Parents Prepping For The Multilingual Future by Daniel O ‘Hern is a studying and teaching type of book which makes reference to, as the title suggests, teaching children how to speak another language. I agree with the author when he states that having the skill of being bilingual allows the development of cognition as well as emotional intelligence. So, in my opinion, this book will help both parents, and children to be ready for the outside world.

The book not only presents methods for learning, but also techniques and strategies to make it appealing and fun. I found interesting the fact that every tip presented to learn can help learn any other language. This is priceless. Moreover, the language used by the author is clear and simple, making it possible for everyone to understand the message and the steps he suggests following. I’m applying this method with my kids for sure.

Parents Prepping For The Multilingual Future by O'Hern was written in the form of a teaching reference guide. As such, it is informative and loaded with ideas and tips on how to raise a bilingual child. I learned a lot from this book, especially that teaching a kid to speak two different languages go beyond speaking to them in those languages, it requires more exposure which should be of different types and related to the four skills.
The fact that the author himself has lived in different countries gives credibility to what he is trying to convey to us and this is definitely a plus. This book is useful for bilingual parents, their kids and for anyone who is curious about the topic or would like to know a bit more about it.

I found the book's layout extremely helpful. It’s widely known that in our current times it is imperative to speak more than one language. The author, Daniel O’Hern, masterfully covers this topic.
As the title suggests, it’s a practical guide for parents who desire to raise their multilingual kids. As regards the content, its pages are full of actual and practical suggestions. It’s quite concise without repetition of boring facts due to the author’s experience and wisdom.
Daniel starts with some general questions such as “What does it mean to be bilingual?” or “Did you think about how you would teach your child to speak English?” and then brings into the research.
Something I liked about the writing organization is that he begins from the most common to the most specific topics.

Parents Prepping For The Multilingual Future: Raise Your Children To Be Bilingual Even If You Only Speak English by Daniel O’Hern is a book that advocates for children to be taught extra languages starting at a young age, as well as tips and data to back it up. With more time on your hands at minimum, language-learning is easier to pick up in your younger years, and it’s a skill that can be built upon.
There are many benefits—increased future opportunities and interest in new cultures for example—to regular, immersive exposure to target languages. I enjoyed this interesting read on something I’m pretty passionate about, and found it enlightening and liked the emphasis put on the non-linguistic aspects of language learning.

Speaking from personal experience, I can certify that learning a second language opened my mind. It can be difficult and frustrating, but the reward is awesome, especially for extremely social people like myself. It's one skill that I wouldn´t trade for anything in the world, and the best way to start is at a young age when your brain just learns faster.

In "Parents Prepping For The Multilingual Future," there is a lot of useful information about the subject, different techniques, and methods to prep any kid to learn a new language. The benefits are incalculable, and I consider this book, written by Daniel O'Hern, to be a great first step in the right direction.

Definitely recommended

This is such a helpful book. My partner and I have different nationalities and culture. I find that this resource material would be a lot of benefit for us in the future when we have our child as we plan to raise her or him as a bilingual who speaks my language as well as my partner's, and maybe more languages. The strategies and explanations were so well-done and I find them easy to understand and connect. Through this book I learned that everything could be possible and that bilingualism is not that difficult to achieve. I wish my parents had this book when I was a kid, it would have been amazing to learn new languages as a child!

One of the things I like the most about this book is that it gives different approaches and tools to help different kids. Not all learn the same way and at the same time, so having options is a really good asset this guide has.

I'm trying to teach my niece another language, so "Parents Prepping For The Multilingual Future" came very handy. Kids are not going to realize how important it is until a certain age, so helping them learn in ways that don't bore them seems really important to me.

Daniel O'Hern guide is a priceless guide that would benefit the student and the teacher. I liked it.

Fantastic Resource

As a multilingual person. I want to ensure my children are able to speak and understand other languages. Between my husband and I we speak 5 languages and I needed help for teaching my kids. This book is a great Resource in helping making the task not seem impossible. The author is talented in giving you confidence that teaching second language is not hard and can be fun. Lesson plans are less the focus, rather how we can bring the new language into our every day life. I found this book to be very helpful to me.

every child needs this

This is one of those books that just needed to exist. Every child should be raised in a bilingual environment. Of course, some languages are more important than others depending on where you are, but I’m so grateful for all the languages I learned in my adolescence because it made my adult life much easier and I’m certainly doing the same thing for my children.

Promising opening chapter. Holistically, though, this book is has dire growth opportunities. It contains some strategies that are supportive of acquiring an additional language.

There are severe inaccuracies in this book that could have been avoided by more thorough research and reading, particularly into Asian languages. Teaching strategies suggested are perched on a steep slippery slope.

Repetition throughout that the author admits.

Definitely not the book for me.
