This is one of those books you should keep coming back to for small bites than to be devoured as whole . The book is split into 2 sets of Rituals one keeping the energy of Sun at core and the other with the Moon. Holistic coverage from diet to practices which cover most aspects of daily life . The author has also called out disclaimers wherever some of the suggestions do not have a scientific backing but are steeped in ancient knowledge of ayurveda or Chinese medicine. Most of the recommendations are basis her on own experiences. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the content , myriad of topics covered - a good book when you want to read something light , over a period of time and put into practice.
“We psyche our minds to shut out painful memories and choose the ones that we want to remember. This is a coping mechanism, but the goal of journalling is not just to resist painful memories and grasp at positive ones, but to acknowledge all memories and their accompanying emotions.”
“Perhaps it is considered futile in the modern world because we don't really "do' anything when asleep.”
“But the reality is that qualitative hours of sleep enhance the body's function, priming it to be more productive during the day.”
“intermittent fasting reduces inflammation, enhances metabolism, clears toxins from damaged cells and improves a range of ailments.”

This book serves as a guide to healthy living , shares an insight to daily practices that make our lives easier . As a beginner to ayurveda this is very easy to comprehend and follow.
This was an interesting book, one I finished in a matter of hours, because I had not read a book like this before. The book explains the various sun (morning) and moon (night) rituals that we can all follow in a holistic manner that would lead to the betterment of our lives and health. The book also just does not make claims, it has all references and sources for all its claims and focuses more on using Ayurvedic traditions in our modern day lives.
I liked everything about this book starting from the cover to the organisation of the chapters and the basic advice the author gives that can enhance our living. I definitely hope to follow some of these tips in my day to day life because not only are they simple and easy, but also very meaningful.
This book has now interested me so much that I want to read the author's other books too. Hopefully I'll get to them soon as well. But for now, 4 stars and kudos!
