"Lost Girl" by Sheridan Anne is a gritty and emotionally intense tale that captures the struggles of a young woman fighting to survive in a harsh world. Her journey is marked by pain, betrayal, and the relentless search for a place to belong, making for a raw and compelling narrative.
I was quickly drawn into the depths of the character's turmoil while also rooting for the moments of hope and resilience. The story's pace is brisk, with enough twists and turns to keep you engaged. Though dark and sometimes heart-wrenching, “Lost Girl” is a powerful exploration of strength, survival, and the search for identity.
I really enjoyed it!

How does Sheridan Anne keep giving us all these fabulous books! She’s a Wonder Woman!
Slade Cruz is quite possibly the sexiest basketball player ever. Holy hotness!!
When he meets Skylah, even though he’s supposed to hate her, there’s absolutely no denying their chemistry.
These two sizzle!!!

An absolute must read!!!

4.5 stars!!

I am absolutely loving this series. Skylah and Slade are a fantastic hero and heroine. Their chemistry is seriously off the charts, the banter between them and their friends has had me in hysterics throughout. I just smile from ear to ear reading about them. The suspense undertone is really ramping up in this book and I, along with every reader are surely waiting for Lucien to get his comeuppance. That drama really comes to the fore and I know that this is nowhere near over. I cannot wait for the next one. I have already started!!

Still trying to get over and forget all the similarities with other books, but also can't put it down!

This story is like an itchy that you had to scratch, and I really feel myself cheering for these people.

This book was a little boring at first... A lot of party, basketball or just crying shit, but it gets better by the end.

Our Raven ... I mean, Skylah still is a hot mess... She swears to God that she's a real bad bitch and stronger than the devil himself, but apparently it only applies to little highschool bitches who cross her way, and still then, she's not flawless.
In general she's always crying or feared of her past, and I totally understand that.

That ending leave me a little more enthusiastic about the rest of the series... I'm still trying to find the Dark stuff. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Oh wow!!!! What’s with every cliffhanger!! Ugghhhhhh!!! Please stop torturing us! Lolll. I am really happy that the author, Sheridan, was able to give us a POV of Slade (I mentioned it in my review on the 1st book of this series) We are able to see who Slade really is, what was his take on Skylah’s past, what are his fears and insecurities (which is none lolll), we get to see a whole new version or the different side of Slade. I freaking love how the author listens to us readers!

Skylah continues to prove that she’s the boss bitch in town and while keeping up her reputation, deep down she’s a softie who craves for a mother’s touch and guidance in which she found in Slade’s mom.

If you think the major spoiler has already been blurted out in the first book, then think again... there’s even more spoilers in this book which left me saying WTF!!

I’d love to reread this and update my review. This is just me after I literally finish the whole book overnight! It took me atleast 3 hours to finish this - I need to reread each paragraph to really understand it!!! It’s just too much. Ahhhh!!

I demand for the next book be available ASAP!

Wow!!!

In Ugly Girl book 1, Sheridan sets the stage for this incredible read and introduced us to the characters and back story. In book 2, we get more of the relationship aspect of Shay and Slade as well as the continuation of the danger they both find themselves in. As they struggle to work out some pretty intense issues, they're inexplicably drawn to one another despite serious obstacles. Although I didn't think it possible to shock me more than some of the twists unveiled in Book 1, book 2 will blow your mind! This is a crazy ride of action packed suspense and a sexy as sin story about one brave beauty and her alpha bad boy lover. Slade is definitely my new all time favorite alpha male. He's one hot alpha, hell bent on protecting the woman he loves. In my opinion, you can't help but be completely drawn into this story and the characters. Well worth the read! I cannot wait to see where Sheridan Anne takes us in the next installment of this series!

This was an easy 5 stars for me!

I can not explain this book it was such an amazing story she was able to get you to the feelings of every character. To see how Skylah was able to actually open up and be vulnerable in this story is such an amazing thing because she is finally starting to feel safe and that she has somewhere that is safe for her. Then to have it all go away because Slade gets upset is just heart breaking. I love her and nessa as friends they just balance each other out in a weird way its heart warming to see. Then to see Skylah and Slade actually start coming back together and figuring things out only to be left with a cliff hanger is driving me crazy I need to know what happens.

OMG

Yet again I don't believe in putting spoilers in a review. But this second book will keep you on the edge of your seat. Rooting for Skylah. Your heart will cheer in all the right places and break for her in all the rest. And at the end you will be left with the cliff hanger from woah. Poor Cruz!! Thank the goodness book three releases in two days!!! I cannot wait to continue this series!! Sheridan you are freaking amazing ma'am!!!

description

This may be the best series Sheridan Anne has written! Lost Girl is absolutely phenomenal!

Skylah Daniels is Anne's top h to date. That girl has been through h**l and back and just came back stronger. My heart absolutely breaks for everything she has been through. Slade Cruz is the man for her. He's the broody alpha a**hole, who becomes complete mush for her.

When secrets are revealed loyalty is tested. Sometimes truths aren't ours to tell and it puts us in terrible positions. This is exactly where Skylah finds herself. Having had her secrets revealed to the world she knows what it's like.

Skylah and Slade's story is messy and raw. There's a lot of things going on that neither should have to deal with. The petty high school bulls**t doesn't even register for them.

I could not read this book fast enough but didn't want it to end. The closer I got to the end the faster I turned the pages but wanted them to stop moving. Anne had me on the edge of my seat needing to know what was going to happen.

And let's talk about that cliffhanger! The only reason she's not currently getting messages from telling her I hate her is because I know there are two other books in this series.

Aston Creek is a must read!

She was once a victim but now she's a survivor.

It should of been their time, now they weren't fighting, but there's a secret that has the power to destroy the fragile foundation of their new beginning.

How long before the truth is known and darkness descends...

This is the second book in this utterly addictive new series. "Ugly girl" was the first book. You do need to read them in order as this is a direct continuation.

Skylar is toned down majorly in this book, with only flashes here and there of her angry girl attitude.

We see more of her heart and emotions. She is only human no matter how hard her outer shell is after all.

Slade steps up to the plate and I liked the protector in him. He's such an alpha but in the right way!

Aston Creek has never seen so much drama, angst, tears and anger and I for one loved every second of it.

I've only recently come across this author, Sheridan Anne but I can already tell you she's one to watch!

Her stories get to me, her characters bury themselves in my heart and long into the night do I replay scenes I've read.

What more do you need from a book?

This was a great addition to this series. The plot was strong, it was written well with many emotions. The characters were strong than ever. Skylah and Slade's journey hasn't been easy at all. They've had many ups and downs, their journey was a rollercoaster but they were drawn to each other.
This was a great story. I'm looking forward to reading more.
Thank you, Sheridan Anne. Great work :)

Suspense, secrets, heartache, and more. Guaranteed to make you cry in spots. Skylah has been through to much. If she gives her heart to Slade, will he break it? Can she just be friends with Damian? Can she forgive her brother? What will happen when Slade finds out the truth about everything? Will the police help her and Slade's mother? What will Lucian do to get her back?

THIS BOOK... I cannot say enough about this series. I read the first one in a day but I couldn't put Lost Girl down. Just when you think you know what's going on Sheridan throws a curveball and I absolutely love it. If you need a good series to read during this quarantine look no further but I will warn you the CLIFFHANGER has left me dying for more.

Sky has to be my most favorite character of Sheridan's to date. I used to think no one could top Tora from Broken Hill but I was wrong. Sheridan Anne has easily became my favorite author and I can't wait to continue reading her books.

This book starts off right from the cliffhanger that was in Lost Girl and doesn't miss a beat. Skylah just continues to show us that no matter how much she has to go through she is going to come out a stronger person every time. Then there's Slade and boy where to start I feel like he can do no wrong. They had me on the edge of my seat the whole book.

I would recommend reading this book as fast as you can and then reading it again (starting it for a second time now). Yes this series is just that good. Get It. Read It. Love It.

This is the second book in the Aston Creek High series, and the continuation of Slade, and Skylah story. This book continues to take you on a roller coaster of emotions, as we unraveled the web of secrets, and lies. This is another must read in this series, the characters are well developed, and have great chemistry, and I can't wait to read the next book!

Lost Girl
Aston Creek High, Book 2
By: Sheridan Anne
Narrated by: Stefanie Kay, Nathaniel Gray

I am so glad to get back to Aston Creek High! After the explosive first book, I needed more, and Sheridan Anne gave it to me! Skylah and Slade continue their relationship, but as feelings grow, secrets are released. Skylah and Slade's mother have kept things from Slade and when he finds out, all bets are off. Lucian is being taunted by these two, and they are hoping to get him out in the open. But Lucian has other plans. Anne has so many twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat that I couldn't stop listening! Slade is one for me that was hard to like, but as I get to know him better in this book, he has grown on my. Skylah is a strong woman, and she loves with her whole heart and is loyal to the core. I am loving this book, but the cliffhanger on this one has left me wanting!!!! I need Wild Girl to see where it goes next!

Stefanie Kay is amazing as she continues her narration of the series. She delves into these characters and creates the best voices for her characters. Each one is consistent from the first book, and she adds so much emotion and excitement that it's easy get caught up in the story. Nathaniel Gray pops in a couple of times as Slade, giving him a voice that is exactly as I hear him in my head. A bit alpha, a bit little boy, he finds the emotional turmoil Slade has. This is a great listen and one that should not be missed!

This book is AMAZING!
Skylar & Slade ❤️
The perfect follow up to ‘Ugly Girl’
This book has just the right amount of Love, Sex and intrigue.
Yes, our two leads hate/love then just LOVE each other but, the background story is just as important.
Sometime authors tease out a hate/love bully romance, and all the best parts are always written in the lead up to the couple getting together. Once they two leads seal the deal, it can feel like some authors drop the ball and the story can become too predictable.
Not S. A. Nah ah
Sheridan Anne’s books are smart and always well written.
Even that secondary characters all are very real.
There is no fluff-out-the-word-count long inner monologue or unnecessary story lines here.
Every party, basketball ball game, or encounter with another character is relevant to the story and has a value to the plot.
The repartee between Sky, Slade, and Damien is GOLD!

I’m glad Maze turned out to be a crazy bitch because I seriously hated her over he top attitude btw.

And while it took me a while, I eventually warmed up to Nessa/Vanessa (FYI unfiltered Damien may well be my new book boyfriend😍)
Hmmmm....I get the feeling there is going to be a Damien story... 🤔 heard it here first peeps.
Go read this book people. There are a lot out there doing this genre, but Sheridan Anne has got the page turning, angst driven love/hate/love stories DOWN!
She is the master 5 BIG Stars!!!

I thought Ugly girl was an emotional roller coaster....but lost girl is out of this world with the ups and downs. This book is steamy and will have you on the edge of your seat at ever page. Slade and Skylah might still be new going forward with there relationship but the bond they have and the way they interact with each other is like they have been together a lot longer, but there relationship is also being tested in a way that most teenagers would never imagine. Add in the secrets that start to come out in this book and it will have you wanting to yell - I did a few times. I did not see a certain secret coming at all and that’s what I love about Sheridan she can twist a plot and have you blown away by the bomb she snuck in. This book dose not lack in humor and I love how Damian can lighten moments I’m really curious to see where his character goes. Once again there is some triggers in this book due to rape and violence so readers be aware. can’t wait to see what’s in store for this series.

Oh Lord sweet baby Jesus how the hell did this happen. I read Ugly girl yesterday then went right in the Lost Girl. I had no clue that these book were lightly connected to Haven Falls but I loved the connection so as soon as I saw that it just made them even better. Sky and Slade are both fire always but heads in the best way. I loved there push and pull from the start.

Lost Girl picks right up from Ugly Girl. The dynamic of this new group of friends is great. Sky has a crazy battle ahead of her with the battle with Lucien and with new betrayal around every corn it’s hard to know who to trust. When Slade learns of his dark past Skys and his relationship is put in jeopardy but Sky fights for what she wants. This book is really amazing and I just keep getting blown away by how every series keeps getting better Lost Girl did not disappoint and Aston Creek as whole will be epic!

I received an ARC of a Lost Girl in exchange for an honest review of this amazing book.

So I just finished this book and I really liked it. I did feel at times it was a bit slow moving but was not hard to read. I like what the author did with making Nessa and Skylah friends and for Nessa wanting to make amends with everyone she has wronged. Nessa will be good for Skylah at first I wondered what her goal was but it does seem she really likes Skylah and genuinely wants to be her friend. I was a little annoyed that Slade blamed Skylah and felt so betrayed that she did not tell him about his father when she was 100% right it was not her secret to tell. Tho Im glad he came to his senses and finally confessed his love for Skylah. The ending is another cliff hanger tho which has been the norm for any series not a single story.

I think I read a different book than everyone else, as all I see in the reviews are 4-5 star ratings. Book two in the series delves deeper into the lives of the MC's & their families revealing a few more secrets & apparent dangers & threats from Skylah & Slade's past. Most of the story breezes through their daily activities, parties & conflicts at high school. I found myself skimming until I reached the last two chapters where a very exciting & threatening experience could change both of their lives. The villain & arch enemy Lucien Valentine is relentless which leads us to a very interesting cliff hanger & possible developments in book three. The best part for me was the strengthened relationship between Skylah & Slade. I do hope their troubles are resolved very soon. I'm still curious for more but this book was just an ok read for me.

Everything about Lost Girl is just amazing... only took me a day to read it because I was that hooked. There was so much that happened in Lost Girl but definitely needed to happen to get to the end of this story. I will say that this ending was a killer because I was on the edge of my seat reading it. Sheridan Anne is always writing the most amazing stories with the best characters and Lost Girl is no different. The ending has me wanting the next one so bad that I don't want to wait to find out what happens next. Also Slade is the best book boyfriend right now the best one yet, and Sky is a bad ass bitch!!!

So excited to keep on reading what's going to happen next for Slade and Sky!!!! I recommend this series for sure.

Holy guacamole, Batman! Our girl Sky would have suffered less if she was hit by a MAC truck. This girl deserves everything sweet, nice, and happy in life, but unfortunately that isn't in the cards for her yet. Sky and Slade are great together, and make one heck of a power couple. Their relationship definitely gets tested in this book. There are so many things you just don't see coming, so many emotions you're going to feel, that there will be no way for you to put this book down. I loved the boss b**ch showing everyone why they shouldn't mess with her. I loved all the character growth from certain people. Hated the heartbreak and betrayals so many have/had to suffer. Can't wait to find out how certain people will be dealt with. In desperate need of book 3!!
