When journalist, Madison Birch, buys a cute cottage in Apple Pie Creek, she’s told it just needs a few cosmetic updates. And then the place falls apart. Distraught, she calls on Luke Cartwright for a rescue.
Luke was only in town to build a restaurant, and he’s eager to get away from a place that holds so many bad memories for him. But when a damsel in distress calls on him, he stays to do battle with her plumbing and the ghost she’s convinced is living in her house.
As a threat to the Cartwright Ranch rocks his entire family, Madison jumps in to help Luke investigate it. Thrown together in a desperate race against time, will these two commitment-phobes do the unthinkable and fall in love before they find a way to save the ranch?

================== This is the book I read, but it actually appeared on my Kindle as Saving Wes. My review was originally posted on the wrong book, but I have tried to correct it. Beware that there is a mix-up in the book titles apparently on Goodreads and Amazon.
I downloaded a book called "Saving Wes" but he was a secondary character, I suppose the content of the book belongs to "Saving Luke". So the review is for that book.
The first chapters are about Luke and Madison, then they go to the old farmhouse and meet Wes and the other brothers, next chapters Luke and Madison again. So quite clearly the books were interchanged.
There were a lot of inconsistencies and the book could use a good editor: - although Luke never read the letter before he made fotocopies for everybody for this meeting and then reads said letter; - Madison buys the house, gets the keys, has somebody set up electrcity, the pipes burst, she calls Luke, he calms her down for an hour, switches off electricity, drives her to his house, she takes a long hot shower and changes into dry clothes, they go to the meeting, discuss the shocking news, he organizes a crew to take out her old carpets, they go there and watch - and the reader is to believe all that happened in ONE day? - the lawyer couldn''t say whether such claim after years of silence was legitimate, it is his bread and butter; - the renovation of her house is super fast as well: putting in electricity and plumbing in one day? magic craftsmen!!! - how old is Luke? one time it says 30 years, but as Jesse is a younger brother, who got his BA and played for 10 years football, Jesse should be 32, that makes Luke at least 33. - Jesse, a football player, was in knee surgery during the meeting, he shows up at Luke's house the next day; I doubt it is possible and done to leave hospital, get in a plane and drive a car the next day, later he uses Luke's gym. Usually professionals in sport would start with physical rehab under supervision immediately and driving a car is not possible due to the cast.
A lot of the story is told not shown, we learn that Madison got the recipes from Felicity, why couldnt we read the telephone call? The same applies to her interaction with Jesse.
It was fun to read her interviews of the former poker players, those scenes were well done.
What a sweet read. I loved Luke and Madison story. Two souls intertwined. I love a journey that pulls you in and brings a little bit of ghostly adventure. I'm so looking forward to see how all the journeys in this series are coming along
