Preferring to write characters that aren’t being rescued by the knight on the white horse, but rather a beaten, bloody, morally grey savior.
Basically nocturnal, she prefers long naps behind blackout curtains and energy drinks. She can never remember keyboard short cuts and hates when her phone updates. When not writing, she enjoys riding her horses, being judged by cats, and cursing.

This book had a pretty cool premise and overall it was different from your usual. Mainly because it featured six main characters, therefore six POVs leading to three couples. And they all come only from two families. *lol

That they all ended up together was very very coincidental but I just rolled with it and it was actually pretty cute and I really liked the mystery they were all involved in.
What the title of the book means in regard to the story inside I have no fucking idea. Like none. Or has it to do with that new drug? Well, reall, idk.
The book was not as laugh-out-loud and spicy as the blurb promised but I still had a good time, liked all of the MCs and their respective love stories.

The Claytons collectively decided to ignore their idiots and went back to the task at hand.

This book is about three brothers and their attraction to a family consisting of Doctors with a foster child. Clint, an EMT has a thing going on with Dr. Liam Clayton. Wesley, a nursing student is attracting Dr. Neal's attention. And Jacob is hanging out with Milo in their high school. Each time I thought one couple was my favorite, the next couple would become it. Running through the background is a new drug that people are OD'ing on. I totally enjoyed this book and have never read the author before but definitely will again. The story kept me absorbed through the whole thing. I'm not sure what the title has to do with the book, though. I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary opinion.

I've read Ms McCall's first book Hurt and thought it was great, so when I got the chance to read her next release, I grabbed it with both hands.
What I love most about her books is that you don't just get one romance, you get multiple. And they're always connected.
In this story we follow 3 couples:
Liam, doctor in the Emergency Department, caring and sweet even though he comes from a family that is very distant and stoic. He falls head over heals for Clint, a paramedic working for the same hospital as where Liam works. Clint is a grumpy, sarcastic man but who’s very protective of the people he cares for. Among them are his brothers. He doesn’t show any affection, not because he doesn’t want to, but just because he’s always made to feel less then anybody else.
Neal, forensic pathologist, brother of Liam, also working in the same hospital. He seems devoid of all feeling and is most happy being amongst the dead where he doesn’t need to interact with people. Then he meets Wesley, a medical student, his total opposite. Wesley is outgoing, funny, never scared to say what thinks and feels and is also Clint’s brother. Wesley always considered himself straight, but upon meeting Neal, he discovers he’s attracted to him.
Then we’ve got Milo. When he was rescued from an accident in which his parents died, he was rescued by Neal, who became his foster parent. He’s a brilliant student, very outspoken and the President of his class. As outgoing as he is at school and with other people, the reserved he is with Neal, whom he still calls Dr. Clayton. He’s in the same school as Jacob, who happens to be half-brother to Wesley and Clint. Jacob is shy, does his best at school but isn’t great and has a major crush on Milo.
When students start dying from a new sort of drug that nobody has ever heard or seen off, Clint, Liam, Wesley and Neal join forces to find out more. The police isn’t taking the case serious, so it’s up to the four of them to solve it. They later get joined by Milo and Jacob who also witness a student dying and watch a fight between the schools Coach and a dealer. As they get closer to the who and why, each pair grows closer but this is not without struggle.
I love this author’s writing style, it's funny, a bit sarcastic and at times really sweet. Each couple has his own struggles, the heat is smoldering on the pages and the end is full of action and tenderness.
I’m already looking forward to the next book by this author.

A wonderful rom-com with a sprinkling of mystery and suspense. Total page turner with authentic characters and all too true situations. Definitely a good read during holidays travels or a gift for your romance reader!

Another excellent delightfully complicated book with no less than three separate mm romances all at the same time, while also including danger, intrigue and accurate medical research. The ARC version I read had some editing issues, particularly jumping between POVs with no warning at all, not even a space between paragraphs, which would have made it easier to follow. I hope for other readers that this has been solved. I'm particularly touched by the HEA for Clint as he needed it most. Definitely one of my favourite authors of 2022.

I first read this story on AO3, and now again as a full-length novel, and it's still a huge favourite! I love the chemistry between the sets of brothers, the plot is riveting and even having read the story before, I was having trouble remembering to breathe at times. All the stars in the world for this book!

Delta Delta Flyboy is a fun and hilarious gay thriller romance that’s a bit over-the-top and I appreciated it. It follows three brothers who just happen to get into relationships with members of the Clayton family. All this while they become entangled in a mystery surrounding a new class of drugs that are killing high school kids.
Clint is a paramedic and the eldest brother who has lived his whole life to support his younger brothers after they are orphaned. He is probably my favorite character as he is the most fully fledged and well realized of the six men. He reluctantly falls for Liam Clayton, an Emergency Medicine doctor who has to pursue him aggressively as Clint is unused to being wanted and taken care of.
Wesley is a nursing student and the middle brother who is brilliant but prone to jokes and taking things too far. He butts head with Neal Clayton, a stoic and serious forensic pathologist, during his rotation in the hospital morgue. Their opposite personalities contrast each other complementarily, making for some funny interactions.
Jacob is the youngest (half)-brother and a high school student who is schoolmates with Milo Clayton, Neal’s foster son. Theirs is the cutest relationship of the three with themes of first love and coming out.
There are a few factual errors like saying Icarus built his wings (he did not) and using the analogy of being polar opposite magnets that repel each other (it’s the other way around). But surprisingly, the medical aspect was quite accurate (I’m a doctor) with just some parts that aren’t quite realistic but still correct. There was also some formatting issues (particularly the inconsistent indents used) while reading on my kindle, but nothing that made it hard to read. The cover and title also don’t really jive well with the book.
The thriller part with the drugs was probably the most unbelievable part of the book (yes, even over the three siblings falling for members of the same family at the same time). No way do doctors have the will or time to go investigating such things. And I figured out the villain early on (while not the motive). But you really aren’t here for the mystery, but for the characters and the hijinks they get themselves into.

I’ll start this review with the characters because they are, with the exception of the inexplicably evil, scenery-chewing villain, charming. Not remotely plausible as actual human beings, but as collections of traits, quirks, and witty banter, absolutely endearing. Each respective pairing has chemistry. Intense, clearly emotional as well as physical chemistry. There is no logical progression to the feelings or the relationship trajectory, and of the three sets of relationships, it’s the actual teenagers who are the most mature and have the best communication skills. The ostensible adults are…an odd but likable jumble of cartoon heart eyes and caveman romance tropes. I don’t know why it works, but it does. Amidst all the workplace romance, there’s a subplot with intrigue, dangerous drugs, a mystery, and aforementioned over-the-top villain. You’ll know who that is before the characters do because 1) the narrative will tell you and 2) these guys are not particularly good at detective work. Also, they seem to spend about equal time actually doing their jobs and pining after each other at work (or school, for the youngest set) so at least they’ve got that work/life balance…nowhere near under control? Honestly, I did like this story. It’s odd and hard to pin down and if you’re trying to take it seriously I don’t think it would work nearly as well as it does if you just take it on its own terms and go along for the ride. It is, for better or worse, definitely an exciting one.

I loved every second of this book! Every reaction I had was audible, from laughs to gasps.
This book has it all:

A little violence
A little murder
A lot of snark
A lot of chaos
A lot of love
The Ford brothers have personalities that run the gamut
Clint gives major black cat energy
- loves hard but doesn’t know how to accept love
- Pettyyyyyyyyyy
- Grumpy AF but adorable
Wesley is an absolute menace
- Too smart for his own good
Jacob is a precious wittle baby full of teenage angst
The Clayton men are their polar opposites
Liam is jovial and surprisingly easy going with a hidden Daddy side
Neal is…a precious little ‘Tism baby with a soft spot for kids and a certain blonde menace
- Will miss the social cues, but commits when he finally catches on
Milo is outwardly perfect but isn’t secure in where he stands in the family.

Great potentiel, but.
This book started strong. I enjoyed the setting and the characters, getting to know this world and these people. In the end, the relationships made sense and the couples were great, I could believe in an HEA.
It's just that once the MCs started connecting, the road between start and finish did not work for me. It was all ... Too much, too insta and easy, too fast, too... PUBLIC (wth, the 6 of them ?! No way !) And too much. Have I said to much too fast ? Cause it was. As distinct and interesting as the characters were, the getting to know you/falling for you/ relationships and interaction all felt a bit similar, like a relationship developing with 2 echos ?
Anyway, good writing, good ideas, but did not really work for me. Check it out for yourselves though, if you like insta or falling at first sight you'll probably enjoy it a lot ;)

Clint and Wesley had a hard life then they found out about Jacob but would do anything to keep them together. Liam and Neal were raised by their uncle then Neal found Milo took him in. Jacob and Milo went to the same school and became more than friends and was seeing kids from school dying. Clint was an EMT and Liam is a doctor in the emergency room saw each other in passing but ended more. Wesley was in nursing school and met Neal doctor in the morgue during one of his clinicals and became more. They were all trying find who was providing the drug that was killing the school kids but that was really a surprise who it was and what he was willing to do. Good book!
Did Not Finish
May 9, 2023DNF at 25%. It just seemed too disjointed and all over the place; it seemed like I had come in partway through a series. I think it would have been better to have a book for each couple; as it was there was just too much characterization dump all it once with no room to breathe or digest. I just didn't see myself connecting to any of the characters or their (too coincidental for even my romance reading brain) relationships, nor caring to find out how things developed, so DNF it is.

Wow, there’s a lot going on here! Six main characters, three couples. Four of them are providers in the medical field in one form or another, the other two are high schoolers. There’s a harrowing mystery to help the three couples find their way.
The characters are all fleshed out very well. They’re unique and quirky and have their own challenges to deal with. The story is quite well written and thoroughly engaging.
Wesley is my favorite, I think. He’s a goofball, certainly the one that’s the most fun. Wicked smart, and very observant. He’d make an amazing doctor.
Great story, highly recommend.

Ahh I loved it! This book was so good. It was everything I didn’t know I needed.
It took a little while for me to get into as the writing structure was slightly confusing to me. But once I did wow it was worth it.
I loved the story and the twists and turns were unexpected and a little crazy at times. I will admit some parts of the story I did guess but then new exciting aspects came along and I didn’t really notice.
This book was a perfect and quick read. Thank you so much for letting me read an advance copy of this book. All my opinions are my own and i am writing this voluntarily.

What a fantastic, fun story! It's mostly light and funny and sweet and tender, but also contains just enough drama and suspense to keep you biting your nails, especially at the end! Each character is unique and fleshed out, and their reactions to different events and one another feel real. I particularly love the Ford brothers, three young men trying to figure out how to keep on keepin' on in the wake of their parents' destructive life paths...who then all meet the loves of their lives and find a whole new world to explore (aka bumble their way through, lol). Well worth the read! <3

Amazing, this story shows the lives of two families and how circumstances bring them together. Clint and Wesley work hard to make sure their younger half-brother has what he needs. All of them are orphans, but work in the medical field. Liam and Neal Clayton also lost their parents and have been raised by their uncle. Both are doctors that were raised in wealth. Neal has a foster son Milo. All these men face drug dealers, kidnappers, murderers, crooked cops, become friends and find love.

Three stories in one. All three were interesting, and I appreciated how the each person was unique and the couples really complemented each other. The writing wasn’t the best- it jumped around a little too much and wasn’t very developed- but it was still an enjoyable read. The mystery and villain were a little too over the top, the drama not feeling very authentic, but overall an enjoyable story.

Great book
Great book with a mystery thrown in, my favorite!
I loved how it starred 3 different couples, but it wasn't that hard to follow. My only complaint was I wish it was noted when we switched to another persons POV. The author got to it really quick by naming them within a few sentences, but until then, I had no idea who we had moved on to.

I didn't know which of the couples I loved more because they were each so adorable and perfect! I enjoyed getting a view of each character's perspective and life experiences because it then added so much depth and personality to them. Five stars, for sure.

Scarier than I prefer but satisfying. I loved all the MCs. They were interesting, complex, exceedingly individual characters. Enjoyed the chapter titles & definitions & glimpses into lives spent saving lives. The sardonic humor occasionally had me laughing out loud.

This was a very fun story, and I really wanted to give it 5*, however, an editor was desperately needed.
Having said that, I loved the characters--all of them. Well, not the baddie, who was a wack job, and not the Pinky Killer, who was just plain nuts. But the plot was pretty good, other than leaving some questions. Still, it was worth the read.

Worth Reading
This one took me a little bit to get into it but, once I did, I was hooked. This is a good story. I enjoyed reading it.

The story was a bit herky jerky (look it up), but was an overall good read. CAVEAT - lousy editing. rating is for the story alone. do not know when editors will understand we, the readers, are the audience. (I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.)

I really enjoyed this book about two families joining force to solve a number of overdoses from a new drug on the market. It was well written and I would definitely read more of this author in the future.

Awesome Reading
The story of two families finding happiness together blended perfectly. The suspense and bad guys kept me on edge and I had to keep reading. Would recommend this book to anyone who likes a little suspense and a whole lot of love.
