*As of right now, the author is currently working to revise this book to rerelease at the same time as book two in the series.*
There is a realm known as Solaris. A home to Shifters, Warlocks, Demons, and Fae. With only one being that they all fear. A being that is cruel and murderous, but has grown hungry for power. No one knows the true name of the being, but most refer to it as The Realm Walker. On the night of Vitaalmai, Maeve is given The Dream by The Eyes. A prophecy where she could save her realm from the future that awaits them. If she can learn to trust her four bestowed mates with more than her life. Only with all four of her bonds in place will they be strong enough to win. But will she be able to solidify her bonds, knowing one of them is destined to betray her? Will she be willing to put her trust in them all, knowing one of them isn't worth trusting?
One prophecy seen by The Eyes. Four mates bestowed. Will the threads that bond them, be what tears their realm apart?
The Princess of Dreams is book one of two in The Realm Walker Prophecies series. It is a paranormal why-choose romance and all characters are over the age of eighteen. This series contains strong language, violence, trauma, physical abuse, kidnapping, and war themes.
Oh boy. That was a wild ride. A quick, fun fantasy why-choose read. The magic systems were fascinating, the world was well weaved together, and THAT TWIST at the end was excellently executed. Can’t wait to see how this story ends in book 2!
Absolutely amazing debut novel! I couldn’t put it down until I was done and now I’m on edge for the next already. Maeve is a shifter who’s had a difficult life, not horrible necessarily but difficult. On Vitaalmai she is chosen to receive the dream out of all of the people in Solaris. The dream takes her to The Eyes who give her a choice to follow her destiny or not. By choosing to follow her destiny she is responsible for saving Solaris by ensuring her bonds to her 4 bestowed mates but one of them will betray her. How is she supposed to fully bond with them all with that knowledge? The journey will keep you enthralled and give you so many conflicting feelings and a few theories all the way until the final page with a brutal cliffhanger. I can’t wait for the rest of the story & I’m hopeful that the guy we briefly met will play into it also.
A quick read but so so worth it. I’m glad i FINALLY read this. The bonds. The love. The betrayal. The epic story of love and lost and everything in between. The first set of adventures they set upon was great. Why choose / RH is a true love of mine and see it unfold was amazing but; that cliffhanger though ? Damn. Left a taste of betrayal in my mouth and me shaking my fist. Can’t wait to read the next installment of this and see how these bonds and the rest of it all falls into place.

This slow burn fantasy romance novel is Sara's debut and I had the pleasure of ARC reading. We follow Maeve, the woman who eagerly is waiting for the dream, to determine her fate. Once she receives it, she learns she is fated to not just 1, but 4 swoon worthy men. She needs to find and pull together her mates to begin to help defend Solaris against the Realm Walker. This first book in this series sets the tone and begin of this journey, showcasing the relationships Meave finds and has to develop. Each mate she finds is so drastically different than the previous, and my favorite is definitely Declan, because of course I have to love the bad boy of the group. This book features both friends to lovers, and enemies to lovers, all within fated mates, which is amazing in itself.
Now on to another important detail that I know I myself look for in reviews: the spice is immaculate. This again, is a slow burn, but it is worth it for the burn. You get to experience moments with each mate, along with some of them together in this why choose romance.
The only thing I wish was different, was I wish we were told more about the Rhelm Walker, and Solaris, along with a little more detail on each of the other Rhelms. But I imagine more will come to light in the second book so I'm not that disappointed in the slightest!
All in all, Sara created the beginnings of an amazing fantasy world, and did a great job introducing us to this journey Meave is starting along side her mates. For this being her first novel, I'm definitely impressed and can't wait to continue to read more from her!
Spice: 🌶🌶/5 Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

This book could have been a really good book. The premise is interesting, the world could have been unique but unfortunately the execution falls flat.
The FMC gets the dream and is told she is going to have 4 mates. She's been best friends with one of the mates for years. Yet they don't really have any chemistry. He gets but hurt about anything and all things and verbally lashes out like an absolute man-child. They don't really touch, let alone kiss. Yet he is insanely jealous. For example their bond snaps into place when they look into each other's eyes and share a moment (steam what-so-ever) on their way to find the first unknown mate. That night right after their bonds snapped in place, they get separate rooms in the hotel/inn and everyone is super cool with that. No sharing a bed. No 1 bed 2 people situation.
Later on, they go back to the original village and the MMC who has known the FMC for years walks away from the FMC and everyone else without even saying goodbye so he can sleep at his place. He doesn't check to see where his mate is going to sleep. He doesn't offer for her to sleep with him. Nope he just walks away. The next day he is insanely jealous to find her sleeping in the same bed as one of her other mates.
They bounce around and just find what they need super quick, super easy. Pretty much everyone they talk to completely believes them and bends over backwards to help them.
There is very little character development, world building, etc.
“…you must learn to trust one another. Any ounce of distrust will weaken you all.”
The book surrounds a rare shifter Maeve as she takes the journey down her chosen path. To accomplish her destiny, she must find and become fully bonded to, all four of her mates. This seems like an easy enough task, but for the mating bound to snap, the two mates must trust each other fully.
The perspective of the mating bond forming by trust rather than the actual act of mating was very intriguing. In the real world, giving in to desires can be a lot easier than offering up all of your trust.
The world-building, I thought was great. The author took you through different kingdoms in Solaris, each one having its own set of distinguishing features.
My favorite character of course was Declan, the mysterious and problematic one. His hot and cold tendencies had my mind all over the place, but then came the “bedroom” scene, and yup….Declan won me 🥵. His inner struggles were the most relatable (at least to me) as to why trusting anyone fully is not easy.
All and all, this book was really good and I do look forward to reading the next one! The ending does have a cliffhanger, that I kind of saw coming, but definitely NOT to that degree. The author truly leaves you wanting more!
Looking for Fated mates with a twist,a steamy read with some deep character background and development. Then this is the book for you and best part this is book one of a duology! We follow Mae our FMC who is destined to save and protect the world of Solaris from the evil dreaded Realm Walker who is pretty much the boogie man told in stories to children to keep them in line until one prophetic dream on a fateful night. Mae travels to collect her four...yes I said four mates that will help her save Solaris but there's a catch one of the four can not be trusted but you have to read to find out who. There was an amazing plot, great characters and some yummy spice but there were some writing style choices that broke the flow for me which is why it's a 4 and not a 5 but I loved it and NEED MORE!

I was so excited to be and ARC reader for this book! I was soo invested right from the beginning. The cliff hanger at the end of this book was brutal because I tried soooo hard to vouch for all 4 of her mates knowing 1 would betray her (just like "The Eyes" told her in her dream). The story flows really well and I loved the banter between the characters. There are a couple characters introduced I'm very interested to see how they fit into the storyline in the next book!!
Oh Naoise….. why did you have to go and do her dirty like that?! I mean I saw the betrayal coming but still. How could he have given in so easily? There’s no way he would have betrayed her like that if he had truly loved her. Now it makes sense if he was never supposed to be her mate in the first place. I’m pretty sure that Calix is really supposed to be her shifter mate. So excited to see how that goes.
OMG run, don’t wait on this one. I got the privilege of reading an ARC and I could not put this down. The perfect amount of amazing characters, suspense, spice, and all the things. It has been a long time since I have been so into a book by a new author but Sarah did it for me. I cannot wait for the second book. Literally cannot wait, that cliffhanger though.
What a ride. This magical why choose was fun and spicey. It was a new take on fated mates and the world of magic. The characters are well developed and well written the world is explained and clear. Which is something that nearly falls away for characters. Sarah has built a world I want to be part of.
Oh my God!!! This story sucked me in from the very beginning! This is my first book from this author and I am very sad that the rest of the books aren’t out from the series. I need to know what happens next!!! I went through a roller coaster of emotions and I don’t even know what to do with myself. I feel a very strong book hangover coming, and I don’t know what I’m gonna do until book 2.
I knew it was going to be Naoise. Most of the spicy scenes happened without him, she didn't have as much of a connection to him other than friendship. We also don't get as much of his POV. Plus the woman who kept showing up. I did not expect that he would stab her though and attempt to sever her bonds.

Amazing! You are following along on the adventure and falling in love with each mate right beside the MC. It is so well written! I can’t wait to continue the series and see where we will go! Strongly recommend adding this book to your TBR!!!
I got the privilege of reading this ARC book and OMG. I fell in love with the characters and story. Spicy reverse harem. Fantasy. Cliffhanger. And an added twist of betrayal. This book has it all and will keep you waiting for more. I cannot wait for the next one!!!
I could NOT put this down it was such a good book! Why choose, fantasy, action and SPICE…. it checked everything on my list Sara Faulkner ….ma’am you knocked it out of the park!!
Feels really fast paced and super shallow because of it. The lack of depth means you don’t get immersed in the world and don’t care for the characters or their relationships. And the “relationships”…. Ugh.
Great fantasy read, great character building and story plot. One I couldn’t put down. Beautifully written, that cliff hanger though….can’t wait for book two.
An amazing debut book! Great world building. Character development so far is good. Twists and turns. I liked the banter. The why choose trope. Fated mates. Spice. Paranormal romance with plot. Loved this. Can not wait for book 2!
