The enforcer of the King’s Men MC is a psycho.
An unfeeling, apathetically organized chaos.
Less human.
More monster.

He took me to settle a debt.
My dad owes the King’s Men money, and I am nothing more than collateral damage.
Forced to live with him, to sleep in his bed.
Forced to be his.

I hate him.
Everyone always wants something from me, and he isn’t any different.

I should hate him.
Why don’t I hate him?
Why do I let him touch me?
Fall apart in his arms?

Why do I hope… pray that he would keep me close to his side?
Why do I want to belong to a psycho?

It was a sweet, simple, drama-free love story between a lost young girl and her older, a little unhinged MC enforcer and stalker... and you know I'm a sucker for those :)
This one was definitely my favorite one from the series.

Psycho by V.T. Do, is a gritty and suspenseful MC romance that is sure to keep you entertained. The main characters, Micha and Lainey, are easy to root for.

Micha Stone is an unfeeling machine that has gained the moniker "Psycho" as the King's Men MC enforcer.

"The numbness was my friend. I was good at what I did because of this numbness. I was good because of the ice that surrounded my heart." - Micha

Lainey Reyes has been dealt a cruel hand in life. She has suffered neglectful parents and a power-hungry, abusive father.

"Sometimes, it felt like I was screaming, and no one was around to hear. Or perhaps there was someone, they just didn't care." - Lainey

As Micha walks into a convenience store, his eyes lock onto Lainey and he feels an immediate connection. Instinctually he is drawn to her, but he knows that at the age of seventeen, she is too young for him to claim. Over the next three years, he keeps a close eye on her. Unfortunately (or fortunately), her terrible father, trades her in to settle a debt with the King's Men MC. Micha sees this as an opportunity and takes her away with him.

"She belonged to me and only me. I would burn the both of us in the fire of my own destruction before I would ever let her go - or let her belong to anyone else." - Micha

Although they face challenges along the way, they realize that they need each other to heal their fractured souls.

"She needed me in the way I needed her to breathe. To feel human again." - Micha

Overall, I really enjoyed Psycho by V.T. Do! I was fascinated by the seventeen-year age gap between Lainey and Micha, and how they navigated their relationship with little experience in courtship. Their attraction is instant, yet Micha gives Lainey the necessary time and space to adjust to her new life with him. Though Micha has a wild and crazy side, he is a true sweetheart, especially when it comes to Lainey. They have deep love and affection toward each other which was heartwarming to witness.

For those who enjoy captive and/or bully romances, devoted heroes, and taboo claiming rituals, I suggest adding Psycho to your reading list.

Psycho by V.T. Do

She has a stalker leaving her gifts with white roses for three years. Little did she know that he was the psycho.

Lainey worked free labor in The Basement, a local boxing arena her father owned. Taking some of the money isn’t a hard deal when her father is abusive and her need to run is stronger. Until one day she gets home to find the King’s Men MC enforcer standing in their trailer.

Micah wasn’t going to let the girl get away from him. He had waited three years since he first laid eyes on her and decided she was his. Now he will stop at nothing to make her his.

Psycho by V.T. Do 2

This is the fifth and last book in the King’s Men series. It might be the darkest one with a lot of triggering subjects like abuse, violence, blood play, stalking and marking. Micah wasn’t called psycho for no reason and Lainey had the misfortune to catch his interest.

Psycho by V.T. Do 1

I have been looking forward to Micah’s story since I started reading this series. He seemed intimidating, but also interesting. Reading his book made me see more of his story and background.

Lainey is a fighter even though she had her few weak moments. But she seemed like a great match for Micah. Her background might have had the same abuse that Micah suffered, but they both turned up to be different. While Micah went down the emotionless, ruthless path, Lainey wants to finish her education and skip town.

Psycho by V.T. Do 3

Lainey soon learns that Micah wasn’t the man she thought he was. She must face the darkness that lies behind his emotionless facade. In the end, she discovers the truth and learns that not all monsters are what they seem.

Psycho by V.T. Do 4

I think it was a great choice to leave Micah's book as the last book in the series. And as with every book in this series, it was just as emotional and just as engaging.

Seeing the psycho fall in love was a beautiful display of emotion. It shows that even in darkness, love can still reach the coldest of hearts.

I was really enjoying this until it started dragging.
It got old the whole “you’re mine” after awhile. (And I love possessive Heroes!) but somehow it was so repetitive, barely any plot, that I was left feeling…bored.
I actually didn’t finish it, got up to 85% and then put it away.

I was hooked from the start. The story is suspenseful and exciting, I was very entertained and loved the dark romance chemistry. The guy falls first and is her stalker, but I loved how he showed patience and restraint with her, and how he was nurturing despite his psycho ways. I just didn't like all the p**** slaps, because IMO its just so unrealistic how enjoyable its described in the book.

Really loved this series. I truly wish it would keep going! This one was a little heavy on the smexy, lighter on the plot like book 4, but still moved quickly and held my interest to the end :)

Micah and Lainey❤️
Micah; 37 yr, enforcer of the mc, OTT JP, stalker, touch her and die☠️
Lainey; 20 yr, abusive father, using her free labor in his underground fighting ring

Micah first saw Lainey 3 years prior in a gas station and instantly knew she was his! So let the stalking begin. If he wasn’t watching, he had his men looking out for her. Poor Lainey has had it rough. Physically abused by her dad which made her be held back in school. I’m not sure why Micah waited 3 years to act on getting her but once he did😈 I also LOVE how he didn’t screw OW in those 3 years🙌🏻He knew Lainey was it!

Lainey’s dad owes the mc and cannot pay back in time. Micah uses that to his advantage and takes Lainey as payment. Too bad Lainey wasn’t aware of his feelings. She was terrified he came for her and tries to run…all she knows is Micah is the mc enforcer and psycho…he takes her to his place and it doesn’t take long for the sparks to fly🔥Micah takes care of Lainey and she falls for him…lots of club/fighting drama that puts Lainey in danger but Micah takes care☠️of anyone who touches her!

If I was in love with Kai in the last book, damn…Micah must be the love of my life!

His character is so deep and interesting, seeing his character changing the more he was with Lainey. He didn’t really changed but he evolved in the best way possible. She brings out a part of him that wasn’t here before.

His relationship with his brother was really heart warming. Growing up there was just the two of them and despite the years passing, they’re still really close! In the other books, Roman is seen as a scary men etc. but in this book, we see a gentle and affectionate men. Really liked that!

And if I was in love with Micah, I think I’m equally in love with Lainey! Such a strong and sweet woman. Despite her life story she stays strong and keeps a strong mindset.

This is my second book by this author and I still really like the writing. Never makes you bored. Always wants to turn the pages. Etc.

Really recommend this book!

I Am So Hooked!!

I had just found this author and have read one other book in the Kings Men MC so when this book came along, I knew it was a book I needed to get my hands on. I am a lover of dark and dirty MC books and this checked all of the boxes to make it a five-star read for me. With being an enforcer for the Kings Men MC you can only imagine how Micah’s brain worked. It worked out for him that a man who worked for them owned the club money and that is how he got to Lainey.

It wasn’t a “normal” relationship by any means but it was one that was extremely hot with all the craziness to go with it which made it a huge page turner for me. I have to say I’ve become a fan of this author and I will go back to read more books from this series.

This dark romance is not for the faint of heart. Micah "Psycho" Stone is a man that will kill to protect those he loves. The King's Men MC was his whole world until he sees a sprite of a girl. Lainey became his obsession for years until he can finally claim what's his. This book is taboo and dark, and I loved every second of it. Micah was possessive and claimed Lainey whenever he could. He killed for his woman. I was enthralled with the Psycho of the King's Men.

Series Type: Standalone, but connected to a character series.
Book Length: Novel
POV: Alternating Dual
Setting: Sacramento, California
Male MC: Micah Stone is the enforcer of the King’s Men MC. He is someone you would never want to cross unless you have a death wish. Micah is tall and very muscular with a scar running down his cheek. He is 37 and has dark hair and silver eyes.
Female MC: Lainey Reyes is just trying to survive a terrible home life and leave town as soon as she can. Her abusive father agrees to give her to Micah after he reneged on his loan to the MC. Lainey is 20 and is a senior in high school after having to repeat a year. She has long dark hair and green eyes.
Endearment: Baby and Sweetheart
Spice Level: High
Frequency of Spice: Medium
Angst Level: Low
Cliffhanger: No
Epilogue: Yes
My Review: This series is so addicting and one of my favorite MC series of all time! I love all the big, bad, possessive bikers and their over-the-top obsessions with their beautiful women. Each are crazy but absolutely devoted to their girls and I love that about them. I was really looking forward to reading Micah’s book and it did not disappoint whatsoever. Micah is strong, brutal and cold, but he loves his brother, his MC family, and now his sweet Lainey and would do anything to protect those he cares for. I’m so sad to see this series end and I’m hoping we get a second generation or something in the future so we can visit these amazing couples again. Highly recommend!

This Psycho is dark, twisted, and hot AF.

Quote:📖
Lainey. Two simple syllables of a word that rang out in my ears that should have been meaningless. It didn’t sound meaningless. It sounded like…. It sounded like mine.

Thoughts: 💡
This is a spicy fun story about a very dark and twisted psychopath and the girl he claims. She’s 17 years younger than him but they make it work.
The writing mechanics aren’t the best of V.T. Do’s work in this one, but it is good enough not to detract from the story. The actual story itself from the world building, to the character development, and continuity of details throughout the series is great making the story engaging and easy to lose yourself in.

Fun Bits:

⚜️ One Bed
⚜️ Good Girl

Not exactly sure what I read... My problem was never the age gap, but the sickness within the MMC that seems to contaminate everything he touches, including the doormat he saved. He had a horrific past, seemed to love his brother (and his nephew) and tolerate his brother's wife. Ôther than that, his sole purpose in life was the MC. To have found someone that awoke his protective instincts enough for him to wait in the shadows for her to literally grow up, only to physically carve her skin... this is not love, it's obsession from his side and Stockholm Syndrome from hers.

Psyco is a dark, obsessive, virgin age-gap romance full of kinks and taboo steamy scenes by V.T. Do. This book drew me in from the start and kept me captivated until the end. This is the second book I've read from V.T. Do and she is quickly becoming a go-to author of mine.
Micah "Psycho" Stone has a dangerous fearful reputation around town for good reason. He was barely holding onto his humanity and dealing with his brother not needing him like he did when they were little. It really felt like he was barely holding on until he saw Lainey for the first time and she became his new obsession. Lainey didn't have a happy childhood at all. She's 20 years old and still, a senior in high school who's used by her dad for his underground fight ring. I felt for this girl and was so glad she was strong enough not to just give up when it felt like everything was against her. After years of watching her, Psycho decided to make his move to get her when the trouble started brewing for the club, and her dad was somehow involved. He vows to kill the world for her to keep her safe. The thing I found interesting about Lainey is that growing up around a fighting ring she wasn't immune to violence, she hated it.
I gave this book a 4-star rating and a 5-spicy rating. The spicy scenes were hot and steamy. Kinky just like I like them. The only disappointment I had was that the first half of the book felt like it was drawn out too much for me and repetitive. I definitely recommend this book to those who like dark erotica and don't mind triggers, this book is full of them. I can't wait to see what V.T. Do brings us next in The Kings Men MC series.

This book was absolutely addicting! I was immediately hooked and devoured this incredible 5-star read in one sitting. Readers that love dominant unashamed psycho anti-heroes that stalk and claim the woman they are obsessed with will love this book!

Micah Stone is the psychotic enforcer of the King Men’s MC. He’s big, dangerous, powerful, and absolutely crazy. Lainey Reyes is a young woman struggling to survive with an abusive father, school bullies, and creepy men always lurking around. She’s hyper-focused on saving enough money to one day escape the hellhole she calls home. Micah spots Lainey at a gas station one day and becomes fixated on her. He stays on the outskirts of her life for 3 years, as she’s underage, but he’s always there. An opportunity arises when Micah can steal Lainey away from her life when her father trades his daughter to cover a debt he cannot pay.

Micah is definitely twisted and is absolutely a giant walking red flag. He’s totally unashamed and has zero remorse for his actions, thoughts, and behavior. What makes him so swoon-worthy is that he’s never cruel or awful toward Lainey. He’s firm and demanding, but he’s also so gentle and patient. I’m seriously obsessed with Micah and he’s definitely in my top ten book boyfriends. He’s insane in all the best ways! The spice was *chefs kiss* SO GOOD even as a slower burn book.

Tropes: Contemporary romance, MC romance, age gap, anti-hero, over-the-top, instalove, enemies-to-lovers, stalker, captive, virgin heroine, happily-ever-after
Heat: 5/5.

Finally, it is Micah's turn to find his happily ever after.

Micah has always been portrayed as unemotional, cold, and cruel. He can kill without a thought and is somewhat of a psycho. Unsurprisingly, when he finally finds someone, he becomes completely obsessed and stalks her for years before making a move. That she is almost two decades younger than him doesn't matter at all. And when she is finally in his arms, he is never letting her go.

Lainey is quite miserable; she has been dealt some truly shitty cards with an abusive and uncaring dad and a mum who is a whore and not around anymore. The last drop is her being sold to Micah as payment for her father's death.

But when she realizes Micah is the mysterious stalker who has left roses for her the last few years, and he doesn't treat her as a prisoner, she starts to believe things might not turn out too bad after all. He is clearly a psycho, but he is her psycho.

As with the other men in the crew, Micah is possessive, protective, and completely obsessed. I wish we could have delved even more into why he was so cold. We scratch the surface with childhood memories and mentioning his mother's death, but I'd hoped more would be revealed.

All the books in this series have had plenty of action, intense chemistry, and pulse-quickening bedroom scenes; this book is no exception. It is a bit slow initially, but then we get the same sound quality as ever. It is closer to 3.5 stars than 4.

I suspect this might be the end of the series; if so, it was a worthy ending!

I really liked Micah and lainey's story. With how scary and crazy and a remorseless psycho killer he was built up to be, I was expecting this book to be the darkest one. Maybe because of the additions to the family via marriage, the club and especially the births he started to soften and become more humanized before lainey even showed, but seeing him open up in a different way brought a different element to the story. So it wasn't really a dark read to me but I still enjoyed it and the buildup of his relationship with Lainey and how his relationship with his brother may have changed but the love is still strong and kind of sweet. I liked that although Lainey stayed in some bad situations until she thought she could wait it out or find a way out she wasn't a complete doormat and she definitely showed at different times throughout the book she had some fight in her. I would have liked a extended or longer epilogue to see the eventual birth of their kid or a bit after the baby was born. And also to see Micahs perspective of having a kid, how he deals with being a father and having a kid of his own to be protective and possessive over. Not sure if the series is complete but I hope not because I'll miss the characters. I wouldn't mind seeing Blue and Brody get books, as well as the next generation with all their kids as the main characters, maybe starting with Doms second oldest son. This is Book 5 in what has been a thoroughly entertaining and steamy series centred around The King's Men MC and this one doesn't disappoint. I fear, alas, it is the last in the series...

I've been waiting to get more on Micah, the MC's physically enormous, enigmatic and frankly scary 'Enforcer' and boy does he live up to his nickname of Psycho.

A chance encounter (they don't even speak and she doesn't see him) at a gas station with Lainey - the young and vulnerable heroine - starts a 3 year stalking campaign, with only one aim in mind, to make her his.

Some of my favourite tropes. MC anti hero; obsessive; possessive; single minded; only eyes for her kind of guy and a heroine who is a survivor of a hideous past and an evil father.

My only tiny criticism is that Micah does use the same 'carrot and stick' to keep her from rebelling as her hideous father did.

Never the mind. It is still So steamy - Micah you're a force! - and a page turning read. I'm so happy I've read them all as we meet some familiar characters here too.

I might just treat myself and start the series all over again....

Can't say fairer than that.

This is a Dark Romantic Suspense, and this is the 5th book in the King's Men MC series. I have not read the other books in this series before picking up this book, but I think you can read this book as a standalone without any problems. This book is not going to be for everyone because it does have some dark stuff in it (drugs, killing, abuse, blood scenes, and much more). There are some very detailed steamy times in this book where there are some of those steamy times parts as blood/cutting in them. I cannot have done without the steamy times that as blood/cutting in them, but there were warnings about them so I know they were in the book. I enjoyed the characters in this book, and the book made me want to keep reading. I loved seeing the dark/bad side and the good side of Micah, and I love seeing him come to see that he really loves Lainey. If you love Dark MC books then you should give this series a try, and I am going to go back and read the first books in this series. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher or author (V.T. Do) via Booksirens, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

Very dark, age-gap, illicit transaction turns to love romance
I devoured this book! If you want a book that keeps you spell-bound with unambiguous naughty doings and explicit depraved events, you will want to read this book. First book by V.T. Do that I have read. Whoa…Read and heed the warnings. I loved it! I’ll admit however, that I had no fingernails left by the end…
I don’t usually read MC related stories but this series seems highly entertaining. In this book we have a male main character, 37yo Micah who is irreverent with no concern for life except when it comes to 20yo Lainey, his obsession. We know from the prologue that he fell in lust with her when she was only 17yo and then watched her for three years before he made his move. Admittedly, there were times when it was difficult to like Micah with the things he does for the King’s Men MC as their Enforcer.
This book is raw, gritty, sometimes gruesome, sometimes sensitive and most often thrilling with lots of steam! Well-written, well-edited, with perfect pacing. If the cautions don’t bother you, go for it. This book is wonderful! I volunteered to review an ARC of it through BookSirens.

Gosh after reading another of V.T.Dos books im wanting more. I honestly cant get enough of these men. This may be a dark MC book but my gosh it is stunningly good. A book where the characters will hook you and reel you into their lives.

Micah, saw her at the gas station first and he was hooked. He was obsessed with her, then three years later he decided it was time to make her his and claim her.
Lainey, she hated been at the fighting club working for her father because she was free labour. She had to be careful around him, less he hit her again. Then one day she was given to Micah, the enforcer for the Kings Men MC for a debt that her father owed. Hearing all sorts about Micah she want sure about him, however he treated her with the upmost care and consideration and she grew to have feelings.

There is another rival gang trying to take them down, one which the men thought Micah had gottton rid of, but they have come back with a vengence. Who is their leader?

This is another Must read. I really didnt want to put this one down at all. So readers enjoy!!!!.

Michah and Lainey are the next story in the Kings Men MC series. Considering the title and what we knew about Micah from previous books, I thought it would be dark. If you are hesitant to pick this up because you are worried about the "darkness," I would say it is actually on the mild side of dark. This isn't a love story either, it is more of a stalker, insta-lust, and then the h just accepts it. There are sweet moments, and I loved the secondary story of Micah and Roman and learning their backstory.
Did you know that the H has silver eyes? If you missed that, don't worry, it's mentioned 23 times. Please stop with the repetition; you are not making a point; you are treating your readers like idiots.
Having said all that, I did enjoy this book; it just isn't what I was expecting or promised.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - excellent, would recommend, will reread
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - great
⭐️⭐️⭐️ - good
⭐️⭐️ - ok, forgettable, had issues with plot and/or characters
⭐️ - dnf, would not recommend, terrible.

This was a disappointing read for me. It was amusing, but I had a lot of issues. I was excited to read this one because the MC's nickname is 'Psycho'. Maybe I have been reading too many dark romance lately because I couldn't stop wondering when the psycho part would start. He was just a guy, maybe a bit murdery but nothing about him gave psycho vibes.

Besides the lack in psychoticness, I had more problems with this one. The large age gap was wholly unnecessary. The FMC could've been college age when he saw her and the story wouldn't have changed. Why did she have to be 17 when he, mid thirties, saw her for the first time? Less psycho, more creep vibes.

This book also barely passes the Bechdel test, which is quite remarkable in a romance book. Why barely? The FMC is hit in the face by another girl because of the behaviour of the girl's father. This is the only interaction she has with another female.

There was a lot of potential in this one, sadly it didn't deliver.

Holy cow this book was intense. I loved every minute of it while I was reading it. This is a dark MC romance with an age gap and other spicy fun things. There is action and lots and lots of angst. The characters were complex and had chemistry. The story was original in thought. I enjoyed the world that the author created. It was perfectly detailed and captivated me from the beginning. This is the first book that I have read by V.T Do. I loved the writing style and the story that she told. It was exciting, nail-biting, and had grit. It is part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone. I will be going back and reading the previous books this series looks to be a binge read in my future.

Lainey was strong, witty, and determined. I felt so many emotions when reading about Lainey's life. I loved her determination most of all. Micha was broody, dark, and loyal. He was obsessive and possessive. I loved their chemistry and the push and pull throughout this story.

I was hooked from the first page. I mean the headline says it all about what type of men I search in books 😅 and ph my, he was really unhinged psycho.

My issue was last 20% it all kind of fell apart, it went a bit off script. I felt this unhinged moment of let’s carve each others names on each others bodies were unnecessary and out of character for h.

Also, h demanded to be there to see H fight in a cage! Oh, cmon! It’s like the 90-00’ horror movies- there is always that blonde girl who goes towards the danger: Hello? Is anyone there?

That aside, I think it was written well, characters were great and their stories were good. I will definitely dive into other character books. Love the writing style!
