Some people come into your life with the power to challenge everything you thought you knew about yourself.

Lex is chaos personified.
He’s strange and alluring. Unpredictable and unique.
He drives me wild in a way I’ve never experienced.
I’ve never felt desire like this and now I find myself craving his touch and wanting him more than I’ve ever wanted anyone.
I know I shouldn’t trust him though.
Lex wants something from me and my family.
He watches me through hidden cameras, stalking me like prey.
But his voyeurism excites me. I want him to watch me, catch me, consume me.
I am his obsession and he is my madness.
And together, our absurdity somehow makes perfect sense.

Lex is a darkly funny and emotional MM romance with a sweet HEA. This is book five of the Unexpected series. It can be read as a standalone, but better enjoyed in order.

I unexpectedly (haha) didn’t enjoy this like…at all. I hate Lex. William has no personality soooo what’s there to hate? We don’t even get to know the characters that much but still…no thanks! Everything is rushed and happens at the speed of lightning and absolutely nothing gets explored beyond surface level. Lmao even the smut was rushed. I’m not complaining about this being insta-lust / love etc. because that’s what happens in this series and I enjoy it just fine but the whole book was like Now We’re At The Restaurant and Now We’re At Home and Omg We Just Fucked and then (insert something ridiculous happening). I think the humor was too much for me too. I can only take so much of hearing about old ladies that love sugar. I don’t even know what happened. When did they even fall in love? This was so strange and I’m disappointed to say the least.

Lex is quite a fire cracker. His story is a joyful surprise due to not only his snarkiness, but his huge heart. Lex has been looking for someone to return the love he has been waiting to share and William is his person.

I loved Lex's story, which is more entertaining than I ever could have imagined. Cora Rose has such a talent with creating fascinatingly addicting characters who may seem a bit odd or unique, but once they find their person they are are determined to possess them.

Lex declares William as his, which makes for such confusion on Williams part. Lex is in awe of this silent, standoffish man who has no idea what he has let into his life. Together they are quite the pair, they ground each other while making the other feel safe and loved.

Lex's story has such an emotional beat pulsing throughout that when certain events occur you feel all the emotions, making for such a moving story. Overall I enjoyed this newest entry in the Unexpected series cannot wait for the next pairing. There are some hints and I look forward to seeing who is next...

I started this book and it put a big smile on my face. Well, mostly Lex did. And I love that guy on the cover. I can totally imagine him being Lex.

Anyway… I don’t usually say it that blandly but this book was meh for me. Couldn’t really get excited about the plot and I couldn’t have cared less about the forming relationship between Lex and William, tbh. I was bored and I didn’t even wanted to know what happened down the road.

The problem is, when I feel about a book that way and I put it down for whatever reason I have such a hard time picking it up again. So it vegetates there on my shelf and its unread pages are stressing me out whenever I see it there.

So… I let it go now. I don’t think I will come back to it.

side note: old lady Martha is my girl!

As a mutual once said - If Cora writes it I read it.

Lex, Lex, Lex.

Since meeting him in Emery, I have eagerly awaited his story. He's been a bit of a mystery. While Emery is chaotic chaos, Lex is controlled chaos. He's bold, bright, and blunt. He's also a box of secrets and talents. He's intelligent and knows how to manipulate people. However, this can be linked to his abusive childhood. He's been alone for a long time, with Emery as his only true friend, starved of love and affection. He keeps a strong front but wants to feel like he belongs to someone, to be part of a family.

Lex walks in the grey zone. He's antics are hilarious and, VERY shady - you do not want to mess with him.

He's adoption of three sweet senior women, particularly Brenda, is just the sweetest. He adores them and has a fierce attachment and love for them. His loyalty to those he loves and considers important is endearing to see. He is willing to do anything and everything for them. Goodness, I didn't think I could love him more. His love for these ladies made me a bit emotional.

Now enter William, Brenda's grandson, who has been absent for a while due to reasons. She adores him and has tried to set up Lex with him. He's quiet, shy, awkward, and very very sexually inexperienced - like 0. When he enters the picture, Lex is scared that since Brenda's actual grandson is here, he will be pushed aside. Once he learns of Williams's inexperience, he wants to use it to his advantage to make sure that he is out of the picture - but that all quickly changes as he falls in love with the shy redhead. Lex and Williams relationship does come off initially unbalanced and Lex has little regard for boundaries.

I love how William is supportive and adores Lex. They have similar childhoods, but he had his Grandmother who showed him affection. He understands the attachment Lex forms with his Grandmother. If anything, it makes him adore and love Lex more.

I also love how he can not say no to Lex. Lex had to fight his whole life and having someone who takes his needs and wants - no matter how crazy - into consideration is a breath of fresh air to him.

The sex! Goodness, what to say? Cora never misses, and I love how the box of kinks gets expanded for William through his sexual discovery with lex. I am not going to lie - the whole rewatching of their sexual encounters is hot. I didn't think I would find that hot, but hey, you sometimes discover something new about yourself in the most unexpected ways. The touching too. I love how they casually touched during interactions, stomach petting/playing with bellybutton piercing, light kissing, hand holding, and sitting on each other laps. I love how William trusted Lex and how Lex was so attentive to him as well.

I also loved the cameos by Emery, August and Elliott!! I especially miss Emery and August.

Overall, I adored Lex and William's story. It was an emotional rollercoaster. Cora has a gift, and I can't wait for the next book. I am hoping we will get Diablo's story next. I am super curious to find out more about him. Colin is also a mystery waiting to be explored! If you love Cora's work I can't recommend this book enough!

Here’s the thing with this series: you have to be in the right mood for these books. Otherwise you end up rolling your eyes so hard they do an 180.

Seems like I WAS in the right mood this time. After hating the previous book, loving “Emery” and kind of liking the first two, “Lex”, who’s about Emery’s best friend, was a hit for me.

I mean - if you look at it logically, it contains everything I DON’T like in a book - insta lust, insta love, and an abundance of overly quirky old ladies, paired with some not particularly well fleshed of side characters (looking at you, Diablo). Yet - did it diminish my enjoyment? Not one bit.

Lex is a security/computer nerd who “adopted” three old ladies in an retirement home, one of them 90yo Brenda, who has an elusive grandson, William.

When William moves back, Lex fears that he has to compete with him for a place in Brenda’s heart. Enter: insta lust, and the discovery that quiet William is a 30yo virgin (never having been attracted to someone before, and assuming he’s asexual. Until he meets Lex ofc).

So yeah, they more or less immediately can’t stay away from each other, all of it paired with that completely OTT lust-filled haze that’s so typical for Cora Rose and her books.

This time however, being in the mood for it and knowing what I was getting myself into, I loved it. Not enough to rate it with 5 stars, but still with well deserved 4 stars, seeing how many times it made me laugh (and even choke up).

Not for everyone, but if you manage to go into it while leaving all common sense at the doorstep, you’ll have fun reading it.

I enjoyed this but I was expecting more, especially after how much I loved Whit, Sem and Emery. Lex's personality seemed really diluted in his own book, when he's been completely nuts and really extra in both Emery and Luke. It was nice to see his relationship with the older women, and also to see him with William, but I was honestly expecting more crazy antics and histrionics - he always struck me as being more wild than Caleb, Sem and Luke but he was so tame here. I understood he had abandonment issues and anxiety about losing his loved ones, but there was literally nothing else explored with his personality and even these issues weren't really discussed, he even mentioned the same thing about his little brother twice but neither time really hit me in the feels - we already knew he was tech obsessed with the camera obsession so I was hoping to see more of him, rather than a recap of what we already knew he did.

William was a 'nice' character, but he didn't particularly say much, even in his own POV chapters, and he forgave Lex way too quickly. I'm assuming he's older than Lex because I couldn't remember how old Emery and Lex were from the previous book, and considering he assumed he was ace his whole life, he never really mentioned this to Lex or had any real discussions about what he was comfortable with, they just dived right in - there were maybe two small references in the whole book. I also fail to see how he even had a stalker because he's just so quiet and shy! I think the stalker part could have been removed completely, which would have removed the need for so much Diablo and Skylar. I would have rather seen William have more personality other than being a quiet numbers guy who lusts after Lex and enjoys Lex watching him.

It was also nice to see Emery and August again, but it felt like August had become mute! I'd have liked to have seen how Lex and William as a couple fitted into the wider friendship group but when they have dinner with Emery and August it's a few sentences then skips to another time, so we don't even get to see them really with Lex's best friend! There was also so much focus on other side characters that I didn't really feel a strong connection to Lex or William because the attention was always being diverted away from them - Ben, Elliott, Elliott's receptionist, Colin randomly popping up in case we forgot about him (I think he's a cockroach shapeshifter because he just appears in every book) and then Diablo and Skylar continually appearing. It's nice that the story world is so established, but I felt like it detracted from Lex and William having their epic story.

Overall, I was just kind of sad that Lex seemed to lose his personality and William didn't really have one to begin with :( I would even have welcomed the 80% break up just to see Lex go nuts and William have something about him!

I'm hoping for Colin's book next because man am I ready for him to stop prowling all the others! I hope he gets a totally OTT bad boy though because he's so sweet that if he ended up with a nice guy (*cough* Ben *cough*) I think I might just cry - Colin is definitely that guy who is crying out for some danger and excitement in his perfect life!

Kissing without consent? Nope I don't approve...Less Romantic and more Problematic. Not my thing.

I love this series okay? I love how ridiculous and nonsensical it is. I love Cora's humor. I love how all the characters are cracks. But I am really extremely disappointed with this book.

It was way too weird...even for me. Lex was really really annoying. It's not about him being a creepy stalker cause I loved Sam. He was just so self centred. He never really cared for William's feeling or his opinions on stuffs. He did whatever he wanted. The relationship never felt equal. The romance was hot, it was kinky. FINE. But it wasn't equal. William might not have any complaints but I definitely had problems with how Lex treated him.

Even..When the grandma died, Lex made it all about himself. He cried, he whined, he felt pitiful. But he never for once asked how William was feeling....piece of sh*t. BYE

Lex drove me batshit crazy with his jacked-up energy and arrogance. And William had no personality. He went from being ace/demi to a sex addict the second Lex touched his cock. I don't think that's how it works. 🙄

The old ladies were supposed to be endearing, but they didn't read like real people. They were caricatures of sassy octogenarians.

I didn't believe Lex would have bonded with them that quickly, and the way he tried to control them wasn't cute.

Throw in a bunch of repetitive sex, too many scenes featuring Diablo and his bodyguard to plug a future book, and the abrupt ending, and I was annoyed and bored rather than entertained.

⭐︎ 4.5 "Unexpected" Stars Rounded Up! ⭐︎

What started out as rocky beginning, and my reason for giving this story .5 stars off, turned into a great story that I fell in love with.

Lex was...a lot to deal with at first. Frankly, I didn't like him that much. And there wasn't that much chemistry between him and William at first, and I wondered why William was intrigued by Lex when all he was was mean to him.

But then at some point early on, it was like a switch was flipped. Lex became less annoying, less mean to William, and a connection really began to form between them. There was definite sexual chemistry at first, but then as time went on and they got more romantic, their romantic chemistry shined through as well.

I also loved the secondary characters of Brenda, Martha, and Vikki. Brenda is William's grandmother, and Lex has been her companion for some months, or maybe even longer than that. We don't know how he met her, not that that really matters in the end, just that he sees Brenda as a grandmotherly type figure himself.

And when William comes back from Florida after being away for six months, these two meet and there's an instant attraction, even though William has thought himself asexual his whole life until Lex. And then all the sudden William can't get enough of sex...with Lex, that is.

My best guess for William's sexuality is gray-asexual, because he had an attraction to Lex right away, despite not knowing him at all, so he's not demisexual.

But I guess, for William, not that he's actually feeling sexual attraction for someone, he's excited to feel it, although he's also hilariously worried something is wrong with him, because he's hard all the time around Lex lol.

This just felt like classic Cora Rose, as we're coming to know her as a writer. With at least one of the love interests being a little fucked up in some way, but also being somehow endearing in their way anyway. Because Lex has cameras everywhere, and doesn't mind being. a little stalker-y towards William, and being a little morally gray in other areas as well, such as this legit stalker of William's that he threatens to get her to leave him alone. (Although that scene was hilarious with his friend Diablo there being somehow hilariously psychotic. If Diablo's love interest isn't Skyler, his big, giant bodyguard dude, then I'll be so annoyed. And with Diablo being such a little person, it'd be the perfect Big Dude/Small Guy dynamic. Close to Sem and Magnus, at least in size difference.)

Anyway, after that rough start, I just got totally sucked into this story and Lex and William's relationship. Kinda of close to Emery, which I'd still say is my favorite of this series so far with this one a close second, with August being this calming presence to balance out Emery's chaos. lex doesn't have ADHD so he isn't all over the place like Emery is, but he has his own kind of chaos that William calms down, and he brings out Lex's vulnerable side that I was so craving at the start of this.

Really, I think that Lex just was a little too brash at the beginning because he put up walls to deal with the pain of his past and present, and he didn't know any other way to be. But William came and knocked down some of his walls and I came to love his character by the end of this story.

So I definitely recommend this. It was so so good and I just absolutely loved it. It even got me to cry near the end when

Two MASSIVE thumbs up from me. Can't wait for the next book in this series! Hoping for it to be Diablo and Skyler 🤞

My Ratings for the Unexpected series:

Whit: 4.25 stars (my review)
Sem: 4.25 stars (my review)
Emery: 4.5 stars (my review)
Luke: 3.25 stars (my review)
✨ Lex: 4.5 stars

I loved every over the top, wild, and ridiculous thing about this book. I always love the crazy, over the top characters this author writes and this book was no exception. They are so fun to read. This one did have an emotional ending, which I loved also.

Just wish the relationship would have been a bit deeper, less surface level. Especially William, we barely got to know him. He also barely spoke- every time someone said something to him, he would reply in his head, then outwardly would just nod or shrug. He rarely said his thoughts out loud; if we weren't in his POV, we would never know a thing about him since he rarely said what he was thinking out loud. The emotional ending would have been so much more impactful if we got to know the characters on a deeper level.

BR with my girl Cass!

I like Lex, I even like that he’s creepy and Voyeuristic. Most of all I like how much he loves those old ladies and how protective he is of them and later William.

I like William, I actually like that he’s a man of few words. Not all characters have to have big personalities especially when they’re up against a character like Lex.

The steam was pretty perfect and there was a ton of it. But honestly I would’ve liked it more if there was a build up. Maybe I’ve gotten used to Cora giving me that and now I’m a bit confused when she didn’t.

Because every book in this series, down to the bare bones is the same. You’ve got your grumpy vs sunshine, you’ve got one crazy, outlandish character, one quiet stoic one. There’s tons of man on man cuddling and some good smut.

But I like that she always introduces something new into each book. Whether is be demisexual, trans characters, bdsm, asexual, adhd, etc. I appreciate the nuance.

So I can’t for the life of me tell you why I didn’t connect with any of these characters except for the bare minimum. Is it because I’ve been sick and jacked up on cold meds? I mean yeah, that could very well be it. I just don’t know.

Their first encounter ends in Lex kissing William without his consent.

"I probably should have pondered for a moment about consent and whether or not this guy is into men. He could be adamantly against it. But, then again, he isn't immediately pushing me away like I'd expect him to if he was affronted or grossed out."

So... not struggling right from the start equals consent?

"As I nibble my way across his lips, I realize that he isn't moving. It's like he's frozen solid."

Yeah Lex, this all just screams consent to me.
Lex, of course, thinks this is all awesome and is delighted by the fact he was William's first kiss, while William didn't even want it to happen. In fact, William mentions twice that he wants to leave.

I don't want to read this. I'm out.

I’m not sure what to rate this cause I don’t know if I really liked it…

I know William admitted to liking being recording but the fact that at first Lex was like “btw I’ve recorded everything we’ve done and I plan to watch them all later and won’t delete them even if you ask” (and William did ask) was a bit too lacking in consent for me.

Overall it was fine but I definitely didn’t love it as much as Whit or Emery. Things are starting to feel a bit too similar in the series…

"His eyes widen and he clutches onto the door handle, moving to pull it open. I stop him, the words tumbling out of my mouth before I can stop them. "Come to my place tonight and we can practice."

Lex by Cora Rose is the fifth book in her Unexpected series. All the stories are standalone but are linked in the same universe, so expect lots of cameo appearances and references to past characters (I love that!) It is recommended that you do read the books in order. My favourite is Whit, which is book 1.

This is Lex and William's story and the tropes/themes you can look forward to include:

❣️ MM cute and steamy romance
❣️ Virgin MC
❣️ All the firsts
❣️ Piercings
❣️ Voyeurism
❣️ Slightly crazy old ladies
❣️ HEA

If you love Cora's previous books, you will adore Lex and William.

Well, you can't win them all. The only thing truly "unexpected" about this book was how many times my mind wandered while I was reading it. I didn't think it was bad and I didn't dislike it, but it didn't grab me and pull me in like the previous books in this series did. This book was light on everything - plot, character development, humor, romance. I usually laugh out loud at the utter ridiculousness of Cora Rose's characters, but the only one who dragged a giggle out of me in this book was Amanda and it only happened once. And some of the random events that took place seemed to lack purpose and were resolved so quickly and easily that I forgot they'd even happened until I sat down to write this review.

Lex said he didn't like puzzles but felt compelled to solve them and wanted to solve the puzzle that was William. But if William was a puzzle, he was one of those wooden ones made for toddlers that have, like, 5 pieces. There was just not much to the guy. Lex was also more subdued than I expected him to be, though I definitely found him more interesting than William. I didn't like the way he was negging William in the beginning, though. I can't stand that mess and felt like it made William look weak and Lex like an asshole. The side plot with the three older ladies was cute and I liked Lex's relationship with them, but their personalities were whittled down to horrible eating habits, minor klepto tendencies and a constant need to defend their mortality. I wanted to like them a lot more than I did.

So, yeah, this one wasn't for me, but such is life. If it's between Diablo and Colin next, I have to vote Colin and hope he's not as boring as Lex assumes he is.

I liked Lex; I Just didn't love Lex.
Lex is snarky with a twinge of darkness character. I expected a more in-depth storyline that, unfortunately, wasn’t delivered.
William was a man of few words. As sweet as he was, I couldn't connect with him.
The spice, as always, is nice and steamy.
The book has great potential.
Don't let my review discourage you from reading it. It could be your five-star read.

this was cute and relatively low-angst til the end.

lexington and william are very cute together, but also insanely hot and kinky. i devoured this so quickly and i just really had such a fun time with this couple. i love how they took care of each other at the end of the book.

i definitely enjoyed this more than whit and emery, but it still fell just a little flat in some aspects. i really wish we got more background on both mmc’s. our understanding of them felt very surface-level. but i did appreciate the lack of a third act which is the first of this series to not have one.

I liked this a lot more than I thought I would. I skipped this book because I didn’t really care for Lex in Emery’s book, but I gave it a go and I’m glad I did. Lex was so crazy. Like honestly a psycho. You have to be to put cameras in someone’s office without them knowing. Anyway. This was funny though. I laughed a lot and the sex was good. The only thing I didn’t care for was the old ladies. Don’t get me wrong, I love when old people are in books. Especially when the old people are funny and have no filter. These ladies are great, but Lex was too obsessed. I get that he never felt like he had a family until he had them and he wanted to hang onto that feeling, but it was too much. Honestly if Lex had to pick between William and Brenda, he would pick Brenda for sure. Sorry Willy!

I am a huge fan of the author, but this book unfortunately disappointed me. I was previously not very fond of the character of Lex and had hopes that this book would bring me closer to him and that I would finally understand him. But unfortunately the opposite was the case. I couldn't find any connection to Lex and was also unable to empathize with William.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm actually quite easy to convince of characters, but here it did not succeed at all. Makes me very sad.
The plot, well there is also room for improvement. Somehow I still have far too many questions in my head. I miss the details about the backgrounds of Lex and William. Even if it is wonderful how obsessed the two are with each other immediately and can not keep their hands off each other, so a little more content to underline the many sex scenes would have been preferable.
Now I waited to read the book until I was out of the hospital so I wouldn't be affected by this negative environment, and still the plan didn't work. At this point I am so disappointed that I don't know if I would pick up another book by this author. 😢😭😩

Lex (Unexpected Book 5) MM

Oh everyone should have a Lex in their life.

He tries to convey an image of a hard man but he is a squishy softer inside. The cover picture depicting him is gorgeous. I always pay attention to the book covers, they are a good percentage of why I choose to read most of them.

Lex has had a very hard childhood, a mother who overdosed and died and a father who committed murder. His young brother Leo died age 6 from cancer. No wonder he covers all his emotions in a hard facade. Letting no one in. Until surprisingly three old ladies in a Care Home steal into his heart, Brenda, Martha and Vikki. Especially Brenda.

Lex’s only other real friends are Emery and his boyfriend August, and another guy Diablo. Brenda is like a Grandmother to him, so he visits to do her hair, nails etc and takes her and her friends for walks and lunch.

When Brenda is upset because she doesn’t get visits from real Grandson Lex becomes angry. The grandson went off to Florida and left her all alone. Dropping in to visit His Ladies one day, he is confronted by this nerdy looking guy. Brenda introduces him as her Grandson, William.

Lex makes it his mission to punish this guy for leaving his Grandma. Problem is, Lex starts to enjoy punishing William. Then he discovers that William has a stalker who has pestered him for a couple of years. They trouble him at work, outside his office and home, texting and calling.

Luckily Lex has ways and means, plus a friend like Diablo, to help get rid of this pest in Williams life. William just can’t say “no” to Lex’s offer of help.

***********************************

Don’t want to provide any spoilers here but I loved this story of Lex which also has Emery and August from a previous book in the series. I’ve messed up the reading sequence but still love both I’ve read so far, “Emery” and “Lex”. So looking forward to getting the others in the series by Cora Rose.

Treat yourself to this Full series.

Overall Opinion
Cora Rose has done it again with another stunner of a story! I need a Lex in my life, he was just *chefs kiss*, and Brenda, Vikki and Martha? They were everything!! I went into this and was prepared to dislike William but couldn't help loving him instantly, he was just so adorable! William and Lex fit each other perfectly, and the banter was fire. Witnessing Lex and William's dynamic ebb and flow was beautiful and worked in a way that I wasn't expecting. The writing style flowed nicely and whilst it felt like a quick read, the plot was complex and detailed in a way that came together perfectly. Overall I adored this read and cannot wait for the next installment in the series!

Here I go being in the minority again. I adored Whit. It’s in my top 3 favorite books I’ve read this year, but this series keeps getting more and more unbelievable and silly as it goes along. I enjoyed Lex and I loved the start of this book. Where did the grumpy guy demanding that Lex hurry up and get the security system done go? It was like he had a personality transplant about half way through. Don’t get me started on Diablo and how his character is portrayed, honestly I think I’ll just skip his book completely because I have no interest in a 12 year old man child who eats like a damn chipmunk. The guys in the series has started to become less Whit like and more 12 year old boy like, which just isn’t for me. So yeah this story was ok, but I didn’t feel the connection between the characters like I did in Whit. I wish she would go back to that type of writing.

I'm sticking with my original rating.
This wasn't good.

A whole lot of nothing.

Besides, is Lex a Brit? Am I missing something? Because there was a lot of BE in there.

The main theme is the older women and Lex and William fucking and having this cheesy, stereotypical love story, so nothing new, nothing interesting.

I didn't like the original cover, but I did like this one, is it dutch? I realized that if authors publish books in Europe, they get substantially better covers.

How can this guy get such a shit story?

I didn't like this book, never will and at this point don't know why the hell I'm even rereading this series.

2.5

In this book I loved Emery, but sadly, not Lex. It's a light, quicker read with no angst and medium spice.

🟣 IT guy / an accountant
🟢 Gay / gfy
🔵 William is 30, Lex a bit younger
🟢 Opposites attract
🟠 Voyeurism
🟡 Series should definitely be read in order
🌶️ Sex is descriptive; virgin, first times, oral, penetrative; both vers

I met Lex in Emery's book and I wasn't really impressed with him, but he was completely over the top in this one.
I waited for his character and his relationship with William to reach a certain depth, just a little bit, but that didn't happen.

Lex and William meet when William's grandma is in an elderly facility and Lex is the guy who's keeping her and her friends company.

From the moment they meet they're sexual and every dialogue is about them having sex.
The insta-love I somehow couldn't get into, their dialogues weren't fluid or romantic enough, I felt like I was listening to two older chaps in the English countryside.
I have absolutely no idea why, but my mind just went there.

William was likeable but aside from the older ladies, not much was happening between him and Lex.

In general I liked the idea of Lex finally finding someone and getting serious, but I also expected for him to grow a little bit as a character.

Not my favourite. Not even a slightly good one.

I absolutely loved Lex, I know this was a hit or miss for some people but I loved it. Subby boys truly are my JAM and William was so subby, needy and delicious, I ate that shit up. The way Lex and William instantly connected and built up to the love and trust they had was so sweet and both those bbys deserved each other. I loved the Emery cameos and all the other side characters and cameos we got as well. Still 5 stars for me 🥹

ok so why did i wait so damn long to read lex? he has easily become one of my absolute favourites, i love the unhinged ones istg, my beautiful babies lex and emery content was everything i had been missing.

lex’s story was nothing that i was expecting??? idrk what i was expecting but it wasn’t this, it wasn’t him being the most adorable and caring soul to some little old ladies who he just melted for, being the adoptive son/grandson they all needed. the banter between him and these ladies was hilarious and so wholesome, made me fall so much deeper for him.

william, what a misunderstood and uptight shy guy, who spent his whole life thinking he wouldn’t feel a connection with anyone returns home after a particular reason sending him away, he returns home to find his grandma and her friends have a younger friend that spends most of his time with them.. he’s suspicious as expected until he gets to know and forms an extremely strong connection with the wild and carefree Lex.

let me tell you, these two were hot and needy and i was pretty much frothing at the mouth when they got spicy, like the teach me trope will never NOT slap. Lex was a perfect teacher and William was the goodest boy for his Lex 🤭

this was gorg and gave my heartstrings a few tugs towards the end, another win in the cora rose unexpected series, a definite fav <3

i dunno why but this one didn't work for me as well as the others in the series. lex wasn't my favorite and i didn't like how he treated william at the beginning. but i absolutely adored william! sweet cinnamon roll man 🥹 i do wish there was more discussion about his sexuality though. and while i loved lex's relationship with the grannies, i felt like at the end that lex didn't think about william's feelings for his own grandmother and the situation. i cannot wait for more of cora's books!

I just finished »Lex« and what a surprise … or actually not 😉 … I LOVED IT! 🥰

Willy & Lexington ❤️
Soft enemies to lovers
Hurt/comfort
Voyeurism/exhibitionism
Ace spectrum rep 🖤🤍💜
TW: loss of a close family member

3 devilishly fun old ladies 😈🥰
Lex and his piercings, tattoos, glossy black nails and silver hair 😍
William and his innocent blue eyes and freckles 😍
Lots of sugar, toys, first times, lace panties .. no more words needed 😍🔥🤤

Lex ... I just love him and his open, always a bit (or very 😉) flirtatious nature! Oh and cute, obedient William and the fact that he could never say "No« to Lex! Well, I guess I couldn't say »No« to Lex either! 🫠🥰 #sorrynotsorry

Lex also has a thing for cameras, especially the hidden ones 😜 … and William, as he discovered, likes to be watched 🎥👀🥰 - such a perfect match, sooo unexpected, as always in this series 😉❤️

And good lord 🙌, it's a pretty good and also quite tasty match 😜 … because William tastes and smells like caramel, black licorice, candy, a York Peppermint Patty, simply like a whole candy store ... and Lex is slightly obsessed with anything sweet! 😏🍭🧁🍩😋🍬🍪

The moments at the end, where they comforted, holding, being strong for each other - and when Lex opened up to William about his brother ... I cried my heart out ... »Me, Lexington. Me. I will love you.« ... I love you too, both of you!! 😭❤️‍🩹 #iamnotcryingyouare

I laughed. I cried. »I. Am. Obsessed.« ... as Lex would say!! 😉🥰💜

PS: loved the cameos from Em, August, Elli-Belly, Amanda!!! 🥰
PPS: Poor Colin was not the love interest again. He and Daniel need and deserve their own (love) story and happy end! Please! 🥺❤️
PPPS: Diablo and Skylar 😱 oh I would be so up for this pairing!
