What do you do when the one person you’ve loved since you were seventeen years old breaks your heart?
Brook and Tanner have been a thing their entire adult lives and neither can live without the other. But when Tanner makes a terrible mistake, Brook decides it’s time to live a life away from the club and away from Tanner.
His betrayal runs deep, and when the woman who caused it all reveals she’s giving Tanner the one thing Brook can’t, it pushes Brook farther away. She surrounds herself with new friends, trying hard to move on from her husband and the club.
But it’s not as easy as she thought, and she takes comfort in the fact that Tanner is hanging back in the shadows, watching her every move and refusing to give up on them.
Tanner doesn’t remember the night he destroyed his life. The only evidence is the word of a woman who insists on hanging around the club, becoming a pain in his backside and a drain on his wallet.
He doesn’t know how to be anyone other than Brook’s husband, and every breath he takes without her is painful. He refuses to give up on the love of his life, but to get her back, he needs to work out what exactly happened that night, even if it means dragging up his painful past.

*To understand Brook and Tanner’s journey, you’ll need to read book two in the series – Kain.

**Spoilers from last book**
Brooke and Tanner have been around since Cooper, and their situation was setup in the last book. Brooke pulled away when she learned she couldn’t have children (without assistance). Tanner got drunk at a party and woke up with a naked new club girl (Melissa), he can’t remember anything but says they slept together. She showed up at Harper and Kain’s wedding and announced that she’s pregnant.

I’m going to be honest… I was bummed about this one because this H and h was the only couple that were solid and not cheating on each other. Tanner was OBSESSED with Brooke, like he couldn’t stand to be away from her, and she seemed to like his stalker ways. They’d been together for years, so I was SO upset when I read the Melissa part.

Making things worse was this conversation from the last book which was so far outside of Tanner’s typical MO.

Tanner, sighing. “It’s not me. I don’t do that shit, and now, I feel as guilty as fuck. I can’t look at her, I can’t have sex with her, the guilt is tearing me apart.” “Melissa, won’t leave me alone. She’s flirting her arse off and it’s distracting me.”

“So, you’re telling me that you fancy Melissa?” “No. Well, I don’t know . ..

“But you want to fuck Melissa?” I ask. “Damn, you make it sound so much worse than it is.

Thankfully, we get normal Tanner for this book, and he’s back to being completely OBSESSED with Brooke again.

Bottom Line- Ok. I liked that Tanner wasn’t an asshole like the other H’s, but I HATED how it was resolved. Especially Tanner’s undercover work. If felt unneeded and was never discussed, so what was the point other than to frustrate us? The ending was rushed (a common theme) and one of the baddies (the one I hated) got off with zero comeuppance…pfft. The mystery part was way better than the other books in the series, but their HEA was rushed… and there were loose ends.

Triggers-

OPP Shenanigans-

** Random thought- There’s this ongoing theme with the club girl Lacey causing trouble but it never being addressed. In Cooper, Lacey was his ex’s BFF and instrumental in trying to come between Mila and Cooper. Later it’s insinuated she slept with Cooper, but it’s never mentioned again. Here, we’re told Lacey told Jase’s ol’ lady (Kayla) he slept with Kim. (We’re also told Kim is crazy, but she’s watching the babies later 🤷‍♀️) Then we’re told Lacey was the one to inform Ginger that Harper’s baby was Kain’s, and again she takes the blame and never points the finger at Lacey. In Tanner, Lacey brought Melissa (his OW) back to the clubhouse and said she could stay knowing she just broke him and Brooke up.

horrible ending also sounds really familiar……

Yep I’m sure I’ve heard this story before in another mc romance but whatever.
Spoilers:
Guy gets drunk wakes up next to naked club girl who says they did it. Fast forward months later Club girl says she is preggers.
Guys wife had agreed to not follow through on their own pregnancy when they were 17 and now can’t have kids without intervention which they haven’t done because he says not the right time yet (same story when he made her lose the first kid). Thing is, he is obsessed with his wife and only wants her for himself and kids would take her attention from him. Like his peace and mental health is tied to her presence next to him literally….. or he goes crazy.

So of course double betrayal. He cheated (when he was literally obsessed with his wife) And he got cub girl preggers stealing wifes dream.

Except he didn’t. That’s right. Big setup, revenge, drama. But in the end he didn’t cheat and kid wasnt his.

So why the bad ending tag? Because author has guy and his wife claim the kid to raise… yep that’s right, claim the kid to raise but don’t tell anyone outside mc that it isn’t his kid (everyone thought he cheated remember) which is how they have legal rights….

So is ok too have everyone think that he cheated including his mother who thinks it’s still his bio kid.

Unrealistic…. The wife could never bond to this kid that ruined her marriage (they are still shaky before epilogue, talking about how they have to work things out still)…….. Just isn’t realistic that author expects wife to bond with a crazy woman’s kid who could at any time come back for him (oh but the husband says he could always just kill bio mom if need be). Could have been written any other way. “Was other club guys baby” “was not real pregnancy” anything but this.

Also in epilogue six months later they renew their vows where they reveal how they had finally gotten intervention conception and were now pregnant.

There was no need for the fake OW baby to be claimed, they are now pregnant with their own. So why? To frustrate readers?

Also in book before this one where the fake cheating occurred, at one point after fake cheating scene guy mentioned how OW kept flirting with him and his pres asks him if he is interested in OW and his answer was no, idk, maybe I’m so upset…….. so pres counsels to either tell his wife or end things with her to explore other options with flirty girl. This was so unrealistic also because the whole trope was that he was insanely devoted and obsessed to his wife, like her presence was tied to his peace and mental health. So why would he say that?????????
And in this book there was no wavering on his part. Just stalking and obsessing over his wife on how to get her back.
Get it straight! I think I’m done with NJ author.
Just lazy unrealistic writing.

My rating: 2 1/2 stars

What I liked: I liked how Brook(h) moved on. I just wished she would have made Tanner(H) suffer especially since he was with Melissa(ow/club chick). He also didn’t have to go to Brook asking for the divorce papers to sign and yell at her when she talks badly about Melissa (hell he didn’t have to do half the stuff he did). I also liked that they kill Tanner’s dad, Hawk and Kenny.

What I didn’t like: First, I hated how Tanner slept with Melissa because he was trying to find out what she was up too. Did he really have to sleep with her??? It actually ruined the book for me. Second, I hated that he was treating Melissa better than he ever did with Brook(who he is supposedly madly in love with) why did he have to do all that stuff. Third, when they tell Tanner that Brook is missing he acts like nothing is wrong but we are supposed to believe he loves her so much (lol). Fourth, I hated how they let Melissa get away and on top of that they let her go with the money :{ and lastly I needed more at the end (I needed to read about them discussing what the H did with Melissa and why, did he wear a condom, is he taking her on dates, is their relationship stronger).

How hot was it: 3 out 5

Details/Triggers: H and h have been together for a long time. In the previous book we know that the H was drunk and woke up with a club chick. She tells him that they had sex but he doesn’t remember any of it. Club chick gets pregnant and tells H it’s his. Club chick tells h that the H is the father before H can tell her. h leaves him. H realizes something isn’t right and decides to pretend with the club chick (he has a sexual relationship with her). Finds out he didn’t cheat. h gets kidnapped. H and his club comes after her. They kill the H’s dad, and other two men. Club chick delivers a baby boy and up and leaves with the money. H and h take the baby as their own. They get remarried and are expecting their own baby.

Final thoughts: Why does this author always make the heroine feel like second best? Yeah the h is a little bit better in this book then other h’s in the other two books and does stand up for herself but I still felt like at the end she just accepted everything that happened, making her another doormat. Hell, I feel sorry for all of the heroines this author writes. This would have been so much better if they would have killed the club chick and if we got more at the end with them talking everything out.

I enjoyed the other 2 books in the series. Nicola Janes writing always hooks me and although Cooper and Kain were completely Assholes without a romantic bone in their bodies I really liked the angst and drama of the stories.

Tanners story I was weary about starting because out of the 3 men, he was the most solid in his relationship with the fmc. He was a good guy, a softie and I was afraid that the book would ruin that perception of him. Actually throughout most of the book his image was in tact..until around 75 percent in when you realize what he's willing to do to uncover the truth. Also I was hoping the fmc wouldn't exhibit any doormat traits and well she was resilient until that 75 percent marker then I had to scream, " No girl..dont you know where his ass just was..yeah thats right it wasnt just you laying beside him"

Always entertaining series though so I would recommend the book for sure..slightly watered down drama and angst compared to the other books in the series though.

Great story of Heartache and overcoming it. Brook is a strong woman and I loved her character. She made a couple of mistakes but dug her heels in and stood strong. She was determined to start over.

Tanner he was so lost without her you just want to hug him. He just wants his Brook back. Truths come to the surface and threats are revealed. Even some get what's coming to them. Eventually I hope Melissa will. I kind of felt bad for Hawk.

Great Ending!.

For years, I have been doing re-reads of this originally released series under Splintered Hearts.
These men are what biker books should all have : cheating SOB that has no need to grovel.

From here on out, consider me the Unsafety Squad and hear me scream loud, and proud, "I don't want to read a book unless it has cheating/betrayal, angst, with an unapologetic alpha!"

I loved Tanner......please write more like this series.

This book was so messy. It’s the third in the series, and this one’s about Tanner. Tanner’s married to Brooke — they’ve been together forever, childhood sweethearts or something — and he’s completely in love with her. But when the book starts, Brooke has already left him because he cheated on her with a club girl named Melissa, who’s now pregnant. (Apparently this came out in book two — I didn’t read it, just jumped straight into this one.)

The whole book is basically Tanner stalking Brooke, trying to win her back, but she’s not having it. Melissa is still hanging around, visibly pregnant, though Tanner hasn’t hooked up with her again… at first. Then this guy named Hawk (from another MC) comes into the picture and asks Brooke out. They kiss, and Tanner warns her that if she kisses him, it’s over for good. She kisses him anyway, and Tanner backs off a bit.

Then we learn that Tanner was abused as a kid by a family friend — and his dad knew and did nothing. Now Tanner’s dad is back, and Tanner suspects Melissa is plotting to get her hands on money he received as compensation for what happened to him. So he pretends to be into Melissa, acting cold toward Brooke, trying to find out what Melissa’s really up to.

At this point, it seemed like maybe Tanner hadn’t actually cheated on Brooke in the first place — I had hope! But nope… while he’s “investigating” Melissa’s intentions, he ends up actually sleeping with her a couple of times. 🤦‍♀️ Meanwhile, Brooke thinks they’re done and goes on a date with Hawk.

And then things just get messier: we find out Hawk and Melissa were secretly a couple, and the baby is actually Hawk’s. Plus — plot twist — the man who abused Tanner is Melissa’s father. They kidnap Brooke, and Tanner ends up killing Hawk, his own father, and the abuser to save her. Melissa runs off, and in the end, Tanner and Brooke are raising Melissa’s baby, Caleb. The epilogue shows them having renewed their vows, and Brooke is pregnant again.

Honestly… this book was all over the place. I had high hopes when it looked like maybe he hadn’t actually cheated — but then he does. And there’s zero groveling. I really wish Brooke had slept with someone else, to be honest. But it is what it is. If you’ve read the first two books, you kind of know what to expect — Tanner’s just a douche.

Angsty Second Chance Romance

Tanner and Brook had been together forever but Tanner brought their relationship to a screeching halt when he thought he had betrayed her so now she is trying to make her own life away from the club. She has a new place of her own, a new job and is making some new friends. Tanner doesn’t remember what happened the only thing he does know is that he wants Brook back and is desperately trying to make that happen.

Some things are definitely not what they appear to be and it turns into a “who done it” storyline that made it a big page turner. Tanner’s very sad childhood plays a big part in this book as well and broke my heart hoping it all can be put back together again.

I love this series.
I was excited to read Tanner and Brook's story but at the same time knew there would be parts of it that I wouldn't as it carries over from the ending of the previous story.
The story is based on a longstanding couple, very much in love, who because of a mistake is broken apart. Without this there would be no story but it is contrived, all too convenient to be believed for certainty.
Brook longs for a child, but has difficulty conceiving and Tanner is reluctant.
He succumbs to Melissa's attention (club whore) despite previously avoiding her advances, waking up naked with her in the club after a night of partying with no recollection. He keeps it quiet and weeks later she announces to everyone that she is pregnant with his child.

The beginning of the end of the marriage and relationship.
The story should focus on Tanner and Brook, yet I felt it was more Tanner and Melissa, with Brook looking on. Rather than Melissa intruding into the marriage, I read it as Brook being on the sidelines

This is where I find fault...Tanner is desperately in love with his wife, has repeatedly warned Melissa to back off . He had the power to push her out of the club, but continues to tolerate her behaviour. He admits to being conflicted by her continuing flirting and responds to her when drunk.
He simply accepts her claims about the baby being his..no proof requested, such a DNA/paternity test and no-one mentions it.
He pays over money every time she asks, simply grumbling..again no question. He pleaded not wanting anything to do with her or the baby.
Melissa returns to the club, yet everyone accepts it without question, because she said she has nowhere to go. This is more conflicting as she is simply tolerated, irrespective of her difficult behaviour.

He continues to float in and out of Brook's life after she has left the club, despite her telling him to stay away. There are problems between these two that are unresolved and play a big part of the storyline.
There are unexplained background issues Tanner is dealing with. There is club business and with the clashing of individual problems and anxieties, the dynamic is interesting. The threats from others brought drama on all sides.

I liked the issues involving the breakdown of the marriage, but would have preferred to read the parts involving Melissa being dealt with differently. She should have been kept and managed at distance from the club, leaving it until the child was born in order to establish proof. She could have continued to meddle and trouble causing, which I feel would have made to storyline stronger and still ended in the same manner without losing impetus.
I felt frustrated by the lack of control by Tanner and the club, as it was all handed over to Melissa, diluting the havoc she could have caused.

Hence my 3* rating,.

What a childish book. I can’t believe I wasted my time on that shit.
From the first chapter, I knew that the girl played them, but that wasn’t there problem. I didn’t feel any kind of love or grovel, just obsession (which was not sexy at all).
“I mean, we get rid of it. I can’t share you yet, Brook. I haven’t had enough time with you.” Really!!! The heroine is really pathetic to believe those words.
Also after she got aborted and couldn’t get pregnant, the hero didn’t show any kind guilt.
I think the author thought that those are not fucked up enough, so she let them raise the child of the gold digger whose father sexually abused the hero

Tanner and Brook had been inseparable for years but now she couldn't bare to look at him, Tanners mistake is to much to handle. Brook moves on with her life the best she can, whilst Tanner still watches her from the shadows and working out why several things don't add up for him, but can he ever win back his Brooks trust and love? Well written, engaging story best read in order, contains cheating and the aftermath. The characters draw you in with deep raw emotions and a great storyline that has you hooked!

Tanner: The Splintered Hearts MC Series by Nicola Jane full of heartbreak, danger, angst, violence, and a second chance romance.

This is an intense, raw emotional read about Tanner and Brook, their relationship is one that is full of mistakes, lies, child abuse, cheating or is it just a ploy to break them up. These two have been together since they were 17 years old but along the way their journey is one that is heartbreaking as these two do not know how to communicate what they feel for each other. Brook is this strong independent woman who feels at times that Tanner is too possessive, will not open up about his past and uses makeup sex when they have arguments as well as her inability to have a child due to the choice Tanner imposed on her.

One night Tanner makes a mistake wakes up drunk with Melissa club whore in his bed. When she informs him that she is pregnant, before he can tell Brook he messed up, Melissa tells Brook everything. Hurt and angry Brook leaves the club to start a new life without Tanner when she learns he cheated on her and that Melissa is giving him the one thing she can't as she will not forgive him for breaking her heart. Tanner can't live without her and is beginning to lose control as he is starting to behave in a way that is not normal as he is drinking more, lashing out to his brothers and is obsessed by stalking Brook. Even his club president is trying to help him but Tanner can't get over Brook. He will have a hard time trying to win Brook back when she starts to date a biker from another club. With all of the twists and turns in this story Tanner's past comes out about his abuse when he was a young boy, as the man accused is coming out of prison and his father is threatening him. When Brook learns about his past she is heartbroken, even with the passion that is still between them can she trust him again? How will all of this end when Tanner starts to remember that he could not have been with Melissa because of the abuse he endured so he comes up with a plan to trap Melissa to learn the truth by pretending he wants her. But it maybe too late as Brook is taken by Hawk. Tanner and his brothers are trying to find where Hawk has taken Brook when he receives a call from Kenny to hand over the money Tanner was awarded when he was a young boy if he wants to see Brook alive. While held captive Brook learns that Hawk and Melissa are together and that he is the father of her baby she also learns that Kenny is her father the same man who abused Tanner.

We have a dramatic rescue when both Kenny and Hawk are taken care of, Melissa has her baby abandons him and runs off with the money. Now Tanner and Brook learn that they were used by Melissa through lies, manipulation and greed with the help from Hawk who was in on the dishonest scheme. After the danger is over, Tanner and Brook are trying to start over as they will end up raising Melissa's baby as their own, but Brook lets Tanner know that if they were both secure in their marriage Melissa would not have been able to break them up, in order to move forward Tanner has to give her some independance and they need to work together to fix their marriage. This story was heartfelt, emotional and full of intense passion and love as both Tanner and Brook work towards a life together will end up getting a surprise in the end. I highly recommend Tanner: The Splintered Hearts MC Series by Nicola Jane which will take you on one hell of a rollercoaster ride that about an undying love that is raw, intense and full of suspense and drama! Can't wait for the next book in this amazing series!!

I can’t share you yet, Brook. I haven’t had enough time with you.

I received a free advance reader copy and am voluntarily leaving a review. I first started reading Nicola Jane with Riggs’ Ruin and the Kings Reapers MC series. Those were amazing! And, Tanner did not disappoint either. I was glad to be able to review this title as part of The Splintered Hearts series.

Tanner is the third in the series. Though I have read the titles in order, starting with Cooper, it is not necessary as the author provides enough backstory to understand where Tanner, Brook, and the woman who claims she’s having his baby fit into the Hammers MC world. Tanner is a journey of self-discovery for both Tanner and Brook. In dealing with the loss of their relationship, Brook thrusts herself headfirst into a new career, new friends, new clothes, and a new place to live. Tanner, however, is struggled to come to terms to having a life without Brook and what it means to have a baby with a woman he doesn’t even like. He claimed never to want to share Brook with a baby and yet he’s facing a future with a baby and with a woman that isn’t the woman he truly loves.

And while Brook is struggling with Tanner’s betrayal, she’s finding it difficult to completely block him from her life all at once. She’s aware of his continued presence and it seems to steady her, making her feel safe at times even at is frustrates her. It’s also fun to read how both their friends work to try to get them back together. Because this can’t be end for Tanner and Brook. During this time, Tanner is also challenged to face a part of his past that he has tried to ignore for too many years. His ultimate decision to confront this painful part of himself is a turning point for both Tanner and Brook.

Their individual struggles, insecurities, and challenges help to create tension throughout. All the characters are strong, alpha, and interesting. The author kept me interested as Tanner and Brook learn to forgive themselves, each other, and trust each other again.

this book could have been so much better. At some points it felt like reading teenagers, certainly not mature badass guys. Tanner and his club were not the brightest of the bunch for sure.
I totally understand the idea of these guys being dense (they are of course men ;) - cue sarcasm) but the way they handled the whole thing had me rolling my eyes constantly.

What I liked
-I like the beginning of the book
-the idea of Tanner "cheating" because he was passed out
-Brooke (everything about her)
-Tanner's past and aha moment, when he realized that he couldnt have cheated.
-the ending

What I didnt like
- the fact that at the beginning Tanner persuaded Brook to "take care" of her pregnancy because they were too young. I'm in favor of choices, but this was too much.
- the way the whole club treated the whole story, and the idea they came up that Tanner should continue the "charade" of the loving boyfriend WHILE HE WAS STILL MARRIED
- the fact that we read a couple of paragraphs of him pretending to be a good boyfriend, doing things he hadn't done with Brooke. That would have been ok, IF ONLY HE DIDNT SLEEP WITH the OW for months, stating that she was insatiable. Of course, we assume also that he didn't use protection, since she was already pregnant and they "were in a relationship"...
- when all was revealed, he was so happy that he hadn't cheated all those months ago. So here I assume either the author missed the fact that she had made him cheat, when the ow as brought to the MC because she was heavily pregnant (again he never signed the divorce papers so he was still married to Brooke), or the character was so DUMB he couldnt put 2 and 2 together: that he in fact cheated and this time while sober, multiple times.

Yeah....

He’s loved her since he was seventeen. Obsessed with her and would do anything for her. Why would he break her heart?

Tanner doesn’t remember a lot about the night the changed everything in his life. He just remembers waking up and finding his two best friends and the woman that will ruin his life. He can’t give up on the only woman he’s ever loved, so he’ll keep an eye on her, no matter if she lives at the club or not.

Brook has only ever loved Tanner and they had their life together. Now her life is in her own hands, and she will live it on her terms. Changing a lot about her, including the way she dresses and making new friends. When she decides to move on, will it be a mistake, or the best decision she’s made yet?

I really enjoyed this book, even though it was my first book in this series. I will go back and read books 1 & 2 though. Tanner and Brook have a lot of hurdles to jump over, and the club is behind them all the way, but Brook wants nothing to do with her old life. Tanner is at a loss as to what to do. He’s lost, hurting, and trying to stay above water. When he learns that his past is coming back to seek revenge, secrets are revealed, as well as betrayal. I loved the characters in this story, and I look forward to reading more of The Splintered Hearts MC books. I give this story a 4-star review.

Not what you are expecting but better!

As I have read more and more of this trope (MC's), I have found no two books, series are a like, this does not mean that they are not all amazing just that they are different.

This series was no exception, different from all the others I have read so far, but this third book, the plot is so very different, it was definitely an MC story, all the characters were great and it was nice to see the couples from the first to books and the other single members. There was angst, and OW/MC bunny drama etc. which we look for in this trope but even though it's labeled a romance, there was not a lot in the story, there was some steam but the story took precedence here.

It was a really great read for both what it had and what it didn't There was a sweet HEA and a adorable epilogue.

I am not sure if this is the last book in the series. If it is, then it is a nice send off, if it is not the end, then it is a nice segue into the next adventure.

I love this series and as the author so neatly puts it in the foreword, we hate Cooper, Kain and Tanner, but also love them just as much.

Love lost in the harshest way I love how Brook handled being apart from Tanner and actually I think it really helped her find her own identity. She certainly ended this book in a much stronger position in their relationship.

Tanner is #stalkerboyfriendgoals

He takes creepy stalker so far into the next level it becomes a desirable trait!!

I got a little lost with the unwinding of the drama and couldn’t work out if the other ol ladies knew or not (otherwise what did the text message mean!!) but a strong, involved story that will pull at your heart.

A fitting conclusion to the series (unless the author fancies continuing by any chance….).

just…..what?

If you like men who treat women like crap, who never and I mean never make up or grovel for being a douche, then this author is for you. I’ve read two of her books and I really don’t know why I did that honestly. All her men cheat. And all her men are worthless. Honestly bring nothing to the table. The women are such pushovers it’s ridiculous. I think she was trying to go for sons of anarchy but it just turned to word vomit. Nothing about this book is romance. And I love angst. I can even enjoy a good cheating trope if done right. I love non redeemable men, but there has to be something that makes them worth it and these boys ain’t it. I will not be picking up another from this author. Ever. Just go ahead and save yourself a few hours and skip past this one.

The plotline seems intriguing hence why I gave this a chance even knowing most biker’s books always involve cheating so I thought maybe this was different because how obsessed he was with his wife but apparently I should have trusted my guy. So spoiler- the kid wasn’t his but I lost my interest when I found out Tanner slept with Melissa because he’s trying to figure out what’s her plan. Lmao what? Really?

And of course the guy Brook’s interested to move on with was actually a bad guy. Typical..

This gets 2 stars instead of one just because Brook stood firm on moving on even if she faltered once or twice or even when she and Tanner got to the point of being ridiculous with the push and pull.

That being said, this book just made a point that I could never give biker/MCs books another chance. All of them involves cheating and shit treatments to women.

What a twist!

I’m soo happy with the ending to this series😭😭😭 After Kain & Harper’s story damn near messing with my nervous system, this helped calm me down lol

SPOILER ALERT

I was truly heart broken for & with Brook in the last book, I just couldn’t believe someone as obsessed & in love as Tanner would do something so stupid… and boy I’m glad I was right! Geezuz what a twist, I never saw that coming at all, I was soo relieved to know the baby wasn’t Tanners, but most all of I was happy they made it back to each other with their very own baby on the way with a bonus baby as a big brother.

Why do I want someone as obsessed with me as Tanner is?😂 somehow the possessive husband really turns me on hhahah

Thank you for ending Splintered Hearts like this, I can be happy for them all peacefully now.

Tanner by Nicola Jane. It’s the maddening story of Tanner and Brook. After a devastating breakup, things have really changed between these two. Brook is adamant that she wants nothing to do with him. He has troubles of his own….yet, there’s always that niggling presence of the other that neither can deny. But, thee wounds are so deep….can anything be done to salvage this relationship?

Loved Brook!!! She blew me away….she’s so strong!! Tanner is obstinate and refuses to see things any way but his!!! He can’t see the forest for the trees!!! But, hopefully things will be resolved??? Wonderful story!!

I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I loved Tanner and Brook's story. Brook leaves Tanner and the club and finds an apartment and a job. Tanner can't help himself and has to keep watching her to make sure she's safe despite the other brothers in the club warning him against doing this. Brooke got sick of Tanner's betrayal getting thrown in her face at the club every time she sees Melissa there. Melissa can't help herself and keeps flaunting it at Brook. Brook feels betrayed after what Tanner made her do when she was 17 and she will never have that dream again. Things start falling to pieces when Tanner's past comes back to haunt him.
I received a copy from Booksprout for my honest review for NNBB. If you love an MC romance with some twists and turns you will love this book.

So far every book I have read in this series has OW drama - pregnant OW drama. It’s like birth control doesn’t exist or std don’t exist!

Tanner and his wife, Brook can’t have kids. No matter, he sleeps with a club girl and knocks her up. He takes her word for it that it’s his kid. A simple DNA test would resolve the paternity but does he ask for one? Nope. Wife dumps him and he tries to get her back. And don’t get me started about him having sex with same club girl when wife dumps him or how they handle the baby.

What a mess. I think I need to stop reading this author’s books because you have to totally suspend your intelligence to accept what is happening. If you can do this, then this is an ok read.

What can I say only that this book that almost tore my heart out. Brook and Tanner have been together for years until one night he ends up sleeping with Melissa and she ends up pregnant. Brook leaves him and the MC club and tries to move on with her life but it is not easy with Tanner stalking her daily. There are twists in this book that I did not see coming but these things broke my heart for both Brook and Tanner. This is a must read for anyone who loves a great romance filled with some unexpected events.

I've not this series before and after reading book 3 I can't understand why I haven't. I was drawn into Brooke and Tanner's world from the beginning. Lies, deceit, child abuse, cheating... or was it cheating, a past that threatens to destroy two lives. Brooke is a strong women and Tanner is the lov ed of her life, childhood sweethearts who only had eyes for eachother, but lies and deceit tear them apart. I laughed, I cried, my heart broke and it was put back together. How did it start, how does it end, do they get their happily ever after. Guess your gonna have to read this book for yourself and find out. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Tanner and Brook have loved each other for so many years. They married but couldn't get pregnant. They fight and they love. Another gal comes along and her news drives Brook and Tanner apart.
Nicola carefully builds her world and characters and draws her readers in. There is angst, lies, deception, danger, MC, bad guys, amazing friends, love and the plot twists -" I never saw that coming" was said many times as I read. She is an amazing author. And I am so pleased I found her. I have loved every book I have read by her.
