Opposites attract in this short and steamy romance about an alpha billionaire boss and his curvy executive assistant!
Eric I hate to let good things go to waste. Rebecca belongs with me - in my bed, specifically. She says she wants to be a mother more than anything. I’m the man who can make that wish come true. The man who can make all of her wishes come true. The man who can protect and provide. But Rebecca isn't like the others. She wants more than my money. She wants my heart.
Rebecca I’ve worked for Eric for years, and he’s never given me a second look. Now suddenly he wants to get married and have kids? Marriage and babies aren’t things you should write into a business contract, but I’m not in a position to turn down this deal. Eric’s bossy, domineering attitude should turn me off. Instead, it’s doing the opposite. He treats me like his property, claiming me and guarding me at the same time. It feels good to be taken care of. But I want more from a marriage than a transaction. I want love.
His Curvy Obsession is a short and steamy standalone romance. No cliffhangers! No cheating! And a happily ever after guaranteed!
I appreciated that although not said directly, the hero clearly has Asperger's.
Something else I really loved....
The heroine is plus size (I'm not sure if she's actually fat or just chubby) but when she refers to herself as fat to the hero, he doesn't correct her. He doesn't say, "you're not fat, you're beautiful" or anything like that. He thinks she's beautiful just as she is. No fatphobia involved.
Eric is the boss of a multi billion dollar company. He is stoic, anti social, and can't show emotions or compassion. Well that's what everybody thinks, but Eric feels emotions but can't bring them outside ...he is kind of blocked in that way. Rebecca is his assistant and think her boss is indifferent, but a drunken office party quickly changes her opinion. A marriage proposal gone wrong but with a great HEA 🥰🥰 I loved the depth of this story. Rebecca had to fight with her own insecurities, but Eric is just what she needs. 😍😍😍😍😍 sweet, romantic, bitter sweet , fun to read, steamy and with a beautiful HEA 😍😍😍
I picked up His Curvy Obsession hoping for a satisfying conclusion to the series, but unfortunately it suffered from the same issues as the previous books. At just over 100 pages, the story moves so quickly that there is little room for meaningful plot development, character growth, or world-building.
This book touches on important topics, including infertility, a high-risk pregnancy, and a neurodivergent hero. Based on the author's note, Rebecca struggles with infertility and Eric is written as neurodivergent, likely somewhere on the autism spectrum. These are topics that could have added depth and emotional weight to the story, but they are never explored in a meaningful way. Instead, the narrative jumps from Rebecca seeing two pink lines on a pregnancy test to their child already being in preschool or kindergarten. Major life events happen off-page, leaving readers disconnected from the journey.
One aspect that particularly bothered me was how Eric's struggles with parenting his son were portrayed. Because his son shares many of his traits, the story often comes across as though Eric sees those traits as problems to be fixed or overcome. Whether intentional or not, it creates the impression that there is something wrong with him because he is different, rather than presenting neurodivergence as simply another way of experiencing the world.
The romance itself also felt underdeveloped. One passage that stood out to me was:
"Eric’s eyes finally come into focus, moving across my face. 'I couldn’t do this without you,' he says. I don’t ask what he’s referring to when he says 'this.' Could be parenting. Could be marriage. Could be life, and everything in it, that he claims he can’t do without me."
Rather than feeling romantic, moments like this highlighted how disconnected the couple seemed. Their relationship lacked the emotional intimacy and partnership that I expect from a romance novel, making it difficult to become invested in their love story.
Like the other books in this series, there was potential here. The premise, the representation, and the emotional themes could have made for a compelling story. Unfortunately, the rushed pacing and lack of development left me feeling like I was reading a summary of a romance rather than experiencing one.
Overall: 1 star. A story with promising ideas that never takes the time to fully develop them.
OMG – I loved this book. Jenna might have written this using her personal experiences, but it touched my heart like no other as I suffered the same issue that Rebecca suffered. This is about Rebecca and Eris. Eric finally realized what LOVE was all about and his brothers finally were able to understand him. I love how Eric had his own issues but those were something that made him more desirable. Although moms mean well most of the time, this mom was just too pushy for her own good, but someone that Eric had figured out how to deal with. Rebecca's surprise at the end was great and I love that this is how it played out for her as it didn’t for me, but I have accepted that not everyone is that lucky! Jenna – I had tears in some parts of this book because like you mentioned it is hard to read some of the words, but by finding acceptance in the heart everything is alright!

Rebecca has worked for Eric since she got out of college. They had a good working relationship. When Eric finds a co-worker being aggressive with Rebecca at a office party his protective instincts kick in. Rebecca had mixed alcohol with some new meds which impaired her during the party so Eric took her home with him to make sure she would be ok. The next morning, she is stunned by what had happened and by the proposition Eric offers her. Both of them want a family of their own and are lonely so to be together and have a family seems ideal for them. However, Rebecca wants someone that can love her too. Will they find everything they want in their arrangement?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

This was such a good short read. Eric is a billionaire who owns a company with his two brothers. He is extremely smart but has little emotions. His brothers are married and starting a family on their own and he wants that as well. He is not sure of how love works but is willing to give marriage and family a try. His assistant is 30 and still single. Now that her sister is getting married , Rebecca is constantly ridiculed by her mother for not being married. She is concerned with getting older and lacking the ability to have a child. When Eric notices that Rebecca is being cornered at an office party he comes to her rescue. I love that even though these two characters both suffer with medical disorders that they embrace and support each other. We really see the grown of Eric’s character when he finds out what the dictionary definition of love it. Such great read and the medical conditions are handled with grace and dignity.
I like when a book surprises-like totally unexpected plot- this book does. It is a different kind of story with ‘different’ protagonists who actually have issues like normal people. This is not your usual kind of book with usual characters, scenes and plots. The author wrote this from a human angle and it helps to see that Heroes can be different too.
In exploring the ‘conditions’ of both protagonists, the author seeks to show their vulnerabilities and that protagonists are people too and not the ‘book perfect’ that most of us are used to.
I will recommend this book to readers to explore what it is to be on the other side of perfect, how some struggle to achieve what comes easy to others.
Eric is looking for the woman that would complete him and he has found it in his office assistant. When Rebecca gets tipsy at the office party Eric comes to her aid. he finds out that Rebecca wants children, love and a family. Eric tells her he can give her two out of the three and it is at this point that he starts his pursuit. It is filled with drama and kept me in their corner cheering Eric on to getting Rebecca as his wife!

This story brought me to tears. I can't have children, pcos being just one of the issues, but I felt these characters on a personal level. I'm adhd, but my ex may he rest in peace, had mild autism. This just was us. Lol. No other way to explain it. I write as well, so this just was like someone telling my story. Situations may have been different but not the background and characters. This was a great, happy story. X
Nice to read about people who are more real than they are fake. Today's society has gone and labeled so many people. Big girls are always looked at differently, you're too big for someone like him, he will only be embarrassed by you. You know, this wonderful story is an inspiration to all women and you never know what's in the cards for you. Love love love this read.
The author has given us a heartwarming story that pulls us into the lives of Rebecca and Eric and does not let go. This is not your typical hearts and flowers romance; the characters' personal issues keep us hoping they can find the peace and love they deserve.

Simple story, but unexpected characters It's a simple romance, but I liked the characters of Eric and Rebecca who ultimately have themselves as enemies. They are touching when they discover, after 7 years of working together, who the other really is. Their story is just as touching as it is then hot. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Rebecca has been Eric's assistant for seven years now. What she really wants is to write books and have a family. However, health problems and needing a job have prevented that. When Eric finds her being assaulted, he steps in and tries to help. What ends up happening is a lot more than either of them realized.

Rebecca and Eric appear to be exact opposites. They both struggle with their limitations and accepting them. They somehow connect on such a deep level, their feelings take over before their minds can catch up. And feelings are uncomfortable. I hope Jenna Cook continues to write characters like this. So very imperfect and so very real!
I love this book so much it hits home in more ways that one. This book is probably the most relatable work I’ve read, thank you to the author for touching such sensitive subjects in a way it creates awareness and doesn’t make it shameful. probably the only romance book I’ll be able to convince my husband to read and he’ll relate to and enjoy
This is an amazing book! I highly recommend reading this story! Ms Cook wrote a truly emotional and remarkable book! It may be a book everyone would catch on to right away, however, I think everyone would find it enlightening and truly emotional! I really enjoyed reading this story, and I want to thank you Ms Cook for writing it! 🌹🌹🌹🌹
I loved this book. I believe it’s the last in the series but it’s the first one I picked up.
Eric is one of the best characters I’ve come across in a long time. I absolutely loved him in all his neurodivergent glory. I loved the way he worked things out in his head.
This story had all the feel goods that I look for in a well-written romance. Strong male that isn't afraid to protect what's his, enough heat to singe the wall paper, a beautiful heroine that sees right through the alpha's BS, and a little action scene just to prove the hero really does know what's right. I agree with Eric, the jerkwad is lucky to still have the use of his legs. Good book!
I liked this book the best of the three brothers. They are all great books but this one just touched me so much. I am so glad that I have read so many of Jenna Cook’s books.
Fast paced easy reading finished in two hours loved Eric and Rebecca how they share their vulnerability and insecurities. Eric and his brothers also Rebecca and her sister is perfect siblings material ever loved
I really enjoyed this series and would have to say that this was my favorite of the three books but that they were all amazing and I enjoyed reading them all. I also plan to continue to reading books written by Jenna Cook.
Definitely a great story… for a short book that skipped through period of time it was done very well. Loved how it captured every aspect of the characters and worries and happiness they could have.
I love this story! The main characters are great together. They are so relatable and they complement each other so well. Their love story is so cute and it has just the right amount of spice. Read it! You'll love it!
4.5 stars. There was some grammar errors but nothing to major. The story was good, Eric’s and Becca’s story was amazing. I love an amazing quick read. Honestly a good start to my new year with this story lol. I might get into more of this author’s work.
This book is not necessarily bad, but it’s not really that good. It was very fast paced but at the same time slow at some parts it was kind of weird and I’m not sure if they actually like each other or not so yeah.
Eric is highly intelligent and values Rebecca but he doesn't process attachment to others in an emotional manner. Interesting how he deals with his growing awareness.
