Forreston, PA is a nice town, a place where hard-working families raise their kids and help their neighbors. Unfortunately, even nice places have their problems, and Forreston is no exception. Forreston has worms.
Lymantria dispar, to be precise, a species of voracious moth larvae that ravages the trees of western PA every year. But this year, things are a little different. In the old days, the caterpillars stayed in the trees and restricted their diet to leaves. This year, thanks to an abandoned Government experiment, they're bigger, meaner and hungrier. These caterpillars bite, and their venom causes freakish transformations in their victims.
It's up to pest control experts Tommy Cooper and Wes Wozniak to find a solution to the invasion before Forreston becomes a literal ghost town.
Yes, lots of grAmar Erors. Not too bad and I am sure it will be better his next book. Anywho, what a great book. Good characters and decent plot. Loved the mutant worms and their zombie victims. Had a definite small town feel to it making the worm invasion that more dramatic. There wasn't necessarily an central evil corporation or mad billionaire behind the mayhem leaving lots more story for our small group of central characters. I love creature feature books and this one clicked all the right boxes. Thanks. Hoping for more good horror from this new author. Highly recommended.
A good book - admittedly had a break for a *few* month and managed to pick it right back up - but it had a lot of mistakes which became frustrating adding in the missing words/letters. But what’s to hate about killer caterpillars?! Enough gore to keep me goin and a storyline to juuuust enough hold me on to it xo
*edited to add -few- cause didn’t realise how long I left it to finish the last half but that took less than 48hrs for a v slow reader so that says something??*
Forreston PA. is a great town, but it has a problem. This year, the problem has grown larger and has an appetite for something besides leaves. People are changing. The worms are coming out of the trees. Can they be stopped? Creepy crawling creatures to cause lots of shivers.
