Chase Fulton #20

The Abandoned Chase

Rate this book
With the scalding sting of betrayal still tearing at his soul, American covert operative Chase Fulton steps through a door he believes he can never reopen and into a world unlike the one he’d known since stepping off the playing field and onto the battlefield.

Can the warrior inside embrace the simple, quiet life, or does the siren call of smoke, fire, and victory beckoning on wind and wave prove itself to be an undeniable thirst quenched only on the edge of the sword and the gleaming tip of the spear?

Driven by a boundless yearning to unseat the powerful men who nearly delivered him and his team into the jaws of the relentless beast in the name of revenge, Chase plots a course for justice and ultimate vengeance. But will his single-minded determination upon that course prove to be the blinders that hide his true foe? Will Chase Fulton summon the fortitude to survive the relentless assault of the enemy within, or will the powerful retain their throne and add his body to the swelling mound of those who tried and failed?

Creator of The Chase Fulton Novels series and The Avenging Angel - Seven Deadly Sins Series, Cap Daniels is a former sailing charter captain, scuba and sailing instructor, pilot, Air Force veteran, and civil servant of the U.S. Department of Defense. Raised far from the ocean in rural East Tennessee, his early infatuation with salt water was sparked by the fascinating, and sometimes true, sea stories told by his father, a retired Navy chief petty officer. Those stories of adventure on the high seas sent Cap in search of adventure of his own, which eventually landed him on Florida’s Gulf Coast where he and his wife Melissa spend as much time as possible on, in, and under the waters of the Emerald Coast.

With a headful of larger-than-life characters and their thrilling exploits, Cap pours his love of adventure and passion for the ocean onto the pages of his action adventure series, The Chase Fulton Novels and his new series Avenging Angel - Seven Deadly Sins.

Inspired by the likes of John D. Macdonald’s Travis McGee, Randy Wayne White’s Doc Ford, and Wayne Stinnett’s Jesse McDermitt, Cap creates thrilling tales of action and adventure set throughout the Caribbean and coastal Florida and Georgia by intertwining nautical adventure with international espionage. Cap’s Chase Fulton Novels series promises to keep readers on the edge of their seats, trying to guess what new danger or adventure lies just around the corner.

The Avenging Angel - Seven Deadly Sins series is a spin-off starring the most controversial and intriguing character from the Chase Fulton Novels. After defecting to the United States, Anastasia "Anya" Burinkova, a former Russian SVR assassin and intelligence operative puts her lethal skill set into action against the powerful Russian Mafia. In this gritty, organized-crime thriller series, Cap Daniels takes his readers into the dark underworld of the Russian Mafia weaving actual events into fiction to leave the reader's heart pounding and their fingers itching to turn the page.

Another great one

What a great, fun read. The dynamics between Chase and his team compares to none. One minute you're laughing out loud at the team kidding and the next you're knee deep in excitement. I love how Anya is still a player even though she has her own series. Too often spin-offs cut the cord. This is not the case for both series. Kudos, Cap! You've done it again. 😊💕

Back on track....

Out of the 20 books I have read , this one is one of the best..
A great storey line action was slow and deliberate, keeping my attention, and built to a great ending.. Good job Cap

Another Hit

Once again Cap Daniels has given us another fast paced story of Chase, Penny, Hunter, Disco, Singer and the rest of the team. As with the rest of the series , the books ate fun and the characters easy to believe. On the list for the next installment.

Last 10 books

Came to this series late so have 32 to read. Read the last 10 back to back and all of them have been good
The characters are excellent, the humor laugh out loud funny and the storylines well thought out
I do have some reservations and are the only.reasons none of these books got 5* from me
The religious aspects are becoming too prominent. It's obvious there would be some aspect of it all given the Singer character, but its becoming more profound with each book
The family/brotherhood aspect is becoming tiresome. It's almost as if every book has to one up itself.on the previous one
Lastly and this is not storyline related, some books literally start at the very point the previous book ends, even to the point the same.converation continues, in those instances they should be one book. They are not.lomg in the first place, erging 2 books just seems the logical and easy option

Chase and Team are undermined by an inside trusted source

2009 and Chase Fulton is sitting in his office with a client. Dr. Fulton - Psychotherapists! What has Cap Daniels done? Abandoned his loyal readers and no more action, adventure, suspense and finally joy when Chase and his Team put away the bad guys? Have no fear! Cap is only teasing us a little before he unloads with another exciting story to keep you up all night and not put down the device until the last page is finished. Yes, in my opinion he has knocked it out of the park again!

Subterfuge, undermining events happening without his control and worse is from trusted people. Is it inner circle or from a control element that is unreachable and unknown? Chase and Team must get back into their former mental and physical condition but it has been a long time…. Can they do it? Former characters reappear and…… does Anya reappear?

Don’t miss the fun, intrigue, tongue in cheek jokes and innuendos as only Cap Daniels can deliver. Set aside that special time and bring yourself another Chase Fulton adventure.

Your time looking at my Review is appreciated. Thank you. I hope you find it Valuable, Informative, Interesting and HELPFUL. 😃

The Mission Comes Home

What do you do when the enemy is not ‘out there’ but is instead ‘in here’? When what should be friendly fire becomes deadly fire Chase faces perhaps his most difficult adversaries. The team gets help from an unexpected source which will only raise Chase’s level of concern. What appears to be simple and routine becomes anything but that. The twists and turns deliver right to the very end. I had trouble putting this book down. Just when you might think Cap Daniels has exhausted possible scenarios, he gives us this gem. I can’t wait to see what is next.

Always a 5 star ratings on these books. In this one, Chase and his team have taken a couple of years off of taking any missions. Chase is still haunted by almost losing two of his best friends and members of the team.

Chase is finally drawn back in when it comes to "getting even" with the men that put them in the position. The position of betrayal. Now he has to see if his team is willing to get back in action and this might be the one that ends it for Chase.

Another thriller that keeps you turning those pages!

After years of retirement, the team is taking action against the two board members who hurt them.

Defending the people who can't defend themselves is the reason for aspect trained teams. The level of danger determines level of training. Chase and his team to where few others would to protect citizens from danger no one knows about. Those who know can who gratitude. Fantastic story!

enthralling

I don’t know how Cap does it but each new addition to the Chase Fulton collection out does the last. Our heroes are on the path to find the people who led them down the wrong path on their past mission. With twists and turns and a new approach to this mission our team of heroes purge the evil and bring back the good they stand for. I couldn’t put it down!

Chase scores again

Mr. Daniels keeps producing excellent adventures for this team! He puts them in places no other team has been and all of them contribute to their escape! This story reads fast just like the other 19 have. These characters are very believable and I hope Mr. Daniels keeps them occupied for years to come!!

Not my Favorite!

Let me preface my comments by saying what an absolute fan I am of the Chase Fulton Series and all of Cap Daniels books and writing, this was, however my least favorite episode. The storyline was shallow and (IMHO ill-conceived) and quite unbelievable! The entire story was incredulous considering the history and development of the Team... just, very unlikely!

Another Barn Burner!

Well, I should say Boathouse Burner! What a great action-packed story! I don't know how Cap Daniels keeps coming up with these stories, but each one is just absolutely spot on. I was a little tickled about Chase and the team out to put a little fear in the 2 Board guys from the last book, but, of course, the best laid plans...

The 20th as good if not better than the 1st in the series. Reading each one as soon as published, all of the characters have become like old and dear friends and I can’t wait for the next book to be released. Cap Daniels is a fantastic author who hopefully has many more years of books to write to thrill and entertain us all.

Some authors get better with age.

I believe that this author has found the keys to writing a great story. I really enjoy the Chase Fulton series, this book being one of his best. The only thing that bothered me was the rapid ending Into the epilogue. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series.

The Abandoned Chase: A Chase Fulton Novel (Chase Fulton Novels Book 20)

Just as were the first 19 books, this book highlights the experience and expertise of a highly professional team of operators set in the unique setting of St Mary’s, Georgia. Strong characters. A well told story.

Another great adventure for Chase and his team (and one other). Love the story which is probably closer to the truth than most think. Still trying to figure out Clark's nickname but something tells me it will pop up somewhere.
Great job, Cap.

ANOTHER MIND BOGGLING ADVENTURE

Another great adventure by Cap Daniels. Every time I thought I had figured out where the book was headed, he would throw in another twist and head off in a direction that I had never considered.

20 Volumes Young

Still entertaining me. I just wish I hadn’t caught up because I wait months to devour a new one within a day or two. No spoilers but I liked the gang getting back together, maybe not the flirtation from lady death.

started slow but caught fire halfway thru

This book was a surprise. The build of the drama took a while but then kept bringing one suspenseful turn after another. Although brief Ana always brightens the storyline. Can’t wait for the next Chase Fulton novel.

Lotta blood and guts

As usual. If that's your cup o' tea, then this series is for you. I've read a good many of them and while blood and guts are no longer my favorite thing, they still pop up on my list of books to read. Good characters, good writing.
