Rate this book
Lily Everly believes her life is ordinary. Professor of botany at a local university, member of an award-winning garden club, She never imagined that her passion for plants would land her in hot water. Unfortunately, that's exactly what occurs when she discovers a dead body inside her laboratory.

When an unusual case lands on his desk, Detective Aizoon 'Aizo' Burchelli believes it's a slam dunk. After all, the suspect is a local botanist and a herbalist familiar with the different uses of plants, including how to cause someone's death. Though he finds it challenging to resist Lily's unusual and eccentric blend of sensuality and no-nonsense practicality, there's still a matter of her being a suspect in his murder investigation and possibly connected to a plant smuggling ring. Drawn to Lily, Aizo wonders if his involvement with her will get in the way of his quest for the truth and solving the crime.

Part of the Plucking Series???

This book has a good mystery and romance attached to it. Lily and Aizo are opposites in some aspects but the same in others, yet they work together as a couple. This is very different than the other books in Plucking series and I'm not sure if it is really part of it. Missing words and letters were distracting and annoying making its rating 3.5 stars.
