(THIS) LIFE IS FULL OF SURPRISES!Guided by a letter from someone claiming to be another Wise Man's pupil, Mira comes face-to-face with a person she never expected to see! Later, during a sojourn back home for the first time in ages, she enjoys a shopping date with her fairy attendant, Mariana. Then, as part of her plan to pursue the spirit-hunting Chimera Clausen, Mira treks to the Isuzu Alliance base in the Forest of Seasons...where she's doxxed out of nowhere!
After Mira returns home and provides an extensive rapport on her findings, she can spend a day recovering at home, only to return to her investigation into the kidnappings and destruction of the spirits. Much like previous volumes it is a mix of slice-of-life (mostly at the beginning) and plot progress, light-hearted for the most part (in that the MC is never really threatened) with likeable characters and an intriguing world. I did get the feeling that there were a few more eyeroll moments then in some of the earlier parts when Mira enjoyed her baths with other women, and the times she was admiring guys with long white bears were kind of creepy. Still, not to the point of ruining my enjoyment. So, in the end, an entertaining read even if the plot is a bit slow paced.
