Somewhat useless. I noticed too late that this was published only one year after the Tokyo subway attack, and indeed, the book only takes us through the first day of Asahara's trial. It seems this slim book was rushed to presses to capitalize quickly on any Western interest in Aum Shinrikyo while they were still in the news.

I didn't totally finish this book, it's one of the books I was slowly working on that burned recently in a fire. Fascinating story and this is from what I've heard one of the best writings on the subject in english. I highly recommend. If any one wants to buy me a new copy that'd rule! :P

Lot of good info on the cult , but writing style is sketchy . Author goes all over the place , then back , then drifts off again .
