great.
The first chapter alone captured my attention! The nerve of Niko and his family! I am praying for the r downfall because they need to pay. I like Heavy & Adore and cannot wait to see more of them. Quay & Isis need to stop playing with me lol. I loved the flow of the story & the way the plot twists happened. The bombshell at the end definitely has me unnerved. Awesome job.

What's Really Going On?
J. Dominique. Well, Well, Well. Now this dang gone cliffhanger baby baby. Why is it just because a person has a bit of change, they think they are untouchable? Let's see, Quay and Isis have a love hate relationship. Heavy is a straight up guy, Adore, has had a raw deal forever, now she has put herself in some mess that has caused her to lose so much. Heavy has snakes all around him, now he has formed a new partnership to catch a snake but at what cost? The Blacks need to get knocked down a few pegs. Will Adore be the one to turn the hand she got dealt around? Heavy may be the help Adore needs. Quay, needs to think with his head and not his heart! I need part2 ASAP ma'am! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

Oh wow....
That cliff hanger caught me completely by surprise! Im rooting for Adore and cant wait to see what she has in store for Niko and his family. This book has alot of surprises because I definitely didnt see Bronx' character playing out like it did. But he made the story more interesting...thats for sure. Im also waiting to see how Heavy handles his whole baby momma situation because she is scandalous! This isnt my first book by J. Dominique and I mist say, she delivers every time. There were a few errors but it didnt take away from the flow of the story. I was definitely determined to finish in one night once I started because I was anxious to see how Adores' story played out. Hopefully part two wont be long.

Series setup
The book is a little weak and boring, but anticipation is building. It is clear the author is setting up for next book in the series, but it is at the expense of crumb dropping in this one. Adore is supposed to be smart like her mother; but not realizing that she is being again makes her “insane” considering that is all the Blacks have done. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. In prison for 8 years; yet the author wrote her as naive as she went in with no growth, Girl bye. A bunch of women with a bunch of stories and she knows nothing. No one told her how to play her situation. She let the narrative be that she killed in a jealous rage while being underage. Going to a hotel and not recording dude. I guess she was supposed to be viewed as a victim being taken advantage of because of her desperation willing to sacrifice her morality and self-respect. She is her greatest enemy.
Heavy could see Bronx was moving in the shade. Why would he be the right when he moves in opposition? You don’t have to keep checking the right hand. The right hand must be trusted to rep you not babysat. You got eyes and high connections. Awww, great foresight, so let me go on a run while my right hand is moving out of sync.
Am I the only one that notice that Black Sr. can eliminate two men that have threatened him, and he can’t control by having them destroy each other. Is he more than Niko's puppet master? He is a man that does recognize that Adore can destroy his family's name and standing. He has shown his power to manipulate no matter the morality. In bed with a drug kingpin and participation in coercion of an unjust contract, and continued involvement feeding his thirst for desecration of those not in align with his portrait will breed his demise.
Finally, characters in a small circle met naturally rather than ridiculous coincidences. Thank you!
This book is as easy read. My rating is in reference this volume not being a book with compelling content. Knowing Ms. Dominique put pieces in place for avengers, I will continue reading this series.

PARTY TIME and IT’S GOING DOWN!
Adore was 17 and in love with Niko but being 17 and him being 23 was going to be an issue plus his family was well to do and she was not considered of their status. When Adore thought about he loved her, brought no drama but the moment the baby was announced I could feel the shift! As Adore calls her bff Isis to pick her up, CiCi is barging in screaming at Niko. When Adore tries to leave an unfortunate incident happens and lands her 15yrs in jail, 8 yrs w/good behavior because that’s how much time she got. Now out of jail and trying to see her baby proves to really be difficult because Niko and his family are giving her soo much push back! Stipulations and more stipulations happen but Adore has a new friend whispering in her ear on positivity, being strong and he got a little power in the streets and with businesses. Dominique aka Heavy got that bread! Meanwhile, Isis got involved with Adores brother and they are young and crazy. Jaquay. He’s heavy in those streets too. When someone tries to gun Quay down and Heavy’s trucks get robbed someone close is backstabbing and doing some sucker stuff! Adore started working at Heavy’s mother’s restaurant and he is encouraging her to bake some good stuff. Adore is on a mission to get her baby back and Isis is pregnant, entertaining Bronx Heavy’s right hand guy!!!!! Part 2 is going to get FUGLY!!

Adore got dealt a bad hand messing around with De'Niko. Because of him. She lost eight year's of her freedom trying to defend herself and De'Niko didn't have her back. Trying to regain custody of her daughter is going to have her fighting hard because him and his family is in Politics and have leverage over Adore. However she have leverage over De'Niko as well. She was under age when he was messing with her but she also have Heavy on her side and I believe he will have her back. I'm surprised that being alert and very preceptive as he is. Heavy didn't catch on to his best friend being a snake. From the beginning you can tell Bronx was on some sneaky bs. He tried to throw Quay under the bus to hide but luckily. Heavy knew it wasn't Quay. Isis should've realized that Quay is young and in the streets. He wasn't at the age of being seriously committed yet but Quay showed that he loved the hell out of her and don't plan on letting Isis go but that might all go downhill because of the way this ended. I'm curious to know what Isis was doing at Bronx house. It have her looking scandalous to Quay but she had no idea they knew each other. I have a feeling that Quay is going to really cross a line with Isis that he won't be able to come back from.

This was a great book! The first chapter had me hooked !

Great read
Dang Adore can't catch a break! Niko really ain't ish! All this time had passed and he still hasn't grown a set of balls! His daddy still running the show! They een doing right by that baby at all! Yh Farrah raised her but come on! That whole incident was an accident and Niko perverted arse still didn't help! Them turn around wanna extort her for sex! I'm glad Heavy scooped her up because he not bout to let no one else take advantage of her! Cheaper Isis and Quay get married cuz they a match made in Heaven! Now she got a whole heap of mess to clear up and on the real, she een even dealing with Bronx to be caught up. Bronx just a whole dumb dumb! He knows Heavy better than anyone and want snake him! This messy and I'm here for it!

Oh wow.. I loved this book from beginning to the end. It's so many snakes in Heavy circle. Adore can't win from losing she done been through some shit in her life. Niko and his family just pushed Adore and turned up the savage in her. They need to be knocked down a few notches. The fact that Bronx was too ready to blame everyone else in order to deflect the blame from himself made it clear to me right away that he was dishonest and a snake. I'm hoping the relationship between Isis and Quay turns out well because it currently seems a little shaky. They are too damn toxic. I can't wait on part 2 I need all the evil people and snakes to get dealt with!

Straight up page turner!!
This book kept my attention from the beginning to the end! Poor Adore I hope everything works out for her and she gets her baby back cause this Black family is so full of it, I hope she tells it all and don’t have to be afraid of the repercussions since she has Heavy on her side now I hope it part 2 everything starts coming together for Adore!! And Isis!! Quay better let that girl explain cause it’s nothing like he thinks she don’t even know Bronx like that and I hope that he gets exactly what he deserves! Come on with part 2 I can’t wait to finish reading up on these characters!!!

On one hand I wanna feel sorry for Adore. Then on the other hand I wanna slap her. There's no way she believed that nigga Niko when he propositioned her with sex in order to see her daughter. She can't be that naive. After the bullshit he did and put her through - I just can't believe it. I can't wait for Niko - his daddy and his bougie wife to have their day.

Adore missed eight years of her daughter's life because she was defending herself and Niko is a bi%ch azz nicca. The contract Niko Sr. had her to sign is so over the top. I hope she exposes them for the slimy filth that they are. I think Heavy is just what Adore needs. When he finds out the truth he'll be even more in her corner. I hope Quay think before he acts. Yes Bronx deserves a bullet but Isis doesn't. All the women Isis done had to fight over him, he better not overreact. I need part two.💜💜

If you are a 90s person, this book will definitely bring back all those sweet memories, Adore got caught up in a love affair so strong that she ended up paying the ultimate price of betrayal. Heavy was a drug dealing thug with a heart of gold, hopefully he will continue to bring continuous sunshine into Adores life. Bronx was a snake and eventually his evil ways caught up to him. I can’t wait to read part 2 really hoping Isis comes out of this alive considering……

The storyline is on point and it's fast paced. Family, friendships, loyalty ,disrespect, abuse and privlege is what you will get out of this story. Adore deserves so much and I believe Heavy is just the one to give it to her. Niko and his daddy can kick rocks! Now Isis is in some ish unknowingly dealing in a millisecond with a snake,Bronx. Quay need to grow up that's for sure. I can't wait to for part 2, because Adore is following though with her warning as it relates to getting her daughter back!

Okay I Like This Series So Far...Matter Of Fact I Love It! I Love Heavy For Adore. I Think He Will Be Great For Her. Adore Has Been Thru So Much And She Needs A Happy Ending And I Think Heavy Is It. Quay Is Cool But Heavy Is My Favorite. That Cliff Hanger Though...I'm Wondering What Quay Gone Do After Catching Isis At Bronx House. I Look Forward To Reading The Next Part. I Hope Adore Gets Her Daughter Back And Her And Heavy Finally Get Together. I'm Loving It ❤❤❤

Lol Isis is something else her mouth is slick and she is a good friend to adore. Ja'quaz is so immature I hope he grows up he's about to be a dad.isis was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I hope Ja'quaz let her explain. De'niko needs to stand up to his dad. Adore should of read those papers twice before she sign them.I am glad adore and her mother forgive each other. Good Read
My heart breaks for Adore and all that she’s going through trying to get her baby back. I knew Bronx was a snake because he was to eager to blame Quay for his dirty deeds in addition to trying to kill him after Heavy didn’t agree. I didn’t expect Isis to show up at Bronx’s house when she did but how else would it have been brought to light that they knew each other. Did Bronx know she was Quay’s girl? Can’t wait for the fallout.

Well now all these characters are a mess. They have seemed to take crazy to a different level. How you have a kids party and no ice cream nope see special. This was a good book the beginning definitely took me out like really how u make her do jail time and not help when it was your fault she fought the girl in the first place and then the rules to get the kid like seriously that's just something but the ending whew this is too much I can't wait to reading what's going to happen next cause this is something
