Ellie Amos is the #1 agent at Top Secret Travel, the country's highest-rated secret destination travel agency. She knows her stuff and she knows her clients, making her the epitome of a travel professional. There is one little problem though--Ellie is terrified of traveling. In fact, she's never set foot outside of the city she grew up in.

The even bigger kicker? None of her co-workers know, making Ellie's lie the actual biggest secret at TST. Combine that with a crush on her cubicle neighbor and nemesis, Rick, and Ellie finds herself pretty lost in the small world she does know.

Eren Polat is TST's resident flight booking expert and Ellie's work BFF. His carefree nature and kindness make him a favorite at the office, but he doesn't feel as valued outside of work. Everyone in his life constantly makes him feel like he's "too much," and after having his heart broken for the twelfth time, he's starting to believe it's true.

When Ellie confesses her secret to Eren, he makes it his mission to help her overcome her fear. But what starts as a favor between friends quickly turns into something more. Will their friendship be lost to the complexities of work and life? Or will their connection deepen into something neither of them knew they needed?

Miranda's earliest memory of writing goes back to a third-grade story competition, where she wrote about a cat and a horse who became best friends. Spoiler alert: it was bad and she didn't win. She's almost over it now.

These days, Miranda writes cozy contemporary romance novels. She lives in Florida, where she works in the travel industry and dreams about living somewhere with seasons. She hates raisins, and would put her life on the line for a good chocolate chip cookie.

Everywhere We’ve Never Been was a sweet story of unexpected office crush turned office romance intermingled with self-discovery and growth. I was sincerely rooting for these main characters and also felt emotionally attached to the supporting cast of quirky family members. What I’d describe as a medium spice level was just right for me - didn’t leave you hanging but not the main focus. A perfect combination of some of the best tropes, but not overdone in any way. Highly recommend!

ARC REVIEW

Everywhere We’ve Never Been ✈️

Genre: Contemporary Romance

Tropes: Friends to lovers, forced proximity, falling together, introvert/extrovert, opposites attract, workplace romance, HEA

Spice: 🌶️🌶️

What it’s about:
Ellie and Eren, the two E’s! Best work buddies and lunch mates. Ellie is a top class travel agent with a secret, she’s never actually traveled. 🫢 And Eren is struggling with a relationship that’s bringing his normally cheery demeanor down. 💔 They confide in each other and become closer than ever. When Eren decides to help Ellie with her fears they embark her very first adventure together. Will feelings grow along with her traveling confidence? Will Eren ever find the love meant for him?

Why you will like:
Looks from across the.. cubical, themed button up shirts, holiday timeframe, found family, conquering fears, cute dogs and a HEA

Notes:
I’m picky when it comes to contemporary romances, they tend not to suck me in as much as a fantasy. But this book! I loved it. I could relate to these characters so much. I really enjoyed the honesty between the main characters. It’s so sweet how supportive they are of each other. I love Brat and Scrabble. You knew what you were doing there Scrabble 😉 And I appreciate the match making 😂 This was a refreshing and easy read. The writing was smooth and scenes were believable. The brothers 🙌🏼 I loved all their scenes. There’s a bit of a love triangle but it is not the main focus. Perfect if you’re looking for something sweet with a HEA and characters who support and see perceived flaws as unique, not bad. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!

Why you might dislike: There’s a lot of internal dialogue, specifically of the characters anxieties and working through them. I actually enjoyed that in this book, it wasn’t confusing or long winded. It felt very realistic and like the author was reading my brain in some instances. 😅 Even though it was very well done I know some people don’t like dialogue like that so just warning you in case that’s not your thing.

TW: Child abandonment, anxiety, depression

Style/writing: Seamless writing with a lot of fun moments. Miranda really excels at developing a sense of place and atmosphere in all of her stories!
Themes: Overcoming personal obstacles (thoughts, beliefs, anxieties) that are limiting living life to its fullest.
Characters: Two separate and relatable POVs that bring the story together beautifully. And there are dogs! We love a good animal companion.
Plot: There are several different elements going on in this plot... Workplace romance, working through anxiety, traveling to new places, family dynamics!

Trigger warnings: Chid abandonment, references to mental illness

I was gifted an eArc of Miranda Valentine's Everywhere We've Never Been & it was everything I hoped it would be. Miranda is such a lovely human & I was nervous to read her book, in case it didn't end up being for me. But let me tell you, it *was* for me. This book is *perfection*. The character build & growth is wonderful; the story is loving & lovely. There is a trope involved that I normally don't enjoy, but Miranda writes it in so perfectly that I wasn't bothered by it at all. In fact, it worked so well that I think it would have been wrong to *not* involve this trope. Ellie & Eren will forever hold a place in my heart. I can't wait to read more @authormirandav!

This book was so cute!!! I instantly fell in love with the main characters and loved their journey. The uncles! 🥹 Ugh, I love them so much and need uncles like that in my life.

The ONLY thing that I wasn’t crazy about was the use of explanation marks. There’s just so many of them. Buuuuuut that aside, this book is so freaking cute and you won’t be disappointed!

I received an ARC from the author! This book was so sweet! The characters were super relatable! The internal and external dialogue were so relatable! Ellie was such an easy character to go along the journey with, and Eren was such an easy character to fall for!

If you are looking for a fun and easy read, this one is for you!

Another 5 star read from Miranda Valentine

Note: If you haven’t read her debut novel, Pulled To You, please go read it immediately. As far as this one goes, I’m already excited to read it again during the holidays. If you love wholesome romances, stellar mental health representation, adorable animal sidekicks, strong supportive families, mouthwatering food descriptions and books that make you dream of traveling the world … then this one is for you. Ellie & Eren have my whole heart. You can bet I’ll be rereading with warm cookies and hot chocolate piled high with mini marshmallows and maybe even a little whip cream.

I read this in a day. Whole thing. Cover to cover. I could not help falling in love with these people. And I say people because they feel more than just characters. Ellie and Eren and everyone around them are people you know in your life, so you can't help but get swept up by their story and find yourself rooting for them. So beautifully and authentically written are their inner dialogues I found myself in each of them. It was like watching two friends' stories unfold.

Everything is unbelievably relatable. The office drama. The anxieties of love and "does he?" "Does she?". The family dynamics. It was the perfect blend of real life and romantic comedy that I need this made into a Hallmark Christmas movie ASAP.

And can we please have this published with the shortbread cookie and hot chocolate recipe, please?? Miranda has a unique way of tying food into her stories that you end up craving whatever is being described on the page. It was the same in Pulled To You. The only downside is that my copy was not delivered with a tin of shortbread cookies.

Going by the cover, I took it to be about two lesbian women on a world trip; the chapter titles reaffirm it. Apparently, it's about a Turkish guy named Eren, and maybe he's the one with long hair on the cover. So don't be misled!

I like the first two paragraphs of the blurb. The prologue is very good. I would've definitely picked it up had I been skimming in a bookstore. I thoroughly enjoyed every page of this story. I'm so happy it exists and that I got to read it! It's very likeable, and there are no dull moments. Brat is a shining star, and that shows in moments like him knowing the route by heart. Her uncle is so sweet to take her party dress shopping. It was good that Ellie shut him out after he ghosted her, but it was still irritating to read that in his POV where he still expected her to be kind with him—such an entitled, shoddy prick! I think it'll be horrible to spend Diwali alone in another country where I don't speak the language. I wish, but don't actually wish, for someone to surprise me there on a bridge the way Eren did Ellie. I'd love to be a part of a suburban mom walking club. The author's familiarity with the setting must've helped with the detailing, and this story gives me wanderlust.

Without getting into the details, I do have a few bones to pick with Eren, whom I found narcissistic towards the end, and that's the only thing keeping it from being a 5-star read. I'll still recommend this to all contemporary romance lovers!

I received an e-ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

🌲Holiday vibe with shortbread cookies
💬Dual POV
👩‍❤️‍👨Coworkers to friends to lovers
🗺️Overcoming fears
🐶🐶Dogs
🫂Opposites attract
🏔️ Rocky mountains 💗

This is a sweet and cozy romance story, that follows two coworkers at a travel agency. Eren is the top travel agent and is very committed to her work and her routines, but she has a big fear of traveling and family trauma that comes with it. Eren is the agency's flight booking expert. He is outgoing but fears that he is often "too much" for people as his dating history keeps repeating itself.

They start as coworkers, become good friends and as they support each other through some emotional situations that involve overcoming fears and stepping out of their comfort zones this brings them even closer.

The supportive characters were some of the best... because two of them were dogs! Brat is the perfect dog. He can say so much with his eyes and small actions and Scrabble's sassy attitude is hilarious.
Ellie's uncles were soo nice and lovely! and Eren's brother scenes were pretty funny and I loved the banter that Ellie brought in to stand up for Eren.

I found this hard to put down and I just wanted to know what would happen next. Thank you so much, Miranda, for sharing this ARC with me, so glad I signed up for this one. It had me grinning the whole time and I just loved the cozy holiday vibe, especially Eren's parent's house in the middle of the Rockies

Everywhere We’ve Never Been is a workplace romance following Eren and Ellie. Both work at Top Secret Travel, a charming little agency in Jacksonville, Florida. Ellie is a sales agent, and Eren is a flight investigator. Despite secrets and a few setbacks from the past, the two find their way to each other in a way that keeps you smiling—and rooting for them—until the very end.

Both characters are wonderful. Their chemistry radiates off the page. Ellie is sweet and interesting, and Eren is an absolute dream. He’s selfless, friendly, supportive, trustworthy, sexy…and the list goes on.

As the two work through feelings, overcome obstacles, and grow closer together, you can feel the love and magnetism between them. I found myself thinking about Eren and Ellie when I had to stop reading to run an errand or do something around the house. I wanted to hurry up and dive back into their story. 😊

Not only is this book beautifully written and thoroughly entertaining—taking you on a journey that is sure to make you reflect or teach you a thing or two—but it is also fun and refreshing and will no doubt leave you feeling good.

This was the sweetest, coziest romance story. I love the "friends to lovers" trope, and this one was done so well. I felt butterflies myself sometimes, at their very sweet moments and interactions. I felt like I could truly see & feel them falling for each other, and it was precious. I think that part in particular was done so well and felt so genuine. I also very much appreciated that we avoided some the tropes that are my biggest pet peeves, which can ruin a good book for me. I thought the travel agency setting was unique, and liked the relationship of Ellie and her uncles. Plus, I might have my own crush on Eren now! This was such an "easy" read, in all the right ways, and I really just ate it up. The writing is excellent, without annoying, cheesy dialogue.

This was the first "ARC" I've ever received (after requesting directly through the author's Instagram when she put out the call), and I'm so glad I got this opportunity to be one of the first to read this novel! Highly recommend.

Thank you to the author for the eARC. All opinions expressed are my own.

I fell in love with the premise and then fell in love with the characters/plot/relationships/etc. EWNB follows Ellie, a travel agent that has never left Florida. The plot alternates between focusing on her decision to take a trip and her love triangle with two of her coworkers.

Ellie's character was incredibly well written. She is strong and smart, but also vulnerable and scared. She wants to keep her job but has fears surrounding travel. With the help of her friend/love interest and uncles, she learns to step outside of her comfort zone and embrace new experiences. Additionally, she learns that she is capable of doing these big things on her own.

There are two love interests so I will refrain from discussing them to avoid spoilers. That being said, I certainly preferred one over the other, but I did love them both.

Thank you again to the author. This is her second novel and I will now be racing to read her debut.

This was such a cute and fun quick read! I loved the setting- a travel agency! I went into this completely blind- and at first I wanted this to be a romance with Ellie and Rick because he is her “nemesis” at work and I love a good “enemies” to lovers workplace romance BUT I loved that this was about Eren and Ellie more! I love that they were best friends at work- but that their relationship outside of work developed. Ellie and Eren make me want to quit my job and work as a travel agent for the potential perk of getting a free work trip anywhere I want! In my honest opinion, I do feel like it was a very fast moving relationship. That is my only turn off- I am just a sucker for a dragged out relationship that builds upon anticipation LOL but that is just my personal opinion. This novel reminded me of “The Hating Game” but they’re friends and not enemies. I was honored to get to read this as an ARC! If you’re looking for a cute, fast read I suggest picking this up.

Everywhere We’ve Never Been - Miranda Valentine

This is a sweet unexpected Office/ workplace romance book that had me hooked from the start. Within the first few chapters I had fallen in love with both Wren and Ellie, I was rooting for them. I love how this was a friends to lovers book, I don’t tend to choose “Friends to lovers” because I feel that it an over used trope but with this book it was 1000% worth reading. This book is well worth the time to read, and you will not want to put this book down.

I am so happy that Miranda Valentine gave me the opportunity to be an ARC Reader for this book.

I REALLY enjoyed reading this book! I loved the main characters and how the whole book talked about overcoming your fears and pushing yourself to do new things.

Ellie’s backstory broke my heart and Eren’s family was so sweet! The only complaint I have is I wish the book was a bit longer but I would be happy with another book! 😉 I’d LOVE to see a second book where Ellie and Eren’s relationship grows further.

This was such a fun read. I’m obsessed with the main characters, Ellie and Eren. Their relationship development kept me from putting the book down. I want more. Office dynamics felt realistic and funny. Relationships were organic. Even smaller characters were interesting and I could totally see whole stories developed based on them (I.e., we need the life and love of uncles Rob and Sai.) seriously hope this becomes a series.

I used to think I didn’t like the Friends to Lovers trope, but I’m just read so many well written ones I’ve loved lately. This being one of them.

Workplace romance, they’ve known each other for awhile, you get some travel in there as well. It’s perfect.

My heart has grown two sizes bigger because of Ellie and Eren. I found myself relating to both of them in different ways, making them feel like real life friends. I loved being apart of Ellie’s growth. As someone that’s ill-traveled myself, a part of me while reading about her experience made me think, “hey, it’s not so bad.” And the support and encouragement from Eren, SWOON. YOU’RE NOT TOO MUCH EREN. *ahem* sorry. The ending was everything to me. The family dynamics, animal friends, the travel agency where both Ellie and Eren worked to their traveling adventure to Colorado and well, no spoilers here but my heart has melted.

To me, this book was more than the romance. It’s overcoming your fears and having the healthy support system along the way.

Ellie & Eren <3 <3 <3

This was a beautiful story about overcoming your fears, all with your best friend by your side.
I loved that travel was interwoven into the story, because it inspired me to think outside the box and to get back into traveling post Covid.

I was giggling like a lil girl any time they were flirting, and maybe a spoiler alert but the jealousy Eren had when Ellie would talk to you know who made me love him even more I think.
