When I ran up to the strange man in the bookstore, he seemed the safer option compared the the man who wouldn’t leave me alone. I had no idea I’d just wrapped my arms around Bonham Thompson from Pushing Daisies. More than that, I don’t know who Pushing Daisies are. I’d grown up sheltered after my sister made the biggest mistake my parents could dream of. They’d locked me down in response. Now I was just trying to get through college to get out from under their thumbs.
But Bonham has me wanting to let go in ways I hadn’t dreamed of. The downside? He’s gone most of the time and women throw themselves at him.
Can I trust being with someone who has the life Bonham does?
Bonham.
Jurnie needed me and I stepped up before I’d even known her name.
Then we talked and she was the only woman I’d met recently that didn’t want something from me. I’m only home for a week and falling for her is a terrible idea. I’d be on the road for months at a time. She’s innocent and doesn’t understand that the women are part of my job. Not that I’d ever wrong her in that way but it’s hard for her to watch.
I get that but when she runs, I want to chase her. I’ll need to prove to her that she’s the only one I think about and find a way to make her understand that she’s the only one for me.
Heather Young-Nichols is a USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary and paranormal romances. She writes swoony heroes and snarly heroines with a heap of romance.
When she's not writing, she's binging a show with her kids, watching baseball, or snuggling with her cuddly animals.
It all began at a bookstore when a creeper guy was following Jurnie all around and wouldn’t take no for an answer. She had always heard that going up to another guy like she knew him would possibly save her from this guy who was making her feel very vulnerable. Bonham happened to be that good guy that she was now acting as if they were more than friends. Being that good guy was what set off the beginnings of a very sweet and thrilling romance. Jurnie never knew that the man she walked up to was a drummer in Pushing Daisies all she knew was that he was her knight in shining armor that saved her.
This story had me from the start with the characters that this author had written so well. Without reading any of the other books in this series I didn’t miss a beat. The only thing it did was had me checking out the other books of hers that I’d missed and now have on my TBR. So if you love rock romance with life on the road and the women they love this is a definite winner.
3.75 STARS Jurnie and Bonham (who happens to be a rockstar) have a really fun “meet cute.” I love their dynamic, I like that she’s still working towards her goals/school. There’s minimal drama. Their issues include him being famous and on the road. Jealousy/trust issues connected to that. I definitely understood that issue and felt it was legitimate . I like the lightness and almost innocence of this series of interconnected rockstar/family romances. They are fun and likable characters. A nice escape without complications and too much drama.
This is a well written book with strong characters and a sweet romance. The author does a great job developing the story and painting her scenes. She moves it fluidly and delivers an entertaining and heartwarming story.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Bonham and Jurnie made the most adorable couple. He’s the rockstar drummer for Pushing Daisies and she’s an intern at a radio station while going to school doing her last year. Their meeting was off the chart romantic and so was their first date. There was very little drama but a nice happy ending. Can’t wait to read book four, Daltry. I’m giving this book four stars and I recommend it.
Another great addition to the series with character to fall in love with. I loved the chemistry and the connection the characters had. The story flows well and I didn't feel like it dragged so it left focusing on the characters and their struggles.
Bonhomie is a band member of Pushing Daisies and they are home from touring for a week. He meets Jurnie at a book store where she is trying to avoid a creeper and pretends to be her boyfriend. Jurnie comes from a very strict family, how will they accept a tattooed rocker and will she be able to handle all the female fans? This is a continuation but could be read independently. Great story and author.

Jurnie Evans had lived a very sheltered life. Once her older sister Delaney became pregnant at sixteen, it got even worse, more like unreasonable. Her mom is an attorney and her father is a pastor. Her parents had always been easy-loving parents, but they had a standing in the community to uphold. They felt her sister put a bad light on them. So, now they would dictate her every move. They tried with her sister, but her sister bucked their words saying she would leave with the baby.
Jurnie was sent to an all-girls parochial school, instead of the co-ed one she had been attending. Now, here she is doing her college internship at her hometown DJ station, but for accounting. The DJs for the laughs and the callers love it, put each new intern on the spot. Asking them questions on air, and guess who is the lucky winner that day? Yup her. Ned asks, The big question what kind of music do you like? She explained that secular music was out growing up.
So, she knew since she had listened to her radio with some of the current music, but not enough to know, who was who. So, she turns out to be Daisy Thompson on her violin. She had seen her five years ago at a competition and thought she was amazing. The guys asked if she had kept up with her career. She said no, should she have? When the guys looked at each other, she knew that was the wrong answer. Let us play you something. The instrumental was wonderful, but the singer was like an angel. They asked what she thought.
She said it was great. They said it was Daisy and her brothers, Pushing Daisies. Well, they were awesome, she told them. Little did she know, the band had just driven in from their last concert to visit their parents for a week. They had all heard the interview and loved it. They thought she did great. She would get an up-close and personal introduction to Daisy’s brother Bonham the very next day. She decides to go to the bookstore to get her guilty pleasure, and since her car was broken her sister dropped her off.
However, as she reads each of the backs of the books that interest her she feels eyes on her. Now, as the reader you know that Bonham has gone there for coffee to avoid the coffee shop, due to a bad breakup. Jurnie looks around and sees a guy looking at her which spooks her. It's the way he’s looking at her. So, she moves to a different section and continues selecting. Then, again the same feeling. However, he was much closer. Again, she moves this time he comes up to her asking for her number. When she says no. He says how about your Snapchat? She says she doesn't have one.
She sees Bonham and walks up behind him and hugs him. What makes me laugh she goes to him for safety, but as she hugs him he is doing an inventory of the women it could be and his twins, too. He is a safe bet don’t get me wrong. Safe for sure. But, I don't care how much RAM space you have, those lists can be long at least for Van. But, after what happened to Daisy, he was happy to help. Little does he know he found his one but didn't know it.
She was the beautiful nameless girl that needed to be rescued, and he was happy to be her hero for the moment. Moments after the saving, names were exchanged, words were spoken, and a instant attraction took flight. Bonham Thompson wasn't looking for love, but it found him that day in the bookstore. Jurnie was the first girl to capture his full attention in a long time, a girl he could quickly see a future with, but the road is calling his name...
Between the pages of this beautifully penned romance you will meet two people who weren't looking for love, but found it by chance. Just as the spark between them starts to bloom Bonham's obligations to his band threaten to take it away. He knows that this beautiful angel came into his life for a reason and he is not quite ready to let her walk away. She is completely unaware of what his life entails, and is innocent to the public drama it brings. He doesn't know if he wants to subject her to his world, as it could harm her, but he also doesn't want to let her go. It's an impossible battle for him...
This heart-string tugging romance is bound to keep you mesmerized from the first page to the last. These two will wander onto the page and steal your whole heart in a matter of seconds, and the story they have to tell will render you useless until you have devoured every last beautifully penned word. Bonham is a story that can't be missed! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.
If Rockstar Romance is one of your favorite, I recommend you this Pushing Daisies series because it's very good written and easy reading. The series is about a band which all members are siblings. The second book is about Bonham. The author matches him with an innocent girl who doesn't know about Rockstar World at all. The story is meet-cute and super sweet. Their love is an insta-love for sure and usually I don't believe in it but the author creates their developed relationship so good I think I totally fall for them too. The story is still no heavy drama but it shows how long-relationship could cause problems and Bonham's Rockstar status and his innocent behavior with his fans don't help with how insecure Jurnie feel at all. And usually I want to read a steamy love scene, like the more the merrier, but after I binge reading this three books of the series in a short time, I think I can assure you that even if their relationship aren't all steamy but their chemistry are hot enough I'm ok with the description the author creates for their love scenes. And I think it helps because if the author focuses on how hot and steamy the scenes is, I wouldn't believe in their insta-love this much.
Of course I absolutely loved "Bonham" by Heather Young-Nichols. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, but I would gladly pay full price for any book in this series. This author writes entertaining, Witty, fairly clean romance that is fun to read. I like to save them for a weekend read and I always feel confident that I will enjoy it from the first page until the last. I like that this author has spun off a few series from the very first original rock and roll series and that the characters that I grew to love have been able to live on with each of the new books. This book is my new favorite (full disclosure - I say that each time I finish one of her books) and I really loved Bonham and Jurnie. I was able to connect with Jurnie as a person and I found myself so invested in them as a couple. That being said, with all the foreshadowing around Mack and what will be his story... I CANNOT wait to read his book. This is a great book/series/author and one that should be in your book collection. Happy reading...enjoy!
Bonham is another book in the spin off series that covers the band members of first Kissing Cinder then Courting Chaos and now Pushing Daisies. Pushing Daisies is made up of Bonham’s 3 brothers and sister. This is the story of Bonham finding his HEA with Jurnie. Jurnie is the daughter of a preacher and a lawyer and has lived a very sheltered life since her sister became a teenage mother. When she finds herself being harassed by a guy at the bookstore she goes to the first guy she sees and pretends to be his girlfriend like she read she should do to get away from danger. That guy turns out to be Bonham and they end up hitting it off. She has no idea he is a rockstar because she listens to mostly classical music. The two fall hard and fast but there are obstacles I. Their way, like him being on tour, her parents, she’s in college, and the pitfalls of dating a rockstar and the attention he gets.

Wow. This has probably been one of my favorite reads this year. I absolutely loved the story, the characters, everything. It was seriously absolutely wonderful and I'll probably reread it again and again in the future because it is that good. Bonham and Jurnie are a perfect couple and I love how they cared and loved one another. They met in a bookstore where some guy was following Jurnie and wouldn't take no for an answer. Attempting to get away, she embraces Bonham, not knowing who he is, but he becomes her knight in shining armor as he plays along with the boyfriend ruse to keep the other guy away and takes her home. Bonham is a drummer for Pushing Daisies and he enjoys how even after Jurnie finds out who he is, she doesn't treat him any differently. I'm not saying anything else because I don't want to spoil anything but read this book, you will not be disappointed!

When Bonham's band is home for their one week break on their US tour he runs into Jurnie as the local book store. She needs saving from a creepier who doesn't understand no and Bonham is there to help save her. But he realizes that he wants to see more of her after their short time together. Jurnie living the sheltered life that she does has no clue who Bonham is but knows that she wants to get to know him better too. But is she equipped to deal with a rock star boyfriend and all the attention that brings him
Their story is a bit of insta to it as they only have one week together before he has to go back on tour again but it didn't feel fake like insta can be. Bonham was sweet and caring. Jurnie was naïve in a fun and endearing way. I really liked these two together. They were fun and perfect. I respected the heck out of Jurnie and how despite how naïve she was she always spoke up. She was really refreshing. Loved this one.
Bonham is the drummer for Pushing Daisies and is home for a brief time as the band have a well-deserved break, because let's face it, touring can be exhausting. Jurnie has had a sheltered life, and just wants to escape from under her parent's thumb, and she's an accounting intern at a radio station bc what could be more safe and boring , right? When Bonham and Jurnie meet in a bookstore, there's an instant attraction between them, and the chemistry is undeniable, like a rom-com waiting to happen. How will Jurnie cope with the attention the band receives while they are on tour, because groupies can be scary. This is a well-written story which pulls at the heartstrings throughout, and is a sweet read, with drama, emotions, witty banter, humor, family, and love, which leads to an entertaining and all-consuming page-turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend, because I'm already a fan.
What a fun series this has been. Now it's Bonham's turn. Never did he expect a trip into a bookstore to avoid an uncomfortable run-in with an ex would turn into something so much more. Jurnie has led a sheltered life after her strict parents lay down the law after her older sister got pregnant at 16. Jurnie just wants to get some new romance books to read, but a creepy guy who won't take no for an answer causes her to do something extreme. She sees Bonham and pretends that he is her boyfriend... and miraculously he goes along with the idea. Neither expected that interaction to lead to anything let alone the chance at love. Will Jurnie take a chance? Can Bonham prove her's worth the risk? Quite the ride as Jurnie finds her voice and her way, challenging her parents and herself in all the best ways. Looking forward to seeing what comes next for the Pushing Daisies family...
Bonham and Jurnie have a fantastic first meeting! Jurnie has been over-protected by her parents because of the actions of her sister. When she goes into a book store to get some romance books, a sleazy guy ignores her rejection of him, made her uncomfortable, and she feels compelled to do something out of character to get rid of him. She notices Bonham who has run inside to avoid an ex, and she goes to him to pretend he is her boyfriend. Surprisingly, he goes along with her pretense. They hadn’t expected anything like this, but it felt right. Will Jurnie take a chance on love? Will Bonham help her realize that their love will be worth the risk?
This was such a good story and the characters were awesome. Grab your copy and see how everything works out for these two.
Jurnie and Bonham meet when she needs someone to pretend he is her boyfriend so a creep stops following her through the bookstore. She does not know who he is and he likes that because he can talk to her normally and she does not want something from him. The characters are fun and the storyline is terrific, with many twists and surprises. She has been sheltered and listens to classical while going to college while he is on the road with the band, Pushing Daisies, most of the time. Shifting things around a bit, they get a taste of what being together means to them and they are addicted to each other. His family is so supportive and they work wonders to help. Loved the radio station situation at the end. Can not wait to read more from this author.

This is the third book in this intriguing series and is Bonham and Jurnie’s story. Bonham is the drummer for Pushing Daisies and is home for a brief time as the band have a well-deserved break. Jurnie has had a sheltered life, and just wants to escape from under her parent thumb, and she is an intern at a radio station. When Bonham and Jurnie meet in a bookstore, there is an instant attraction between them, and the chemistry is undeniable. How will Jurnie cope with the attention the band received while they are on tour? This is a well written story which pulls at the heart strings throughout, and is a sweet read, with drama, emotions, witty banter, humor, family, and love, which leads to an entertaining and all-consuming page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
This book has made me reconsider my tablet and crave a bookstore if someone like Bonham would be there, let alone dream of the hook-up Jurnie scored (quarantine didn't help this, but wasn't the only reason). I've been on this trip with not only Pushing Daisies but also Courting Chaos so they now feel like extended family so I'm more personally invested. Can't get enough of them and am thrilled that we have some more brothers to get through so the fun will continue. Can be read alone but check out the others in this series to get the full story plus pretend to experience a concert (if you still remember what that is). I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I am so in love with the Pushing Daisies Series by Heather Young-Nichols. Book 3 is Bonham's story. He is Van's identical twin and the drummer for Pushing Daisies. He meets Jurnie when she rushes up to him at the bookstore asking him pretend to be her boyfriend when she tries to get rid of a strange guy that won't leave her alone. Bonham is instantly smitten and surprised that Jurnie has no idea who he is. Jurnie was raised in a very strict home after her older sister had a child at 16 years old. Because of this she is very innocent in the ways of the world. But there is no denying the intense chemistry between Bonham and Jurnie. As they spend together, they quickly fall in love. But will Bonham's rockstar lifestyle and Jurnie's parents keep them apart? 5 stars!
This is the third installment of the Pushing Daisies series. This is Bonham and Jurnie's story.
Jurnie is a sweet innocent girl that gets herself into a predicament that Bonham has to help her out of. She has no idea who he is and that he's in a famous band. Bonham loves that she doesn't want anything from him and has no idea who he is.
They end up spending a lot of time together while Bonham has down time. Bonham was such a sweet guy. He treated Jurnie right and really tried to reassure her that the women he deals with on a regular basis don't mean anything to him.
This is a sweet rockstar romance where these characters have to learn to trust each. I highly recommend this series.
“Sweet” and “cute” are not words I had ever expected to use when describing rock star fiction. Yet, that seems to have become the case when describing this author’s rockers and the relationships they find. Bonham and Jurnie have one of the best meet cutes ever and from there the pair just click. Throughout the story, even when one or the other is having doubts, it’s obvious how much they care. I’m loving the author’s viewpoint on backstage with a rock tour. Now, I have my suspicions but I’m dying to find out what’s going on with big brother Mack. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book through Booksprout.
This story is really sweet. Bonham and Jurnie meet by chance when she is running away from a creeper guy who is following her and doesn't take no for an answer. She quickly pretends that Bonham is her boyfriend in order for the guy to get away, and little did she know that she was approaching a famous rockstar. The connection between them is immediate, and they didn't expect this meeting to become serious. The development of their relationship is really sweet to see. I loved how they care about each other. I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series. I highly recommend the reading.
This is a sweet romance that is fairly clean. It is also an entertaining read that had me captivated from the very beginning. I love the characters and the plot is interesting and engaging. This is Bonham and Jurnie's story. She has lived a sheltered life because of her sisters untimely pregnancy. She is trying to get a way from a creep who will not leave her alone. She goes up to Bonham in the bookstore and he becomes her knight in shining armor. She has no idea that he is the drummer of the band Pushing Daisies. She is refreshing to Bonham. Such a good story with some wittiness and fun. Now I want to read the other ones in the series.
This series is built around the members of Pushing Daisies a rock band on the rise. Each book features a different member of the band. I enjoyed this book a lot. It's the story of Bonham, Pushing Daisies drummer, and Jurnie, the sheltered young woman he falls for. The main characters, Bonham and Jurnie, are very likable and definitely have chemistry. The story is sweet and sexy. It doesn't have a whole lot of drama but still held my interest from beginning to end. I liked it a lot.
I did not take off points for editing issues because I am reviewing an advance reader copy so hopefully it was cleaned up before publication. This review is given one hundred percent voluntarily.
I am so in love with the Pushing Daisies series , from the moment I read the very first book I have completely infatuated with all the characters , each so unique and intriguing on their own . Bonham and Jurnie ( I cannot even express how much I adored both of their characters. I loved their first meeting In the bookstore, the way that he was so completely entranced by her from the moment they meet . I could not read this fast enough . Of course this is a series about rockstars which is one of my absolute favorite tropes . But seriously if your looking for a awesome Series full of steam and chemistry and seconds chances look no further
Jurnie is an intern at a radio station they were talking on air when Jurnie told them that she loved a violinist named Daisy Thompson now the DJ tells Jurnie that Daisy is in a band with her brothers called Pushing Daisies Jurnie was shocked she didn’t know the band, but little did she know that the band was listening to her interview and as fate would have it Bonham and Jurnie meet but I will let you find that out for yourself. I loved this story it’s my absolute favourite genre rockstars, bands etc and I definitely recommend this book/ series.
This is book three in the Pushing Daisies series and it's Bonham and Jurnie's story. Jurnie and Bonham meet when a guy is bugging her so she heads to the first 'nice' guy she sees who just happens to be Bonham and pretends like he's her boyfriend. The best part is Bonham went along with her fake boyfriend idea. This is a sweet love story the characters are likable and I like the way the author brought Bonham and Jurnie together. The storyline is good and I look forward to reading the next book in this series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Jurnie is followed around a bookstore by a guy that wont take no for an answer. So she pretends to be with a guy she sees, even though she has no idea who he is. She doesnt know he is in a band, she just liked him.
Bonham is the drummer for Pushing Daisies. When he acts as Jurnies white Knight, they are infatuated with each other right away. They are so adorable together, and have the cutest dates!!
This book was so freaking sweet!! There was little drama and they are my favorite couple now! Go read these books!
I just absolutely love, love, love the characters from pushing daisies. I thought Bonham and jurnies characters were amazing! I did however think the ending was a little abrupt… There should’ve been more about Her parents reactions at the end. Heather I don’t know who your proofreader is but you need to find a new one. There were so many wrong words wrong tense etc.that it was a bit distracting. Your great stories deserve to be perfect. Can’t wait for the next installment
