuse for one. The author made her do really inexcusable things to the hero at the beginning, and then had to "justify" why she did what she did by making her SO victimized, it just rang so false to me. I found the book depressing and not at all sexually exciting. Bleh. Didn't like this at all.
This is such a beautiful, heartbreaking, heartwarming story!
I loved this book and this couple as much as the first two .. well, maybe they do hold a bit more of a special place in my heart because of all they suffered ..
Again I can't wait for the next book! This series seems to have me trapped!! I can't stop reading it book after book .. back to back and falling more and more in love!
I have to say that I think this book is my fave outta the whole series so far. I am really enjoying this series, so much so that I don't have time to write a big review as am moving onto "Rapture Untamed" straight away!!
Really good as always. Paenther is captured by a mage witch after he’s tricked into believing she’s mortal. After being held prisoner for a lot of his life he is not eager to be a captive again. Skye has never had any freedom, her whole life she has lived as a slave to the mage sorcerer Birik, who uses and exploit her powers. But when she’s tasked to capture a feral warrior she’s torn, because when she meets paenther she cant deny he’s the most beautiful creature she’s ever seen. But she cant help him knowing the consequences if she does. Skye and Paenther have to work together and help each other escape.
As always good. Really liked this plot line of the mage x feral. I also love captive stories so it was fun. Not really any complaints. Obviously all of these books are quite repetitive and follow a formula, but honestly that’s why I love them. You know what to expect and it’s great every time. Also RIP Foxx was not expecting that.
Paenther and Foxx are out following yet another lead on Vhper's whereabouts. Their search leads them to a small market at the edge of the mountains. Paenther isn't easily tempted by women, until his eyes land on a small beauty in the shop. His reaction to her stuns him, but he forces himself to walk away. Too bad he can't get her out of his mind. He returns later, and she's there again. There's a passionate encounter which is timely interrupted by Foxx. The next and last time he sees her, the passion consumes them both. In that single vulnerable moment when his mind is open, she enthralls him. That's the second time the mighty warrior has fallen for a Mage. Dun-dun-dun...
Paenther regains consciousness only to find himself chained to a bed in a strange enclave. He realizes that for the second time in his life, he's been captured by a Mage, his mortal enemy. The beauty known as Skye, has him trapped in her dwelling, however she's not acting like a vile witch.
Skye is a Mage enchantress with a special connection to animals. Her gentle and fragile nature doesn't jive with what Paenther knows of Mages, so he's confused as hell. He still wants her with the same ferocity as he did before he knew what she was. When he realizes that they're both being used by Birik, he tells her that she has to make a choice – either help to free him and put a stop to the evil, or turn a blind eye and continue to be used and abused by her own people. She frees him, but at the last second, he kidnaps her to be interrogated by the other warriors.
This was the most complex weaving of the story yet. Paenther is still suffering from the memories of the torture at the hands of the vicious Mage, Ancreta. Pretending to be a woman in distress, she has captured his attention and then enthralled him. Her sadistic rituals were designed to separate him from his animal spirit. Like with a lot of other situations in this series, sex is involved because the mind is completely open and vulnerable during orgasm. So obviously his abuse was sexual. Thinking of that powerful warrior being taken against his will was heartbreaking, considering he's the type of man for whom honor runs deep. He never got over the anger ever since then.
Skye was a fantastic character. She was made the scapegoat for a good portion of the story, and every time she was met with resentment and hatred from the other warriors, it made me cry. She was incredibly brave, but then again I suppose it's easy to show some bravery when you have nothing else to lose. The budding relationship between Paenther and Skye was well paced, and I expected a lot of the obstacles that did appear in their way. They had the passion down pat, but the trust on his side didn't come easily.
When Jag and Foxx are captured, Skye and Paenther risk everything to help them and try to save Vhyper in the process. Those were the most anxiety filled moments that brought some disturbing news to light, and set some interesting events into motion for the future stories.
I'm going address something I've seen a few reviewers mention since book one - the sex in front of others (in front of the other Warriors during certain rituals) – I am putting that into the "it's the Feral way" category. It doesn't bare the same type of carnality or voyeuristic overtones that one might assume. First of all, the others don't "watch" to be perverts. Power is heightened by blood and sometimes when sex is included. However when it can be afforded, the other do try to grant any privacy possible. So really, it's nothing to be put off by, especially not if you've read certain BDSM novels where some acts are really out there on display. I don't see this as being a big issue, because some vampire stories mix blood and sex. Big deal, not.
My favorite book of the series so far. Solid 5 stars.
SERIES HITS ITS STRIDE WITH THE BEST FERAL WARRIORS BOOK THUS FAR!
I listened to the audiobook version of this title; series must be read in order; SEE READING ORDER at end of review.
I must say that author Pamela Palmer has truly hit her stride in this third book in her Feral Warriors series. I enjoyed the first two entries and reviewed them considering my opinions of both positive and negative aspects of the stories and the writing, but in PASSION UNTAMED I was pretty much blown away by the strength of character, story, and expression. This story was so exciting, so rewarding at certain times and utterly heartbreaking at others, that I found myself completely swept away. Palmer's character development skills here far outweigh what she displayed in her first two titles in the series; Paenther (a black panther Feral Warrior shifter) and Skye (a Mage witch who is also an Enchantress, able to "call" any animal with a special empathic connection) are her most rounded and sympathetic characters to date, and both of their backstories leave the reader heartbroken and utterly invested in these characters. I was desperate for Paenther and Skye to find their HEA, but Palmer took her time getting them to first acknowledge the goodness in each other and then start to understand each other, and that was anticipation at its best! The alternating points of view from each of their perspectives gave us a fabulous glimpse into the mind of Paenther, who had been tortured and permanently scarred by a Mage witch in his past, and who truly hated Skye for encapturing him. Watching Paenther's feelings change from hate to grudging respect, admiration, and finally love, was a beautiful thing! Concurrently, Palmer develops the story of the lost daemon blade, the efforts of the dark magic practitioners to raise their evil deity, and the whereabouts of Viper. Viper's story is heartbreaking, and Palmer handles it in a sophisticated, thoughtful way, while leaving Viper's future still to be written, and the reader wanting more, more, more!
The audiobook was once again narrated by the fabulous Rob Shapiro. His ability to change his voice to differentiate characters is superseded only by his uncanny ability to breathe precisely the perfect amount of emotion into every character...never over the top, but always reaching an emotional apex. Unlike my reading of almost all other books, I actually prefer the audiobooks to the print titles in this series, all thanks to the excellence of this narrator.
All of the elements of this story seem to be racheted up a couple of notches from the prior books in the series, and the writing is so much more rewarding. I cannot wait to begin the fourth book; Paenther's story has made me decide to download the next audiobook immediately, and I can only hope that Jag's story will be as thrilling, passionate, and touching as Paenther's. Passion Untamed is Paenther’s story and picks up after he was enthralled by the Mage at the market in Obsession Untamed. His capture brings back memories of being enthralled hundreds of years ago by another Mage. He was held and tortured for months until he was able to escape with help from Vhyper, who had also been taken.
His feelings for Skye become complicated because it’s difficult not to associate Skye with his past based upon what she is: the Mage that enthralled Paenther at the market.
Pamela Palmer hits her stride with Passion Untamed. Paenther and Skye are perfectly matched. They both have dark things that happened to them in their pasts and it’s about each of them overcoming those things in order to be together. Paenther’s inner conflict with trusting Skye is completely valid. His image of all Mage is skewed because of the abuse he suffered by their hands. Couple that with the Mage talent of enthrallment, and what the entire feral house went through with Zaphene, and you can see that Skye’s got a tough road ahead of her. I liked that even with Paenther’s uncertainties about Skye he stood up for her and defended her against the others. He saw past her Mage heritage to the kind soul she truly is.
I liked that Skye, with all her gentleness and kindness, not to be confused for weakness, knows that she’s a good person despite all the evil she’s been raised around. She doesn’t have to validate herself to the Ferals. She does everything in her power to help, but she’s also completely honest with the fact that they may not want her help. While she values her life, even with the uncertainty of where she belongs, she understands that the future of her life is held in the Feral’s hands should they choose to end it, and she doesn’t flinch. She’s suffered far worse under the Mage.
There are a couple of story threads that get tied up in Passion Untamed and through those ties new plots are started. Pamela Palmer shows she’s not above taking risks, and I’m interested to see how one of those plays out for everyone in the house. This is a series that definitely gets better with each book and I’m ready to read more.
I have to say, first thing, that this is my favorite of the series so far. Author Pamela Palmer brought everything to this book. Sex, romance, suspense, drama, witty dialogue, and a great plot are just a few things you will find within the pages of the third installment in the Feral Warriors series.
We start with Paenther being imprisoned in a cave. He comes face to face with the Mage witch that tricked him and captured him. Paenther has a past with Mage witches and can't stand them. His hatred for them is worse than any of the other Feral Warriors because of this. Without going into too much detail in the why of this, I will say that I can understand how he is feeling. What he doesn't expect is how Skye is different than other Mage. She is a gentle soul and one that is pure. What she is doing is not by choice, but one of force in which she has no understanding of what can come from her actions. If she doesn't do what she is told, Skye is forced to endure extreme torture and pain.
I loved seeing the softer side of Paenther in this book. Yes he is strong and definitely a Warrior to be feared, but he is also gentle when needed. He starts to realize what has happened and starts to fall for the Mage witch. While he starts to bring Skye into his world a little bit, he doesn't give his full trust to her until you least expect it.
The battle is just beginning to erupt within the Warrior and Mage war to free the evil into the human world. This is one fight you won't want to miss! Allies are aligning with each, troubles are arising within both groups, and romance is found where you least expect it. One of the best books in the series so far!
Easily the best of the series. I really liked Panthaer. I wavered on the heroine from time to time. But then again, I often do. She was well done for an abused heroine. She didn't get miraculously strong and break character. The others didn't treat her with superb reverence for all she'd suffered through. All good as far as I'm concerned.
The book got messy and threw some surprises. It wasn't cut and dried. A nice, fun, refreshing read. I like that the guys don't all get along all the time. The book set up for some good potential plots in the next in the series.
Paenther was just the right amount of tortured bad boy for my liking. I loved the way he was drawn to Skye even though she should be his enemy. The two of them fit really well together and I loved how their relationship influenced the changes. I've already started Jag's book!
was not drawn to the character of Paenther until this book. Him and Skye fit so well together. Great ending, very sweet. Sad about Foxx, but look forward to what could come next.
