Corrupting Lust: A Sons of Satan Novel

Rate this book
They say orgasms are heavenly, but mine brought me to Hell.
As a sex-talk podcaster, sex wasn’t new to me. However, having my one-night stand shove his bleeding wrist over my mouth and stab me in the heart with a dagger mid-orgasm wasn’t a kink I was familiar with.
Waking up in Hell with a self-proclaimed prince of Lust, who sported two horns and a tail, made me question my sanity. But when he told me I was a demon too, everything I knew imploded in my face.
I never hung around my hookups for more than one night, ever, but this infuriating demon demanded I rule the lust hell circle as his queen. He had another thing coming if he thought I’d sit prettily on a throne while he pulled the strings, though.
It wasn’t until his chamberlain and knight made their appearances that I decided being in Hell wouldn’t be so bad.
Turns out, Corrupting Lust was what I was made for.

Corrupting Lust is a paranormal why-choose romance standalone with a guaranteed HEA. It contains mature subject matter that may not be suitable for all readers. This novel is in the multi-author shared world, Sons of Satan. Be sure to read all seven books for a hellish good time!

Meh.
This wasn’t as good as I was hoping it would be.
The world, magic, and creatures were cool.
But the relationships, and the prince especially, just didn’t live up to expectations.
Not to mention, I didn’t feel an ounce of connection to the FMC.
I understood her stance on things, don’t get me wrong. But she just came off as a bit whiny, and kind of annoying, and honestly, a little mean at times.
I mean. Sorin was an absolute cuntwaffle most of the time…so I sort of got it.

I don’t know.
I think most of my problem with this book was Sorin and Nova. I just didn’t really like them.
Plus the dialogue was sort of in that weird cringy zone that I hate.

🤷🏻‍♀️
It wasn’t for me, I think.
Oh well.

Absolutely amazing!! I love the worlds that Lyra builds! She is so attentive to detail and immerses you so completely into the story and world. This book does have a few triggers, so please be aware. However, the story was AMAZING! The FMC was so inspiring and strong given her past and obstacles. All three of the men were perfectly flawed and I loved the way they complimented each other. This book is sex positive and Absolutely makes you want another installment!!

Was not my favorite writings of Lyra, only because of the overkill mentions of the color pink.
I understand that list can be associated with that color but the first killer for me was a pink SUV

Other than that, it has the classic pull you in and don’t let go that Lyra is good at writing.
I got the book today and have already finished it 12 hours later.
I loved having this little stand alone from her, most of her books are series, but stand alone are great break from a series!
She really captures her characters in ways that make you love them so so quickly.

Ps can we have a book with a set of twins next?

Nova is a looking for an orgasm after not having one for awhile. She meets this beautiful man named Sorin, and the next thing she knows they are back at her apartment and three orgasm later he stabs her in the heart. Sorin is the prince of lust and he takes her into hell to be his princess. She’s so angry and still attracted to him, but she meets Ruslan and Zane who she’s also attracted too. There is a lot going on in the circle of lust will Nova help?
Great characters and storyline. Amazing book. I totally love Nova she’s such strong character and Sorin, Ruslan, and Z are sexy and just what she needs. This book has all the spicy feels and a mystery to solve.

This book is part of multi-author shared world, Sons of Satan. Each author is writing about the seven circles of h**l. What do you get with sex-talk podcaster and prince of Lust? What hot and steamy book. This book was amazing
Their was a few twist I so didn't see coming. I so can't wait to jump into the other realm to see how each son handles their circle.

This was a good standalone, it was lighthearted, a good plot and interesting characters. This story is also part of a shared world with the other 6 sins.
Nova is a sexually confident podcast host, trying to move on from a frightening past, when she meets up for what she thinks is a hookup, but ends up with her in hell, and told she's the answer to the Prince of Lusts curse.
As this is about Lust, expect lots of smexy time, but there isn't to much, the plot still leads the story.
I enjoyed Nova, she was assertive without being annoying. The guys were all wrapped around her little finger, and I loved the banter between them all.
As a standalone there is no complicated plot, but there is a plot, so a great read for a lazy afternoon.

Great read. I cant wait to get stuck into the other books in this collective.
Nova has made it so that she comes first. Literally, her history made her downtrodden and abused, But she is determined to not let that happen again. But Once again she is screwed over when she wakes up in Hell after one night of almost heaven. The Prince of Lust has made her his without her Consent. Her life is ever changed but she has learnt from her past and she will rise above and not let any man or demon hold her back
Brilliant read.

This one was so much better than the last , I swear it was pretty good but I really do hate reading about abusive lovers it makes me so sick. The way he continued to be able to hunt her and scare her like that was evil as shit.

By the way what is it with fantasy books in talking up the MMC as these strong powerful beings who can’t be beat?

Ruslan, Z and Sorian were lowkey struggling to beat his ass and that pissed me all the way the fuck off.

She ended up saving herself basically and honestly I’m happy for her she was able to claim her power back and rid the world of someone who caused her so much pain.

Another amazing story by Lyra nonetheless… would definitely recommend.

This is the perfect short fluffy read. It gives you all the feels and action and spiciness of a series all in one novel.
Absolutely love Nova and her 3 demons. Perfect matching and it was so hard to put down. I plowed through this in one sitting.

This book is part of a series that has a bunch of other authors so I recommend checking them out too. This book mentions Adrian the prince of Greed. Which is in another book by a different author.

You won't regret reading this that's for sure.

On a side note, I wish I hade my own Trio of blobs and lulladore.

Corrupting Lust is a standalone in a shared universe revolved around the seven circles of Hell, and the human women destined to help conquer a curse.

In Corrupting Lust, the author manages to set the atmosphere from the very first chapter. It's quite rare that I like an fmc from the start, but Nova really hit a soft spot inside of me. I like her attitude, and how she makes it clear she has every right to pursue her own (o-type) needs the way she wants, as long as consent for all partners is involved. Even though it isn't a big part of the story, it's clear the author implies that it's okay when it takes time and help to overcome trauma, and it's something I can definitely appreciate.

I've read a lot of stories in the past where demons and hell are involved, but the author managed to take an entirely different approach, and I really liked the originality. I was fascinated by all the different types of demons, and I'm curious to find out more about this shared world after reading this book. I'm not always a fan of standalones because it usually takes me longer to connect with the (male) characters, but I have to admit I really liked Z. His demon type is quite scary, and still he often felt like a slightly too enthousiastic golden retriever. I couldn't help but love him from the start.

Interesting standalone, that made me excited to check out other books in this shared universe!

This is a reverse heran book with 3 male characters.

FAIR WARNIG THERE IS ALOOOOT OF PINK!!! (The color) I do not like pink 😠(note: i hate pink but This is me being over dramatic as always)
I have only read Lyra Winters’s “hollow academy” before this. And I was pleasantly surprised.

It’s as always cute af (obviously🙄)
This MC Nova is amazing!! She is a woman looking for someone to give her an orgasm and not having to “finish the job”. She goes on a date with someone who she thinks is a catfish because WHO LOOKS LIKE A GREEK GOD AND IS SINGLE??!! (MAJOR RED FLAG IRL BTW🚩) But when she gets to the restaurant lo and behold the Greek god is there and is basically devouring her with his eyes 👀.

Well… Nova does get her 3 orgasms and then shit hits the fan.
Turns out the Greek god is a prince of hell… yeah.

MOVING ON!!!

This Greek god (prince of hell) has two friends… who are devilishly hot!!! And they like what they see… 😏

Don’t worry this isn’t an insta love story book… there’s TENSION!!!

(Yes there is a bad guy. With his little dumb friends and they decide to attack our Fierce and horny Nova!! *gasp*)

Don’t want to write tooo much I mean the book is steamy and there’s tension so I love it!!

Guaranteed HEA

3/5 🌶
3/5 ⭐️
Yes it does get 4/5 for the pink 😠 (again I’m over dramatic)
The spice is meh for me since I’ve read mostly smutty stuff recently (kinktober)
3/5 ⭐️ because I’ve been into dark romance lately but it’s cute 🥰

Yet another brilliant read from Lyra Winters!

I think one of the things that draws me to every book this author writes is her incredible world building ability and detailed storylines weaved throughout.

This standalone novel, Corrupting Lust, is no exception.

Nova is a sex-positive, strong, and highly opinionated character that I fell in love with from the first second she was introduced.

The best thing about her is that she won’t stand for nonsense — especially not Sorin, the prince of hell and leader of the Lust circle. This was refreshing to read in a why choose novel.

It was amazing reading about Nova and Sorin - the two fiery characters - going toe-to-toe — especially at the beginning after she was turned into a demon by said prince.

To be frank, Sorin was an idiot at first. Thankfully, he eventually developed into the Prince that he needed to be, with the help of Nova and the rest of the Lust circle, Zane and Raslan. Both characters provide some much needed comic relief and add some depth to the plot, too.

(I have to take a second to appreciate that the descriptions for all three men were completely on point 🔥)

The four characters together created a storyline that was part steamy, part frustrating (on Sorin’s end), but highly addictive at the same time.

All in all, the story of breaking a long curse in Corrupting Lust is an interesting and easy read that is perfect for any time of day. I can’t wait to read whatever Lyra writes next!

"It never failed to amuse me how taboo the topic of sex and mutual pleasure was. It was 2022, for fuck's sake. Women were allowed to enjoy sex too."

When I read the quote above, I just knew this book was going to be AMAZING! We have a very strong willed, independent FMC who does not back down and I'm living for it! The 'lustful' scenes in this book started much earlier than normal books and it's definitely sprinkled in - so just brace yourself (in a good way) for the fun ride.

I love the idea of the different circles of hell within this shared universe (although we only see the Circle of Lust in this book). The world building was incredible, the character development was great and I very much enjoyed how the different mates and their different abilities.

While I wish this story could evolve into a series because I would love to see what happens next and how things continue in the progression of saving the Circle of Lust - I just don't see it happening sadly because this is a book within a shared universe that multiple authors have gone into the works of writing. However, if it is in the realm of possibility, sign me up and take my money!

I do also want to mention that there are definitely some possible triggers of abuse, stalking, kidnapping and possibly a few others - so please check before reading.

"If enjoying pleasure is what gets me thrown in Hell, then I'll jump in head first myself."

This was an interesting, and lighthearted book by Lyra. Nova is someone who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to take it. She's very confident and comfortable in her sexuality. When she finally meets a guy who can give her what she wants, he ends up killing her. When she wakes up, she's in hell…literally. Her hot date was actually a son of Satan, Sorin, the prince of lust.

"You're what I've been searching eons for. You're going to be my queen."

I loved all the main characters in this book. Besides Nova and Sorin, there is Zane, the obsessive knight of the prince, who is extremely protective. And Ruslan, the chamberlain of the prince, who is a complete romantic. The banter between Nova, Sorin, Zane and Ruslan was great!

I really enjoyed this book, and it made me excited to check out all the other books in the series!

This is a standalone book in a multi-author universe. I honestly love the way that Lyra Winters writes her books. She always makes me connect to the characters on a deep emotional level. In this book, we have an abused FMC who finds her strength and and is overall just a kickass character. I love the sex positive vibes, it is vert important to make everyone feel confident in their bodies. I also loved that this book took a big interest in consent and especially enthusiastic consent. The boys of this harem are drool worthy. All different and yet they all make sense together. The reason I gave this book 4 stars is twofold. The pacing of this plot was a bit rushed for my taste, I would have loved a longer read with a more detailed scenes, maybe some scenes from the guys past and their lives, maybe a little family reunion but as far as fast burn goes, this was very well exectued. Secondly, there was just a bit too much pink. Overall, 4/5, loved it, would read again! And 10/5 for the spice!!!! Loved it!
Oh and blobs!!!! They are just amazing!!! Would love for me to have some blobs!!! (Once you read it, you'll understand!)
I have recieved an ARC in exchange of an honest review.

There are a few things I love about this book, it's a stand-alone, and apart of a connected world. This new connected world is about the seven circles of hell. Our FMC, is so fun to read about, she's a sex-talk podcaster, she's also working on moving past her horrible past. When she goes to meet a hookup, it's not what it appears to be, and she ends up in hell, and is the. answer to the Prince of Lusts curse. Uh what!?

Even though this is a story about Lust, and we get plenty of 🌶 time, there is still a plot, and plenty of world building. I like Nova, she's got sass which is perfect for what she needs to be with her guys. Even when her life is changed without her knowledge, she knows that she needs to regain control of her life so she doesn't relive her past.

I love the banter between the characters, and I love the flow of this story. It wasn't heavy, it's a great light hearted read for the weekend or to get you out of a book slump! I can't wait to read the other books within this world, I can't wait to see how the other authors play into this world.

ARC Review of Corrupting Lust by Lyra Winter
* * * * *
A supernatural reverse-harem that is lit up with dark fantasies, hellish humor and glowing in lusty pink.

Online dating sucks, we all know that.
However, it becomes an understatement when your latest hot date give you an epic orgasm...and then stabs you in the chest.
Total mood killer.
Now our girl is a demon in the Circle of Lust, one of the rings of hell.
Worse...she's apparently the supposed queen who is meant to break the curse tormenting Lust.
Oh, and her fated prince just so happens to be the guy who stabbed her.
Sorin is not in her good books...however, his two best friends are most definitely getting on her good side.
Adorable carnivorous blobs, ex-boyfriends getting what they deserve, wicked weather and magic mirrors.

A very steamy romance basking in thr light of all things pink, obsessive and erotic...and you don't need to drug me with truth serum to get me to tell you that.

This book is a part of a shared world, the Sons of Satan. Multiple authors have written books taking place in the seven circles of hell.
This why choose romance follows Nova, a sex positive podcaster who has a one-night stand with a beautiful man named Sorin, or so she thought. What was meant to be a one night stand has led her to hell.
Sorin is the prince of lust and has found his princess.
Nova is a badass and doesn’t give in easily. Though angry by Sorins ambush she cant help her attraction to him. Then throw in Ruslan and Zane our demons and things get more interesting.
I love Lyras writing as there is steamy scenes but also plot, we get romance but these four are on a mission as well. Im a sucker for a why choose romance and Lyra does them so well. Our FMC is strong and our men are devoted, just the way I like it.
Though this is part of a shared world, the book is a standalone with a HEA. I cant wait to read the other books set in this world.

Absolutely loved this book! It is a stand alone and it is French kiss good! Nova is our strong FMC who hosts a sex talk podcast with her friend. She ends up going on a date with someone who she fully intends to sleep with. That person has other plans for her and she finds herself waking up in hell. Her date the night before was the lust prince of hell, Sorin. Come to find out, she is the answer to his curse.

This book has a lovely amount of spice in it and a fabulous plot line. I love Nova, she is a confident, sassy, strong woman, who knows what she wants. Those qualities do come in handy with her men. The banter between Nova and her men is perfect. Sorin, Zane, and Ruslin help Nova be the demoness she was meant to be to break the curse. Our girl found the one thing she definitely was not looking for but it was everything she needed. I highly recommend reading Corrupting Lust. I know I devoured this book within a day.

Sons of satan anthology (7stories by 7 authors)

PNR
Why choose

This was such a fun read!! Loved the world building and premise behind this story.

Sorin, Ruslan, and Zane were the perfect trio.
Nova is a badass, who will not take shit from anyone.. even the prince of Lust!

The seven sins have been cursed and disconnected from the magic of their circles.. each circle being a differently deadly sin. Sorin, the prince of lust has been searching for the perfect Queen to break his curse and reclaim the magic.

Nova is a mortal who decides to use a dating app to get laid 😂 she’s not expecting a prince from hell to be her date. She’s also not looking for commitment or more than one night.

When Nova wakes up in Hell, and realizes she can not return back to earth, it’s a wild ride .. and you just need to dive into the story to find out what happens for yourself!!

The Sons of Satan series is a shared world, each Prince of Hell depicting one of the seven deadly sins.

Corrupting Lust is definitely more on the cute scale than Lyra's other books, but still a good read. Nova knows what she wants, and isn't afraid to take it. She wasn't expecting the one guy to get her excited would also kill her and make her a demon, though.

Sorin was getting desperate to save his Circle, and went on a search for the perfect woman. He may have gone about things a little wrong and convoluted, yet it was part of his character growth to realize later how he should have done things.

Nova meets Zane and Ruslan after feeling betrayed by Sorin. Things get complicated and messy, as she's trying to stay mad at Sorin, but finding it hard, while also trying to understand why she has feelings for his knight and chamberlain as well.

She befriended Lust's creatures, and I saw the conflict coming. I also liked that we get a tiny cameo of the previous MC's in this, rather than a spoiler of who is coming next (without reading the blurbs, of course). Overall, it's a cute story, and if you like the seven deadly sin takes, I think you'd enjoy this book and series.

"Don't you dare say it before I can, Princess. I love you. You taught me how to love purely and not selfishly."

Lyra has done it again because this book was a great standalone read!!

All Nova was looking for was one night of fun. What she wasn't expecting to happen when she found that fun was wake up in hell as a demoness. Accepting her new life isn't going to be easy. But with the help of the Prince of Lust Sorin, his Chamberlain Ruslan, and his Knight Zane, she finds that she's exactly where she needs to be.

The character building and growth is great throughout the whole story. The dynamic between this group was fast and intense but also super sweet when needed making them absolutely perfect for each other. The twist in the book was done perfectly so that you don't see it coming making the ending just as sweet.

When Nova goes looking for orgasms, she finds them, and then some. Being stabbed mid-orgasm, turned demon, and dragged to Hell to become the Prince of Lust's queen wasn't part of her plan. But she finds that he, his knight and chamberlain may not be so bad after all.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book. The description had me interested, and I have to say I was not disappointed. Nova is spunky and can handle herself easily against the three demons she meets. The scenes she shares are intense and pretty steamy, so no complaints from me on that front.

The mention of the color pink was so frequent and incredibly annoying, that I didn't feel like I couldn't take a star off for it. That repetition almost made me stop reading, but I powered through since the rest of the story was pretty good.

Such an interesting premise for a new cross-author series! Each book focused on a different son of Lucifer, each the Prince of a different "sin".

Corrupting Lust focuses on Sorin, the Prince of Lust, and his need for a female to break the curse that Lucifer put on each sin's circle.

Nova was just trying to get laid. Date after date with no satisfaction, leads her to a date with the goal of a hookup. One thing leads to another, and she ends up in Hell. Not only did she wake up in another world, but she learns that she's Queen and expected to break a curse!

Overall, I thought this book was really cool and just the right amount of smut. I wasn't sure if this was a reverse harem or not, but boy am I glad it was! I absolutely loved Z!

5/5 overall
5/5 plot
4/5 spice
3/5 steam

This book is fantastic and Lyra again does a fantastic job of world and character building. With all the details and how she writes you get drawn into the story, and I personally couldn't put it down!

Nova is going on a date with a guy she met on a app hoping to break her non-existent orgasm streak. She meets said man named Sorin and they end up back at her apartment, and three orgasms later he feeds her his blood and stabs her in her heart. Then Sorin who is the prince of lust takes her back to hell to be his princess and Queen of Lust. Thats when she meets two others whom she is attracted to, Ruslan and Zane. Lots is happening in the Circle of Lust, and can Nova help bring balance back?

What a great a unique story. It is a shared world that I am very interested in read the rest. This was one has a lot of drama, mystery and suspense throughout it. There is some action as well as some sexy scenes. It was very well written and developed. I throughly enjoyed Nova and her three demons. They have great personalities and chemistry that is felt throughout the story. It is a quicker read but not so quick that you feel like you are missing something. I love that Nova is so strong. That she is a kick behind FMC. It is definitely a great read that is throughly enjoyable that really doesn’t disappoint.

I love it when a book hooks me from the first page, and this book definitely did! It's full of the kind of humour that had me giggling, while the next moment, I was in awe of the amazing world building, and character depth.

I think we'd all willingly go anywhere for three hot men like these, and I love reading every minute of Nova's growing relationship with her tethers, and the dynamic that built around her.

I'm a huge lover of anything full of magic and curious beings, and this delivered in every possible way. I literally devoured this book in a night and a morning, and I regret nothing.

This book had me from the first chapter when Nova was on the phone with her sister. I died laughing. This book had me turning pages and making kids lunch at the same time. I couldn’t put it down. From Sorins stupidity to Zane’s obsessive nature to Ruslans level head, I just needed more. I binged this in less than a day I seriously couldn’t stop myself. I was a huge fan of this author from her other series, and this book is no different. I am obsessed. This story alone will make me read every other story in this series. Just 1-click and thank me later. Definitely can’t wait for more from this author.

Nova was such a phenomenal FMC she gave our guys a run for their money. I loved how much the guys cared for her and just wanted to make her theirs and make her happy. This book is part of a shared world but is a standalone and so freaking good. Great plot, fantastic characters and a story with all the spice. The Prince of Lust *swoon*. All of the guys will melt not only your hearts but your panties as well. This is one of those books that is just a good time read. I love the banter between Nova and the guys and I love how they have her back from the moment they meet her. Nova has such a big caring heart and everyone can see it.. You need to read this book!!

Corrupting Lust was a thoroughly entertaining addition to the Sons of Satan series. Winters did well in laying out enough details to truly envision the world Nova was plucked into and the characters surrounding her. Unsurprisingly the Prince of Lust was a downright doofus in the beginning but over time he adapted into the Prince he needed to be for his Ring of Hell as well as the tether Nova needed. I really enjoyed the journey Nova took to reach her true potential in Lust's ring of Hell. With a bit of action, a strong female lead, and a healthy dose of steam, Corrupting Lust is an enjoyable read that will keep you easily entertained for an afternoon!
