Mission: Uncovered is a brand-new, never-before-published crossover novella for Treasure Hunter Security/Team 52/Norcross Security. You don't have to have read any of the series to enjoy the adventure. Happy reading!
Amber Butler is out to prove herself: to her sister, herself, and especially to her bosses at Treasure Hunter Security. If her mission involves trekking into the desert with someone from the covert black ops Team 52, she'll do it.
But what she doesn't expect is for that someone to be her smoking hot Vegas one-night stand.
I’m a USA Today bestselling romance author who’s passionate about fast-paced, emotion-filled romantic suspense and science-fiction romance. I love writing about people overcoming unbeatable odds and achieving seemingly impossible goals. I like to believe it’s possible for all of us to do the same.
I love hearing from readers and you can find me on Facebook, Instagram and my website: www.annahackett.com
Well the author did a fabulous job of bringing characters from several series together to give readers a crossover adventure that is truly typical of her writing style. Action and adventures featuring nefarious bad guys who truly don't really think through the consequences of their actions. Then of course there's the romance which is integral to this fast paced story. A big growly Garrett who has been trying to locate the one night stand of his dreams finally finds her in the most unexpected way. Amber whilst welcome with her sisters new family is still trying to figure out just what she really wants but she's very sure that another night with Garrett would be worth every second ! I think for me it's the interactions between all these big tough characters that made me smile the most and I won't deny that the final paragraph was just too cute for words ! Fun and a happy ending what more could we ask for ? This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
This is a wonderful story that brought together characters from three different series while they tried to save people from a dangerous toxin. We got to revisit couples from THS, Team 52 and Norcross and see how they're all doing now. (Good fun!) Amber and Garrett were fab together. I also really loved seeing how the teams all supported each other, while engaging in friendly competition, as they raced against the bad guys. There is a ton of action, some humour, mystery, and a smoking hot romance - keeping me glued, first page to last. I can't say enough about how great the characters were and how fun this reading adventure was.
Amber Butler is good at what she does – she just believes she has a difficult time making good choices. She’s having a difficult time letting go of the fact that one of her choices went so very wrong that her sister Peri had to hire Treasure Hunter Security (that story is in Unmapped) to rescue her from the deadly black-market antiquities ring, Silk Road.
Amber believed the job they hired her for, to trek to Antarctica to locate a buried treasure that was a lot more than it seemed – even as her current employers turned out to be a lot worse than they seemed.
Amber took a few hits to her confidence, but in the end Treasure Hunter Security saved the day, Peri met the love of her life, and Amber got herself a new job with people she can trust – that very same Treasure Hunter Security.
After all, she’s an accomplished wilderness guide and occasional treasure hunter. She’s a perfect fit for their organization. Not to mention her about-to-be brother-in-law wants to keep an eye on his future sister-in-law, and her sister wants her working with people who can be trusted.
It should be a win-win-win, but Amber’s still not quite trusting herself. She wants to be seen as a responsible adult and earn her place at THS. But as Amber isn’t currently trusting her judgment or her choices, her plan is to put her nose to the proverbial grindstone, keep her eyes on that prize, and swear off relationships until she feels like she has her act together.
A set of resolutions that flies out the window at escape velocity when THS sends her on THE perfect job for her with the man she never expected to see again. Her last wild one-night stand before she started her new job and made all those oh-so-responsible resolutions.
Treasure Hunter Security has teamed up with their friendly rivals at Team 52 to hunt down a deadly ancient relic in the desert surrounding Lake Mead. Team 52 has brought their newest recruit to team up with Amber and reach Montezuma’s real – and really toxic – revenge before the villains can reverse engineer the old formula and create a weapon of bioterrorism like the world has never seen.
All Amber has to do is guide the hottest man she’s ever slept with to find a relic that’s been lost for centuries in a cave that’s been underwater for decades while resisting every impulse in her body to jump him again. And again.
But Team 52 agent Garrett Webb has plans of his own. His resolution is to tempt Amber to break every single one of hers. Before, during and after they get the villains put down.
Escape Rating A-: If you’ve followed Anna Hackett’s interconnected series, or at least her contemporary action adventure romances, Mission: Uncovered is a terrific coda for all of them. It’s not just that the mission is a joint operation between Team 52 and Treasure Hunter Security, but the Norcross Security folks get to mix in a bit as well. So for fans, this novella is a real treat.
For readers new to the author, Mission: Uncovered is a terrific introduction. While the references to the previous series are fun, the main story is completely new. Amber and Garrett are both new to their respective organizations, still trying to find their places.
Including, they each secretly hope, with each other.
The relic they have to retrieve is itself both old and new. On the one hand, yes, it’s THAT Montezuma. On the other, the cave in which the relic has been hiding all these centuries was at least partially submerged by the construction of Hoover Dam. Falling lake levels may have revealed the formerly hidden entrance.
What makes the story so much fun – in addition to the historical references which I always love – is the romance between Amber and Garrett. They’re both emotionally wounded and neither completely trusts their own judgment when they first meet. It takes them both time and trust to realize that they’re better together than either would be separately, and then they have to be able to trust themselves to decide to give it a go.
So a lovely romance where two people rescue each other into an HEA that is very much earned.
If the author’s work intrigues you, and I hope it does, there are plenty to choose from and all of them are terrific. If you’re specifically interested in Mission: Uncovered, there’s a lovely little bit of a dilemma to get it. This story was written specifically to be a free offering from the Protector Romance Book Club, and if you want it RIGHT NOW you’ll need to join the Book Club to get it – along with the December introductory novellas from another author contributing to the club. Which does sound like a whole lot of win. If you are willing to wait and/or work your binge reading way through Treasure Hunter Security and Team 52 and Norcross Security first, Mission: Uncovered will probably be available at some point in the future. But why wait?
Amber Butler is working for Treasure Hunter Security (THS) and trying to put her ‘wild child’ tendencies away for good. She had a wild night several weeks earlier with a man named Garrett, who specified that it was one night only, and no personal information was shared. Since then, she’s been focusing on her job. Garrett Webb is the newest hire for Team 52, and was sorely disappointed when he woke up a few weeks earlier, and Amber was gone. He’s been thinking of her ever since. When Denver-based THS, Las Vegas-based Team 52, and San Francisco-based Norcross Security join forces to find some missing treasure, they meet again, and things get a little crazy! One of the best things about merging these three separate ‘worlds’ is the interaction between the groups, and the glimpses that readers get of the lives of characters that we’ve read about and have grown to care about.
This story involves a missing treasure and some miquiztli toxin that could kill large numbers of people if it were to be used for harm by the evil villains who want it. It’s up to Amber and Garrett to keep that from happening. And it’s up the combined forces from all three teams to support Amber and Garrett when needed, and to celebrate with them in one of the most awkward closing scenes in recent memory in any book! Anna Hackett must have enjoyed writing this story!! And readers will enjoy reading it—especially that closing scene!!
It doesn’t get any better than the HOT teams of Norcross Security, Treasure Hunter Security, and Black ops- Team 52 working the same case, working together. OMG! Be still my beating heart! The case that brought all these teams together is finding the famous Montezuma treasure. Their search centers in Nevada around the much lower water level of Lake Mead and is not just for gold and jewels but also a deadly bioweapon. Amber Butler, a subcontractor working for Treasure Hunter Security, is the lead in this new case because of her vast experience as a wilderness guide and a climber. The “muscle” will be Garrett Webb, a new member of Team 52. This will be one HOT team because a few weeks ago these two strangers spent a night of sexual bliss in Las Vegas. What an adventure Anna Hackett takes us on. There’s lots of action! There’s plenty of romance! And… It’s FULL of GREAT CHARACTERS! I LOVED this short novella. I received a free advanced copy from Bookfunnel and am thrilled to give my opinion of the story. Linda
Don't you just love it when your book-boyfriend worlds all merge into one book!
Amber has been working freelance for Treasure Hunter Security (THS) since she was rescued and she is determined that the reckless wildchild she had been will stay locked down. She's going to be sensible from now on.
When she is paired with Garrett from Team 52 she's thrown for a loop. They had a hot and heavy ONS and she left in the dead of night, not even saying goodbye. Garrett remembers the redhead of his dreams and fantasies and he'll use this mission as a chance to get to know her and maybe get her to give him another try.
Missing treasure, fatal toxins, mystery, and good-natured rivalry between the teams and MCs who are off the charts hot. I love crossovers and this was a chance to have three of my favorite series combine. All those book-boyfriends in one place!
The closing scene almost made me choke with laughter! Talk about awkward LOL
A very fun romp (treasure! danger! steamy looks!) with the various and sundry crews of THS, Team 52, and Norcross. In other words, there's a whole lot of testosterone and hard muscles and I AM HERE FOR IT.
Our main couple? Amber and Garrett. She's trying to find her responsible groove after a lifetime of living life on edge (and ending up the hostage of some very bad people as a result, but that's another story for another day) and he's a marine trying to fit back into civilian life after a mission gone bad. She works (sort of) for THS, he's part of Team 52. Frankly, they make a good treasure hunting team regardless of who signs their paychecks.
A little danger, a lot of treasure, a deadly toxin that needs to be recovered, and two people making a steamy connection in some unconventional places. I LIKE.
“Mission Uncovered” is a page-turner read with loads of suspense, action, humor, and flaming-hot romance. Character interaction is spot on, and I craved more at the end.
Former US Marine Force Recon Garrett Webb is a member of Team 52. Skilled guide and mountain climber Amber Butler is a member of Treasure Hunter Security. They are sent on a dangerous desert mission at the request of Vander from Norcross Security and Team 52’s leader, Lachlan. They face life-threatening issues before reaching their happy forever.
Loved the mixture of characters from the author’s suspense romance series. Garrett and Amber work well as a team and their romance shines. Backstories give insight into the character’s personas. Fantastic conclusion and this is an ARC review.
This crossover of Anna Hackett's teams was the perfect short and sexy, dangerous and adventurous read. All of those big alpha men with strong personalities coming together for one job...talk about whoa!
I loved Amber. She was just a badass. Smart and savvy and getting herself together after one too many blows. She didn't have time to mess around with a relationship. Until the one night stand she couldn't get out of her head, Garrett come strutting into her mission.
Oh that man was something else. He knew he wanted Amber and he wasn't shy about letting her know it. Especially when the bullets started flying and his new objective was to keep her safe.
Mission: Uncovered was a wild and sexy ride from start to finish and I didn't want it to end.
Amber’s sister Peri works for the Treasure Hunter security, and Amber works as a contractor.. The two Norcross brothers come in to request help to retrieve an artefact created by Incas.. located somewhere near Lake Mead.. The lake is currently at lower capacity than normal.. the artefact is part of a hidden treasure. Then in walks Lachlan Hunter, from Team 52, they heard about the retrieval and want to ensure that they get a biological weapon which is part of the treasure hoard is protected from terrorists. Amber is leading the mission and Lachlan brings in his newest recruit.. Garrett…. Amber and Garrett had shared a steamy one night stand neither can forget.. This mission just got complicated! Great story

Amber was presented with the opportunity of her life, and twice! Not only to prove her worth, but also to get her Mister Right. The attraction between Amber and Garrett was intense and overwhelming. I liked how Amber acknowledges how she had changed and shows herself to be more mature after her past bad choices. Interesting descriptions and narrations of the adventure and how the Treasure Hunter Security, Norton Security and Team 52 teams were involved in a joint mission. Action, suspense, adventure, danger, camaraderie, strong emotions, interesting historical data, romance, and passion. Quite a treat!
I loved tagging along with Amber and Garrett. Amber thought that she was messed up as she never finished what she started and she blamed her missionary parents. She was a dang good rock climber, and she worked for a company that let her do her thing, but then she had a one night stand with a guy she met at a concert and she slipped away as dawn broke the next morning . Now he had found her and they were paired together to hunt for an ancient toxin that could kill hundreds of thousands of people if it got in the wrong hands. I liked that Garrett kept looking for Amber as she was the woman of his dreams and he could not wait to find her, the problem was they never shared their last names!
Terrific action and romance! Amber Butler thinks she must prove herself to her bosses and colleagues at Treasure Hunter Security. So when an opportunity to do so falls into her lap she jumps at the chance. She knows she can be a bit of a big risk-taker but has been trying to temper her wilder inclinations and be an adult. This is especially after a particularly enthusiastic sexy evening spent with a stranger, a stranger who is now a new employee at THS—Garrett Webb. I loved the way Anna Hackett wove their little ‘romantic’ misunderstanding into a weird and wonderful accompaniment to THS’ newest case involving a mysterious ancient toxin that threatens the world. THS is needed to assist the two, along with support from Team 52 and Norcross Security when the going gets tough and the villains get tougher! AH certainly knows how to ‘thrillify’ a plot! I received an advanced copy of this book and freely leave this honest review.
Yes yes and more yes! This is a great crossover novella and I loved every moment of it. It did not have every character that I love from each series, but it definitely had all the major characters, action, romance, humor and play on history with mythology that I love reading from this author. I do recommend reading all the different series before the story to enjoy all the character and relationship dynamics, but it also could be the first read that makes you want to dive into these three worlds! A great addition and read!
Team 52 teams up with Treasure Hunter Security & Norcross Security for a mission. As short as this story is, there is plenty of action and romance.
Amber, twin sister to Peri from Unmapped-Treasure Hunter Security 6, works with the Treasure Hunters. Garrett is Team 52's new recruit. They're on the hunt for Montezuma's Treasure & a dangerous toxin. Will they find and secure it before the crime syndicate?
This is a wonderful crossover of Treasure Hunter Security, Team 52, and Norcross. It can be read as a stand-alone, but it is even more exciting for fans that have enjoyed all the connected books. Amber and Garrett are awesome together and their mission is very interesting too! The appearances of beloved characters make sense in the story and make it even more awesome!
Got this for free on a subscription. Simple -probably a -novella. Lots of feature of other characters which definitely have their own book and aims to make you want to read their book. Or just little tidbit cameo to satisfy reader's cravings.
Is about Amber and Garrett. Started with a one night stand but fates a funny thing and decides to throw them back together for a mission.
This is a high intensity read! Full of action, heat and twists. The "pretzel" and the "butter churner" made my eyes cross! I loved Emmy and the ending! I received an advanced copy of this book and freely leave this honest review.
I simply adored this book, with the storyline mixing in Treasure Hunter Security, Team 52 and Norcross Security all on the job. Its great, I can't wait for the next book. I received this book as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
I loved Amber and Garrett. If you love Anna's Treasure Hunter, Team 52 and Norcross books, you will LOVE this book. All our favorite characters are in it, but we get to see Amber and Garrett fall in love as they work together.
Ahhh, this makes me miss the Treasure Hunter Security series, and the start of the Team 52 series - a good crossover. I guess the two suit guys are from a newer series, but I've pretty much lost interest in this author for the moment - too much of the same plot over and over.
Loved this crossover between Anna’s hot Norcross security, Team 52 and Treasure Hunters books as Team 52’s Garrett and Treasure Hunters Amber save treasure from the bad guys and anything that has the smexy Vander from Norcross is a bonus..
This was a really great book, but it should have been as long as the others woth more details about how Garrett and Amber met. Considering this book mentions Norcross Securoty, Team 52, and THS, the book should have included more detail in that and actually involved all the teams more.
I mean basically I could write the exact same review for this one that I’ve written for the last one, except that this was even crazier which (for a book of this length) made me lower my writing… It’s just “jungle p***”🤷🏼♀️ But also a quick novella perfect for in between correcting… 2⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶🌶.5
