Rachel Huston is a teacher at East Angels High, where she is directing a school play on the 'Addams Family' for Halloween, and also recovering from a heart-breaking divorce. She is beautiful, but now reserved in love, she is crazy, but now subdued. She also has a daughter, who wants her to start dating again.

Millie Rogers is an 18 year old, Halloween obsessed, ferocious, wild and outrageously sexy student that transfers to East Angels High, and auditions for the role of 'Morticia Frump' for Rachel's play. But little does she know, that Rachel is not only her English teacher, and the director of the play, but also the woman she went on a date with a few days ago, before she joined East Angels High as a new student.

As Rachel and Millie come face to face at school, after their sexually charged, and passionate date, both realise they are playing with fire, but then again, it's Halloween, and what's Halloween without witches playing with fire?

This is a hot and fiery novella, blanketed in all the Hallowen vibes, that will warm your hot like the hot choclate our heroines love so much in the book!

I am your friendly neighborhood Sapphic romance writer, who has a knack for writing steamy romances, that also work as comfort reads. I know, a conundrum! But once you give my books a shot, you'll know what I mean!
I live in London, a few streets away from where Sherlock Holmes used to live, so... if I you find me taking too long to publish my next book, I am probably off with Mr. Holmes on an adventure.

Bewitched would be an understatement

Bewitched follows Rachel and Millie after they meet at a coffee shop for a date that was setup by Rachel’s daughter. They notice straight away that there is quite the age gap. After they spent the date just chatting, they end it with a kiss that has Millie spinning. What they didn’t know was that Rachel would be the teacher organising the play Millie ends up being in at school. Where she is playing the amazing Morticia Addams. Which is where she meets Rachel’s daughter. This is quite the age gap romance, which I did struggle with due to the circumstances of the age gap, I also found the HP references to be an unfortunate addition to the story, but I otherwise enjoyed it. I loved that the play was the Addams family and that Millie loves Halloween. I also think the title was extremely accurate of Millie’s fixation on Rachel. There is talk of drug addiction, so please check CW if you decide to read this.

This Halloween centric age-gap romance has several appropriately macabre moments, and the main characters seem sexually compatible. The supporting cast is small but provides context for the story arc. There is an amusing argument debating whether the Lord of the Rings Trilogy is more a Halloween or Christmas movie. Unfortunately, there are some issues. The addiction story element is melodramatic at some points but seems all too easily resolved at others. Also, the text would benefit from another editorial pass. There are typos/auto-correct errors (e.g., “donut” instead of “doubt”) and he/she followed by her/him confusion in chapter four making it unclear who was cheating in Rachel’s marriage. The author’s intent can generally be determined but this is distracting to the reader. Overall, the premise has potential, but the execution is a little slap-dash.

3 stars. Meant to read this last month but then proceeded to completely forget about it. It was fine. I love a good forbidden age gap romance and this was definitely those things as it was a student/teacher romance but I found the humor and writing to come across as really juvenile. Millie and Rachel definitely had chemistry but I wasn’t feeling either of their characters that much. The plot itself with the whole school play was fun and I did like how the relationship was handled. Other than that this was just okay. I’ll probably read something else by this author eventually.

I went in blind and couldn't make it very far. I usually love holiday themed books. The writing style wasn't my cup of tea, and their names were used in almost every sentence to a dizzying degree that made me feel like I was watching a tennis match. The power dynamic mixed with the young age, personally, was too much for me.

Interesting Halloween Romance!

This was a very quick and cute story about a play being put on in school. The new girl and her teacher already passed paths. Although this was missing a little something from her usual book, it was still good and entertaining.

Quite a lot of grammar mistakes.

Either the editor or proofreader missed or ignored the mistakes. Certainly hope the next book had a different proofreader or the current one woke up and did their job. The story itself was good and enjoyable.

I really liked...

The story and the characters. Honestly if you have not given this writer a chance you should. I would have liked a epilogue of what happened after.

Cute Halloween read. Nothing to write home about, but entertaining nevertheless.
Good build-up with a nice level of spice. If you are into low-level taboo, slow-burn, forbidden romances, go for it!

A short and cute Halloween story.
Rachel and Millie meet on a date, and then they realise a few days later that Millie is a new (18 yo) pupil at the school where Rachel teaches.
This is happy, cute story, with a lot of emotion between Rachel and Millie. In places this is so crazy, so funny. Overall, the story is well written, the characters are very good. In places the prose is beyond excellent.
However, the English is a bit unusual. Too many commas. Occasional spelling errors, and the language doesn’t flow - in the spoken parts there are few contractions, and people speak with contractions. There are a couple of name and pronoun errors, and a few grammar problems. Really the book just needs a good editor/proofreader.
Also a major continuity problem - Lily, Rachel’s daughter, found Millie on Tinder for Rachel, and encouraged her mother to go on a date with her. But then later in the book Lily has forgotten all that, and it’s even unsure if Lily realised her mother liked women now.
Overall, this is well worth reading for a fun story, if you can overlook the problems. I am giving this four stars - it would have been five but for the problems, as the story is very well told.
