How do you deal with a political elite that is destroying the lives of its people? Assassins...
The Island has a problem with its ruling class. A problem a sacred sect called the Keepers will fix. Jerin and Brea strive in the shadows to preserve the race of men and this is just another task to be done. But when the two assassins find the one thing they don't expect, their duty falls away and a fight for the future of the world begins.
Magic was destroyed long ago. A plague killed the others. History is as the people have always known. It's not like everything the Keepers know is a lie... or is it?
Keepers Fall: A Rogues of Magic standalone novel (Lost Tales of the Realms Book 11), my eighteenth read from author J.T. Williams. A 188-page fantasy read, well-written, entertaining & enjoyable. I'll read more from this author. I own 49 other books by this author & after reading this one they've just moved higher on my TBR list. “I received a Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading Wrath of the Half-Elves (The Rogue Elf #5). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
So good, I read this in one evening and didn't want to put it down! The Keeper's worked for the Grand Protectorate killing people they thought was bad. Brea and Jerin in didn't question why or what but they had to do what their Masters told them to do. Brea and Jerin worked together and was told to get a package that happened to be an Elf child. The story really starts rolling from there. Good reading!
Another great story set in the Realms. Strong characters that will keep you intrigued forever. There’s no stopping once you start. You felt as if you were a part of their journey. Don’t miss out.
