I absolutely adore this series, but this was not what I expected after waiting so long for this volume to be published. I personally felt like it was all over the place and the story is just becoming so dull. Overall, I’m feeling a bit disappointed with this volume and curious to see what the next will bring.

The last two entries (5 and 6) just really haven’t resonated with me and the story feels rather directionless. My recommendation for anyone reading this is read volumes 1-4 then stop, because those are by far the best entries and where the story is at its most interesting.

Kind of a shame, but I’m still glad I picked it up.

What the actual fuck is going on in the story. It used to be soo so good, but now it seems like an absolute mess. I don’t think i’ll continue with this series. It all went to shit with the last volume when they focused on the younger brother and the ex-fiancee. I really wanted to know if Shun and Mio would sorta /love each other/. They don’t seem like lovers anymore even with the timeskip, they just seem like…friends in passing. Not even “best friends”.

The 5th volume of Harukaze no Étranger was an enjoyable read but I am getting a little worried. I know this manga was always just about the two main characters being cute and navigating life as two gay guys. That is still present of course and I enjoy it very much but I'm confused as to what is the endgame? Is there an ending that this manga is building to or is it a slice of life that just is. I don't know but I do not hate it. I still enjoy this manga very much

True slice of life. I really feel like you can understand the creator’s state of mind by reading this, for better or for worse. Maybe others don’t like it but I think it’s cool to see the creator and the characters growing and changing together :)

Creo que aquí se queda mi trayectoria con esta obra. El tomo único y los primeros tomos de Un extraño en primavera me parecían bastante buenos, me gustaba el ritmo. Pero sinceramente ha sido un cuesta abajo y sin frenos. Los personajes parece que involucionan en vez de evolucionar, al igual que su relación. Se supone que han pasado años y ya llevan mucho de relación y ambos parecen mil veces más inmaduros que antes 😅 van sin rumbo fijo y creo que ni si quiera saben por qué están juntos. La autora se va por las ramas con el tema del hermano y cuenta cosas que no me parecen nada interesantes. Creo que hubiera sido mejor que la historia acabase hace tiempo pero sigue abierta y cada vez es menos interesante. Es una pena porque empezó siendo una historia bonita y achuchable, con un dibujo súper único. Pero ahora solo ves a dos treintañeros perdidos en la vida sin saber que hacer con ella ni con su relación🥹y yo ya me he cansado.
