All the people in my family are bound by blood.
Not in our veins—on our hands.
We live by a code of honor.
Betray one of us, you betray us all.
Yet someone is picking us off, one by one.
They think I’m just the pretty heir to my father’s wicked throne.
But they couldn't be more wrong.
Power wasn’t given to me. Vengeance isn’t granted.
Both will be taken by force. Both are mine to steal.
And I will rain blood down on my city until I have it all.

Welcome to the Red Diamonds.

Blood Rain is the first of five completed books following Sapphire Montana, the daughter of a powerful gang leader. This hilarious, spicy, and suspenseful series follows her as she seeks revenge for the deaths of multiple relatives. With the help of five male love interests including; a golden retriever hacker, a deadly but sweet hitman, a flirty boxer, a shy demolitions expert, and a grumpy street racer. Expect the occasional sweet and spicy romance vibes, on this found family and forced proximity quest for revenge, and slow-burn, mild enemies to lovers & fast burn, friends to lovers. In a dark romcom & hilarious suspense series with multiple love interests she will never choose between, that includes two of them together too in a slower burn friends to lovers arc.

This series is full of interconnected standalones, duologies, trilogies, and more — a world of powerful families, deadly rivalries, and unforgettable love stories. While each character in each main family (and the fun side characters) gets their own story, Sapphire's journey kicks it all off, and trust me — you’ll want to start here.

To this day I have never read something by Tierney that I didn't absolutely love, and I'm happy to say that's true with this book as well!

I'm not too well versed in mafia romance, but this book was everything! Sapphire is a strong female lead, that really doesn't need a man, but knows they are nice to have around anyway. Speaking of men, these boys got me MESSED UP.

Each one of them has something that is just so hard not to love, and they each have their own special relationship with Sapphire so you know she doesn't want to be without any of them. Overall, I LOVED this book, and I cannot wait to see what happens in Book 2!

10/10 would read again

Huh

I actually really liked this one.

This book was about a girl named Sapphire. (It’s honestly a great name, it fits in really well with the story) She’s the queen of the Red Diamonds, which is the leading gang in their city. When her dad is killed she is forced to flee and will try to take back control from the people that betrayed her. Together with some dudes (yes, it’s a RH) maybe she’ll succeed?

The writing was amazing and most characters were well developed. As it is only the first book in the series, there wasn’t much character development men I understand that will come eventually.

The FMC was a badasssss. I love her. She wasn’t just doing shit for nothing, she had reasons for everything she did and she actually felt real. All her feelings and actions are valid, which is rare. I support my queen.

Some parts of the book were cringe, sure, but that is to be expected. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this book and will be reading the next one ASAP.

I received an e-copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this one. I found it hard to put down! Some grammar issues, but I was able to overlook them to finish the book. I'm not sad about it either!

The FMC was a badass, and she had a purpose for everything she did. The character development lacked a bit. I would have liked to see more, even if it is the first book in the series.

I really enjoyed the story line but I can’t with the grammar. I get the FMC loves to speak Spanish mostly but it’s the “cannot, you are, I am, did not” instead of “can’t, you’re, I’m, didn’t…”. Sounds silly but it really makes a huge difference while reading. Regardless I’m still continuing the series

Being that this is the first book in a series, there was time spent to build the characters and plot, which I appreciated. Sapphire is a firecracker and doesn’t take sh*t from anyone. She knows how to protect herself and isn’t afraid to use any means or weapons necessary. The 5 guys, living together as ‘brothers’, all have different personalities, strengths and weaknesses. The guys take a deal from Sapphire’s father to protect her at all costs knowing his death was imminent but they didn’t realize just how difficult protecting her would be. Sapphire is ready for revenge and to take her rightful place as the Queen of the Red Diamonds business and of Diamond Grove. As Sapphire works to uncover who killed her father, who her stalker is and plan her revenge, she starts to develop attraction towards the 5 guys who are trying to protect her and keep her safe. This first book ends on twists and a cliffhanger and I cannot wait to read the second one soon!

This was the first book i've read by Tierney but it will definitely NOT be the last book. It was amazing. I loved every bit of it. It had all the qualities i really like, a why choose romance, a strong female baddass lead and a whole lot of plot and spice, the back and forth banter, just all of it.

We have Sapphire who is the daughter of the head of the mafia in Diamond Grove and without spoiling to much she gets in a lot of trouble. She is very skilled and trained by her father because she's his heir to the throne. I love her. She isn't afraid to speak her mind and put any man or woman in their place for stepping out of line.

We also have her bodyguards who i absolutely adore. They all have different personalities and it's very hard for me to choose just one as my favorite, i just can't. They have their personal traits which make them important to her and to the business. The way they interact with her is so beautifully written, they all are so different which makes it all the more interesting. But the one thing they do have in common is their love for their family and what they would do for them, her included now.

I'm HOOKED, absolutely hooked, i'm going to also get the paperback when it's out because i just have the have it. I can't wait for the other books because it does end on a cliffhanger.

One of my all time favorites.

I received an arc copy of this book in return for an honest review. I thought I’d already left a review but it would seem that it didn’t go through, so I’m trying again (sorry for the delay).
This is the first book in a new series from this author, and I was excited to read it, especially as she has become one of my go to authors.
This book is a reverse harem mafia romance book, and if you like these type of stories, then you will not be disappointed by this one.
The characters in this book are written very well and the author makes you care for them quite quickly. The relationships develop well in this book too, and it feels quite natural and not too forced.
One warning I will give you, is that this book ends in a cliff hanger, so be prepared to wait a little bit for the next book (although it will hopefully not be too long at the time of writing this).
I have kept this review as spoiler free as possible and hopefully the review is submitted this time. I definitely recommend this book to you, especially if you like Mafia romance or reverse harem books, you will not be disappointed. I think you may also find the author as a new go to author.

My oh my! What can I say about this book. First off I'd like to say thank you to Tierney for an ARC ebook to review. This was my first time reading something written by her and I can say after reading this book. It will not be my last.

This book was everything a why choose should be. The men in this book are top tier and the banter, spice, and plot is great!

I have found another female MC who rivals some of my favorites. Sapphire is incredibly violent, confident, and out spoken, which is everything I love about strong female character. She takes no shit and can get herself out of any situation. She had me laughing out loud so many times through out with her come backs.

Also! That cliffhanger! Wth! I need more STAT!

If you enjoy:

-mafia romance
-reverse harem
-banter galore!!!
-5 brothers sworn to protect
-strong, badass FMC
-great plot
-spicy af

Than you will enjoy this book!

Blood Rain

I would like to preface this by saying I am a daddy’s girl. So when I say I teared up… I teared up okay.

Now, this is the first book in a series and it did not disappoint. Sapphire is a daddy’s girl. She has always been raised in the shadows because of past misgivings that caused her father to be paranoid about her life. The book was spent developing this work and the relationships between Sapphire and the guys (Kody, Lincoln, Price, Misha, Logan). This was also slow burn and forced proximity. The spice was sooo good when it did happen. It was like an explosion.

Blood Rain is Tierney Storers BEST book yet!!!

I recived a free copy of this book for a review

Blood Rain is a mafia reverse harem with 5 males characters and a strong no nonsense female character.

I have read so many mafia romances but this has become one of my favourites.
I know I also write about how each of Tierney's books are my new favourites but its true.
This is the best book she has written and it shows in the story.

The story is written beautifully, it progress' very naturally, the characters and all written amazingly and that cliffhanger.

The ending came out of nowhere for me in the sense that I would of happily continued reading this book for hours but the book just finished leaving me desperate for the next.

Blood Rain made me cry, laugh and anticipating the next one.

I cannot recommend this book enough.

Got me wanting more like this... but thank the gods writes them so fast so i don't have to wait a year to get the next one, because i need book 2 like now! I love the dynamic between the main characters. They are well written and have a good diversity between them. Wich is not always easy to find...

Tierney has some kind of superpower that turns me into an emotional idiot when any major event happens to the characters. The chokehold this damn book has on me is insane!
I read a lot of mafia romance but this has definitely become one of my favorites. The banter and snark between characters is top tier and the developing spice between the group is 🔥🔥 I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2! Especially because of that cliffhanger she left us with…I’m excited to continue this story and see what happens to my boys and Sapphire!

Note: I received this book as an ARC. These opinions are completely representative of my thoughts on the book and are in no way influenced by any outside sources.

Holy cow that book was amazing! This a great mafia romance with dynamic characters and great plot. There was time spent building the relationships between the characters which I appreciate. It is a bit of a slower burn, especially for a dark romance but it was worth the wait for the spice. Excited for the next book, especially with that major cliff hanger!

Spoilers:

I can’t decide if I loved this or hated it but I also think I could just be impatient with the pace of this first book. It certainly picks up towards the end and the characters are all interesting but I need the guys to be written more clearly because they seem to blur in my mind.
Things I liked:
Spicy haunted house scene
Action and fighting
Twisty plot
Daily shower battles between her and Lincoln
Why Choose (No MM)
No OWD and I doubt there will be pregnancy trope.

3.5 ⭐️

I had to think about this one for a bit to ultimately decide how to rate. I finally decided on 3.5 stars. I liked the book, although I don’t know if it will be memorable long term, but I do plan to read the second.

If I rated the plot idea alone it would be a five. I really liked the concept of flipping the mafia tropes and having Sapphire be the strong leader. As a whole, I like Sapphire. She was hardcore and even a touch psychotic, and the author did a good job of giving her a backstory that would explain her personality.

Things start getting muddier after Sapphire though.

I liked the guys. I will admit early in the book I struggled to differentiate between them, but by the end I was starting to get a sense of their personalities. With 5 in the harem she tried to give a variety too. The boss daddy and cinnamon roll were expected. Then we have what I am calling the simp for lack of a better term, but at the same time I think he might be my favorite. Misha was sweet and you felt protective of him. Fourth, was Price who I thought was going to make his whole personality about being bi, but after the initial introduction he starts to become more cinnamon roll/dom confused. Finally, Kody I didn’t get a strong sense of his personality and role, he is definitely a caretaker but also had some dom characteristics. Hopefully in book 2 he is better defined.

The pace of the story was good until the last few chapters. Then it becomes this rushed mess of bombshells that don’t make sense. I understand ending on a cliffhanger, but it would have been better to end it after the shootout or make it longer and have the capture scene make sense. The second would have been my preference because a couple more chapters would not have made a significant difference in length but would have made it all less confusing.

The book could also use some editing for both grammar and content. I finally figured out the use of italics meant they were speaking in a foreign language, but that drove me nuts initially. There were also some consistency issues, like Logan being upstairs, but also included in conversations downstairs. Finally, if you are not familiar with a place don’t set your story there. It is set outside Las Vegas, but written using UK terms and behaviors. If Logan (who was born and raised in the US) wasn’t teased mercilessly for drinking tea, the whole group of them would be shunned for drinking instant coffee. Other aspects of the story don’t really make sense either if you are familiar with American culture, Lincoln’s illegal racing is not unrealistic, but it isn’t typically done on a dirt track, and nitrous is useless unless you are drag racing which they were not. I think setting the story in the UK would have made the story better for me because I spent a lot of time nit picking details and words that were not really important to the plot.

Star rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice rating: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

“I only fucked winners—kings who saw me as their queen and would trade their hearts for a single kiss.” 👑🖤

First off, the character guide and pronunciation guide at the start were fantastic. It was so helpful for keeping track of everyone. More books should do this! I also loved the map and there was even a home floor plan! I loved it, it really brought the world to life. There was a playlist page, but it was blank, which was a bit of a letdown. Thankfully, there was a link to an actual playlist in the scene they dance to, which got me excited again.

I went into this book blind and excited after seeing all those cool extras. But honestly, I started to get a little bored because after the initial chaos in the beginning, Sapphire doesn’t leave the apartment until about 72% of the way through. The pacing felt slow, but once she gets to leave the story takes off like a rocket. It was fast paced, action packed, and I couldn’t put it down.

Sapphire herself is amazing! She is a strong, slightly chaotic character who I absolutely adored. The guys in the story are all in for her from the start, even though she’s initially just a job to them. Even Lincoln, who isn’t her biggest fan at first, makes it clear he’s loyal to her. I loved all the guys, but Misha stole my heart. The way he helps Sapphire and sees what she needs before she does is so sweet. Every one of them is charming and impressive in their own way.

Overall, this book was a wild ride. The slow start was a bit tough, but once it got going, it was fantastic. Even though there were grammar issues, I will definitely be moving on to book two and looking at the author’s other work.

⚠️ Warning: my book information, shelves, and tags can be spoiler-y.

I stumbled upon this hidden gem while mindlessly scrolling through Instagram, and it's safe to say I've struck literary gold. Tierney Storer's writing drew me in instantly, and now, having devoured this book, I'm eager to explore her entire repertoire.

Storer's casual writing style creates a connection that extends beyond the protagonists to even the story's villains. It feels like navigating a universe filled with friends, acquaintances, and foes.

The narrative revolves around Sapphire, grappling with the loss of her last living parent and propelled into a quest for revenge and the reclamation of her crown. Teaming up with her father's right-hand man's sons, Sapphire embarks on a journey to regain her throne and avenge her family.

Sapphire emerges as the epitome of a badass boss – fiercely intelligent, compassionate, brave, strong, and infused with humour. Her story tugs at your heartstrings, yet you can't help but feel an immense pride in the woman she becomes and will continue to evolve into throughout the series.

As I pen down this review, my Kindle eagerly downloads the second book, signalling no time to waste, especially with the cliffhanger the author cunningly left us with at the end of book one!

Tropes:
Found Family
Enemies to lovers
Mafia RH
Mega Billionaire FMC
Insane Plot twists

RED DIAMONDS BY TIERNEY STORER
BLOOD RAIN REVIEW :

Blood rain is a phenomenal book encased in a capturing plot of action, romance, mystery and power of the female mind. You could tell this book was written with passion and every sentence has been altered to perfection. The main character is a female who goes through quite the journey! Her relationships brewing. Relationships ending. Questioning herself and her character. Oh my Lord the plot ! Gasps were made people!
I find it hard now to find a dark romance book where the female lead doesn’t fall to her knees at the first Prince charming she sees , or is always being protected because she’s too innocent. Now i have ! Some bits are relatable in the sense that you feel emotion towards the characters. I also feel that there’s an equal amount of time between all characters to make them memorable. Definitely give book two a read new characters come in which add to the atmosphere and lead you to understand the plot more as well as uncovering some mystery .
Do you love reading smut with a plot!? A bit of everything in his book! Not too dark but the perfect mix of hate to love. The perfect binge read.
Honestly, much thanks to the writer for coming up with such a imaginative book that fits into lots of categories, it’s awesome well done!

5/5⭐️

Tierney Storer’s Blood Rain is a haunting and beautifully written story that blends dark fantasy, emotional depth, and moral complexity into a story that draws you in right from the beginning. From the first page and chapter, Storer pulls her readers into a world of mystery, power, and control. This book made me feel all the plots and the twists lol, I was in love with each chapter as I barely could put the book down! I do love that Storer gives us character guides and outlines to further help the reader’s imagination and understanding within the story.

At its main plot, Blood Rain is a story about power, sacrifice, and the unrelenting pull of destiny. Storer put her all into these characters and explanations as no one is entirely good or evil, and each decision carries weight and consequence. The gem’s journey is marked by grief, courage, and the constant tension between survival and compassion, feels raw and deeply human. Each plot twist took me by surprise and made me realize you couldn’t even try to assume what was going to happen until it happened.

I received this book as an arc reader which I’m hugely grateful for as I’m a massive fan of all of Tierney’s work. And this book did not disappoint! I loved this book!! It’s an epic opening to the series!
We are introduced to Sapphire a strong and badass FMC and her gang of sexy men, Lincoln, Price, Kody, Logan and Misha. ( I must say Tierney knows how to write a sexy book boyfriend and we are likely enough to get 5 in this book 🥰) And each of them have their own special relationship/connection with Sapphire and it’s amazing how we get to see each grow within this book. Plus the spicy scenes are just hot 🔥 and leave you wanting more. But also the amount of twists and turns in this book will leave you on the on your seat and the cliffhanger at the end! I cannot believe I now have to wait (very impatiently) until next year for the book!
This book is 10/10 for me I highly recommend it.

Such an interesting story. Sapphire is the heir to the mafia kingdom her father ran after his death. However, her father ensured her security with the sons of his best man. Sapphire wants nothing for revenge for her parents after watching both of them die by rival gangs though. Will Sapphire find a way to get her revenge? Do they all survive this story?

I loved the idea behind the story but it was a very slow read for me. The plot was good but not great in my opinion. I felt like there were so many holes in the story but maybe they are answered in follow-up books. I loved the characters and watching them interact. I didn't see much relationship growth in this book but again it's only book one. I would continue the series because for me the issue was the pacing and nothing more. I look forward to see what comes next for these characters and what happens with that cliffhanger ending.

Okay first things first the covers of this series are AMAZINGGGG that being said I really really enjoyed this series and loved did the main female character and her first badassness. Secondly HOLY SMOKES THESE MALE MAIN CHARACTERS ARE 🥵🥵🥵. Seriously how do I get men like this.... I could totally shoot bad guys with this group. The guys are each different and the author did a great job writing their personalities and quirks, Price and Kody are my book boyfriends as of now, not to say the other ones aren't as great because Lincoln could hate kiss me and more anytime. However I'm a suckered for kody and Pricd like wrap me up in a bow and gift me to them. I digress, thirdly the overall story and backgrounds were easy to get sucked into. If you are looking for a reverse harem that will keep you wanting more this one is a winner.

This was amazing!?

I'm not very well versed into mafia romances so admittedly I jumped into this with both excitement and fear in case it wasn't to my taste.

Based on my rating I'm pretty sure you can figure out my feelings about this book.

This was EVERYTHING I WANTED FOR IT TO BE. The female MC is a strong woman who doesn't cower before danger nor is obsessesed with the lis, making her such an exciting character to read about.

The love intrests each had their own personality traits that made them unique, and we were given so many interactions with all of them that it's easy to understand why the fmc wants to be with them (girl I would too if I were you)

Overall a great read, one star off just cause I wanted it to be a bit longer, will definitely read the rest of the books in the series

I am in a constant state of underwhelm. I DNf’d some dark mafia books and some dark fae books so I thought, let’s try a gang book. But ya’ll this was just a silly mess.
If you love it great but I need a cohesive point. If you are telling me these guys are gangsters, fucking around with cars all the time and no real danger ain’t going to cut it.
These boys are about as scary as the pretend white boy gangs I grew up with that sold some weed and strutted around until someone kicked their asses and sent em home.
Perhaps I have gone too far into the dark to accept this watered down nonsense but here we are.

This story follows the tale of twenty-year-old Sapphire Montana, who finds herself entirely alone and with no choice but to fight to keep herself alive and claim back the city that she was always destined to own.
Tierney Storer brings us a dark why chose reverse harem mafia style 4 book series dealing with a dominant female lead character that takes the bull by the horns and tries to wrest control of her city from bullies.
I can’t wait to dive into more of this series.

Grrrrrr

I love the level of detail the author put into this book. From the introduction, maps and layouts to the characters details. *Chefs kiss*
There were a bunch of grammatical errors, but the plot was good enough to push through.
The grammer issues became really grating, I do wonder if there is a language barrier.
That being said the book is still really good. I could not put it down!! The tension, the story line, just everything.
What the fudge was that ending are you kidding me.....
