Sexy but problematic, alas. Tyler's best friend Seth has been lusting after him; can he get him in the sack if he uses his hot girlfriend as enticement? You can guess the answer... So: hot scenes but content warning for manipulation and lowkey consent violations.
This short is an offshoot of the Stirred Passions series, which follows a bunch of famous actors and their hookups. This one is about Tyler, a minor character in the first book that gets broken up with and also suffers a bit to his reputation - he's seen to be a lacking lover. In this story he's dealing with the fallout to his reputation as a result. But he gets his vindication when his best friend pulls him into a wild threesome - and also shares long-standing feelings for him.
The problem with this one is that the best friend, Seth, basically lies/stretches the truth to get Tyler into a sexual situation. Tyler goes into it thinking it's a no-swords-crossing throwdown, while Seth and his lady friend know it's a setup to get Tyler intimate with Seth.
To be fair, Tyler does learn what's up before much contact happens, and goes along with it. And he calls Seth out on his deception. But they both quickly move on from there, and it stretched my credibility how far Tyler was willing to go considering he's 100% new to sexual or emotional engagement with dudes.
If you can set that aside - which is a lot! - there are some sexy scenes. Also, if you prefer m/m this might still work for you since you can also totally ignore the woman in the scenario, Nixie. She has no personality beyond "sex goddess" and a voyeurism kink, and is totally forgettable.
I like the overall series, but I wish this story for a side character focused more on a realistic emotional arc for Tyler and Seth instead of jumping straight (haha) into the sexy times.

Seriously?? SERIOUSLY!!! This novella did NOT just end like that...that was NOT enough...I demand more!!!
Tyler and Seth were blazing hot together. I loved the eye-opening for Tyler that being with Seth meant. This story was fast paced and short but the connection between MCs felt real and genuine.
Like said this was just to damn short - I feel like I'm cheated out of a great full length book 😜 I WANT MOOOORE ❤️

Screw Driver is another short(ish) and super sexy read by Madelynne Ellis. Tyler has some questions going about his personal life in the press, which is affecting his career, so his best friend, Seth, suggests that they spend time together with Nixie. Nixie isn't in a relationship with Seth, they're basically just friends with benefits, so Seth knows Nixie's fantasies. So off these 3 go on a super sexy, super fun journey together. Now, who ends up with who is an outcome which you'll have to hit those one click buttons to find out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Be prepared for the unexpected in this dazzling triad of unconventional connections. Tyler and Seth have been best friends forever and when Seth decides to help Tyler changed his image all bets are off. Nixie Owen joins their plan and between the three of them they discover that there is so much more to life. It is all about living your truth and breaking down barriers. A terrific read full of surprises.

Love is love, this was a cute read.
Tyler and Seth have such a sweet friendship and seeing them coming into their own in their relationship, is something special. I loved how consent was featured front an center, several times through the night in case anyone’s mind changed. Nixie is such an open minded free spirit. I enjoyed her energy and the fact that she had her fun, helped bring the boys together, and still stands her ground about not wanting anything serious.

Thanks to the machinations of his publicity seeking ex the media is questioning whether Tyler can be a leading man in or outside of bed. His best friend Seth suggests a threesome with his girlfriend to put the rumors to rest but appearances can be deceiving.
This is short and steamy but has enough humor and drama to make it an enjoyable read.

Another re-launch book but new to me, and to say my heart rate revved up while reading is an understatement. THIS is the Madelynne I know and love so dearly LOL This is a short one but stupidly good. ALL OF IT WAS GOOD lol Even the length of the story was on point with the characters LOL Like I said, stupidly good!

September 11, 2023always in these books they talk too much and it detracts from the emotion LOL. was a plus that this story was short and to the point. difficult to believe MC2 had wanted MC1 for so long but he was oblivious. for erotica, it shied away from some of the logistics.

This is a short, hour or so, read that takes place over a 24 hour period. Tyler is frustrated at an ex's disclosures & Seth decides he has a plan that'll help & make Tyler see how Seth feels. My only niggle is it ended quite abruptly, an epilogue would be good.

This was a fun little read. It wasn't the best set up and I thought that while consent was definitely asked for during the sex scene, there was some misleading and omission going on to get to that point. It wasn't too bad but I did notice it.
Overall a nice read.

Short, sweet, super HOT and to the point. Menages are not really my thing but I think it adds that little extra spice to the relationship between Seth, Tyler and Nixie. Guys normally get turned on by girl on girl action, so turnarounds fair play...
